They all seem to handle cash and coins and goes back to making the pizza and grabbing toppings. I am usually order for pickup and pizzas ok nothing special but decent. I ordered online and even though I told them they can park in parking lot they refused to fulfill order because they didn't want to come upstairs. I did get refund which I appreciate, but what's the point of delivery if they can't deliver to your door? Might as well pick up. I've always seen this place around but never got to trying it until today, when my coworker wanted to order from here. I have to say that I was impressed with the quality and taste of the pizza. We ordered a large vegetable pie and chicken wings. It was delivered to us without too long of a wait (our location is on 164th St Northern Blvd) and the food was nice and hot by the time we ate it. I wouldn't say the food was exceptionally different or amazing as compared to other pizza places, but it was definitely good and I would order from here again when I crave pizza around the area! :) read more

Great place! The place had nice calzones; I got the sausage one. The food was ready within minutes. The wings with buffalo sauce were good with ranch sauce. The staff was kind and excellent. Pizza Garden is such a great reliable neighborhood pizzeria. Whenever I'm craving a good old slice or chicken roll I know they will deliver. I've yet to be disappointed. As a lifelong neighborhood person, I've been going to pizza garden for years. It started to fall off a few years ago. But, today was the last time myself, my family or friends will ever go there. Whoever is the pizza maker these days, needs to go to some sort of class or something. Easily the worst pizza I've had in the flushing/bayside area by far. I would rather go to a Pizza Hut or dominoes for a better pizza. Now, let's get into the counter staff. There were 2 guys in front of me ordering 2 slices each. They wouldn't even talk to me until the order of 4 slices was complete. Then, unfortunately for me, came my turn. Order 4 slices and 2 small sodas. 15 and change. A pie (according to their menu) is 15.20. So, I don't get their math here. Then the counter guys were SO rude and I watched them be rude to an older couple in there as well. To Richie and his dad's vision and legacy .... I'm glad I got to go there while it was once a decent place to eat. Never again. This is literally the first pizza I ever ate. I hadn't had it since 1985. I remembered loving it at age 7, but I wondered if it was really all that good or if I just loved it because I was a little kid and didn't know better. Finally had a slice there in June 2009. The slice was fantastic. They also have specialty slices such as Sicilian and Buffalo Chicken that I did not try. But based on that one awesome plain slice, this place clearly knows what it is doing. On the inside the place is classic. Much as the storefront looks exactly the same as it did in 1985, the place is old-school-old school. For that charm alone it is worth the trip if you are in the area. I hope and pray they never renovate it. I look forward to taking another trip there in summer 2010 and trying more of their selection. read more

I don't know why it took me this long to try this pizzeria out. I have always passed it but never made the move to try it until recently. I didn't know this pizzeria was around since 1960. I really enjoyed the regular slice and garlic knots. It was the perfect ratio of cheese and sauce. The crust was also the perfect amount of crunch. Walked into this place and felt like I had gone back in time to the pizzerias of my youth. Everything, from the tables to the little brown placards describing what each pizza is, looked like the places my grandfather brought us to grab a bite to eat... except for the flat screen HD TV in the corner that blared Bar Rescue (which boyfriend and I happily sat next to so we could get our Jon Taffer on with the meal). Speaking of the meal, the pizza was delicious. We had a regular slice, a penne slice, and a broccoli-ricotta-chicken white slice. I really loved the latter. The broccoli was fresh and crisp, not frozen and mushy, and the chicken and cheese were moist and flavorful. Usually slices like that have underwhelming veggies and dried out meat surrounded by lackluster, waxy cheese. Not so here! The regular slice and penne slice were also great. The pizza sauce had a little more oompf than most pizza places, and I liked that. If we're in the area, we'd definitely stop by again. read more

They might be racist. My mom visited town for a short while and she was craving pasta and this was the only Italian restaurant we could find in the flushing area. We decided to dine-in as there were only a few people around, but the waiters did not help us until about 10 minutes later while we were ready in the first minute. As we were waiting around I noticed we were the only asians in the whole room and other non-asian customers who walked in after us were getting served first. It felt as if we were left in the dark. I only come here for the pizza really. Some of the workers are just plain rude. While there are a few exceptions, most of them don't mind their own business. Because I'm a young lady, some of the male workers just like to make comments about me. Other than that, the pizza is good especially the cheese.
