After having this in my list for like EVER! I was in the area & decided to stop by, regardless of the low reviews I saw on here. When arriving the ambiance felt ok, the staff could've been a bit more welcoming but I had no issues on my visit. I decided to go with something simple on the menu like the Honey Bee on a hero just as is. It had chicken cutlet, bacon, pepper jack cheese, & honey mustard. I thought this option was straight, nothing crazy. The chicken cutlets tasted really good & I love honey mustard, definitely felt like there was no bacon. If you didn't know, they have another counter inside that serves bubble teas, & other drink options. I went with a flavor I haven't tried before; a blueberry milk tea with blueberry popping boba & it was really good! If I'm ever in the area again I would stop by to give them another shot. I wish I could give this establishment an overall 3.5 rating on here but I can't.
Food: The Hank (Platter) - Very Filling. Wishing for more gravy throughout the meal. I also wished the items were more intertwined instead of just sitting on top of each other. Heart Attack on a Roll - Fantastic Sauce. There is a reason why this item is one of the most popular items on the menu. The grease will give you heartburn later in the day but it was good while having it. On to my next food adventure...
The Heart Attack never fails. While the chicken can occasionally be a bit dry, it's usually solid and flavorful. HIGHLY recommend getting it on a hero (forgot to ask today) to help hold all the sauce and ingredients together and adding avocado. It adds moisture and makes the sandwich creamier, especially if the chicken isn't super juicy that day. Also call ahead for pick up as wait times can get pretty high late at night!
This deli has the absolute best sandwiches!! I've had it twice now and both times were 10/10. Their special sauce is delicious, and it's a a lot of food for a great price. Can't wait to go back!

Aya's take: Wow, I have been missing out! I've always heard of the infamous Cristina's but never had the chance to give it a try until now! This hero is exactly what you'd want on a cheat day that will 100% give you the itis after. We called in our order about 10-15 minutes before arriving and it was ready when we got there. The chicken cutlet was seasoned and fried well, the fries were crispy, it was loaded with mozzarella and delicious Russian dressing. The avocado really gave it some freshness and cut through a lot of the greasiness of this insanely satisfying sandwich. I finally understand the hype of this place; do yourself a favor and go!
BUYER BEWARE: RACIST PRACTICES! It's so upsetting to be writing this review but after many years of coming to this place they've changed so much. They're "famous" now so if you're white you will be taken care of first, your sandwiches will be prioritized and they'll allow you to use the restroom. If you aren't white, be prepared to wait mad long for your sandwich to be made and for the Asian guy at the register to be rude to you and talk down on you. You're also not allowed to use the restroom if you aren't white. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere if you're a person of color.
I wanted to try Cristina's Deli after I saw a youtube video of a couple raving about the Heart Attack sandwich. The hero was quite filling as it was large enough to feed me and my boyfriend. It contained Chicken cutlet, melted mozzarella cheese, spicy French fries, onion ring, bacon, and Cristina special sauce. The secret sauce was a little bit overpowering, though the chicken looked well-seasoned it was a little dry, I saw the fries and onion rings but couldn't taste it over everything else. Prices are fair and the order did not take long, but it's not something I would crave again.
First time my friend and I decided to get a wrap from here. I made an order for pickup for two chicken caesar wraps (ONLY ONE LIGHT DRESSING) & small waffle fries. Unfortunately both wraps ended up having barely any dressing & all you could taste was the chicken and tomato. I also wish they would have had a restroom for customers! Good thing was they had blow pops lollipop so it made up for that downside lol
Worst customer service ever. I told them no bacon my wife is allergic yet do you know the ambulance had rush her to the ER because they don't care about people's lives they only want to collect money. Worst food ever no top of that they be scamming people for there money. Always ask for a receipt they hesitated when I ask for an item receipt because they knew they overcharged me.

Sandwich was ok but the waffle fries are crispy and seasoned. Will be back to try other interesting sandwiches on the menu. Order ahead on the phone as lines and wait can be long.
One of my friends raved about this deli having some of the most amazing sandwiches in NYC and I can see why. Definitely a local gem and casual spot, this deli has a massive menu of special sandwiches and other filling bites. We got their heart attack sandwich, a reuben sandwich, and their ChinaMac. All there were so good, full of flavor, and definitely a indulgence. Super yummy and I would love to come back. read more

Christina's is another neighborhood staple.. "IYKYK" kinda thing. Been going here since high school as well and alsoo remember the food tasting way better before than now (it's definitely gotta be the alcohol as I came here so sober this time). Nothing over the top or special about this place other than it being my neighborhood spot. It's literally a nyc Deli and they also have alll the snacks and drinks you could think of/want after a night out. That being said, people typically come here for the same reason so expect it to be packed after hours. Also, in case you were thinking there are NO vapes, tobacco, paper products available here Give Cherry Valley a shot across the street and compare the two with your boo and make it fun or somethin, see which one y'all prefer! read more

I usually love this place -- easily a 10 out of 10 in my book -- but my last visit was an absolute letdown. I went in on Sunday morning (10/26/25), excited to treat myself to my usual Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. Normally, I get it on a roll, but since I've always enjoyed it so much, I decided to go for the hero this time. BIG MISTAKE!! I don't know who was working the kitchen that day, but the sandwich was a total mess. The bread came out completely torn apart and soggy, the presentation was sloppy, and there was barely any avocado -- something I've never seen from this place before. It honestly felt like a rushed, careless job, which is disappointing considering how consistently great they usually are. I really hope this was just an off day, because I'd hate to think the quality is slipping. I'll give them another chance because of all the great meals I've had here, but if this happens again, it might be time to find a new go-to spot, or maybe the Deli across the street from you...where people have been talking wonders about. Wow, such a gorgeous in January with high 60's degree weather. Does it mean Spring might be coming early but Groundhog Day is not until next month? Hmmm... Finally, I have popped my Cristina's Deli + China Mac's sandwich cherries today. I have been waiting for a long time since last summer when China Mac's sandwich was created by Danny. I was so excited when I ordered my China Mac hero sandwich lol Most of my friends know that I love everything about China Mac and I am one of his chopii (means fan) There are four tables where you can sit down and enjoy your sandwich or take-out. I cannot believed I missed reviewing here! I have been coming to this place since I was a kid. In fact, I remember this place as Whitestone Deli as a kid/teenager. I don't remember how or why I started dining at Cristina's as opposed to Cherry Vali but they are very similar. I used to frequent a bar across the street that sadly is no longer there. We would walk across the street to grab something to eat if we were drunk, hungry, or wanted to grab something on our way home. I prefer here over Cherry Valley for many reasons. They are both 24/7 which is super amazing. Cristina's is as clean as a deli/bodega can be. The menu is super extensive and you can change menu items if you want but you probably will not because everything is creative and tasty! When you order over the phone, the food is always ready when you pick it up. When you order in store, you wait maybe 10 minutes at most. The staff there are decent and do their job. I especially love their breakfast sandwiches. Everything is hot and tastes fresh. They have a decent seating area if you want to eat inside. The drink refrigerators are extensive so they probably have what you want. Needless to say, I try to eat here every time I visit home! read more

I've been coming here for years for late night, you'll-regret-this-in-the-morning kind of eats and it never disappoints. It's always packed with a young New York crowd, so order ahead if you want to save yourself the wait. The chicken cutlets have gotten thicker on their sandwiches and the secret sauce is still just as good as ever, so always get extra. A place worthy of the hype and checking off your list at least once in your life. read more

Christinas` has jumped the shark. Just went there today for chicken fingers and fries. Half the chicken fingers were old, you can tell because they were darker and harder, and the mozzarella that was on the fries was so chewy, you could have sworn it was bubble gum. This is not the first time in the past few months where the food was sub standard. This is about the 3rd time it`s happened to me. Done with Christinas` deli. Next time I`ll just get a Snickers bar. read more
I had a craving for pastrami and ordered "the king pastrami". Much to my amazement, they made a lean and tasty sandwich. There was plenty of meat and some mustard and vegetables. They have a roll size Vs. a hero. The hero was plenty! Worth having again! read more

I have to update my review and rating and I really didn't want to do this because it also means we have lost a place we liked to get takeout from. The last two times we have ordered via Uber Eats and both times our orders were wrong. The didn't put gravy in 4 heros in total the last 2 times ordering. Today the messed up the order so bad, I have no idea what they sent us and they also forgot a part of our order. Now worst part about this all is I kid you not, I am writing this review glued the the bowl on New Years day because of your food. I did not drink yesterday and this was the only thing we ate today and we are both sick as F$#k! This will 100% be the last time. Never again. read more

HUGE ROACHES EVERYWHERE!!!! First off I would like to say I love this place sandwiches and pastrami's! But everytime I order food they block me cause I accidentally chargebacked one of the orders a few weeks ago. Today the bell rang and I opened the door. My heart sank.... there was a sandwich inside a plastic bag. I knew it must be from Christina's cause my fav sandwich is the pastrami. I thought they forgive me and realized i was wrong. I was so happy. I enjoyed my sandwich extremely satisfied and was throwing the wrappings back into the bag. I grab the napkin to wipe the pastrami grease off my lips....Guess what kind of gift they left me in the napkins? An ARMY of dead roaches. Damn you! You went too far! Avoid this establishment. They are not good. Go to CHERRY VALLEY. Right across the street. More clean 100% and there shouldn't be roaches roaming the establishment like Cristina's! read more

Love their Reuben's. Cook time can be a little on the slow side. The first time we came we waited 35 minutes or so for our food. There were a lot of orders before we placed ours but it was well worth the wait. Food orders are to go only. No dine in or public restrooms. Parking is paid street parking. read more
Hit the motherfreakin spot! Was feeling a tad nauseous on the drive there but the warm chicken cutlet, luscious avocado slice, and saliva-inducing chipotle sauce spun that right around. Wow sodium does wonders for your stomach. Anyways, the Chipotle Lover ($9.79) sans cheese (cause y'all know we lactose-intolerant in dis house) was pure delight. Cross by the store makes me curious about their sandwich. Many people come to pick it up. So I got through phone order and it's ready in 10 min only. For me the roll size was perfect for me, because I also got the french fries. Altogether for roll and big size of french fries cost $16. The bread itself in perfect toast with tender chicken cutlet, the spicy french fries, and melted cheese truly melted in your mouth. No need other condiments to eat with. Juicy and lot of flavor in your mouth. Will back for another rolls, if you see on the menu they have a lot of option for the sandwiches and sides. read more
