Since then I had not been in NYC, but I am now visiting. Just last night, on a rainy sunday evening, I walked in and ordered a sicillian, pepperoni, and a macaroni slice. All three had been sitting at the shop for an hour or more. But they were still delicious. The crust on the siciilian reminded me of detroit style square pies. Crisp and doughy, yet crunchy on the outside without taxing your teeth. Both of the slices were great too. Lets compare to a famous nyc landmarlks, being Lombardi's and Prince's, both in soho. This place has better pizza than both famous lamdmarks. Now if you want sweetened tomato sauce, goto Prince. If you want a classic 12 in pie with home made sauce, go to Lombardi's. Liked their regular pizza slices but they have the worst Sicilian slice ever. It's so dry with close to no sauce that it's no difference from a slice of plain foccacia bread. Their carbonara pasta tasted good but the cream is TOO much. It's so thick to the point where it's unbearable. Decent wings and beef patty was good. read more

I add "NY" because that is a standard of quality which this places reaches, however it doesn't take you much further than that. That isn't necessarily a bad thing if you're near by and looking for a reliable slice. I do appreciate their presence in the community since there was a lack of quality pizza within walking distance. I found some of their specialty slices on the lighter side for lunch so order a regular slice too. They have hero or pasta lunch specials and offer a free drink with any two slices. The thing that has me coming back often is their weekly $10 large pie specials which have been clutch for football Sunday. read more
