Bathrooms appear nice, but with closer inspection, a bit dingy

XOXO DINING: This was my least favorite restaurant. It was in a actual dining hall and looked decorated for a little girl's event, not really a restaurant vibe, but like simply for an event. It was decorated well, but it looked badly implemented with chipped paint, old looking furniture some parts looked a bit dirty or cheap when you look closely. This was specifically the bathroom which looked dingy. Decor and ambiance: 3/5 Service: the waiter was okay. He was young and seemed new so his recommendations did not appear confident. 4/5 Food and Drinks: I went for brunch. The pink drink wasn't pretty enough for me. It didn't photograph the best, but tasted okay. I drank diet soda after that. The steak and eggs were good. I added sausage and they were TERRIBLE! So I swapped them for bacon, which was fine. 4/5. Overall score is 3.5/5. This is a great place for young girls and tea parties (there were a lot of little girls there celebrating their birthdays or a special event.) So that was cute, but not for a grown woman feminine aesthetic. Want more authentic opinions? Check out my video reviews and more on my various platforms: CocoasJoy

This place is definitely cute for aesthetics, pictures, and vibes if that's what you're going for. Food and service- not so much.... Reservations: Came here on a Friday evening about 8:30pm for a bachelorette party dinner on time with our whole party for our reservation. We had a reservation, they had plenty of open tables, and we were still required to wait roughly 10 minutes to be seated! What's the point of having a reservation if you have to wait? Service: I'd consider service during our time here barely acceptable. PSA!!! TIP IS AUTOMATICALLY ADDED TO YOUR BILL, which is probably why they don't care if their service is terrible. While waiting for our groups table to be ready, I figured I'd order a drink at the bar thinking it'd be quick and i could enjoy it while waiting. The bartenders were SO SLOW. There was no one else at the bar and the bartenders seemed to just be standing around. I ordered a drink off their menu, and my friend ordered a shot. Took the guy forever considering him and the other bartender were standing there doing nothing, and he even forgot to give me my card back. Food: Pretty average, and overpriced. Three girls on my end of the table ordered the simplest item on the menu- burger and fries. The waiter FORGOT my order, then acted surprised when everyone else had their food and I was looking at him like hello?? I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for my food while everyone else got to enjoy theirs... We also paid for the sign/song/cupcakes package- waiter also acted like he forgot about it until a member in my party approached him to ask when they were going to do it They also do have a speakeasy in the back. Which here's another great story that happened during our visit! One of the waiters or managers told us we could go back there to take photos while waiting for our food, and their security guy in the Speakeasy told us we could not be back there. Threatened to check all our IDs, and purses. As one girl in my party pointed out, Texas is an open carry state. If he had searched out purses what was he expecting to find??? I personally wouldn't come back here. Service was terrible (probably because they already slide the tip onto your bill in hopes you'll double tip for their terrible service), and food overpriced for what you could get elsewhere. Only came as guest for the bachelorette party. I also found it rude how they tried to shoo us out of the empty speakeasy which is clearly set up aesthetically for guests to take Instagram photos. Like don't have a restaurant that is so geared towards Instagram photo aesthetics if you don't want guests to take photos there to post/promote your business online?

Angel was incredible! He immediately greeted our table and started us off with 2 bottles of champagne for mimosas! I loved the steak and eggs and loved it even more that it was the perfect medium rare. The food was tasty, though, we waited a little long for it, but it was worth the wait. The music was great and this is a great spot for larger groups whether you're celebrating or just want a good time. Cute vibe!

Came here with a group for a girlfriend's birthday dinner on a Sunday early evening. Its a cute space, probably more focused on the ambiance and vibes than anything else. Food was just okay, we ordered multiple appetizers to share and a few people ordered entrees. Note they offer 1/2 price appetizers and signature cocktails on Wednesday and Sunday evenings, which was a nice surprise. Overall, the drinks were better than the food--best bite was a toss between the crudite plate and the shrimp spring roll. Service was not great, especially since the restaurant wasnt packed. We had to search for our server a few times (had to ask another server for refills, the check, etc) and she came out with an incorrect order and argued with us about it. Not a fan of their valet, which takes up the entire private parking lot. If you want to park yourself, you're relegated to street parking. Overall, a mid experience, wont be back unless compelled by another friend.

Went here for my friend's birthday, really enjoyed it! The place is super pink, cute & totally Instagram worthy. Staff were super friendly and fun! Loved the drinks, especially the pink cocktails and great presentation too. Food was meh though...my chicken and waffles were dry and kind of cold. Still I'd come back for the vibes and cocktails more than the food. The back "garden" was not open as it was getting cleaned or something but we still went for a stroll and it was cute but wish we were able to see it in its full glory!

XOXO is a vibe haven. The venue is all pink and the interior design follows that same color palette - probably why so many people celebrate birthdays here and dress accordingly to match the aesthetic. I visited XOXO for a Galentine's Day celebration. The menu was minimal because of the number of people and I will say I was disappointed because I wanted an item from the regular menu. I ordered the salmon and rice and it was OK. Overall, the food was fine, nothing spectacular. Yet, if you're a foodie, just know this is a place to go for the vibes and Insta-worthy snaps, not food.

I am a girly who does her research before going anywhere so I had my little $5 cash for valet ready to go as I pulled into the parking lot. However, it was $10 and I had to park my own car. When I mentioned it to the valet people, she repeatedly told me "talk to the manager" and I was not fixing to argue despite feeling scammed. Anyway, vibes were super cute and there are lots of good spots for pictures, especially in the garden out back. It was surprisingly not busy for Sunday Brunch, but service was still a little slow. We all ordered chicken and waffles and two Caesar salads, and it was a minute before our food arrived. In my opinion, food here is a little pricey and there's not much to choose from. Chicken and waffles were good, but were they worth $19? I could definitely see this place as a cute place to grab drinks and take cute pics with your girls, but it's a little overrated. Given that it was dead on a Sunday, I think others might think so too.

Basic....very hot inside not very ideal for Dallas 98° weather and the food was just OK. When it was time for our party to leave it took FOREVER to pay the bill & even get their attention. You can tell the staff is over worked and just doesn't want to be bothered if they're not waiting your table. Overall I'd say it was overrated and I probably won't be going back

We had an 8:30 PM reservation, and our entire party was present by 8:35 PM. I initially arrived at 8:15 PM and waited at the bar with one of my guests while the others arrived. Despite only three other people being at the bar, it took quite a while to be acknowledged. When we were finally served, the bartenders were inattentive and borderline aggressive--and a single lemon drop was $22. Once seated, we waited over 30 minutes without service. At 9:21 PM, a server finally arrived with a pitcher of water. To her credit, she had just been informed by the front that our table existed, and the restaurant doesn't assign specific sections to servers. She was warm, professional, and hands down the best part of the night. The Food: We ordered several appetizers, but unfortunately, none of them were memorable. Given the overall experience, we stayed just long enough for the birthday shoutout and then decided to leave. The Ambience: The pink theme is cute and playful. There were several groups of teens and preteens celebrating birthdays. The music, however, was much too loud for dinner conversation. The vibe felt like a mix of teen party meets every trendy restaurant trope--green wall accents, over-the-top photo ops, and loud, flashy decor. Cleanliness Concern: One of our guests saw a male server (not ours) exit a restroom stall and leave without washing his hands. That completely killed any appetite we had left. Bright Spot: We did have fun dancing toward the end. The staff took our song requests, and we enjoyed that moment--even if it didn't feel like the type of establishment that normally welcomes dancing. Overall Rating: 5/10 It wasn't the worst night, but between the delayed service, overpriced drinks, so-so food, and a serious hygiene issue, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Went to XOXO for the 1st time for a friends bday dinner yesterday. The line for valet was insanely long, I heard they only had one guy working. It almost had me and my party late for our reservation. Got the 4 for $75 Patron bottle deal, that cocktail tasted more like a mocktail. It was still good. Ordered the beef skewers and truffle fries, they were fine but cold. Everyone else in my party felt the food was very bland. Our server wasn't any help, we wanted to ask questions or order more items but she would leave our table so fast and go chill in back corner. The restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing but that's just it. Me and my party group were very disappointed in our overall experience at XOXO.

This is a place where you pay for the aesthetic. The decor and pink vibe is so nice and appealing. We sat at the bar so service was prompt and efficient. We got the spicy joule pasta ($27) to share and the half off cocktail hour specials (uptown diva and guilty pleasure both $7.50). I'd recommend getting the drinks during their happy hour since they were good! Both on the sweeter end. The pasta was okay- honestly not spicy as advertised and the portion was great. At $27- I'd prefer to go to eataly for more authentic pasta or Eatzi's and add protein to it. This is overpriced Americanized pasta- it's not bad but in my opinion not worth trying it again. Would come here for a drink or two and skip the dining aspect.

I attended here for a friends bachelorette dinner and it was beyond what I could've imaged. The environment was truly spectacular and picture perfect - quite literally. There were so many different areas that were great for photo opportunities. The food, drinks, service added to the great time we had. I ordered the spring rolls to share and then the lobster Mac. Both were excellent choices!

Super disappointed. I'm writing this while still seated here. I was hyped to take my lady here but to say the food was lackluster is an understatement. The waiter we had needs to educate himself on the menu. The portions are too small, cost way too much and the drinks have little no alcohol yet were also pricey. Nice vibe and ambiance but sheesh I can't believe a chef would let this leave the kitchen. I understand why this place was so empty at brunch time. Won't be recommending or coming back anymore.

XOXO Dining Room Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - XOXO Dining Room

Do they serve beer?

Yes

Are little dogs allowed?

I have not seen any dogs there when I visited.

Is it kid friendly?

Not really for little kids but if they are well behaved then it could work.

Is there an age restriction?

No. I've seen people bring their babies here & it's a popular place for bachelorettes, bridal showers, high school dances, & middle school mom & me brunches.

My reservation is set for Thursday at 7:30pm. Where do you park, how much does it cost & am I able to self park?

You can park at the venue for about $10 (i think that was the price). There is a large parking lot and valet will park the vehicle for you.

Are there Covid restrictions for this restaurant? Do we need to be vaccinated or have negative Covid test to enter?

Went there sunday. No vaccination proof needed nor negative test.

Do they still serve dinner at 10:30?

Yes our reservation was for 1030 and by the time we was settled and ordered it was about 1130 so I would say kitchen likely open til 12

Do we need to make a reservation?

I highly recommend a reservation.

Is brunch served all day?

No there is not all day brunch

How much is it for a private party? Is it best to go for brunch or dinner?

Brunch is cheaper and tastes better in my opinion? Don't know how much for a private party.

Is the $50 brunch menu per person or for the entire table? How many people does that feed?

Per person and it's not good nor worth it

Does anyone know if getting the social dinner/social brunch worth it? And is the price per person or the whole price?

Yes it is worth it! The price you see is the total price and you can split amongst your guests (if you choose to do so). We split amongst 7 of us and it was surprisingly very filling.

Do the female servers wear uniforms? If so, what do they look like?

The staff wear all black

Do you have a private dining area for party of 30?

Ask for the garden room or speakeasy

What is the best time to take kids ages 9 and 11?

Although XOXO appears fun and angelic, it really isn't child friendly. Therefore, I'd suggest taking children as early as possible if absolutely necessary.

Can anyone show the brunch menu? can't find it anywhere and have reservations for saturday

Go to their website, click reservations, click a brunch time and details of the menu is listed in paragraph form.… Read more

Want to reserve this place for my Birthday. Does this place offer good Seafood options or People who only eat vegetarian?

They have limited seafood and vegan offerings; salmon, shrimp, salad, Brussel sprouts, etc. You may want to view the menu before you go to make sure they have what you want.

Are they social distancing? Is the Mr X Bar open? Is dining room still at full capacity?

YES REALLY. 🙄 per the "really" comment to my review on this venue.

Question, maybe a stupid question, we just moved to Dallas with my son & husband. Is this restaurant just for girls? Or are men allowed too? Lol

It's for both. And kids can come too but only up to a certain hour! There is a bar/club atmosphere attached that's really nice as well. And both males and females are there and have a great time

Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

Knowledgeable about the menu & great recommendations. Kev was a joy to have as our server. The food is amazing & love the ambiance of the restaurant. My only complaint...we came in early Saturday prior to Stars game. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

We tried the lamb chops -- great flavor, nicely seasoned, though slightly on the tougher side. The truffle fries? Loved. The burger? Delicious. The oysters? Fresh and absolutely worth ordering. The cornbread was served with a bone marrow butter that added a rich twist, and the cornbread had a subtle jalapeño kick (at least to me!), which I really enjoyed. For drinks we tried the pear cobbler, Island Boy and the Pixie Cup. We enjoyed the pear cobbler the most. The ambiance is warm and inviting -- the kind of place you could come for happy hour and accidentally stay all evening. And I believe parking is validated.
