Vibe - simple and cute! a smaller place so may be tough to get a seat inside on a busy day Lemonade - sweet but delicious, cut it with iced tea for a refreshing Arnold Palmer Crispy Chicken Sandwich - pounded thin chicken, the sriracha honey is incredible, love the soft bread. Absolutely amazing Burger - my boyfriend got this and said that the burger was a bit dry and that all the juice was just falling out onto the plate. He didn't think it was special so probably would skip. Chips - Good texture and crunch. I think could use a little something MORE maybe a little more seasoning Chocolate Chip Cookie - Fantastic texture, soft on the inside but holds together, could be a little sweeter but I actually enjoyed it a lot. Sea salt is a great touch Pricing - on the mid-higher side. $50 total for 2 people of everything above with 2 drinks. My boyfriend said if they gave fries with the food instead of chips it would elevate the experience a lot but Ik a lot is changing with food costs so I get it. Overall I would definitely return to try other sandwiches!

The overall flavor of the sandwich was good, primarily carried by the sriracha mayo. The quality of the chicken was poor though. While it was juicy and breaded nicely, the actual chicken breast meat was under-seasoned and had an odd texture. When I took bite the meat was almost crunchy/rubbery. It just wasn't pleasant. I feel this can be fixed if they switch to thigh meat instead of breast.

6/25/26 First visit. After court Sandy and I headed to Main Street looking for breakfast please I bookmarked. Worthy Takeaway was in our sights to try. Parking 5/5 Arrived close to 9 am and we parked just east on Robson where plenty street spaces were available. Atmosphere 4/5 The dining room is a work in progress having added seating after being a takeout business only hence the name worthy of taking away. Walks have been removed opening up the space. It's a cute option for downtown food. Service 5/5 This is a counter order business. Grab menus bring them to your table. Head to the counter and place your orders. Food is delivered to your table. Fast and friendly service. Food 5/5 We both ordered the breakfast burritos, coffee and iced tea and a homemade banana pudding dessert. The burritos had country style potatoes, eggs and bacon. They came with a light verde salsa. The burritos hit the spot, we're hearty and filling. Worthy Takeaway or dining in my friend's-SYOY!

This was our first time trying Worth Takeaway. Well, no pun intended...It was definitely Worth it. When we entered the restaurant, we were pleasantly greeted by the staff behind the counter. As my eyes glanced across the restaurant, I felt it was an opened and very clean environment. It had tall white walls, a pale green tile counter with subtle gold accents and three pictures hanging on the wall. Behind the counter, there was a sign that read "Great day for a pint of ice cream or a pint of beer." The restaurant is small inside. But there's plenty of seating outside. The restaurant holds about 40 customers with their inside and outside seating. The sandwiches are absolutely fantastic! My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich and I had the crispy chicken sandwich. I tried to bite of his buffalo chicken sandwich with their house made buffalo sauce and a evenly pounded chicken breast. It was topped with coleslaw and in-house made ranch dressing. My crispy chicken consisted of an evenly pounded chicken breast, lettuce, mayonnaise, and the most delicious pickles I do believe I've ever tasted! When I asked our fantastic server about the pickles being made in house, she stated yes the pickles, all the sauces and dressings except for mayonnaise and ketchup were made from scratch. We each got a salad. It consisted of mixed greens, tomatoes, and was dressed in the most amazing house vinaigrette. We also split a chocolate chip cookie that was garnished with sea salts. It too was fantastic. We will definitely be going back to this restaurant. My husband even made a comment that he's going back tomorrow because this location is close to where he works. He wants to try one of their hamburgers next. Thank you to the entire staff at Worth Takeaway for a wonderful experience.

I went back the other day to try their limited time fish sandwich, and when I say it was the soggiest fish sandwich I've ever eaten, I am not lying. The breading was sopping wet and made eating it so unpleasant. The worst part was I paid 18$ for it, with a side of chips(fries would have been more). I was very disappointed. Their whole menu is honestly overpriced. Kind of disappointing what's become of this place. Edit: wasn't sure how to reply to the owner's comment, but I did eat it there, and the very first bite the sandwich fell apart. Honestly, I couldn't taste the fish at all, the flavor from the oil overwhelmed everything else. And you're right I have no problem paying more for quality, but at least for this sandwich it wasn't there.

Came in this morning for breakfast to check the place out for first time. I liked the decor of the restaurant. It gave me a clean farmhouse feel. Very comfortable and clean. I ordered the Cali Breakfast Burrito. In the menu it said it was $15.00. When the cashier rang it up it came up as $16.95? Ummmm okay! I decided to not say anything and just hope for a big old burrito to enjoy. Unfortunately that's not what I received. It was in the slim side for sure and had more fries than meat inside. I was hoping for a little more steak. I did however rather enjoy the green tomatillo salsa that was served with it. It was only enough for half of the burrito. So my overall "take away" for what it's "worth" is it was 3 stars good not 5 stars great. But I can check it off my list of places I wanted to try.

It's been a while since I've been to Worth, it's a cute place with good food. The people that work there are friendly. I was at Tuesday night trivia across the street and needed some dinner, decided Worth is good and it's been a while. I followed suit with the name, and did takeaway to bring our food to trivia. I split the order with my partner. I liked the Cuban sandwich, fries, and Mac n' cheese. The chicken veggie hash was fairly bland and I wished that I had tried something else. Wah, wah but that's okay, some things just don't hit the spot. Overall, Worth is a really solid place for sandwiches when I've come here.

Worth Takeaway? Worth it! Been coming to this spot for more than six years now. I'm surprised I have written about this place before. I'm a huge fan of their hot honey chicken sandwiches but recently, I had their weekly special of a steak and bleu cheese sandwich and whoa. It was a great sandwich. I had it with fries and had their Jim Bob's Grandma's Cookie (oatmeal, butterscotch, chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans) afterwards for dessert. It was a great meal after having since ciders. It's a believe DT Mesa gem and for good reason. The staff has always been friendly and the vibes are great clean gender neutral bathrooms, fun chocolates and books to purchase, and a great meal awaits. It's a cozy spot so don't come with a large party.

I'm always intimidated by downtown Mesa parking but I saw a crunch wrap on Worth Takeaway's menu and had to have it. I ordered online and was able to find parking quickly! Worth Takeaway has a nice patio out front and even around 130ish there were 4 or 5 people eating out there. My order was ready quickly and packaged very nicely! I chose fries as my side and noticed the online ordering offered a fries without seasoning option which I'm sure is appreciated by some. The crunch wrap was delicious! It came with a side of "hot sauce" but I preferred a hotter one I have at home. And the fries were great -- very fresh and definitely "homemade". They even packed a little to go cup of ketchup which was very thoughtful. I also got a cup of tomato soup and this was excellent. Clearly made in house and had good substance to it. I'll definitely be back!

Came here for lunch with my boyfriend! I was super excited to try this place. He got the Cubano which I loved I didn't like my breaded chicken sandwich as much. We did enjoy the Mac and cheese and bread pudding!

It's the only place to stop if you want a legit sandwich when in Mesa. Fast turnaround. Always fresh bread, great ingredients and attention to detail. Inside or outside the place is just cool to be around and makes you feel at ease. They have great monthly specials, once I had the Cuban which was wooooooooo manufique! The fried chicken sandwich is the go to. The Italian is sweet. Also bonus: the chips are homemade and really good. I stop by EVERY time I'm in town. Also, get the iced tea. Have fun and thank me later! :)

I had the BLT with candied sriracha bacon. It was not my favorite because the bacon is thick cut and not crispy, but all of the components of the sandwich were really high quality and yummy! And I loved the french frys. read more

I got the Cuban and the simple greens which was mixed greens with cherry tomatoes and a vinaigrette, which was also delicious! My fiancé got the grilled cheese and tomato soup which he loved! Have had my sights on this place for awhile and finally had the opportunity to go for the first time earlier today. Must say, wish I would have gone sooner. My girlfriend and I split the crispy chicken sandwich & the Italian grinder. Which was a mistake. Based on the reviews I read, I knew the crispy chicken sandwich was going to be good but I didn't expect it to be holy s**t good. The grinder held its own, a good Italian sandwich, but it's no match for the crispy chicken. Needless to say the reviews didn't lie...it's incredible. All the way from the ciabiatta bread (amazing), sriracha sauce, house made pickles (don't normally care for pickles but wanted to give them a shot), to the juicy, tender chicken....it's phenomenal. I recommend making plans to get yourself one soon. Don't make the same mistake I did, however, keep the other half from your significant other read more

Just went there this morning and what a wonderful little place! I got a breakfast sammie with bacon and an ice cold brew latte while my fiancé got a breakfast burrito and an iced cold brew. All of it was fabulous! The lady who helped us was super sweet and the ambiance was wonderful. We loved the decor, as well! The menu and decor were so well thought out. Worth Takeaway is a small sandwich shop in downtown Mesa. It has seating inside and outside. However, most people want to stay inside due to the heat and it makes the place a little crowded. I highly recommend their chicken salad sandwich and cripsy chicken sandwich. I have heard the Reuben sandwich is also good. I went at 11:30 and it was fairly packed. It got more packed closer to 12pm, but most people in line got it to go. Worth Takeaway is also known for their home brewed sodas, which are delicious! read more

Yummmyyyyyyy!! I can't remember how we stumbled across this place but I'm so glad that we did!! We were instantly greeted by 2 nice gentleman when we walked in. I ordered the turkey sandwich and my husband ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. While I enjoyed mine, I also had a bite of my husband's sandwich and it aaa by far one of the best things I've ever tried! The customer service is incredible and I would drive completely out of my way to support an establishment with great food and such customer service! I highly recommend! read more

This place charmed the crap out of me. It's clean and quaint inside, great outdoor patio seating. The staff was all knowledgeable, amiable, and seemed to each carry a certain passion for the place. The food was so fresh and delicious - the bread especially. There are also refreshing housemade sodas with no artificial flavor, which made me feel less bad about breaking my vow to no more soda. I ordered the spicy chicken, which was incredible and also quite massive, so definitely get your bang for your buck here. I adored everything about this place, and I'd be happy to go back! read more

We always order Worth for lunch at my work and it never disappoints. In fact sometimes we have to "cut ourselves off" so we don't get too burnt out on the same place. But that's a good problem to have. Their spicy pork and buffalo chicken sandwiches are "my jams." read more

Amazing food and refreshingly goes above and beyond in customer service. Something that is incredibly rare these days. I love this place even more now. They forgot a side that we had to go back for and they definitely took care of us. okay this is no joke the best chicken sandwich i've ever had in my life. but, i am always slightly disappointed when i go because they never seem to have the homemade banana pudding, or i guess, enough of it. the last time i went, i was standing in front of the register ordering and asked if they had it, the woman there said they had one single pudding left but it was reserved for an online order. thee biggest bummer that i've eaten here twice now and haven't even tried it. i wish they'd up their batch because it was only 4 pm when i stopped in. clearly it's a seller. read more

Such a great downtown eatery. Cool, hip and food is great! Had salads both times, once w veggies and the other time w the Cuban pork. Both excellent. What's cool is that you can take any sandwich and make it into a salad. The banana pudding is a homemade and while I didn't get it on my last visit, I'm dying to try it. My co-worker devoured his too quickly. House made chips are great and my fellow yelper's have been raving about the breakfast menu too. So I'll have to try that next time. Overall, great, friendly service, excellent food in a cool part of downtown Mesa. Follow them on FB they're always posting updates! read more

Very awesome little place! Service is superb and setting is awesome! I love this place. The food is amazing, uniquely prepared and wonderfully tasty. The regular menu foods are delicious (the buffalo chicken sandwich and grilled cheese are my favorites!). Each each had half of both and both were amazing. Worth issssss so worth it. Yea yea it is on the expensive side but it is worth every penny. I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was just as good as I could imagine. I got a side of their potato chips which were awesome and you shall leave with a cup of their banana pudding or you're wasting your life not having any fun. I mean it! Just a few days later a friend of mine went too and we talked about how we had both wanted to go for such a long time and somehow we both ended up here on the same week! The force was too strong, we had to get with the good stuff! If you're a fried chicken sandwich type of person, do yourself a favor and grab you one. They are incredibly filling. read more

We found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. We are visiting from California. I never write reviews but I just had to for this place because it was that good!!! I had the chicken salad sandwich which was so delicious!!! It had apples and blue cheese and olives and so much flavor. I also had the homemade chips which were so yummy! The food came out super slow, I ordered empanadas to start, the waitress said they burned the first order (I appreciated that didn't just serve me overdone empanadas lol) once they finally arrived they were just unfortunately bland, and just kind of lacked authenticity. When she finally brought out my main dish, she even apologized for the wait and said "I had to go yell at them". For a main entree I ordered the French dip with onion rings, another reviewer mentioned they were the best they had had. The meat was kind of tough and dry (which is odd for a French Dip, and everything just lacked flavor. Even the au jus really had no kind of salt or much flavor to it. I really hoped after seeing how everyone else rated this place that I had found that little hole in the wall spot putting out killer food that we all long for, sadly this wasn't it.

Might put it in the category of favorite food of all time....and I've been around a long time. Thanks once again Worth. This can't be sustainable! Putting out creative awesomeness every single week. This weeks special of Brie grilled cheese was over the top, the only thing better was finishing it off with the Brioche bread pudding. Still licking my lips. Our first experience at this little gem. I was going to the comedy place nearby and we stopped in Worth beforehand. There were 6 of us total. The counter staff was extremely friendly & patient with our questions. Seating for 6 can be a challenge there but the staff helped add chairs to accommodate us. The food was really good. One of the meats on one of the sandwiches was not up to the quality of the others (overcooked). I did consume it so no issue. I figured it to be a one off based on the other sandwiches and hearing all the positive comments from neighboring diners. You can tell when a restaurant isn't solely driven by its bottom line & adds love, kindness & sincere customer care to its menu. I have never had a consistent great experience here. Sandwiches read with great flavor profiles but always seem to fail in simple execution. Had a Cuban once flavors were there but hardly any meat .. it was dry as a bone. A different time I went with my daughter honestly don't remember what I had but the experience was similar. Had the Italian style one.. was the best one I had it actually tasted good a little sweet but my complaint was a really cold bun and not like room temperature cold it was like refrigerated cold. As a whole I've just given up I wanted to like here always heard good things .. but at this point 3 very different times all similar experiences.. all the quality is there none of the execution. read more

Their message is simple "treat people kindly, with respect, create a positive experience for everyone that walks through our doors or orders through us" and they have done it. You are treated like family. The Worth experience is definitely WORTH it. Breakfast is WORTH it, I love the weekly features on Thursdays, The Monday night supper is always a sweet surprise, and there is always room for desert. Mark your calendars every year for the Month of October for the biggest event in Mesa, AZ for the Jim Bob's Burgers event. Fresh ingredients and the ice tea was very refreshing. The chef came out and gave us a free cup of their wonderful bread pudding. That was a nice surprise and it was delicious. Here we have the super satisfying Crispy Chicken sandwich (the gateway sandwich) with homemade sea salt potato chips, a dark cold brew with a splash of homemade cashew almond milk and a refreshing rosemary lemonade! I don't know what happened to this place, but the quality has completely fallen off. The food…read morepresentation, the freshness, and even the basic cooking standards have dropped. They used to serve real, freshly cooked bacon now it's microwave bacon and shortcut cooking across the board. Ever since they extended their hours, it feels like they've been cutting corners to keep up, and the food shows it. The quality has drastically decreased, and it's nothing like what it used to be. I've been a consistent customer for a long time, but I won't be coming back. It's sad to see a place that used to be great start drowning like this.
