You walk in and it's your typical "old-school" pizza joint that probably hasn't been renovated in 15+ years, aside from the neon sign. But you don't go to a pizza place for the ambiance, do you? Made in the "Queens style" of baking on a grate, their pies are just what you'd expect. The sauce is solid, they don't skimp on the cheese, and the crust has that nice chew. My only critique is that I wish the crust were a little thinner. Another plus: it's still under $20 for a regular pie. And if you collect 15 coupons from their boxes, you can get a free pie. read more

60 years young older than the Mets-Old school cool pizza dive! "Mini" pizzas the perfect size! NATASHA is outstanding: friendly and has excellent customer service skills! This is the kinda joint that a mother stops in asking thebguys who worke there have the y seen her son because she knows he hangs out there with his friends, when he is not home yet. They say they saw him earlier. Later, she calls to tell them he came home. Love this place. They have loyalty punch cards, and a Tuesday Night pasta deal that is inflation and recession proof. My kid loves this place and it's easy to overlook. When you walk in it's dark and to honest, dusty. No one has dusted off the faux plants in an eon or two. You don't come here for ambiance. BUT the pizza really is good and better yet consistently good. We now order regularly from this spot and staff have always been friendly. Want good pizza? They deliver. read more

One of the neighborhood business I love to support, I often come and order their midget pies, freshly made and it's only $9.99, price also depending on what you like as the toppings, my favorite pie is the chicken broccoli. Once in while I like to order their chicken franchise which comes with a side of spaghetti or salad. Overall I've been ordering from this spot for some time, and their foods has been very consistent. One of the greats. With legacy to boast. I've been dining at Pizza Garden for as long as I can remember and it's always been so very delicious. They get the crust and thinness right every time. But never do the toppings slip and slide off. They have all the classics: Sicilian, grandma, upside down, white slice, BBQ, etc. They can of course make a custom pie for you as well. I love their midget pies, it's the perfect size for 1. I've experienced many times where I can a little acidity when I have red sauce but never from PG. They have other food options on the menu and they're all great. Gnocchi, spaghetti, calamari, chicken parm, etc. Definitely one of the greatest pizza spots in NY. read more

Solid local pizza joint. I ordered a pie and some mozzarella sticks via the Slice app and my order was ready at the time it was promised. Since they're not far from home, the pie and mozzarella sticks were at optimal temperature when I got back home and I wasted no time going to town. Since it was just 2 of us this evening, I ordered just 1 pie - 1/2 pepperoni and the other 1/2 with green peppers & onions. Both sides were delicious and they didn't skimp on any of the toppings. None of it was very greasy at all though you always have to expect at least a little when you order pepperoni. The mozzarella sticks were crispy and came with a complimentary side of marinara sauce. We got 6 sticks in our order and the sauce was enough for those. When I walked in to pick up my order, the nice gal behind the counter promptly greeted me and got my order very quickly. She sent me off with a thank you and a pleasant goodbye. There is a shared parking lot you can use but the lot is not very deep and it's not the easiest to park in it. I parked on the street out front but you may need to park on the side street or on Northern Blvd itself. There is no shortage of pizzerias in this area - and some good ones - but Pizza Garden is certainly one I will add to the rotation. read more

One of the worst pizza i had , and I was born in New York , Proud Pizza Lover. The pizza texture of the meat + veggie pie was soggy/cold and tasted like cafeteria food that I used to eat in middle school. Garlic knots were dripping wet and too oily gross.. I recommend going to any other pizza spot in Queens, there are so many delicious pizza everywhere in NY. Pizza is one of the best things about New York. I do find the name a little bit unusual in the sense that anything with the word garden is usually synonymous with salads or Chinese food. I'm sure a slice of chicken chow mein or beef and broccoli wouldn't sell too well, but I kid!! In all seriousness the pizza is really good. The crust borders between thick and thin, in other words it's in the middle and it's crunchy, airy and delicious. The amount of cheese is perfect and my only chief complaint would be for a little more sauce. I felt the slice would have been perfect with a tad more sauce. Just a note, the sauce leans more towards the salty and savory than sweet. A great pizza and comparatively less expensive than the other competitors around the area. So enjoy your pizza in an Octopus's garden, home garden or any garden. You won't be disappointed. read more

Pizza garden has been around since I was a kid and has always been pretty consistently solid. Ordered a half plain, half bbq chicken pie from here for take out the other day to satisfy my pizza cravings and it did the job! Their crust was crispy and there was a good pizza to sauce ratio. Although bbq chicken is my go-to special slice, I do think I enjoyed their plain cheese more. Tip: they do have a parking lot but it is quite small and kinda hard to get into and out if it's packed. read more

I'll start by saying I hope the owners read this : Depending on the day you call, if the manager answers the phone, they 'dont' make broccoli rolls, spinach rolls or chicken rolls w/ either the above. Case in point, I called yesterday, MONDAY, & much to my dismay, I was told (rather rudely, I will add), they DONT MAKE ...( the aforementioned). When I told the man who answered the phone : YES, U DO make spinach/ broccoli and/or chicken rolls w/ this, he barked out a question to someone else, who replied w/ "YES, WE CAN", he came back & told me :they don't make it. HE doesn't make it" - apparently, this individual doesn't make it, but depending on the day you call, SOMEONE ELSE WILL make it. That's a shame when there are so many other local pizza places that would gladly accommodate. I'll add that I started out the order by ordering a Sicilian Pie, ...I wasn't only ordering a broccoli/ spinach roll. My last order last week was $55. The food IS GREAT, the service & delivery personnel are wonderful & food arrives quickly, unless you call on a day SAID INDIVIDUAL answers the phone.... I canceled my order & made another call to another place that DOES make broccoli rolls & I gave my complete order to a place that gladly accommodated my request. This is a no-frills old school pizza shop with solid pies and good service. Like all pizza, it's best to eat it fresh out of the oven. We had the grandma slice and regular cheese slice and both were delicious. Good sauce to cheese ratio and nice crunch on the crust. They don't rush it out of the oven when they reheat it for you like other places. Will be back when I'm craving for classic pizza! read more

Came here to get pizza while self quarantining on a Monday afternoon. Inside is really clean and reminiscent of an old school pizzeria. If I wasn't afraid of this stupid virus I would have loved sitting inside and eating in but instead I took my pizzas to go. Since we were planning to be inside we ordered 2 large pies. One regular cheese pie which was the best cheese pizza I've had in Queens and then a half penne a la vodka and half meat lovers. The penne was okay. I've never had this type of pizza before so I have nothing to compare it to. I think I just am not a fan of pasta on pizza. I love both separately but not together. The other half was the meat lovers and though I don't eat meat my husband loved this pizza. He said the chicken cutlet was fresh and flavorful and definitely the best chicken cutlet he's ever had on a pizza. This is now our new pizza place and I've already told the kids, who eat pizza at least twice a week, to start ordering from here. My wife's family were regulars here for years and I finally got to try it last year. The pizza is unbelievably good and the shaved sausage on top was mouthwatering. Usually toppings on pizza should be cooked with the pizza. I actually reheated this in my oven but the flavor was lacking. I wasn't satisfied. A few years ago, my 5yo son and I decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood, when we happened upon Pizza Garden. I had already driven by it countless times but never bothered to stop by because i already had a go-to pizza spot. Well, at the age of 5yo, my son had already deemed himself a pizza aficionado and insisted we had to try every pizza place that we stumbled upon. My son is now 9 yo...Pizza Garden has been out go-to pizza place since we set foot in there. My son loves to get the pizza kits (what a great idea by the way) and we are even able to make mini pizza's at home and my husband and I are huge fans of their Grandma Style Pie...fresh and delicious each time!
