Grilled Chicken with Ginger Rice and chilli basil chicken over rice
    Mimee S.

I wanted to like this place but unfortunately the taste fell short. Portion wise it was pretty generous. I ordered: Grilled chicken with ginger rice- Decent amount of chicken but it wasn't really grilled or charred. The skin to the chicken was also soggy. The ginger rice however, was delicious. Chilli basil chicken- This was not the usual "pad kra pow" I've had. There was no color to the chicken. Not enough basil and thai chillis and it was just simply lacking flavor.

I don't want to review this place. I really really don't NOT because its bad by any means but because I want to gatekeep it to myself so terribly I LOOOOOOVE this place. It has become my go-to thai place and its halal!!!! The food is fantastic (pad se ew being my favorite) and you can't go wrong with what you order honestly. I love it so much so that I wanted to come here for my family birthday dinner than go to a fancy shmancy place and honestly I love it more than when I did The drinks, the food, the service everything is just perfect

I'm not sure if the guy wasn't paying attention or if it was just by accident. Ordered the Khao Soi Curry noodles. Come to my surprise they gave me the thigh bone...(little to no meat on it) and a piece of white meat? Did I mentioned it was cold? Plus the stock and noodles were a bit scarce... for the price they're asking for. It definitely felt a bit downgraded. Did I mentioned cold? Like refrigerator cold... I would've understood if it was considered the "lunch special" but it wasn't. Overall the flavors are still there just wished it wasn't the size of a happy meal.. I also ordered the fish cakes with wilter salad on the side. Granted could be from the fried fish cakes or it was old... regardless I didn't bother with the greens. The scallion pancake was probably not the best out of the bunch. Soggy, greasy, and yes! of course it was cold. Today doesn't seem to be their day. Hopefully they'll get better at their takeouts.

My first time trying this place and I'm surprised at myself why I did not go here ever and I live nearby. We went earlier today around 11ish and it was empty. And its sunday and they have lunch specials! It's a small cute place with a few tables. The staff was nice and we ordered: -Thai iced coffee - roti massaman -spicy pad see ew -lunch special: crab rangoon w/ chicken pad thai -lunch special: spring roll w/ beef with ginger over rice everything was really good and the portion is actually big for what you're paying. Would definitely come back to try out more items.

A cute, small halal restaurant for friends. We walked in as a group of friends looking to have dinner. The worker here was excellent - attentive and fast! Most of us got the Thai iced tea which was delicious. Pricing is great here, most of the entrees were $15. The crab rangoons were my favorite and a hit!! I got the pad thai which was great. The chicken could have been a bit more softer but overall great food and service. I would come back to this establishment!

My bestie came over and wanted food. We decided to try something different other than the Thai spot that we normally order from. We decided to order a few apps and a few entrées so we can all share between the three of us. We ordered via UberEats. Our order consisted of Curry Puffs, Money Bags, Drunken Noodles with Shrimp, Massaman Curry with Chicken, Roti Massaman, and Coconut Paradise. The food was just OK. I wasn't a fan of the sweet tasting Massaman Curry. My hubby said that he enjoyed the sample he tried and that it wasn't bad. Don't get me wrong. The food was edible up until the point where I found hair in my food. Definitely not our favorite Kin'd Thai restaurant. I was truly disappointment with what I found in my food and the restaurant not adhering to the special instructions notes. I will never order from this place again!

Our first visit to Chill'D was for takeout and it was just mediocre. We ordered pretty standard stuff like Chicken Satay & Pad See Ew and I wasn't too thrilled as it was cold and hard when we got it home. The Mango Salad was pretty good, but that was cold to begin with. To really enjoy your food, you have to have an actual sit down meal and I'm glad we finally did. The place is tiny, seating 16 people at the tables, plus another 3 at the window counter. Also order some of the chef's specialties and you won't regret it. It's the best when it comes out hot right to your table. Plus your pictures look a lot better than in a takeout container. Lol For our Friday date night, we and one another couple were the only customers and I'm glad because it was just one guy doing everything in the front of the house, serving, answering phones and takeout orders. Even though he was busy, table service was still pretty good and our food came out timely and hot. We started with Roti Massaman, pancake/bread slices you dip in Massaman Curry sauce and it was a delicious appetizer. If you have any curry sauce left over, save it for your Jasmine rice later on. The Duck Tamarind is a crispy skinned half duck in a tangy & sweet sauce covering some vegetables and definitely worth the money. This was probably my favorite. My wife got the Goong Ob Woonsen, which is Shrimp & Glass Noodles in a (not very) spicy sauce. It had excellent flavor because they left 2 of the large shrimp with the heads & shells on, where all the sweet, juicy flavor is. Each entree comes with a huge bowl of Jasmine Rice that I love to mix with the different sauces. Don't forget to get a Thai Iced Tea or Coffee. The icy drink sweetened with condensed milk is really good at staving off the spicy hot foods. I'm definitely making this a regular neighborhood dinner spot!

We were searching for Thai restaurants on Yelp and found this place by accident. We love Thai food and I was very excited to try out this new restaurant that just opened a week ago. The restaurant isn't all that big and we were the only ones there for dinner on Friday. We did noticed that they had a steady stream of people coming in ordering food to go. We got the Chill' D combo, roti massaman, chicken satay, chicken pad Thai and beef pad seiw. The Chill D combo had curry puffs, crab Rangoon, dumplings, money bag, and spring rolls; all of which were fried. My favorite were the crab Rangoon which had a delicate filling and crispy skin. The roti came with masaman dipping sauce that was devoid of meat. A good vegetarian option, if you're looking for one. Both of the noodle dishes were good but the stand out was the pad seiw. The noodles were flavorful and soft. And even though the beef was slightly over cooked, we thought this dish was great. Unfortunately, we could not say the same with the chicken satay. The meat was extremely dry and over cooked. A definite misstep by chef. On a brighter note, the service was excellent and very attentive. As part of their grand opening promo, we got 20% taken off our bill. And the waiter also gave us complementary Thai iced tea! So nice! I noticed he did this to every take out order as well. This place is worth a try if you're in the neighborhood. But I would probably skip the satay if I were you.

Stopped by out of convenience (after grocery shopping next door). The place is clean and quiet. The drink was overly sweet and I had to dilute it with some water. Dumpling was too salty and the chicken in the Khao Soi was a bit overcooked. At least the noodles and curry was good. The flavors were there for both dishes but just one little thing made them a bit off. Maybe it's an off day for the chef. I'll give the place another try maybe 6 months from now in hopes to redeem themselves.

Found this place recently! I technically went to the one in Fresh Meadows, but they don't have a yelp, so I'm posting it here. Anyway! I ordered the pad see eiw and it was delicious! The flavor was savory and the texture was smooth as you would expect with these thick noodles. The Thai iced tea was also creamy and sweet! The service was quick and the food was prepared within 15-20 minutes (possibly earlier). Overall, Chill D is a great choice for Thai food. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because Queens has a lot of competition in terms of Thai cuisine and I've had better. However, Chill D is still a great choice.

Pad See Eiw and Massaman Curry
    Cindy J.

The place is beautifully decorated. It is a small Thai restaurant. The staff was excellent. I ordered Massaman Veggie Duck and it was really delicious! My sister ordered Green Curry Veggie Duck and she enjoyed it. The Green Curry was mild, not spicy. My friend ordered Chicken Pad See Ew and that was good! Mild as well. We got a free Thai iced tea drink because our order was over $25. That was a pleasant surprise. We also had the vanilla fried ice cream. It was great! I would order here again. No bathrooms available inside.

Our group was quite hungry as we had just walked maybe 14-16 or so miles, and I looked up the local spots around where we finished, and this lovely place popped up. We arrived pretty early for lunch, and there was already a handful of people here, but by the time we left, it was crowded. The inside has a nice design, almost reminding me of the old markets in Bangkok back when I was there. The female server we had was very friendly, giving recommendations to the people in our group who were less familiar with Thai food or helping them decide between dishes. I will note, though, that we were unaware of the lunch menu until post-meal, but that was fine with me as I left happily full. While I only had one dish and a bite of an appetizer, I would definitely go back here, and I wish it were closer, as I found this spot a gem among the many Thai spots. Someone else ordered the Curry Puffs for $10, with homemade puff pastry, ground chicken, potato, and onion with cucumber relish, as an appetizer. The dish arrived with three puffs, and I had a tiny bit of one of the parts as I wasn't sharing this dish. From the little I tasted, the puff was standard, but good, with a lightly spiced filling. The cucumber relish was slightly sweet as expected. The presentation was also nice, as there was a piece of watermelon radish as well as some sliced carrots. My main dish was the $16 Sukhothai Spicy Pork Noodle Soup with thin rice noodles, handmade pork meatballs, roasted pork, long beans, bean sprouts, peanuts, dried shrimp, and boiled egg. The dish arrived with a cracker with their logo on it, which was a fun touch, though it was soon dipped into the broth. The broth was slightly rich and quite porky as expected, and was mildly spicy. As per many other traditional Thai spots, though, they gave the usual mix of chilies and chili sauces, so soon, the spice was to my liking. The pork meatballs had a bit of bounce, and the roasted pork had good flavor. The rest of the vegetables and peanuts added a good crunch. The noodles were plentiful, and while I prefer egg noodles or thicker rice noodles found in other Thai soups, as they grab onto the broth better, they worked here. The rest of the people enjoyed their more generic dishes, ranging from green curries to Pad Thai to Pad Kee Mao/drunken noodles. I wish this place were closer, as I would definitely go back. The ratings are high, but justified.

It was a perfect balance of tangy and salty. They gave us a decent amount of shrimps. The tom yum soup had a kick (to the back of your throat) to it even though we asked for mild. It was tasty. The basil minced pork was also delicious with the Thai omelette completing it really well! My partner got the intestine herbal soup and it was pretty good! I wasn't in the mood for it. I was almost disappointed when I saw their sign still said closed a couple minutes past 11:30 AM, but they switched it really quick. Service was friendly and attentive. The Som Tum Pu Pla-Ra had such a delicious spicy, fermented briney umami to it. The crab was tender and well marinated, so it is on the salty side. The papaya and vegetables still had a good bite to them. The spiciness is no joke. Enjoyable, but I definitely wanted a break in between bites. A must get if you enjoy these flavors! I got the lunch special, which is available everyday (yes, weekends included. I was here on a Saturday!): - Complimentary Salad: crisp and fresh veggies. Great peanut sauce. - Chive Pancake: Crisp exterior and airy interior. The sweet chili dipping sauce added great flavor. Not too sweet or spicy. - Garlic Noodles w/ Crispy Pork Belly: the pork belly was really crisped up, so some pieces were a bit too crisped up for me. The noodles were cooked well though. A lot of good flavos, a bit heavy on the salty umami but I like that. I'd choose a different protein next time. I did take the som tum pu pla-ra and the garlic noodles home for leftovers. Both maintained their deliciousness. The Mango Thai Tea has a good balance of mango and thai tea. It was a little sweet, but not overly so. Overall a solid Thai spot in the area, especially for the lunch special! A lot of fellow diners ordered the lunch special as well.

Tom yum soup and mango sticky rice were great! The fries were underwhelming and lacked any seasoning or salt. The first two times we went the pork belly was really good but they changed to a much thinner and less fatty version that had bones in it so that wasn't as good this time. Still a good spot for Thai food, but would try other items next time!

Well, then for Mother's Day, my mom decided she wanted to try Boon Dee Moo Ka Ta out. And we loved it! Hot pot AND BBQ all in one? Yes please. There was a generous assortment of hot foods including garlic fried rice (so flavorful!), fried eggs, chicken nuggets and fries, tom yum soup, fried fish and shrimp, and chicken wings, among others. The main buffet area has a variety of veggies, fish and lobster balls, noodles, pork, seafood, chicken, and beef dishes, as well as a sauce and utensils bar. They have an amazing desserts section as well with shaved ice, smores, cake slices, and mango sticky rice (I believe this is seasonal). Service was fantastic as they kept coming by to refill our water, broth, and change out our grill. We were on the waitlist for an hour before getting a table, but it was well worth it (and I understand why there's always a line to get in here). We will definitely be returning!

The appetizers are always tasty (don't skip the soup!) and the variety of dessert is impressive. Simmering vegetables in the hot water moat along the outer edge of the grill is fun and different. The ribs are drool-worthy. The staff is friendly and attentive - love that they come over to change the grill when it gets dirty - and the restaurant space is spacious and clean. Great place to bring family.

I still remember them seating a group of 14 of us after pickleball with no issues at all :) The portion sizes are generous and everything looks very aesthetically pleasing. I first came during Restaurant Week and got to try a variety of dishes and an affordable price. The Pad Thai Boran quickly became my favorite. The duck is also very crispy and pairs so well with the citrusy pineapple curry sauce Their cocktails are also worth ordering. I really enjoyed "Meet Me at Siam," a fruity strawberry cocktail that's refreshing and paired well with the things we ordered :3

I've tried both takeout and dine out by now. The dine in experience last week was far better than the takeout experience a couple of weeks back. Food tasted better and tasted consistent to the same food I've tried at Malii. For dine in last week, we tried their Mango based rum drink each and luckily made it to their Happy Hour time so was charged $8 less, a good deal. We got their Zaab Zaab wings which were good and ordered the Crab Fried Rice and Panang Curry in Beef. Crab Fried rice was pretty yum with actual chunks of crab meat while the Panang Curry tasted just okay. Hope they can work on that. I also ordered Thai iced tea which was very watery and somehow tasted like medicine, they didn't charge me for it and I appreciated the gesture. Looking forward to try them again and hoping their taste profile can be as good and consistent as Malii. Service was warm and friendly, thanks for that! :)

I really like the quality of the food here. It's comparable to some good authentic thai restaurants in the city. I ordered my items through Doordash (2 buck delivery fee, not bad): Chicken curry puff pastry- I love these. By far my favorite appetizer! They also give a condiment to go with it, which I didn't really like (it's like pepper, onions, etc. in diluted water or something??) Pad Kee Mao- I've ordered this in the past. It is definitely good BUT as some reviews mentioned, they do skimp on ingredients. In this case, it was the rice noodle itself: Way too many veggies Pad Thai- I had the chicken pad Thai. It's very good and the proportions are big. The chicken part isn't anything special but they don't charge you more for it, so might as well have it. Chicken thai fried rice- it's pretty good but I've seen other places have more flavor. Again, chicken isn't a deal breaker here but it won't set youck or anything from ordering it. I kind of wish they gave soy sauce or hot sauce as a condiment. The rice alone wasn't really doing it for me. I think it's worth noting that this may be one of the first (and probably only ) halal thai for miles. Anyways, support your local business by helping this unique halal joint.
