4.5 This is probably my most nostalgic pizza joint in Queens. I don't get to come here often, but when I do, I'm never disappointed. There's a reason why it's considered one of the best pizza places in NYC. It's located right off the Whitestone Expressway, at what many used to call "the Pathmark shopping center" (now Stop & Shop), right between the Subway and the Delicatessen. For those who haven't been here before, don't judge a book by its cover. From the outside and inside, it's a pizza place that probably hasn't been updated in over 15 years. The people who work there, know all the regulars. However, if you're looking for a classic slice that's thin, has a nice crisp, and features sauce and cheese that complement the dough, this is your spot. It's even better when the old guy makes it--he's the one who rolls it the thinnest. A real artist with the dough. One thing to note, though: the price has gone up again recently. A regular pie is now $28. It's a steep price, but if you've never been here and want to try one of the best pizzas in New York, definitely check out Amore.

A must whenever returning to NY. This small shop is constantly packed, service is quick and friendly. Plenty of options other than pizza, but our go to has always been the pepperoni pie. The portion was generous and the crust had the perfect crunch. Must try when you are in the area

I been going here for over 20 years. This places always ensures your pizza craving is met. Asked for extra well to give it the extra crunch. One of my all time favorites spots in NY. Cash only never forget!

We decided to est out tonight, i kind if k ew that there is not a lot of tables at Amore pizza. So i was ready to just do take out and eat at home with the family. We got there at 5:30pm, place was packed on a friday evening, so we end up ordering a large pie to go with sausage. Aside from the pizzeria being busy, hot and no seating. We walked outside and waited for our pie. We waited 20 minutes and the pie was ready, the smell OMG we were starving. When we got home, the pie was still hot and the cheese and the sauce wow really perfectly covering every piece of the pizza dough. I opened a bottle of red and next thing you know the ouzza was gone, bo survivors no leftovers. Gotta do it again, next time, we get 2

Best pizza of my life perhaps. Came all the way to New York to try Amore Pizzeria, "The Queen of Queens" and it was well worth it. Grandma slice during the wait, whole pie to go. Check it out!

This is the OG New York style pizza! If you're looking for that thin crust, perfectly crispy ,super cheesy, amazing cheese to sauce balance, you have to go to Flushing! This little strip mall has some super magic that takes place in it. They named the place perfectly "Amore" which means love and we love it! Service is fantastic and the pizza is always fresh! And they have parking!!

What's not to like about Amore the pizza is thin and delicious. The service is fast and efficient and the staff is always very friendly. The place has old school 80s pizza vibes not much has changed ambiance wise.

Stopped by to eat some pizza. We ordered a regular cheese pie. Clearly it was good and we were very hungry because I took a photo after we each had a slice. They make fast, hot, thin tasty pizzas here!

Placeis definitely not a stay in one BUT, GREAT PIZZA, toasty and delicious, when is warm you need to devoured it cause it tastes amazing! Is a hidden gem in the middle of the whitestone highway and I recommend grabbing one at any time of the day! Sadly when we were there it was too late to grab a sicilian piece but we did grab a cheese one and a pepperoni one!

Pizza's flavoring and generous amount of cheese was great. But crust was crunchy, toasted, and burnt. The chicken parm's hero bread was also super crunchy and toasted; flavoring was mediocre. This place deserves a 2/5 rating mainly due to the bad service. First off, cleanliness - they handled money, then touched the pepperoni toppings to put into the oven with the same hand (without washing or gloves). Second, very very disorganized! It was busy dinner time and they had one poor old man making everyone's pizza. The boss guy along with another guy were just stocking aimlessly even though their supplies were full, young man doesn't know which order he's giving out to. This lack of teamwork delayed everyone's orders. We had to wait for our 2 slices for at least 30mins. There are better pizza places out in queens and long island than this one

Delicious classic NY pizza and red sauce. I prefer a more savory sauce which is what Amore has. Some places have sauce that are too sweet. Can't go wrong with ordering a pie to share and taking home the leftovers! Still yummy after reheating in the toaster oven or on the pan. Plenty of parking (watch the pot holes). Great pit stop in Queens on the way to or from la guardia airport.

It's clearly a classic, long-standing place: there were many older guests, probably regulars for years, and also a good number of younger people too. Free bread basket built like a full-body gym workout. Service was top-notch -- drinks never empty, not once. Started with fried calamari and their house sauce... dangerous. Baked clams so good we used every carb on the table as a sponge. No crumbs left behind. Then the heavy hitters: veal parm + chicken parm combo like a tag team match. The chicken parm came out looking like a beautiful landslide of sauce and cheese -- couldn't even see the chicken and I wasn't mad about it. Also smashed the chicken fettuccine Alfredo: rich cream, butter, parmigiana, imported mascarpone... pure respect. Closed it out with chocolate mousse, then they hit us with free biscotti like a victory lap. Park Side isn't a meal -- it's a commitment. Queens stays undefeated.

The staff here are amazing and literally help keep criminals off the street and are devoted to their community. Ironically, I didn't get to try the pizza. Just means, I have to come back some day. But I hear the Sicilian is amazing. This place makes way more than just pizza and has house made fresh pasta and more unique dishes that you would never expect in a pizza parlor like ribeye steak. We ended up splitting and sharing entrees: Agnolotti (Kind of ravioli shaped and stuffed with ricotta and spinach in a pesto sauce), Fettuccine Bolognese, Penne in a tomato sauce (not sure if it was vodka or arrabiata), chicken with crabmeat, and the ribeye steak. My favorite easily and very oddly was the chicken slathered in a mustard sauce with crabmeat. This was the most juicy and tantalizingly delicious chicken I've had in a minute. I would also never have ordered this in a million years. So I'm glad someone else thought to include this. The pastas were very good even though I only tried a tiny bit but I'd definitely order the agnolotti. The steak was cooked surprisingly to perfection. The prices are also incredibly reasonable. This entire meal did not break the bank. I think their slices also go for only $3 and a specialty slice is $4.50. Very old school family oriented and classic.

Busy, active and definitely for the community given the notes, decorations. I always wanted to stop by here for a slice after watching the owner and father's heroic effort protecting an Asian lady who was being robbed in front of their store. Slice was solid at $3. OK looking undercarriage but limited floop. Only knock is bottom had too much flour remaining. Solid neighborhood spot. People were getting pasta dishes too. Ample seating. Friendly staff.

I can understand the hesitation, at least for my part, because I have hype-filled memories of a similar place that served these types of pizzas in Astoria (Pizza X is now closed) - I wasn't a fan. I am a fan of Five Dreams though and even more so after reading a write up about how this is a family run spot. For me, it is the dough that forms a great base for the unique combos. I love how light and airy the pie is - there were layers within the crust. The mole chicken had a generous amount of chicken smothered in a delicious mole sauce - spicy peanuts are add for even more texture. The carnitas had a good spice to it - not sure if it was the diced habaneros or the chunky green salsa this came with. In any case I enjoyed this as well. The pies are reasonably priced and if I didn't order through GrubHub I would have did halfsies like my good friend Roger. Speaking of my buddy, I want to give him a shoutout for being a reliable alarm clock waking us sleepy Yelpers and opening our eyes to places worth checking out.

Particularly considering their cooking on a gozney oven stuffed into a food cart. It's actually a gas fired oven so it's more wood oven style. But that matters little for the taste. I went with a pepperoni and asked to add hongos to which the pizzaolo obliged my request. About 5 minutes later I was handed a piping hot pie and charged $14. But it was only after my first bite when I knew what a steal this is. The crust was nicely charred but also a delicate chew. The sauce is fresh, tangy with a great tomato flavor. The cheese must have had done parm sprinkled on because it was way for flavorful than mozz alone. And toppings tasted fresh and were plentiful. Impressive for sure. The block where the cart sits is super quiet with only a laundromat and another street vendor selling some leche de arroz. I'll have to wash my next pue down with sone of that next time. Nowhere to sit so it's more of a Togo or delivery setup. I'll def be ordering from here again in the future. I can't help think how much hype this cart would have in a more active and affluent area.
