We went here after taking the kids to the NY hall of science on a rainy afternoon. This popped up as the closer pizzeria with Good reviews. I haven't had a slice in queens in forever but the kids were hungry and it was only 4 min away. They have an amazing special where you get a large pie, 10 wings and a 2 litter soda for what comes out to $25 after tax The pizza came out fast and hot it was so good! The wings were typical wings but the only complaint is the place is in dire need of an update but the staff were friendly and quick. We will be back if in the area. The lemon ice kings is across the st but the kids were so full. We will be back for that in the spring

We were in NYC for a work conference and needed a quick lunch. We stumbled upon this place and I was so excited... NY style pizza! Being from Alabama, sadly, I've only ever had the usual pizza chains (Pizza Hut, Domino's, Papa John's, and of course... classic gas station pizza, Hunt Brothers). The employees were hard at work, moving quickly. The display case was already full of freshly made pizzas that were beautiful, IMO. I was with 4 other ladies and we all chose 2 slices each from the display case. The employee put them together and reheated them in the brick oven. (Insert incredulous redneck accent in my head, "man, Pizza Hut ain't got brick ovens like 'at down in Alabama!" ) Don't worry, I played it mostly cool on the outside. I chose a slice of Chicken Buffalo and (I think) a pepperoni/chicken/bacon? All I know is that they were both wonderful, especially the Buffalo. I loved how they didn't have much sauce and the crust was chewy, not-too-thick, not-too-thin. I was also thrilled they had Coke Zero, my favorite drink. Overall, service was fast, food was delicious and convenient. Maybe it's not the most epic NY style pizza to locals, but to this Alabama girl, it was fantastic and I'm still raving about it to everyone.

The pizza here was standard, it was nothing too special and tasted like a NY slice. I ordered 2 drinks 2 pepperoni slices and 1 Sicilian slice which came up to $13.50. Seating area was what you will expect in a pIzza place and the litigar was not boring but not dark. I'll go back again if I'm in the area, but it's not place that I'll go out of my way to get to.

Not bad; def have had better but this is a spot if you want affordable NY style slices. I will say that the crust was not crispy/crunchy and is a bit thicker than many other nyc pizza spots. The dough is a little chewier but not undercooked; the slice itself is quite cheese dominant, and then you get the toppings, and then a little bit of the tomato sauce. While it's not the best most mind-blowing pizza, it's a good place for a quick fix and a good place to order a bunch from. We got 15 pies for a big kids party and obviously it was a hit and they were right on time, pizzas were still hot, and survived the transport process. They made our celebration a successful one so thank you guys! Maybe if i'm in the area next time i'll try some of their other flavors/slices to get a feel for the rest of their offerings. But they're a good local addition to the area.

The crust was very good on this pizza. Soft, chewy and crunchy. The sauce was sweet and tangy. The cheese on the pizza was very chewy and salty, probably imitation cheese. It took away from the pizza. Mera's Tip: enjoy the crust

Happened to be in the neighborhood and needed a quick bite. Who doesn't like a good slice of pizza? Place is simple with some tables and chairs. We opted for a slice of cheese pizza and the pineapple pizza. Oh mine, either we were hungry or the pizza was simply amazing! Large slice and the crust was crunchy. We were surprised how good they were. If you ever crave for a good slice of pizza, this place would not disappoint. Staff was friendly and service was quick. PS: no restrooms inside the store.

    a slice of cheese pizza

First time ever writing a Yelp review but my experience was so bad I need to make sure others know about this.. This place is horrible. I ordered 3 buffalo chicken slices on Slice. I open the box and see 3 of the most horrible slices of pizza I have ever seen. The smell was just awful and the appearance was even worse. I take one little nibble just to see what it tasted like and it tasted as horrible as I imagined it would. The pizza was 90% buffalo sauce, 5% disgusting chicken, 5% pizza. I immediately asked Slice for a full refund. They contacted this establishment and this place said they need to send someone over to inspect the pizza (???? never heard of this in my life). The dude arrives, looks at the pizza and tells me it's fine and they will not give me a refund. Tell me, world. Do you think this pizza looks good?

Really good neighborhood pizza shop. When places all over the country advertise themselves as "New York pizza," this is what they're trying to be. Was tipped off by a friend who used to deliver the mail in the neighborhood. Great stop for a lunch slice (or 2) while visiting the park (1 block away), or before a Met game (1 stop up on the 7 train, 111th st). You can't go wrong with a slice here

Typical Mozarella stick that normal people eat

This place is great but wow the Mozarella sticks are so bad it's laughable like I was craving some all day and for some reason I thought every place did them the same, but nope this place takes the cake for the worst moz sticks I've ever had. OH well good food just DO NOT GET THE MOZARELLA STICKS

As I was in this section of Queens for a work gig, when lunch rolled around my colleague didn't…read morereally know where to go so we quested up the thoroughfare to decide on our options. The area itself is primarily Spanish and I couldn't determine if I had even been here before despite my being a New Yorker for almost all of my life. Soon enough the wander led us to the "Taste Of Italy" pizzeria that was located right near the Junction Boulevard stop on the "7" train. Though they had a decently sized menu with a number of proper offerings I opted for a slice of cheese pizza and another with pepperoni. A can of Sprite would help me to wash it down. I found the slices to be very tasty, filling and comparable to what I usually get in my own Brooklyn neighborhood and that made me happy because there are few things worse than terrible pizza. My colleague had a lesser experience with a chicken sandwich that she felt was on the greasy side but when she brought this up they gave her a couple of slices of pizza. I should have tasted it myself to confirm that said colleague had a legit complaint as opposed to just being fussy because that happens sometimes. Either way she was covered and it was nice that the place didn't give her a hard time. I found the staff there to be friendly which is always nice and yes there was a language barrier for me since I only speak English but honestly I feel that 90% of their clientele speaks Spanish and I am in the minority. This didn't get in the way of my ordering what I wanted and liked. In the rear of the business is a spacious dining area with about eight tables that each fit four patrons. It was warm, and that was welcome since the work we were doing was outside and it was quite cold that day. I didn't detect an open Wi-Fi but they did have a television running in the back playing Spanish language programming. I thanked everyone with a smile and the three Spanish words I actually know and off I went back to the gig. While I did enjoy myself I can't see myself returning since this was a one day assignment and I don't see myself in this region for anything any time soon. I did want to make sure that a Yelp was done since it was a good experience for me. If you should be shopping around this area, you've got a good place to eat and rest your bones.

Chorizo for appetizer great tasting but u may not need it they start u off w some warm bread & cheese, salami app very good depending on how hungry u are I'd say u can skip the appetizer. Main dishes Milanesa à la napolitana this was good, way too many onions but good comes with rice & beans. I had the Pechuga de pollo la provenzal, yumm this was delicious the sauce is so tasty, I got it w tostones great since dipping into the sauce. Next time, Ice tea & Sprite for drinks not bad, no apps since they start u off w that bread. I had the Meat special #4 , This comes with 2 pieces of steak & chorizo , got it w tostones the meat was very flavorful, cooked just right , comes w a chimichurri sauce so good. We also had the Pollo Provenzal again, man that sauce is amazing got it w fried yuca, it was very good. This place is a one stop shop, butcher style Meats for sale, some Argentinian desserts, candy & merchandise they seem to have a little bit of everything. Good size location, decent decor & service. Prices are seasonable since they do give u a good portion size. Good neighborhood spot, this place was a good find & chances are we will continue to visit from time to time.

After more than 25 years of being customers and spending hundreds of dollars per visit, we were…read moreessentially told we had stayed too long after finishing our meal. That was enough for us to decide we will not be returning. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 25 years. The food has generally been good, which is why my family continued returning and recommending it to others. Our history with the restaurant has not been without issues. Years ago, we stopped coming after a Mother's Day incident involving my grandmother. We had been seated in the upstairs dining room (when it was still open), only to later be told by the owner that we did not have a reservation and that we had to leave. After several years, we decided to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and eventually started coming back again. Unfortunately, today confirmed that the earlier incident was not simply bad luck. I was dining with my parents. We ordered two steaks, two appetizers, three sides, a bottle of wine and later a second bottle (of which we only drank half), along with four after-dinner drinks, cappuccino, and dessert. It was clearly a very busy day, and service was slower than usual. Because of the restaurant's pace, our meal ended up lasting a little over three hours. We were patient the entire time and never complained. After we finished eating and were simply finishing our drinks, the owner, Marcelo, approached our table and remarked that we had been there for three hours and were now only drinking alcohol, indirectly suggesting that his establishment was not a bar but a place for dining. Considering that we had just spent several hundred dollars and have been customers for decades, the comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. We immediately asked for the check and left. For context, I am a physician and understand the pressures of demanding work environments. However, professionalism and respect toward customers should always come first. Over the years, my family has typically spent between $300 and $500 per visit here. Unfortunately, after this experience, this will be the last time we come. There are many excellent Argentinian and Uruguayan steakhouses where customers are treated with appreciation and respect, and that is where we will be going moving forward.
