It feels very hipster and very retro and it just has so much personality. There is a lot of outdoor seating in what is essentially a front yard. There are tables and string lights and lots of trees and there are even a couple of playground horses. When you walk in there is a hostess desk kind of pieced together with different pieces of furniture and above it is a turning disco ball. Could there be anything better? There are booths all the way around, and there are no tables - - but you can sit at the long counter and watch your food being made. That really is the best place to sit because it is so interesting to watch them. It's amazing to me that they can keep all those balls in the air and still make all this food so delicious. There is a small bar off to one side. Make sure you go to the bathroom. The bathroom is nothing special, just a room full of graffiti and stickers, but if you look up you'll see the ceiling covered with little pinatas and a little donkey in the hallway. The menu is just what you would think for a diner menu. You can order breakfast or some sandwiches, burgers, Mac and cheese, and there is a selection of dinner entrees. Sitting at the counter we saw a plate with a steak being prepared and it looked absolutely fantastic. We were not really very hungry, and just wanted a quick small bite. Have you got that Welcome Burger, and I got the Sasha. Hubby said his Burger was good, although it was quite small. The Sasha has smoked pork and they put the pork on the grill and it becomes a crispy kind of Patty of shredded pork, then they put the crispy shredded pork patty on a noble bun with coleslaw and a fantastic horseradish sauce. Before we could sit down, a waitress abruptly warned us that rain was expected in three minutes, that the dining room had no available seating, and that pets were not allowed inside. We decided to take our chances, retrieved our own menus, and sat outside. More than 10 minutes passed without anyone acknowledging us, despite staff serving other customers. My friend even tapped on the ordering window and was ignored. When the same waitress finally returned, I asked for a Bloody Mary, and she appeared noticeably disappointed that we had decided to stay. Her response was an incredulous, "You're staying???" We explained that we were willing to take our chances with the weather, at which point she informed me that they were out of Bloody Mary mix. I then requested waters. Another 10 minutes passed before she dropped off the waters without taking our order. After another 10 minutes without service, we left, having spent approximately 30 minutes feeling ignored and unwelcome. We found a much better experience across the street, where we enjoyed attentive service, delicious food, and a welcoming dog-friendly patio. I understand that weather, seating limitations, and restaurant policies may be beyond a server's control. How guests are treated is not. Once a year, as Halloween casts its enchanting spell, Worth Takeaway in Mesa, AZ, undergoes a magical transformation, emerging as the whimsical and beloved Jim Bob's Burgers pop-up. This annual celebration, themed around the vibrant era of the 80s this year, is a gastronomic time capsule that takes you on a delightful journey back in time, infused with the charm and wit of the iconic Bob's Burgers show. The metamorphosis of the restaurant into the world of Bob's Burgers is a spectacle to behold. The decorations, costumes, and unique merchandise create an ambiance that's a harmonious blend of nostalgia, fun, and culinary creativity. It's like stepping into a lively comic strip, where every corner bursts with character and color. The menu, staying true to the punny essence of Bob's Burgers, offers an array of inventive burgers that are as delightful to read as they are to devour. Priced around $14, with sides ranging from $6-10, the offerings are a tribute to the spirited inventiveness of the 80s. My companion's choice, the 'Fast Time at Westwood High', was a daring fusion of two 4oz patties, Cool Ranch ranch dressing, Cool Ranch Doritos, and white cheddar cheese. This creation was a playful nod to the iconic flavors of the decade, a burger that was as fun as it was flavorful. My own selection, the 'Breddie Murphy's Dill-Erious', was a testament to culinary creativity. Two 4oz patties, crowned with a cascade of dill pickles, dill caper cream cheese spread, and pickled shoestring potatoes, created a harmony of tangy, creamy, and crispy textures that was nothing short of a flavor symphony. To complement the culinary adventure, I indulged in the 'Weekend at Bob's', a fruit punch sour beer crafted in collaboration with The Shop Beer Co in Tempe. Its sweet, slightly tart profile was a refreshing accompaniment to the robust flavors of the burger, perfect for the warm Arizona day. The staff, embodying the spirit of Bob's Burgers, were the heart of the experience. Their friendly, engaging demeanor and passion for the event contributed significantly to the high-energy, fun-filled atmosphere. Even at the early hour of 9:30 AM, the enthusiasm and joy were palpable among the guests and staff alike. The anticipation for next year's event is already bubbling within me, a yearning for another immersive journey into the whimsical world of Bob's Burgers, replete with innovative burgers, refreshing brews, and an ambiance that radiates pure joy. read more

Collaboration with Lil Miss BBQ and their pretzel bun, with cheese sauce sandwich was my absolute favorite of favorites, really it can't get any more favorite. Might put it in the category of favorite food of all time....and I've been around a long time. Thanks once again Worth. This can't be sustainable! Putting out creative awesomeness every single week. Our first experience at this little gem. I was going to the comedy place nearby and we stopped in Worth beforehand. There were 6 of us total. The counter staff was extremely friendly & patient with our questions. Seating for 6 can be a challenge there but the staff helped add chairs to accommodate us. The food was really good. One of the meats on one of the sandwiches was not up to the quality of the others (overcooked). I did consume it so no issue. I figured it to be a one off based on the other sandwiches and hearing all the positive comments from neighboring diners. I have never had a consistent great experience here. Sandwiches read with great flavor profiles but always seem to fail in simple execution. Had a Cuban once flavors were there but hardly any meat .. it was dry as a bone. A different time I went with my daughter honestly don't remember what I had but the experience was similar. Had the Italian style one.. was the best one I had it actually tasted good a little sweet but my complaint was a really cold bun and not like room temperature cold it was like refrigerated cold. Overall the food was great, and I definitely want to come back.

We liked all the reviews about fresh and unique sandwiches and those reviews were accurate! Ingredients were fresh, quantity was plentiful and the bread outstanding. The potato salad side was delicious and, yes, fresh. The dirty chips were fantastic, too. Not sure why there are so many comments about their prices being high. We felt for what you get for your $, the prices were quite fair. The service was outstanding, as well. The young lady behind the counter could tell this was our first time from us studying the menu board up on the wall so hard. She quickly jumped in offering very helpful, information filled suggestions and recommendations. I look forward to coming back to Boards & Brews if we are ever in the area again.

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more Crackers & Company 535 W Iron Ave Ste 131 Mesa, AZ 85210 I chose to review this restaurant because it is the only place I have ever been to that has an A+ rating from the health department. We arrived near lunch hour and their menu says they serve lunch and breakfast until 2:00. Companion ordered the BLT. It comes with 7 (count them) full slices of bacon. It was so big that 1/2 of the sandwich was boxed up for take out. For a side dish, the loaded potato soup was ordered. Loaded isn't the proper word, as it had loads of bacon, potatoes, cheese, sour cream, and green onions. Companion could not finish it. For myself, I ordered the patty melt. A really big, thick patty cooked just as I asked for it, loaded with grilled onions and a side of beautifully crisp fries on the side. The sandwich was so big that I too had to ask for a box to take half of it and a bunch of the fries home. Of all the patty melts I have ever eaten, this was without a doubt the best one. As many of you know, there is always room for dessert. We ordered a dessert to share. Cinnamon brandied blackberry bread pudding. It came in a big bowl, warm and satisfying with a whipped cream topping. Unfortunately, my tongue wasn't long enough to lick the bottom of the bowl, but it wasn't for lack of trying. Service was spot on, with our needs taken care of very rapidly. Unfortunately, Google has it located in the wrong place on the map. If you are going, it is located directly behind Home Depot. It is my hope Google will correct it soon. This is my new, goto place to eat, and I definitely will be going back again and again. 5 stars for service, food, and cleanliness.

Crackers & Co has been a favorite of mine for years!…read more I've been to the now closed Tempe location numerous times. While the occasional trip to Mesa is fine, I would prefer one closer to Phoenix or Tempe. This location seems a bit odd from the outside. When approaching, it appears to be an office building. Once inside, the familiar C&C Co decor takes over and seems more like a restaurant. The service at this location is as fast and friendly as I remember at the Tempe location. The food is always great. I usually get the irresistible California Eggs Benedict, but opted for a different dish for a change. The Bregger's Omelette was very good and stuffed with fillings. I can never get enough of the Country Potatoes .... they're AMAZING! The White Toast was as expected. While I miss the Tempe location, this one was just as satisfying and plan to return soon.

They have a larger patio space outdoors, which I asked and discovered they are dog friendly so happy to find another venue we can bring the girls to. The patio was still shaded when we left about noon so it's a good spot for pups. Two of our group was already seated when we arrived so we joined them upon arrival. Lisa, our server, immediately came over for drink orders and confirm we were still waiting for others to join. Lisa, was so patient and friendly while the group gathered and decided what to order. I asked for a glass of O.J. which was sans pulp for those who don't like it in their O.J. I prefer some to jazz it up but it was a good glass of juice. They have a good sized menu with both breakfast and lunch offerings, and it took a bit to decide on what we were eating. I decided on the Corned Beef Hash with two eggs over-medium and a pancake. I asked for it on a separate plate and she said no worries, that's how it is served. The hash was sooo good! Cooked to a crispy crust and so flavorful and not salty at all, which I loved because sometimes hash can be salty. It also came with hash browns, which were cooked perfectly and not greasy in the least. I asked for my eggs over-medium and they too were cooked to perfection. It came with one pancake (I chose this in place of toast) and it was good size cake, with a nice malty flavor. It's sprinkled lightly with powder sugar and a dispense of warm syrup was provided as well. Really good breakfast! Wife went with the 2 egg breakfast with bacon and sourdough toast. They serve a wonderful homemade blackberry jam with the toast, which was really good and jammy. She also had her eggs done the same way as me and they were cooked to perfection. The bacon was perfect and she commented about the hash browns being cooked to a crunchy outer and tender on the inside. Everyone else said their meals were just as good and everything looked delicious. Great breakfast find and we will be back! Thank you to all of the staff and cooks!
