From the moment I called, the staff was friendly and efficient, they had my order ready right on time. The pizza was still piping hot when I picked it up, with that perfect balance of crispy crust, gooey cheese, and just the right amount of toppings. You can tell they use quality ingredients and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Even the garlic knots were amazing (dangerously addictive!). There was one time when the pizza wasn't made to my liking and I called about it. They offered to just make me a new one at no charge! How's that for customer service? I wish this enabled me to give 3.5 stars, and I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. Yesterday, we tried this pizza place for the first time. My boyfriend stopped in, got a large Margherita Pizza, with fresh garlic. It was great, except for the oddity of the garlic being primarily on one half of the pie. However, I really enjoyed the pizza, and today thought hey, let's try a different pizza. I looked at their menu on SLICE, and another platform, where the Hawaiian pizza description is tomato sauce, cheese, pineapple and bacon. THAT IS NOT WHAT I RECEIVED. Instead, this pizza has NO SAUCE, and HAM instead of bacon. This pizza makes me sad. I'm not enjoying it, and it tastes like the inside of a Hawaiian empanada. In fact, I was so looking forward to this pizza, as it's the first thing I have eaten all day. It's so utterly depressing that I want to cry (that's an overreaction, clearly). That said, I'm annoyed at having spent $23 bucks on a pizza that didn't meet its description. I called up the pizzeria, and this is how they make their Hawaiian pizza -- no sauce, and with ham. (I let them know that there's a discrepancy w/ online menu and suggested they fix that.) Why their online menu says otherwise is a mystery. I'm trying to make this better ... I opened up a jar of Rao's pizza sauce, to dip this monstrosity into, but it's not the same. I wish I could order something else, but the boyfriend is content w/ this AND he has a Buffalo chicken roll, which he seems meh about. He keeps looking over at me and my barely touched slice, and telling me I look pissed. That's accurate. I'm still trying to find a good and CONSISTENT pizzeria, since moving from Brooklyn. The jury is out on this place. I will definitely order another Margherita pie w/ garlic, and see if that's as good as yesterday's, to see how that goes. After moving to the neighborhood two years ago, I've been trying to find a good place to grab a slice and have always fallen short. I'm happy to say the quest is now over, and Gigi's it is. Got two slices and an order of garlic knots. The slices didn't taste reheated at all - crust was still doughy, cheese tastes fresh - and the slice rivals any place I've had for a single slice out of the showcase. The garlic knots were good - very large and maybe could have used a bit more garlic sauce - but I will definitely be back here as my new regular pizza place! Glad I found it! read more

No one helped cancel my order (even the next day) and then it was marked as delivered. My family has been ordering take out from Gigi's for some years now. I'd say almost weekly we place an order to be delivered. My wife & I work late a lot and order pizza, sodas, pasta dishes, etc for us and the kids. (We initially switched to Gigi's because the other places nearby like Graziella's and Matese's quality started to dip and they're prices went up. We also got tired of getting overcooked or burnt pizza or a pie that was obviously sitting around for a bit. Why should we have to ask for a FRESH pie? And when we complained, we'd get 'talk back' from them.) But we absolutely made the right decision finding Gigi's. Gigi's prices are fair and free delivery: usually fast within a half-hour. The delivery boys are always polite. 99% of the time the food is great, and if there is an issue, THEY WILL RESOLVE IT. Customer service at it's best. Thank you Gigi's. read more

I love Gigi's its convenient and the staff is so nice!! There is a minimum on the credit card so make sure you have cash if it's under 20. Pizza is really good so are the salads and the garlic knots! Esp reheating the next day is really easy and still really good. read more

Rude and lazy staff! They have shrimp and they have a house salad but when i tried ordering a house salad with grilled shrimp was rudely told "we dont do that." Then the guy waved me out of the store because apparently doesn't care for my business. Little does he know i was ordering this specific dish for my Grandpa (who doesn't eat anything else) located in the rehab across the street and would have reordered this every night for the next 2 months and paid whatever price he put on it. Growing up, I was always taught never to call another persons cooking "disgusting". However, after tasting the pasta and SEVERAL appetizers from Gigi's, I must go against morals that have been hammered into my head since I was a little girl.... The food that I ordered : Linguini with white clam sauce : some of the clams were undercooked (as in.. They were SLIMEY even though they were in the pasta) The "sauce" was nothing more than warm salt water. Absolutely horrid. Baked clams : ritz cracker crumbs soaked in clam brine. Mussels : tasted like they were boiled in hot garlic water with a few squirts of ketchup "Buffalo wings" : Have your parents ever washed out your mouth with soap for swearing? Mine did. The "buffalo" wings I had from Gigi's tasted Like soap. Not even exaggerating. Also, I had to put quotations around "buffalo" because the wings I received were SWEET. it was some kind of barbecue sauce mixed with hot sauce. I didn't even bother to finish my food. I haven't had the pizza here, but after my experience with my order, I can't say I'll ever get around to trying it. TLDR; the food here is PUTRID. I have never set foot in this restaurant but I guess I was feeling bold (or just super hungry) and I decided to order thru Seamless as I had limited time to spare & they are close by. I've had good luck with most of the other Italian restaurants in the area so I figured I'd give them a shot. Well, even as hungry as I was, it was one of the more disappointing meals I'd had in a while. I ordered Chicken Francese. Now usually when you order this at most places, it comes with pasta. The online menu didn't mention any pasta, so I just assumed I'd get it. However, it was a lot cheaper than the other local places were charging for that dish. Now I know why. NO PASTA : ( Ok, so that's my own fault for making assumptions. But the meal...worst chicken francese I've ever had. It was like a bitter lemon sauce. I didn't taste the buttery, winey goodness that is francese sauce. I added salt. I added garlic, I added butter. Just to make it edible, but still...deeply unsatisfying. All that and it arrived late. Remember I was in a rush? All in all, the whole experience was sub-par. Just to be fair, I will give them a second chance with a different dish & then I can update this. Maybe pizza or a hero? Whatever you do, don't make assumptions about what is or isn't included, don't order delivery when you are in a rush, and most definitely stay away from their chicken francese! Maybe it's nostalgia, but Gigi's is seriously one of my most favorite pizza places in Queens. IMO, their sauce is really delicious and although their crust isn't really all that thin or crispy, their cheese and sauce more than makes up for it. When I'm in the mood or need to carbo-load before a big race, my go-to is always 2 plain slices and an order of their spaghetti marina. Makes me hungry just thinking about it! read more

I have been ordering here for over 20 years and order every Friday night and once during the week at an average of 60 dollars a week!!! That is 240 a month!! The OWNER is a REAL Creep!!!!! and deserves to get No Business!! I started ordering on Delivery.Com instead of calling because with delivery.com I can accumulate points for discounts & etc. However, I've been ordering their spring salad which comes with walnuts. I cannot eat walnuts so I would ask in the note section to instead put Avacado. They were all okay with that for quite a while! Pass few weeks I've noticed they were not putting in the avocado. So tonight after I put my order through on Delivery.Com, I decided to call them to remind them about the avocado!! Well, I cannot believe their excuse"I need to call in my order" and not use Del.com!!! When I asked why they said because avocados are more money.. I said i would pay the extra, but like using delivery.com...Well they kept telling me NO!!!!! I asked to speak to the owner (who I heard screaming in the background) but say he wasn't there!! This place is awful for delivery if you are getting more than one thing. Legit had a huge order, made sure they could deliver a big order with no problem, and they forgot two pies. Plus the initial delivery was ordered and they took over 90 minutes to deliver the first wave, when they forgot the food. Unless you go there directly, don't bother. Plenty of other NY pizza places that have their stuff together you can order from. read more

Best Pizza in NY. I grew up in Bayside, Queens on the best pizza anywhere , George's Pizza until they closed. Thats how I ended up at Gigi's in the 1990's, searching for the perfect pie. I am now living in Poughkeepsie since 2000 and still get my pizza from here whenever I can. I have tried different places from Nassau county to Dutchess county and Gigi's is consistently great, even after all these years. I just wished they delivered to my area. read more

Sadly this place is off my menu list. Of the three times I have ordered food. ALL THREE TIMES THERE HAS BEEN A MISTAKE !! This time was classic. The order was made and charged for all items. Yet the order came without the 2 liter soda that was billed. The Calzone was plain not with ham which is how it was ordered. The pizza was lukewarm at best. So from ordering the delivery it arrived shy about 10 min of being an hour wait. The Delivery guy gave me the order and said thanks and treated himself to a nice tip without even asking if I wanted change. The soda came 30 minutes after the meal was done. Very sad and poor service. You should close and stay closed. read more
