Service - so kind! Vibe - simple and cute! a smaller place so may be tough to get a seat inside on a busy day Lemonade - sweet but delicious, cut it with iced tea for a refreshing Arnold Palmer Crispy Chicken Sandwich - pounded thin chicken, the sriracha honey is incredible, love the soft bread. Absolutely amazing Burger - my boyfriend got this and said that the burger was a bit dry and that all the juice was just falling out onto the plate. He didn't think it was special so probably would skip. Chips - Good texture and crunch. I think could use a little something MORE maybe a little more seasoning Chocolate Chip Cookie - Fantastic texture, soft on the inside but holds together, could be a little sweeter but I actually enjoyed it a lot. Sea salt is a great touch Pricing - on the mid-higher side. $50 total for 2 people of everything above with 2 drinks. My boyfriend said if they gave fries with the food instead of chips it would elevate the experience a lot but Ik a lot is changing with food costs so I get it. Overall I would definitely return to try other sandwiches!

Breakfast Crispy (fried chicken breakfast sandwich)

Mikey S.

The overall flavor of the sandwich was good, primarily carried by the sriracha mayo. The quality of the chicken was poor though. While it was juicy and breaded nicely, the actual chicken breast meat was under-seasoned and had an odd texture. When I took bite the meat was almost crunchy/rubbery. It just wasn't pleasant. I feel this can be fixed if they switch to thigh meat instead of breast.

6/25/26 First visit. After court Sandy and I headed to Main Street looking for breakfast please I bookmarked. Worthy Takeaway was in our sights to try. Parking 5/5 Arrived close to 9 am and we parked just east on Robson where plenty street spaces were available. Atmosphere 4/5 The dining room is a work in progress having added seating after being a takeout business only hence the name worthy of taking away. Walks have been removed opening up the space. It's a cute option for downtown food. Service 5/5 This is a counter order business. Grab menus bring them to your table. Head to the counter and place your orders. Food is delivered to your table. Fast and friendly service. Food 5/5 We both ordered the breakfast burritos, coffee and iced tea and a homemade banana pudding dessert. The burritos had country style potatoes, eggs and bacon. They came with a light verde salsa. The burritos hit the spot, we're hearty and filling. Worthy Takeaway or dining in my friend's-SYOY!

*Really* great service. High quality food and ingredients. Clean, small eating area and patio. Enjoyed the Turkey and arugula sandwich.

This was our first time trying Worth Takeaway. Well, no pun intended...It was definitely Worth it. When we entered the restaurant, we were pleasantly greeted by the staff behind the counter. As my eyes glanced across the restaurant, I felt it was an opened and very clean environment. It had tall white walls, a pale green tile counter with subtle gold accents and three pictures hanging on the wall. Behind the counter, there was a sign that read "Great day for a pint of ice cream or a pint of beer." The restaurant is small inside. But there's plenty of seating outside. The restaurant holds about 40 customers with their inside and outside seating. The sandwiches are absolutely fantastic! My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich and I had the crispy chicken sandwich. I tried to bite of his buffalo chicken sandwich with their house made buffalo sauce and a evenly pounded chicken breast. It was topped with coleslaw and in-house made ranch dressing. My crispy chicken consisted of an evenly pounded chicken breast, lettuce, mayonnaise, and the most delicious pickles I do believe I've ever tasted! When I asked our fantastic server about the pickles being made in house, she stated yes the pickles, all the sauces and dressings except for mayonnaise and ketchup were made from scratch. We each got a salad. It consisted of mixed greens, tomatoes, and was dressed in the most amazing house vinaigrette. We also split a chocolate chip cookie that was garnished with sea salts. It too was fantastic. We will definitely be going back to this restaurant. My husband even made a comment that he's going back tomorrow because this location is close to where he works. He wants to try one of their hamburgers next. Thank you to the entire staff at Worth Takeaway for a wonderful experience.

I went back the other day to try their limited time fish sandwich, and when I say it was the soggiest fish sandwich I've ever eaten, I am not lying. The breading was sopping wet and made eating it so unpleasant. The worst part was I paid 18$ for it, with a side of chips(fries would have been more). I was very disappointed. Their whole menu is honestly overpriced. Kind of disappointing what's become of this place. Edit: wasn't sure how to reply to the owner's comment, but I did eat it there, and the very first bite the sandwich fell apart. Honestly, I couldn't taste the fish at all, the flavor from the oil overwhelmed everything else. And you're right I have no problem paying more for quality, but at least for this sandwich it wasn't there.

The best restaurant on Main Street! This eatery is fresh, yummy and healthy!! Really great iced tea and wild tonic !!!!! Yaaaayy hard to find The cookies are yummy too! The grandma one! Also for Halloween they do their bobs burger theme and it's the absolute greatest!!

Came in this morning for breakfast to check the place out for first time. I liked the decor of the restaurant. It gave me a clean farmhouse feel. Very comfortable and clean. I ordered the Cali Breakfast Burrito. In the menu it said it was $15.00. When the cashier rang it up it came up as $16.95? Ummmm okay! I decided to not say anything and just hope for a big old burrito to enjoy. Unfortunately that's not what I received. It was in the slim side for sure and had more fries than meat inside. I was hoping for a little more steak. I did however rather enjoy the green tomatillo salsa that was served with it. It was only enough for half of the burrito. So my overall "take away" for what it's "worth" is it was 3 stars good not 5 stars great. But I can check it off my list of places I wanted to try.

Chicken veggie hash, fries, Cuban sandwich. Side of Mac & cheese - TO GO

Christina M.

It's been a while since I've been to Worth, it's a cute place with good food. The people that work there are friendly. I was at Tuesday night trivia across the street and needed some dinner, decided Worth is good and it's been a while. I followed suit with the name, and did takeaway to bring our food to trivia. I split the order with my partner. I liked the Cuban sandwich, fries, and Mac n' cheese. The chicken veggie hash was fairly bland and I wished that I had tried something else. Wah, wah but that's okay, some things just don't hit the spot. Overall, Worth is a really solid place for sandwiches when I've come here.

Michael W.

Worth Takeaway? Worth it! Been coming to this spot for more than six years now. I'm surprised I have written about this place before. I'm a huge fan of their hot honey chicken sandwiches but recently, I had their weekly special of a steak and bleu cheese sandwich and whoa. It was a great sandwich. I had it with fries and had their Jim Bob's Grandma's Cookie (oatmeal, butterscotch, chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans) afterwards for dessert. It was a great meal after having since ciders. It's a believe DT Mesa gem and for good reason. The staff has always been friendly and the vibes are great clean gender neutral bathrooms, fun chocolates and books to purchase, and a great meal awaits. It's a cozy spot so don't come with a large party.

I'm always intimidated by downtown Mesa parking but I saw a crunch wrap on Worth Takeaway's menu and had to have it. I ordered online and was able to find parking quickly! Worth Takeaway has a nice patio out front and even around 130ish there were 4 or 5 people eating out there. My order was ready quickly and packaged very nicely! I chose fries as my side and noticed the online ordering offered a fries without seasoning option which I'm sure is appreciated by some. The crunch wrap was delicious! It came with a side of "hot sauce" but I preferred a hotter one I have at home. And the fries were great -- very fresh and definitely "homemade". They even packed a little to go cup of ketchup which was very thoughtful. I also got a cup of tomato soup and this was excellent. Clearly made in house and had good substance to it. I'll definitely be back!

Yasmin T.

Came here for lunch with my boyfriend! I was super excited to try this place. He got the Cubano which I loved I didn't like my breaded chicken sandwich as much. We did enjoy the Mac and cheese and bread pudding!

Chris S.

It's the only place to stop if you want a legit sandwich when in Mesa. Fast turnaround. Always fresh bread, great ingredients and attention to detail. Inside or outside the place is just cool to be around and makes you feel at ease. They have great monthly specials, once I had the Cuban which was wooooooooo manufique! The fried chicken sandwich is the go to. The Italian is sweet. Also bonus: the chips are homemade and really good. I stop by EVERY time I'm in town. Also, get the iced tea. Have fun and thank me later! :)

Great little sandwich shop in downtown Mesa. We were going to takeaway but it was so nice and cool that we stayed to eat in this tiny establishment. My sister and I shared two sandwiches--the chicken salad and the cuban--both excellent. The chicken salad is not the usual mayonnaise-laden combination but a bit light lighter with olive oil and a light tasting blue-cheese dressing. The cuban had the best shredded pork with sweet/spicy pickles. Loved them both. Homemade chips are a must but easily shared between 2-4. And the banana pudding is a so good! The sandwiches are quite filling so we ended up taking home extras which was also a treat. Nice service and staff. Will definitely return. read more

This was a spot I found on yelp and I'm glad I did. The food is delicious and the staff woman I met was very kind and welcoming. It had a nice little casual small environment to it. The only thing you may run into is that I had trouble finding parking but I was in hurry so I didn't look that well. Still it's close to the light rail I believe so that might not be much of an issue. read more

So, I decided today that I needed to jump on the Yelp bandwagon! I saw a "meh" review by another reviewer and thought I needed to put in my FIVE STARS review. I have been going to Worth Takeaway since they opened. Not only is the food amazing but the owners and team there are professional and committed to a positive environment and dining experience. I absolutely love the chicken veggie hash, the Cuban, Crispy Chicken and, of course, the banana pudding. Off the charts great food, great service and great people. There's a reason the restaurant is in the Top 20 of the Nation's best places to eat put out by Yelp! Keep it up guys AND don't let the loner throw you off your groove! read more

Just attended a two day function in Mesa, both days were catered by Worth. I couldn't wait for day two just to enjoy the food again. Actually at the end of day two we decided to go to the restaurant for dinner also. Get this, you can stop at the Oro brewery just a couple doors east, get a great beer and Worth will deliver right to your table. That is awesome. Menu is short, everything is delicious.. Well.... Worth takeaway is outstanding! Unassuming frontage, but you know you got the prize when you step inside. Pastrami Croque Madam and Reuben are both unbelievable. The Reuben is a bit non traditional with pastrami and havarti, but they make their own sauerkraut, and it's terrific. The owner, Kelsey, took time to talk with us, and was very generous with sharing samples of the pickles, red cabbage, almond milk... All things made on-site. The pork for the Cuban sandwich wasnt ready when we ordered, but after our meal, it was ready and Kelsey have us a sample... Wow! The menu is simple and short compressed to other places... But those other places are surely trading quality for quantity. The nitro cold brew coffee was a unique beverage, foamy and creamy, a wonderful surprise. Ciabatta bread is locally sourced, and deserves mention, as any sandwich lover knows that is the foundation of a great sandwich. Seek out this restaurant, it is worth the hunt. read more

Read about this in the paper . . . had to give it a try. It was so delightful to enter this quaint, clean establishment. I had the chicken salad sandwich . . . it was not your typical mayo type chicken salad . . . the flavors just melted in your mouth and the bread is worth the carbs! Instead of charging $2.00 for a 12 ounce bottle of water . . . it is complimentary . . . with that said . . . YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS 21ST CENTURY AWESOME PLACE! I intend to go back to eventually try everything on the menu. read more

Owners (blonde hair lady + man) were rude when we asked them about the shop, almost like it was inconvenience to them, like who were we to ask them a question, as if we weren't good enough. (They didn't know we were standing there and could see their reaction.) You know for someone who's shop is open BECAUSE of the public supporting them you would think they would be decent human beings with a friendly attitude. The only thing that made the shop get two stars was the serving sizes and the brown haired lady who was taking the orders. Disappointed read more

The service was good, I didn't get her name, a younger woman waited on me and she was very kind and did the best she could. The food came out super slow, I ordered empanadas to start, the waitress said they burned the first order (I appreciated that didn't just serve me overdone empanadas lol) once they finally arrived they were just unfortunately bland, and just kind of lacked authenticity. When she finally brought out my main dish, she even apologized for the wait and said "I had to go yell at them". For a main entree I ordered the French dip with onion rings, another reviewer mentioned they were the best they had had. The meat was kind of tough and dry (which is odd for a French Dip, and everything just lacked flavor. Even the au jus really had no kind of salt or much flavor to it. I really hoped after seeing how everyone else rated this place that I had found that little hole in the wall spot putting out killer food that we all long for, sadly this wasn't it.

Once a year, as Halloween casts its enchanting spell, Worth Takeaway in Mesa, AZ, undergoes a magical transformation, emerging as the whimsical and beloved Jim Bob's Burgers pop-up. This annual celebration, themed around the vibrant era of the 80s this year, is a gastronomic time capsule that takes you on a delightful journey back in time, infused with the charm and wit of the iconic Bob's Burgers show. The metamorphosis of the restaurant into the world of Bob's Burgers is a spectacle to behold. The decorations, costumes, and unique merchandise create an ambiance that's a harmonious blend of nostalgia, fun, and culinary creativity. It's like stepping into a lively comic strip, where every corner bursts with character and color. The menu, staying true to the punny essence of Bob's Burgers, offers an array of inventive burgers that are as delightful to read as they are to devour. Priced around $14, with sides ranging from $6-10, the offerings are a tribute to the spirited inventiveness of the 80s. My companion's choice, the 'Fast Time at Westwood High', was a daring fusion of two 4oz patties, Cool Ranch ranch dressing, Cool Ranch Doritos, and white cheddar cheese. This creation was a playful nod to the iconic flavors of the decade, a burger that was as fun as it was flavorful. My own selection, the 'Breddie Murphy's Dill-Erious', was a testament to culinary creativity. Two 4oz patties, crowned with a cascade of dill pickles, dill caper cream cheese spread, and pickled shoestring potatoes, created a harmony of tangy, creamy, and crispy textures that was nothing short of a flavor symphony. To complement the culinary adventure, I indulged in the 'Weekend at Bob's', a fruit punch sour beer crafted in collaboration with The Shop Beer Co in Tempe. Its sweet, slightly tart profile was a refreshing accompaniment to the robust flavors of the burger, perfect for the warm Arizona day. The staff, embodying the spirit of Bob's Burgers, were the heart of the experience. Their friendly, engaging demeanor and passion for the event contributed significantly to the high-energy, fun-filled atmosphere. Even at the early hour of 9:30 AM, the enthusiasm and joy were palpable among the guests and staff alike. The anticipation for next year's event is already bubbling within me, a yearning for another immersive journey into the whimsical world of Bob's Burgers, replete with innovative burgers, refreshing brews, and an ambiance that radiates pure joy. read more

Collaboration with Lil Miss BBQ and their pretzel bun, with cheese sauce sandwich was my absolute favorite of favorites, really it can't get any more favorite. Might put it in the category of favorite food of all time....and I've been around a long time. Thanks once again Worth. This can't be sustainable! Putting out creative awesomeness every single week. This weeks special of Brie grilled cheese was over the top, the only thing better was finishing it off with the Brioche bread pudding. Still licking my lips. Didn't think they could improve but I am blown away with the blackberry barbecue sauce crispy chicken with golden raisin slaw sandwich. I'm in love love love love love. Thank you WORTH you make my mouth so happy! Hands down the best Cuban I've ever eaten. I loved how fresh the food was, and their absolute dedication to buying local. Jim Bob's house made pickles are amazing, the banana pudding is legendary. read more

Our first experience at this little gem. I was going to the comedy place nearby and we stopped in Worth beforehand. There were 6 of us total. The counter staff was extremely friendly & patient with our questions. Seating for 6 can be a challenge there but the staff helped add chairs to accommodate us. The food was really good. One of the meats on one of the sandwiches was not up to the quality of the others (overcooked). I did consume it so no issue. I figured it to be a one off based on the other sandwiches and hearing all the positive comments from neighboring diners. You can tell when a restaurant isn't solely driven by its bottom line & adds love, kindness & sincere customer care to its menu. I love independent establishments that put their heart & soul into the dining experience. We will be back! read more

I have never had a consistent great experience here. Sandwiches read with great flavor profiles but always seem to fail in simple execution. Had a Cuban once flavors were there but hardly any meat .. it was dry as a bone. A different time I went with my daughter honestly don't remember what I had but the experience was similar. Had the Italian style one.. was the best one I had it actually tasted good a little sweet but my complaint was a really cold bun and not like room temperature cold it was like refrigerated cold. As a whole I've just given up I wanted to like here always heard good things .. but at this point 3 very different times all similar experiences.. all the quality is there none of the execution. read more

I ventured to Worth Takeaway for lunch on a weekday and was surprised at how busy it can get in there! The fried chicken sandwich was perfectly crispy and so juicy. All their sandwiches come with fries, salad, or chips, which the menu doesn't explicitly state. I opted for the fries which came with ketchup.
