Service - so kind! Vibe - simple and cute! a smaller place so may be tough to get a seat inside on a busy day Lemonade - sweet but delicious, cut it with iced tea for a refreshing Arnold Palmer Crispy Chicken Sandwich - pounded thin chicken, the sriracha honey is incredible, love the soft bread. Absolutely amazing Burger - my boyfriend got this and said that the burger was a bit dry and that all the juice was just falling out onto the plate. He didn't think it was special so probably would skip. Chips - Good texture and crunch. I think could use a little something MORE maybe a little more seasoning Chocolate Chip Cookie - Fantastic texture, soft on the inside but holds together, could be a little sweeter but I actually enjoyed it a lot. Sea salt is a great touch Pricing - on the mid-higher side. $50 total for 2 people of everything above with 2 drinks. My boyfriend said if they gave fries with the food instead of chips it would elevate the experience a lot but Ik a lot is changing with food costs so I get it. Overall I would definitely return to try other sandwiches!
The overall flavor of the sandwich was good, primarily carried by the sriracha mayo. The quality of the chicken was poor though. While it was juicy and breaded nicely, the actual chicken breast meat was under-seasoned and had an odd texture. When I took bite the meat was almost crunchy/rubbery. It just wasn't pleasant. I feel this can be fixed if they switch to thigh meat instead of breast.
6/25/26 First visit. After court Sandy and I headed to Main Street looking for breakfast please I bookmarked. Worthy Takeaway was in our sights to try. Parking 5/5 Arrived close to 9 am and we parked just east on Robson where plenty street spaces were available. Atmosphere 4/5 The dining room is a work in progress having added seating after being a takeout business only hence the name worthy of taking away. Walks have been removed opening up the space. It's a cute option for downtown food. Service 5/5 This is a counter order business. Grab menus bring them to your table. Head to the counter and place your orders. Food is delivered to your table. Fast and friendly service. Food 5/5 We both ordered the breakfast burritos, coffee and iced tea and a homemade banana pudding dessert. The burritos had country style potatoes, eggs and bacon. They came with a light verde salsa. The burritos hit the spot, we're hearty and filling. Worthy Takeaway or dining in my friend's-SYOY!
*Really* great service. High quality food and ingredients. Clean, small eating area and patio. Enjoyed the Turkey and arugula sandwich.
This was our first time trying Worth Takeaway. Well, no pun intended...It was definitely Worth it. When we entered the restaurant, we were pleasantly greeted by the staff behind the counter. As my eyes glanced across the restaurant, I felt it was an opened and very clean environment. It had tall white walls, a pale green tile counter with subtle gold accents and three pictures hanging on the wall. Behind the counter, there was a sign that read "Great day for a pint of ice cream or a pint of beer." The restaurant is small inside. But there's plenty of seating outside. The restaurant holds about 40 customers with their inside and outside seating. The sandwiches are absolutely fantastic! My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich and I had the crispy chicken sandwich. I tried to bite of his buffalo chicken sandwich with their house made buffalo sauce and a evenly pounded chicken breast. It was topped with coleslaw and in-house made ranch dressing. My crispy chicken consisted of an evenly pounded chicken breast, lettuce, mayonnaise, and the most delicious pickles I do believe I've ever tasted! When I asked our fantastic server about the pickles being made in house, she stated yes the pickles, all the sauces and dressings except for mayonnaise and ketchup were made from scratch. We each got a salad. It consisted of mixed greens, tomatoes, and was dressed in the most amazing house vinaigrette. We also split a chocolate chip cookie that was garnished with sea salts. It too was fantastic. We will definitely be going back to this restaurant. My husband even made a comment that he's going back tomorrow because this location is close to where he works. He wants to try one of their hamburgers next. Thank you to the entire staff at Worth Takeaway for a wonderful experience.
I went back the other day to try their limited time fish sandwich, and when I say it was the soggiest fish sandwich I've ever eaten, I am not lying. The breading was sopping wet and made eating it so unpleasant. The worst part was I paid 18$ for it, with a side of chips(fries would have been more). I was very disappointed. Their whole menu is honestly overpriced. Kind of disappointing what's become of this place. Edit: wasn't sure how to reply to the owner's comment, but I did eat it there, and the very first bite the sandwich fell apart. Honestly, I couldn't taste the fish at all, the flavor from the oil overwhelmed everything else. And you're right I have no problem paying more for quality, but at least for this sandwich it wasn't there.
The best restaurant on Main Street! This eatery is fresh, yummy and healthy!! Really great iced tea and wild tonic !!!!! Yaaaayy hard to find The cookies are yummy too! The grandma one! Also for Halloween they do their bobs burger theme and it's the absolute greatest!!
Came in this morning for breakfast to check the place out for first time. I liked the decor of the restaurant. It gave me a clean farmhouse feel. Very comfortable and clean. I ordered the Cali Breakfast Burrito. In the menu it said it was $15.00. When the cashier rang it up it came up as $16.95? Ummmm okay! I decided to not say anything and just hope for a big old burrito to enjoy. Unfortunately that's not what I received. It was in the slim side for sure and had more fries than meat inside. I was hoping for a little more steak. I did however rather enjoy the green tomatillo salsa that was served with it. It was only enough for half of the burrito. So my overall "take away" for what it's "worth" is it was 3 stars good not 5 stars great. But I can check it off my list of places I wanted to try.
It's been a while since I've been to Worth, it's a cute place with good food. The people that work there are friendly. I was at Tuesday night trivia across the street and needed some dinner, decided Worth is good and it's been a while. I followed suit with the name, and did takeaway to bring our food to trivia. I split the order with my partner. I liked the Cuban sandwich, fries, and Mac n' cheese. The chicken veggie hash was fairly bland and I wished that I had tried something else. Wah, wah but that's okay, some things just don't hit the spot. Overall, Worth is a really solid place for sandwiches when I've come here.
Worth Takeaway? Worth it! Been coming to this spot for more than six years now. I'm surprised I have written about this place before. I'm a huge fan of their hot honey chicken sandwiches but recently, I had their weekly special of a steak and bleu cheese sandwich and whoa. It was a great sandwich. I had it with fries and had their Jim Bob's Grandma's Cookie (oatmeal, butterscotch, chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans) afterwards for dessert. It was a great meal after having since ciders. It's a believe DT Mesa gem and for good reason. The staff has always been friendly and the vibes are great clean gender neutral bathrooms, fun chocolates and books to purchase, and a great meal awaits. It's a cozy spot so don't come with a large party.
Came here for lunch with my boyfriend! I was super excited to try this place. He got the Cubano which I loved I didn't like my breaded chicken sandwich as much. We did enjoy the Mac and cheese and bread pudding!
I'm always intimidated by downtown Mesa parking but I saw a crunch wrap on Worth Takeaway's menu and had to have it. I ordered online and was able to find parking quickly! Worth Takeaway has a nice patio out front and even around 130ish there were 4 or 5 people eating out there. My order was ready quickly and packaged very nicely! I chose fries as my side and noticed the online ordering offered a fries without seasoning option which I'm sure is appreciated by some. The crunch wrap was delicious! It came with a side of "hot sauce" but I preferred a hotter one I have at home. And the fries were great -- very fresh and definitely "homemade". They even packed a little to go cup of ketchup which was very thoughtful. I also got a cup of tomato soup and this was excellent. Clearly made in house and had good substance to it. I'll definitely be back!
My social circle really loves Worth and has been frequenting them since they opened. It has been great watching them expand their location from a small grab n go, to a larger patio and more spacious indoor space that can accommodate larger groups. Though they have made changes since they opened, their menu and quality is still consistent and top quality. They are a great addition to the Mesa community and have had a wonderful impact downtown. Though I've had a chance to try many of the menu offerings, maybe not all, but pretty close, from breakfast, to Family or weekly specials, salads, sandwiches and coffee. We love their classic crispy chicken sandwich (egg is an awesome addition and their house pickles are amazing), the buffalo chicken sando is also top notch, as well as their chicken bites. Honestly, it's all pretty dang good. I love how seasoned their fries are and always get some of their aioli to pair. This last visit I went for the turkey bacon club with sriracha bacon, which I really enjoyed! Their cold brew latte with honey and cinnamon is one of my favorite coffee beverages, shout out to iconic cocktail do. I mixed it up and got the turkey bacon club this time, different bread, more sun style and I really enjoyed it. Came with all the fixings and generous protein portion! Overall, it is a great place to grab a bite that's relatively quick. They have efficient take out and everyone is always so friendly. Though quality is great I do feel the value is on the more expensive side. My sandwich alone was 16 dollars, to upgrade the bacon to their candied Siracha it's another 1.50, it does come with a side- your choice of mixed greens, house made chips or French fries. but counter service sando for nearly 20 bucks is very pricey. Typically cost two people around 35-45 bucks, maybe that's just the new normal these days, time will tell! Still love this place and may not visit as much, but usually hits the spot! read more

I went to Worth because I wanted a good sandwich and boy did I get just that! I looked at their menu online so I knew what I wanted the spicy pork and the spicy candied blt. They were amazing!!! The flavor of the sandwiches made me a fan, the sandwiches came with a side and I chose French fries which were Cajun seasoned and also so delicious. It was a clean and cute atmosphere with friendly service. read more
Really cute sandwich shop downtown mesa. It has an open airy vibe which is nice and you can look at the street car go by. Loved the location. I got the spicy candied blt sandwhich. I swapped the jalepeno bread for sourdough as I cannot handle any spice hahaha. It was different but good. The bacon was sweet but still had just a little spicy kick to it. Their house made chips were good. Next time I will try the fries, those looked tasty read more

Thank you so much for your great review Laura! We appreciate your…
Pro tip: All their sandwiches come with either fries or a side salad. They run out of the banana pudding so go early if that's what you have your eye on. Highlights: I really enjoyed both the crispy chicken sandwich and the seasonal steak sandwich. I thought the flavor of both were amazing but I was actually very impressed with the ciabatta bread itself. I have never had such chewy and airy ciabatta before. And the salad dressing was so delicious. The ambience is really relaxing and comfortable and I thought the service was very friendly as well. Highly recommend! Lowlights: Maybe I was really hungry that day, but even after eating a full sandwich and the side, I was still a bit hungry. For the price of the sandwich, I think it could be more filling. read more
Had the most wonderful lunch experience yesterday with my hubby at Worth Takeaway. We walked into this lovely little place around 12:45pm and it was hopping. There's limited seating (also outdoor patio) and we managed to get a seat at the counter. While we stood In line to order, the staff there is also helping the line go faster by taking orders too. Everyone who works there is soooo nice, friendly and helpful. Y'all, the food is amazing! We ordered the day's special, a muffuletta sammy with chips and also the crispy chicken with bacon and ranch, also with chips. Since we were done with work for the day we also enjoyed a Paloma cocktail. Yes, they have beer, wine and some spirits. Great little lunch spot! read more

Great sandwiches and a nice little lunch spot in downtown Mesa. The tomato soup was excellent, the grilled cheese was so so. I was expecting better or thicker bread and different cheeses rather than something so simple and plain Jane from a sandwich shop. The chicken salad was unique and the breaded chicken was good. The price for the grilled cheese and tomato soup was reasonable, but the other two sandwiches seemed a bit high. The lemonade was a tad too sweet and the watermelon drink was decent. read more

Looking for a good spot for lunch in DT Mesa - Worth Takeaway did not disappoint. The joint itself is relatively small with some seating indoors and a bit more seating outdoors. The menu has quite a few choices. They are broken into "Sandwiches" and "Not Sandwiches". I opted for the Worth Burger and French Fries. The fries were crisp, slightly crunchy, and warm. They were not heavily salted if that is your thing. The Burger was piled high with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and their version of 1000 Island dressing. A great spot, would recommend, and would return. N*joy! read more

Hi Makenzie,…
Perfect sandwich place, essy ordering, nice staff. But the sandwiches are next level. Had the spicy candied BLT and it was great. Just what it said, candid bacon but it had some real bite! Mexican food level spicy heat. It was great. Cooled down by nice herbal iced tea with free refills. Clean modern dining area. I'll be back. read more
While spending the day in Mesa, we had lunch here. During the lunch hour, it gets quite busy and can be a challenge to get a table. You order at the counter, take a seat, and they bring you your food. The sandwiches were very good. The highlight sandwich was the hot ham and cheese. read more

Cute little area and Mesa DT has really cleaned up. So adorable you can get some lunch and a cocktail and walk around if the weather allows. Great service and so fast and nice people. Food was good. Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was so great and the fries are perfectly seasoned. Would have liked to have my lemonade cocktail glass full as it seemed a little low from the rim when I got it. read more

Seriously one of my favorite places to eat- I come here pretty frequently. You can always expect a fantastic meal when you come to Worth. Their sandwiches are fantastic. Their crispy chicken sandwich is genuinely one of the best I've ever had. The workers are also always so nice and customer service here is awesome. The restaurant is always nice and clean and they have plenty of outside seats to enjoy cool weather. I came today for their Bobs Burgers pop up that they do every year. I came last year as well. Their burgers were delicious! read more

Hi Shelby,…
What a lovely lunch spot. My friend Angela is a good sport trying out all the nice places I see on Yelp. This one had good reviews, and as it turned out it was amazing. Very busy but efficient systems for ordering and serving. You order in line and then the food is brought out in "to go". Friendly staff. Water and glasses available for all. The packaging made it nice of you do not finish your order. The French dip was delicious w amazing au jus: a nice serving size. Seating indoor and an outdoor patio. Food was served quick and warm. Prices reasonable with good portions. We had side salads but the French fries looked yummy. Parking near by it parallel on the street. We will be back!! read more
Their sandwiches are legit. The place is really cute, too. Their staff was unfortunately stiff and unwelcoming, but oh, well. I approached the counter to try to decide what to get. I was asking the cashier some questions about their sandwiches, but I felt rushed, so I just made a choice. I also asked about some Yelp check-in offer I'd seen a while ago, but she made me feel awkward for asking, so I just ordered and stepped aside. I tried to pay with a Visa gift card, but it didn't work, and she didn't offer to help or anything. She just gave me a look that was like "pay and leave already." She didn't feel like a very nice person. I went with the chicken salad sandwich and a side salad, plus a cup of tomato soup. I will say that the sandwich was top-notch. It's small, but packs a lot of flavors and ingredients. It comes with sourdough bread, and I didn't ask if you could try it with a different type, but I'd be curious. I loved that it didn't have mayo at all, but instead has a vinegary taste to it with fantastic cheese to boot. The side salad was straight basura. I took one bite and chucked it. It tasted rotten. The tomato soup was standard. I enjoyed how thick it was. The size of the cup is kind of rude based on how much you are paying. Overall, I loved the sandwich, but I don't think I'd return just for that. read more

This was in yelp's top100, so we decided we had to go!! Great service, great food, fun atmosphere!! Went here on a Friday evening, instantly were greeted by very friendly ladies at the front updating us about the special of the day and that there were paper menus at the front. Got the grilled cheese, crispy chicken, and the turkey bacon club with crispy spicy sweet bacon added. ALSO LOVED THE ROOT BEER!! it's made in house and it brought me back to childhood . the church street hazy was good too! FAVORITE BY FAR OF SANDOS WAS CRISPY CHICKEN!!! That honey sriracha on top was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! The soup with the grilled cheese was fun to dip the fries and potato chips in which are also made in house. read more

I came here with a friend for dinner on the patio. I hadn't been here before but the menu looks pretty tasty. I loved that the menu had both of my favorite sandwiches, that's a rare sight to see. Despite my favorites both being on the menu, the special today caught my eye. It was a chicken, pepper Jack, aioli, with green chili or poblano peppers on a hoagie with fries. It also came with chicken broth for dipping. It was a nice combo of flavors and textures. Well done! I would come here again to try one of my favorite sandwiches next time for sure. The mac looks tasty as well. Yum! read more

Worth Takeaway lives up to the name. It's the perfect lunchtime spot-- for takeaway or dine in-- it's definitely worth the drive. The menu offers a nice selection of both hot and cold sandwiches for all kinds of cravings. Every sandwich comes with a side of fries, potato chips or greens. The fries I had were a tad cold but that didn't take away from the fact that they were well-seasoned and crispy. I split a chicken bacon and ranch and an Italian grinder. Of the two the chicken sandwich really shined: juicy chicken, juicy tomato, and thick cut bacon, how could you go wrong? On this particular visit they sadly ran out of the brioche bun that usually accompanies the chicken sandwich but the ciabatta was a surprisingly good substitute. I'm not too crazy for cold sandwiches but the Italian grinder was well put together and had a hefty amount of deli meat on it. Can't wait to return to try the other enticing menu items; I love the fact that the sandwiches can be turned into wraps, salads, or hashes. Looks like they really have something for everyone here. read more

Wow really happy with the Yelp recommendation for this restaurant as I was not disappointed at all! Came during lunch rush so there was a bit of a line but it moves super quickly. When there was a longer line the manager or owner was walking around with a scanner so you could order with her instead of the register to speed up the process. After reading plenty of reviews I KNEW I had to get the crispy chicken sandwich. I was really craving bacon so I ended up getting the chicken bacon ranch with a side of fries (and ranch on the side). The sandwiches run you $15.5 up but they come with a side of fries, salad, or house made chips. Since it was a warm day I also got their starlite lemonade and it was so refreshing! I recommend trying as you can't really taste the alcohol with the different fruit syrups. We opted for the outdoor space (only the gated part is where you can have alcohol) but they have plenty of seating there and in their indoor space. Their indoors space is smaller but they have really cute decor full of west elm furniture and even some snacks you can buy. Within 15 minutes out sandwiches and fries came out piping hot and I chowed down! The chicken was bigger than the soft bread it came with and had a nice thin coating that stuck with each bite. Chicken was piping hot but super tender without being dry. It's more of a flat chicken piece which worked out well since you could get a bit of everything with each bite. Plenty of bacon pieces as well (they don't skimp) and plenty of ranch! You could easily save half but I scarfed down the entire thing because it was THAT GOOD. The fries were on the thicker side as well and had a nice crisp but super tender in the middle. Definitely get the fries. haha. The woman that took our order also noticed my birthday was coming up and threw in a free banana bread pudding to end our meal - so nice thank you! Banana bread pudding had a great consistency and wasn't too sweet or banana-y in case you don't like that flavor. Staff was excellent, service quick, and food was wonderful. I would come back again based on this visit! read more

Hi Jennifer,…
Tried out the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and it is hands down the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The honey sriracha sauce is perfect if you're into that kind of sweet & spicy combo. The chicken is crispy and goes very well with the bun - which isn't too dry or too thick but the perfect ratio to the chicken. The fries, who would've guessed, are ALSO crispy and flavorful as well. I'll have to convince myself to not re-order this sandwich again next time and try something new. The restaurant itself is simple and modern with indoor and outdoor seating (umbrellas are present outside on the patio). It is inviting and clean. The service is just okay. Could be better, could be worse - nothing special. The food is 100% where its at. read more
