One of NYC's famous features is dollar pizza. It is not delicious and it's not filling open parentheses super thin crust tiny bit of cheese almost no sauce) but hey, it's a dollar. You get what you pay for. The problem with this place is they sell dollar pizza for $3.75. I've lived in New York all my life (which is a very long time). In addition to dollar pizza, we also have places that have the best pizza in the country. I've had the best ones and I've had the worst ones. I have no idea what people are talking about in these five star reviews. I've had pizza at this place three times and always reminded why many years go by between visits. read more

I have loved Romeo's for years! Whenever I come to visit family, I stop by for a slice. It never disappoints. The crust is the perfect amount of crunch. The pizza has the perfect amount of cheese. I like to eat it immediately! So good. They have so many varieties of pizza but I love a simple cheese slice. read more

I will say service is top notch and ambiance is regular pizzeria decor. I really enjoy the flavor of the cheese slice so much so that I don't add any toppings or seasonings. Garlic knots always hot and tasty. The chicken Caesar slice in my daughter's words "Now that's how you get a person to eat salad" lol. I'll continue to return. read more

This place gets great reviews and has been around for awhile. As far as slice joints go, this one is too notch. I really like how they are trying to incorporate more variety but still do a good job with classic regular slices and Sicilians. They are cash only! read more

Nice guy behind the counter and the slice was delicious but $4:50 for the thinnest grandma slice I've ever seen is just a little ridiculous. It's just way too much for the product you're getting - finished it in under one minute. Rosa's pizza in Maspeth still takes the top spot for taste: value ratio IMO ! read more

I drove to Queens for a Friendsgiving last night and picked up 4 large pies from Romeo's. I called the order in 20 minutes before arriving and they were ready when I arrived.. how neat is that!? I got two regular cheese pies, a sicilian and a spinach. They were all delicious but my favorite was the spinach... each slice was perfectly covered from head to toe in an ample amount of spinach, making for the perfect bite each time. Thanks Romeo's for coming in clutch as I had no idea what I was going to bring to this Friendsgiving! read more

Their pizza is one of the kind, my wife also make sure their pizza is crispy each time she order, excellent pizza for many years. Owners are nice and friendly, Must try. read more

Order a large pie and a snapple. Cost me $27. The menu said $18 for large pie. Other reviewers also said $18. So, I was a bit taken back. The guy said $18 for take out, $24 for dine in. I guess that extra $6 is priced in for tip. Pizza is ok; crispy, and thin. My kids can eat more than 2 slices. read more

I've been coming here for many years. This review is long overdue! Best Chicken Parmigiana hero I've ever had in my life. The bread they use, the fried chicken, the sauce, the cheese... totally amazing. The Chicken Caesar pizza is another favorite of mine here! read more

Friendly service. Good solid old school pizza available as slices or pies. Very consistent quality.

Located on Union & 188 Romeo's is a neighborhood staple. I've been coming here for years now & it's always consistently delicious. Staff is friendly. I get their regular cheese. The sauce & cheese blend is amazing. The peppers & onion is one of my favorites. Definitely try them out. Plenty of dine-in space available. read more

Great pizza! We had a party for my son at a place nearby and they catered pizza pues from Romeo's. Awesome!

Was in the area for a doctors appointment and stopped into Romeo's Pizza. Hubby ordered a regular slice and a vegetable slice. I had a grandma slice or margarita slice (not sure which it was). It was delicious though. Hubby enjoyed his two slices as well. Staff is very friendly. There is a sit down area towards the back. Sign behind counter states "cash only". read more

The sauce is a sweet tasting sauce. It makes the pizza have a pleasant taste. The large slices are big! Two was enough for me. About $17-$18 for a large pie. read more

Came here super excited because I pass by here almost every day and smelt such a great scent of pizza here. There is no parking lot but there is parking on the street. They indeed do deliver. There is a little bit of seating but nothing crazy here. They have limited amount of slices and drinks. Nothing too intense. But great place to stop and grab a slice! I had a penne slice and a buffalo chicken slice. They were okay but not crazy amazing. Everything looked fresh and the place was very clean. Will totally be going back for some other slices! Great service here and great prices! read more

Excellent service...food fresh and warm. Very reponsive to customer needs. Would definitely return

The best chicken Cesar pizza. They have plenty of delicious stuff. Garlic knits are so good too you won't be disappointed

Good pizza , will eat there again...only downside cash only. Luckily I had enough for two slices.

It's a local neighborhood pizza shop, family owned and operated. There's nothing about their setup and decor that sets them apart from other pizzerias until you taste the love coming out of their oven. Their pizzas are delicious and the grandma pizza is by far my favorite. You can call ahead to place an order for pickup but delivery service is pending the hiring a driver. I think their prices are high on the scale but life is short and who has time for so-so pizza. It's pricey but these days, so is everything else. I wish they accepted alternatives to cash payment and offered paper plates when pies are ordered but those minor inconveniences won't deter me from ordering every couple of weeks. I recommend checking this place out and judging for yourself. read more

Romeo's always been a short walk away. They used to have one of the best chicken tomato and chicken Caesar salad pizza salad. The flavor is still great, but the pizza has gotten very thin and the prices has gone up. Last time i was there i gotta a 1/2 chicken and broccoli pizza and 1/2 chicken tomato pizza and a order of garlic knots and chicken wings. The wings were fried well but i think i paid well over 40 dollars. I still enjoy the flavor but wished the pizza held-up a little better. read more

NO ONE DOES IT BETTER!!! Romeo's chicken francese is the best in fresh meadows. NO ONE COMES CLOSE. Not even the Italian restaurants nearby. Their chicken Marsala is also on point. Not to mention their pizza. Especially the marinara. Top notch. REAL ITALIAN COOKING. read more

My report is limited, and based on a really basic take-out order of two plain slices, which is what I order the first time I visit a new pizzeria. They were pretty fresh from the oven and I could find no fault with them. I was really thrilled with them, actually! For me, this is what a New York pizza is supposed to be. Great flavor, the right balance of dough, sauce and cheese, cooked exactly the right amount of time, and ideal for folding and eating with one hand while neither flopping down nor being hard like a board. I believe it was the owner with whom I interacted when I made my order and he seemed almost indignant when I queried him as to whether the pizza was made recently - well it was, so why would I have any reason to think they're selling warmed-over pizza, right? They have every reason to be proud of their goods at Romeo's. I can't wait to go back and try a couple of slices with some toppings and maybe a baked ziti or something! I visited back in January so this review is a little overdue. I wanted to be able to easily reference the location to make it easier to find when returning to NY and having a review on my Yelp will accomplish that. Go to Romeo's and enjoy yourself. New York the way it used to be (and in some places at least, still is!). read more

Romeo's Pizza - Two perfect slices of New York-style cheese pizza. - Pizza Near Me - New York, New York

This store wasn't as good as Brother's pizza by Horace Harding. It's more expensive and for some reason pizza bread wasn't as soft as theirs. We ordered a sausage and pepperoni with extra sauce on a pie, but apparently there wasn't enough sauce that made this pizza so dry and I have to finish a bottle of water with it. Not really the best to go place, but if you are starving, then no doubt just go for it. read more

Stopped for a quick lunch with the boo and we ordered chicken caesar slice, pepperoni slice and a fresh chicken roll. The decor in here is a cross between Roman-esque ceilings and wallpaper with classic NYC style pizza tables. Everything was fresh, delicious and hot. The slices had a great thin crust that was crispy but slightly chewy in the center. All in all, each selection had a great balance of flavors. We will definitely be coming back here again soon! read more

Who would have thought Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza would be so good. It was there and I just said I have to try that tonight. They warmed it up a bit and what a great change from the standby pepperoni pizza. G had the white pizza and I did taste it and it was good also. The crust is thin on both of these pizzas and not burnt but yet still crispy. G also ordered this sausage and peppers thing in garlic wrapped dough. I did not try that but it looked very good and he said it was good. I trust his word. Now we regularly order from another Pizza place not too far away, but amazingly Romeo's also delivers to our home area, so this might be another order from place. The garlic knots in the display area looked really tasty, but I was a bit tired after working all day and the Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza slice was just enough. There is seating in the back on of the store or you can just get your slice to go. The guys behind the counter are very personable. I would definitely stop here again for a slice or a pie for a party. The only down side is the horrific parking situation on this street. No off street parking and a few spots down the neighborhood block. Parking during the day is feed the meter. read more

4 words... Chicken.Caesar.Salad.Pizza!!! Other then that, this is your typical no frills local pizzeria joint. But I was surprised on how much I actually like the Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza. Old style pizzeria which accept cash only. Love their regular pizza pies. Decent prices

Another quality pizzeria in the area. Located on the always busy Union Tpk and just off of 188th St, this pizzeria has a clean, modern interior. While it's not large inside there is enough seating for I'd estimate around 20-25 people. I ordered 2 plain slices, and while they weren't huge, they were tasty. The crusty was thin without being flimsy and was perfectly crispy. The cheese slightly dominated the sauce but the flavor was still on point. Two slices and fountain soda set me back just $7.00. Not exactly cheap - especially given the size of the slices - but I didn't mind because I enjoyed the food and liked the environment. It doesn't have the "charm" of an on older, throwback Italian pizzeria but the product was good and that's what mattered most to me. read more

Solid local spot. Seems that the crust seems to be thinner than pervious pies but still great taste. I love their greek salad w grilled chicken, always pleased and consistent.
