Gotta drop it down a star. The 1st time I went the coffee was not good. I didn't hold it against them, it wasn't really high up on my priority list. But I went again today and both me and my wife noticed the coffee was terrible again. It tastes like, like weeks coffee mixed in with this week and they never cleaned the coffee makers, like ever. I'm not a coffee snob. I love diner coffee. But this is bad. Again the food was good. I had the fluffy krabby Benedict and it was delicious. My wife had the full mess and loved it. Food is really good! Staff was friendly and good! No notes on staff. Perfection.

Breakfast Salad. Best salad I've ever seen, not one piece of lettuce

TC Eggington's is one of those places where the food, service, and atmosphere all align perfectly, which is likely why it's always packed and people keep coming back, like me. *Food: the menu is huge (seriously huge), with an incredible variety of options, and everything is consistently high-quality. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and dishes that actually taste as good as they look. I have a love hate relationship with trying new things, but here, you can't go wrong, everything is excellent and there's no regrets changing it up occasionally, you'll find many favorites. Check out the pics of our 3 items. *Service: service is excellent across the board. Friendly, prompt, attentive, and exactly what you want in a busy breakfast spot without feeling pushy or rushed. Even when the place is slammed, they keep things moving without making you feel rushed. *Atmosphere: The feeling once seared is warm and comfortable, definitely bustling, but not chaotic, and it feels like one of those local gems you can count on to "feel good" every single time. You'll likely have to wait for a table, especially on weekends, but the food is worth it. I do have one significant complaint: there simply aren't enough restrooms. They have a single-person bathroom for a restaurant that can easily hold 100+ people. When they're busy (and they usually are), it becomes a real bottleneck, or a real blocker when you need a facility. It doesn't ruin the experience, but it's noticeable, so plan ahead if you're "regular",...can't believe I just write that in a review :-) *Overall: excellent food, excellent service, huge menu, consistent quality, and a comfortable atmosphere. You'll wait for a table and if you don't time it right you'll wait for the bathroom, but everything else hits the mark. Absolutely love this place.

T.C. Eggington's is a fantastic breakfast and lunch spot in Mesa. The food, service, and updated atmosphere all make it well worth a visit. I ordered the Country Fried Chicken with scrambled eggs and potatoes, and everything was cooked perfectly. The gravy on the country fried steak was especially good--rich, flavorful, and just the right consistency. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned well. Overall, a great breakfast that felt hearty and satisfying. Prices were totally fair and comparable to other local breakfast places, especially considering the quality and portion size. They also have a wide variety of options to choose from--omelets, skillets, pancakes, sandwiches, eggs benedict, and more. There's something on the menu for everyone, whether you're in the mood for savory or sweet. They recently did a remodel inside, and it looks great. The space feels fresh, clean, and updated while still keeping that cozy breakfast vibe. It's a comfortable and welcoming place to sit down and enjoy a meal. Definitely a go-to spot for breakfast or brunch in Mesa. I'll be coming back to try more from the menu.

Candied bacon

Came for breakfast and tried their candied sweet and spice bacon omg was that so delicious probably my favorite thing. My best friend and I each got the eggs Benedict she got the farmer and I got the classic. And we shared both. One thing I noticed is the hollandaise sauce gets lost idk why I just did not really taste it and hollandaise sauce is one of my favorite things on a Benedict. The home fries did not seem to have any seasoning so just some potatoes. Brandon was friendly and our order came quickly . The rest of the staff was also friendly and overall we did enjoy our time

Another Delicious Brunch find, T.C. Eggington's is coming up on almost 40 years in business. Newly remodeled and ready to welcome you all in with some exciting new menu items. Spacious dining room seating and excellent customer service. The food was hot & fresh, great quality and presentation. Definitely worth checking out.

Red Velvet Waffle

I hadn't been here since I was a teenager and I stopped in when visiting Arizona last week. The food was great. Really enjoyed the red velvet waffles (which are gluten free!) We were seated right away and the service was attentive.

Croquet Monsieur was delish! (Ask for more sauce on the side)
Dee B.

Excellent friendly service. We were greeted right away with a warm smile and asked if we visited before and since we just moved to the state we had not! Our server arrived to our table immediately noted that she was told that it was our first time and "welcome!"This says a lot about the attentiveness of the staff at this location in Mesa. The coffee is good and OJ is served in a tall glass! Husband found finally found a place that has black olives for his omelette! The omelette is awesome. I saw some yelpers did not eat the potatoes and I was hesitant to try them because I thought they were dehydrated, but they are delicious with nice crisp edges and they were very well seasoned. Croquet Monsieur Had generous portions of ham and is well made. Having been to France and Paris, I was expecting the sauce to be on top, but found it underneath just on top of the generous portion of French bread. The sauce was tasty, but it would've liked more of it, but the amount was perfect for most peoples tastes. I think I'll ask for a little sauce on the side next time to pour over it!! All in all, I had to MAKE myself STOP eating the delicious generous portion size. (I stopped at like 2 bites left!) The French bread was so delicious and so fresh ! The apple jelly is THE BEST IVE EVER HAD!!!

Stopped in for a quick breakfast cuz it was near my Airbnb and looked good. I definitely got in before the Sunday breakfast crowd so I got seated and served quickly. Very cute on the inside, plenty of parking outside and a patio! My server was great! I loved my country fried steak plate, so filling and just what i wanted! I would definitely go back if I'm in the area !

Watered down coffee.
Arvie L.

Ever since I was born my family took me to T.C. Eggington's. Every time was a joyous experience until the new owner took over. Smaller food portions, coffee was watered down immensely, wait time was long for seating and wait time for food was over twice as long with no heads up, and the smile on the waiters? Wiped. Gone from them. This place used to be amazing, but from the 20 years of me being here. This has got to be the worst experience I have ever had. Sure the atmosphere was alright but it did not live up to what it used to be. People say change is nice, but for T.C. Eggington's? Shame. Never coming again. Very sad.

I was celebrating my birthday at a Hilton hotel near Golfland. I wanted to get breakfast somewhere and T. C. Eggington's was the highest rated place that was nearby. Drove over there with my girlfriend and bestfriend and we ordered a bunch of food. The waiter was quick and attentive. You could see other waiters being very attentive for other tables. The people were really nice and the place had this nice cozy morning vibe. The food was priced nicely and the quality of the food was amazing. My bacon avocado grilled was super delicious and every dish had a side of potato's. Definitely worth more than the price we paid for. I would definitely recommend to a friend!

No specific complaint, just a lackluster experience. Food was fine but I was generally underwhelmed.

Great breakfast spot! I have been several times over the years with family and friends. I really like the atmosphere, it has a cool farm feel. The service is consistently good. Now for the food, on this trip, I got the breakfast tacos(opted for no chorizo), the chilaquiles to share, and my husband got the French toast. The tacos were actually great, I really liked the green sauce , which tastes like an avocado cilantro salsa. I personally was not crazy about the chilaquiles, the red sauce had a chipotle taste to it, which I was not really expecting . My husband enjoyed his French toast, I didn't get to try it since I was so stuffed! I also got a hazelnut latte to drink, the flavor was great, but a bit too sweet for me. I'd really like to come back and try some of their lunch items next time.

Are small dogs allowed on the patio?

I just phoned TC Eggington's (4-26-26) and they confirmed that small dogs are indeed allowed on their outdoor patio only, not allowed inside.

Does anyone have an Eggington's biscuits and gravy copy cat recipe you'd be willing to share? I might have to fly here from California just for this.

then fly over LOL.

We arrived for breakfast and the place was packed. Even so, we were seated within a few minutes. Menus were brought for us to peruse. For a starter we both had a large glass of cranberry juice. $3. Emphasis should be on the word large, as in most places you would get a small glass for the same price. Companion ordered the "Fresh Start", which is a big bowl of oatmeal which comes with cranberries, raisins, walnuts, brown sugar, and milk ($6). Companion was unable to finish it all. For myself, I had the Hawaiian omelet which had ham, bacon, pineapple, and mozzarella cheese. While I must admit I have never before had an omelet with these ingredients, it was delicious and big. I could not finish it all. The coffee was bottomless and the service was excellent. Unlike many other places that serve breakfast, we were made to feel truly at home, with friendly people all around. We will be going back again and again, possibly for lunch next time. This is a new favorite place to eat for us. Sanitation was good and food came out quickly. 5 stars.

We had to wait a bit to get seated. I decided to try their biscuit and gravy with bacon and 2 eggs over easy. The bacon was kinda chewy with unrendered fat which was a turnoff. Even bigger disappointment was the biscuits and gravy. The gravy tasted so odd and off putting and the biscuits were huge but very dry and fell apart. Had a bite of hubby's French toast and it was the worst I've ever had. If they weren't so busy I probably would have mentioned something to the server but really wasn't in the mood. Still love the theme of this restaurant but the food was a major letdown today. Service was not the greatest probably due to how busy it was.
