Service - so kind! Vibe - simple and cute! a smaller place so may be tough to get a seat inside on a busy day Lemonade - sweet but delicious, cut it with iced tea for a refreshing Arnold Palmer Crispy Chicken Sandwich - pounded thin chicken, the sriracha honey is incredible, love the soft bread. Absolutely amazing Burger - my boyfriend got this and said that the burger was a bit dry and that all the juice was just falling out onto the plate. He didn't think it was special so probably would skip. Chips - Good texture and crunch. I think could use a little something MORE maybe a little more seasoning Chocolate Chip Cookie - Fantastic texture, soft on the inside but holds together, could be a little sweeter but I actually enjoyed it a lot. Sea salt is a great touch Pricing - on the mid-higher side. $50 total for 2 people of everything above with 2 drinks. My boyfriend said if they gave fries with the food instead of chips it would elevate the experience a lot but Ik a lot is changing with food costs so I get it. Overall I would definitely return to try other sandwiches!

Breakfast Crispy (fried chicken breakfast sandwich)

The overall flavor of the sandwich was good, primarily carried by the sriracha mayo. The quality of the chicken was poor though. While it was juicy and breaded nicely, the actual chicken breast meat was under-seasoned and had an odd texture. When I took bite the meat was almost crunchy/rubbery. It just wasn't pleasant. I feel this can be fixed if they switch to thigh meat instead of breast.

6/25/26 First visit. After court Sandy and I headed to Main Street looking for breakfast please I bookmarked. Worthy Takeaway was in our sights to try. Parking 5/5 Arrived close to 9 am and we parked just east on Robson where plenty street spaces were available. Atmosphere 4/5 The dining room is a work in progress having added seating after being a takeout business only hence the name worthy of taking away. Walks have been removed opening up the space. It's a cute option for downtown food. Service 5/5 This is a counter order business. Grab menus bring them to your table. Head to the counter and place your orders. Food is delivered to your table. Fast and friendly service. Food 5/5 We both ordered the breakfast burritos, coffee and iced tea and a homemade banana pudding dessert. The burritos had country style potatoes, eggs and bacon. They came with a light verde salsa. The burritos hit the spot, we're hearty and filling. Worthy Takeaway or dining in my friend's-SYOY!

*Really* great service. High quality food and ingredients. Clean, small eating area and patio. Enjoyed the Turkey and arugula sandwich.

This was our first time trying Worth Takeaway. Well, no pun intended...It was definitely Worth it. When we entered the restaurant, we were pleasantly greeted by the staff behind the counter. As my eyes glanced across the restaurant, I felt it was an opened and very clean environment. It had tall white walls, a pale green tile counter with subtle gold accents and three pictures hanging on the wall. Behind the counter, there was a sign that read "Great day for a pint of ice cream or a pint of beer." The restaurant is small inside. But there's plenty of seating outside. The restaurant holds about 40 customers with their inside and outside seating. The sandwiches are absolutely fantastic! My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich and I had the crispy chicken sandwich. I tried to bite of his buffalo chicken sandwich with their house made buffalo sauce and a evenly pounded chicken breast. It was topped with coleslaw and in-house made ranch dressing. My crispy chicken consisted of an evenly pounded chicken breast, lettuce, mayonnaise, and the most delicious pickles I do believe I've ever tasted! When I asked our fantastic server about the pickles being made in house, she stated yes the pickles, all the sauces and dressings except for mayonnaise and ketchup were made from scratch. We each got a salad. It consisted of mixed greens, tomatoes, and was dressed in the most amazing house vinaigrette. We also split a chocolate chip cookie that was garnished with sea salts. It too was fantastic. We will definitely be going back to this restaurant. My husband even made a comment that he's going back tomorrow because this location is close to where he works. He wants to try one of their hamburgers next. Thank you to the entire staff at Worth Takeaway for a wonderful experience.

I went back the other day to try their limited time fish sandwich, and when I say it was the soggiest fish sandwich I've ever eaten, I am not lying. The breading was sopping wet and made eating it so unpleasant. The worst part was I paid 18$ for it, with a side of chips(fries would have been more). I was very disappointed. Their whole menu is honestly overpriced. Kind of disappointing what's become of this place. Edit: wasn't sure how to reply to the owner's comment, but I did eat it there, and the very first bite the sandwich fell apart. Honestly, I couldn't taste the fish at all, the flavor from the oil overwhelmed everything else. And you're right I have no problem paying more for quality, but at least for this sandwich it wasn't there.

Crystal R.

The best restaurant on Main Street! This eatery is fresh, yummy and healthy!! Really great iced tea and wild tonic !!!!! Yaaaayy hard to find The cookies are yummy too! The grandma one! Also for Halloween they do their bobs burger theme and it's the absolute greatest!!

Came in this morning for breakfast to check the place out for first time. I liked the decor of the restaurant. It gave me a clean farmhouse feel. Very comfortable and clean. I ordered the Cali Breakfast Burrito. In the menu it said it was $15.00. When the cashier rang it up it came up as $16.95? Ummmm okay! I decided to not say anything and just hope for a big old burrito to enjoy. Unfortunately that's not what I received. It was in the slim side for sure and had more fries than meat inside. I was hoping for a little more steak. I did however rather enjoy the green tomatillo salsa that was served with it. It was only enough for half of the burrito. So my overall "take away" for what it's "worth" is it was 3 stars good not 5 stars great. But I can check it off my list of places I wanted to try.

Chicken veggie hash, fries, Cuban sandwich. Side of Mac & cheese - TO GO

Christina M.

It's been a while since I've been to Worth, it's a cute place with good food. The people that work there are friendly. I was at Tuesday night trivia across the street and needed some dinner, decided Worth is good and it's been a while. I followed suit with the name, and did takeaway to bring our food to trivia. I split the order with my partner. I liked the Cuban sandwich, fries, and Mac n' cheese. The chicken veggie hash was fairly bland and I wished that I had tried something else. Wah, wah but that's okay, some things just don't hit the spot. Overall, Worth is a really solid place for sandwiches when I've come here.

Michael W.

Worth Takeaway? Worth it! Been coming to this spot for more than six years now. I'm surprised I have written about this place before. I'm a huge fan of their hot honey chicken sandwiches but recently, I had their weekly special of a steak and bleu cheese sandwich and whoa. It was a great sandwich. I had it with fries and had their Jim Bob's Grandma's Cookie (oatmeal, butterscotch, chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans) afterwards for dessert. It was a great meal after having since ciders. It's a believe DT Mesa gem and for good reason. The staff has always been friendly and the vibes are great clean gender neutral bathrooms, fun chocolates and books to purchase, and a great meal awaits. It's a cozy spot so don't come with a large party.

Alisha O.

I'm always intimidated by downtown Mesa parking but I saw a crunch wrap on Worth Takeaway's menu and had to have it. I ordered online and was able to find parking quickly! Worth Takeaway has a nice patio out front and even around 130ish there were 4 or 5 people eating out there. My order was ready quickly and packaged very nicely! I chose fries as my side and noticed the online ordering offered a fries without seasoning option which I'm sure is appreciated by some. The crunch wrap was delicious! It came with a side of "hot sauce" but I preferred a hotter one I have at home. And the fries were great -- very fresh and definitely "homemade". They even packed a little to go cup of ketchup which was very thoughtful. I also got a cup of tomato soup and this was excellent. Clearly made in house and had good substance to it. I'll definitely be back!

Yasmin T.

Came here for lunch with my boyfriend! I was super excited to try this place. He got the Cubano which I loved I didn't like my breaded chicken sandwich as much. We did enjoy the Mac and cheese and bread pudding!

Chris S.

It's the only place to stop if you want a legit sandwich when in Mesa. Fast turnaround. Always fresh bread, great ingredients and attention to detail. Inside or outside the place is just cool to be around and makes you feel at ease. They have great monthly specials, once I had the Cuban which was wooooooooo manufique! The fried chicken sandwich is the go to. The Italian is sweet. Also bonus: the chips are homemade and really good. I stop by EVERY time I'm in town. Also, get the iced tea. Have fun and thank me later! :)

I could have sworn I updated my review since the first visit. I've been here many times since and it has always been superb. The first sandwich I tried was the reuben. It was sooo good. I don't know if they make their own sauerkraut but it is excellent. I didn't think I would like it because it's slightly sweet, but oh so good with the meat and cheese. I've only tried one other sandwich because I'm so hooked on the reuben. I had their roast beef and what really made it stand out were the pickled vegetables. I'm not one for pickled stuff but boy did that taste amazing. If they sold jars of it, I would buy it. I'm sad that I moved offices because now I don't get to eat here as often. read more

Have been to Worth a couple of times now and they are doing so many things right with their sourcing and food. Their owners are working so hard to bring their sandwich craft to downtown Mesa and Phoenix metro in general and they are doing very well! Have tried their buffalo chicken sandwich and it is everything you would want: locally made ciabatta by Proof bread, perfectly fried chicken breast, an abundance of blue cheese, thinly sliced carrots and celery, and a house-made buffalo sauce. Also tried their house-made fries and Simple Soda which, oh my goodness, was just perfectly pure for my not-so-sweet taste! I want more of that. Their space is small and they get busy but that is because they are doing things right so don't use that against them! Well worth the visit! read more

Amazing stop by now before the lines start forming as it is a very small place . We went here for dinner before attending a function at the Mesa Arts Center. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Small menu with attention to detail. I had the vegetable sandwich it is unlike any vegetable sandwich I have ever had. Roasted sweet potatoes (I don't like sweet potatoes) pickled cabbage, dried cranberries ricotta spread on sourdough bread. The burst of flavors. YUM. Husband had the chicken salad sandwich made to order as a SALAD. Very nice chicken moist with blue cheese crumbles and slightly pickled vegetables. Customer Service outstanding as well as the cold brewed coffee made in house. NOTE: If you going to order their rotisserie chicken, and want to pick up at 4 pm you must call the order in as they start preparation at 4 pm (served freshly cooked) can't wait to try. read more

I would give this place 10 stars if it was an option! Ate here for the first time this evening after hearing our daughter rave about it! I had the buffalo Mac and Cheese. It was killer! Huge portion and everything about this dish is excellent. I could only eat half. My wife had the Chicken Bacon Ranch and loved it and she also could only eat half and loved every bite! My daughter had the Crispy Chicken which is her go to. She loved every bite! Our soon to be daughter in law had her favorite, which is the Fruit and Nut Grilled Cheese! She is hoping they keep it on the menu forever! The house made chips are thin, fresh, and delicious. The Fries are hot, fresh, and great. The owners are hands on and very friendly and kind. If you are looking for a great quality sandwich place, look no farther then this Mesa gem. Thank you for a wonderful evening, Ed and family read more

Got a crispy chicken sandwich and a reuben, banana pudding and a thyme pear cranberry soda. Delicious! The chicken sandwich was amazing amazing amazing. Juicy chicken, crispy breading, salted perfectly. Went so well with the pickles and Sriracha mayo. That is the best chicken sandwich I have ever had hands down. The reuben was good as well. Great job on the house made slaw, perfect proportion to the pastrami. Banana pudding is again heaven. And if you like thyme you would love the soda. We wanted to try the banana bread pudding but we got there too early, however they had one leftover from the day before and gave it to us, seriously so nice and it was the best banana bread pudding we've ever had! This cute place was an awesome find while a friend and I were looking for breakfast in Mesa. Easy to find, and plenty of street parking out front. The restaurant itself is clean and simply decorated, with a cool modern feel. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We both had the breakfast sammies, a true steal at just $3. They were delicious and unique, and the English muffins they came on were amazing!!! So moist and tasty; and I usually don't like English muffins. I also had a cold brew latte, which was really great. I was really tempted to take home some beautiful fresh flower bouquets that they also sell, but sadly still had a full day of work. I live far from here, but if I'm ever in the area I would definitely make time to drop back in and support this great local spot! read more

I came in from out of town with my family and we wanted a place to get lunch. The atmosphere is clean, quiet, and relaxing. They have a smaller but diverse menu focused on sandwiches and breakfast items. 5 of us each got different items and all of them were great. The food tasted fresh and despite its simple appearance, had some great flavors. Speaking of great flavor you have to try the root beer they have on tap if you get the chance, its amazing. It's not the cheapest food you'll find but you do get a portion proportional to what you pay. The staff were amazing and super friendly. I said I would be back and I did, this time with my family. This place is still just as great! I got the crispy chicken sandwich again, that honey sriracha sauce is incredible! I also noticed the sandwich is cut in half but they used two different chicken pieces which is brilliant because that way they do not cut into the chicken when they cut the sandwich, so all its juices stay inside the chicken until you bite it yourself, perfection. My wife got the French Dip Sandwich and we were both blown away by the dip. I do not know what they put in that stuff but it was so delicious the sandwich was great enough but had the dip and you got an explosion of wonderful flavor. This little place is amazing I live about an hour away but to go to this place is worth the drive. read more

Delicious unique food and genuine good service. As someone who has worked in the service industry forever, I always appreciate service from people who strive to be more than "competent" as another reviewer requested. This is not a chain restaurant trying to please the masses, this small shop where owners and employees actually care if you enjoyed your experience and that gets 10 stars in my book. She was also left to do all of the cooking by herself. We were the only two people in the restaurant, and it took 30 minutes to get food that wasn't good. The meat was dry, and the fried cauliflower was soggy and seemed old. The online menu indicated choices for the plates, but we weren't asked about choices of salad or rice. In fact, the online menu was more informative than anything they had in store. Speaking of the menu...as you can see in the photo for this Yelp page, the prices on the displayed menu were covered up. With inflation, I'm sure they had to raise prices, but at least put the new ones up. We asked for a menu with prices, but the person had to search for one, explaining again that she was new. I initially gave this restaurant two stars because we did eventually get food that was passably edible, but then, I remembered the prices. My passably edible shwarma combo was $15.

Once a year, as Halloween casts its enchanting spell, Worth Takeaway in Mesa, AZ, undergoes a magical transformation, emerging as the whimsical and beloved Jim Bob's Burgers pop-up. This annual celebration, themed around the vibrant era of the 80s this year, is a gastronomic time capsule that takes you on a delightful journey back in time, infused with the charm and wit of the iconic Bob's Burgers show. The metamorphosis of the restaurant into the world of Bob's Burgers is a spectacle to behold. The decorations, costumes, and unique merchandise create an ambiance that's a harmonious blend of nostalgia, fun, and culinary creativity. It's like stepping into a lively comic strip, where every corner bursts with character and color. The menu, staying true to the punny essence of Bob's Burgers, offers an array of inventive burgers that are as delightful to read as they are to devour. Priced around $14, with sides ranging from $6-10, the offerings are a tribute to the spirited inventiveness of the 80s. My companion's choice, the 'Fast Time at Westwood High', was a daring fusion of two 4oz patties, Cool Ranch ranch dressing, Cool Ranch Doritos, and white cheddar cheese. This creation was a playful nod to the iconic flavors of the decade, a burger that was as fun as it was flavorful. My own selection, the 'Breddie Murphy's Dill-Erious', was a testament to culinary creativity. Two 4oz patties, crowned with a cascade of dill pickles, dill caper cream cheese spread, and pickled shoestring potatoes, created a harmony of tangy, creamy, and crispy textures that was nothing short of a flavor symphony. To complement the culinary adventure, I indulged in the 'Weekend at Bob's', a fruit punch sour beer crafted in collaboration with The Shop Beer Co in Tempe. Its sweet, slightly tart profile was a refreshing accompaniment to the robust flavors of the burger, perfect for the warm Arizona day. The staff, embodying the spirit of Bob's Burgers, were the heart of the experience. Their friendly, engaging demeanor and passion for the event contributed significantly to the high-energy, fun-filled atmosphere. Even at the early hour of 9:30 AM, the enthusiasm and joy were palpable among the guests and staff alike. The anticipation for next year's event is already bubbling within me, a yearning for another immersive journey into the whimsical world of Bob's Burgers, replete with innovative burgers, refreshing brews, and an ambiance that radiates pure joy. read more

Collaboration with Lil Miss BBQ and their pretzel bun, with cheese sauce sandwich was my absolute favorite of favorites, really it can't get any more favorite. Might put it in the category of favorite food of all time....and I've been around a long time. Thanks once again Worth. This can't be sustainable! Putting out creative awesomeness every single week. This weeks special of Brie grilled cheese was over the top, the only thing better was finishing it off with the Brioche bread pudding. Still licking my lips. Didn't think they could improve but I am blown away with the blackberry barbecue sauce crispy chicken with golden raisin slaw sandwich. I'm in love love love love love. Thank you WORTH you make my mouth so happy! Hands down the best Cuban I've ever eaten. I loved how fresh the food was, and their absolute dedication to buying local. Jim Bob's house made pickles are amazing, the banana pudding is legendary. read more

Our first experience at this little gem. I was going to the comedy place nearby and we stopped in Worth beforehand. There were 6 of us total. The counter staff was extremely friendly & patient with our questions. Seating for 6 can be a challenge there but the staff helped add chairs to accommodate us. The food was really good. One of the meats on one of the sandwiches was not up to the quality of the others (overcooked). I did consume it so no issue. I figured it to be a one off based on the other sandwiches and hearing all the positive comments from neighboring diners. You can tell when a restaurant isn't solely driven by its bottom line & adds love, kindness & sincere customer care to its menu. I love independent establishments that put their heart & soul into the dining experience. We will be back! read more

I have never had a consistent great experience here. Sandwiches read with great flavor profiles but always seem to fail in simple execution. Had a Cuban once flavors were there but hardly any meat .. it was dry as a bone. A different time I went with my daughter honestly don't remember what I had but the experience was similar. Had the Italian style one.. was the best one I had it actually tasted good a little sweet but my complaint was a really cold bun and not like room temperature cold it was like refrigerated cold. As a whole I've just given up I wanted to like here always heard good things .. but at this point 3 very different times all similar experiences.. all the quality is there none of the execution. read more

Their message is simple "treat people kindly, with respect, create a positive experience for everyone that walks through our doors or orders through us" and they have done it. You are treated like family. The Worth experience is definitely WORTH it. Breakfast is WORTH it, I love the weekly features on Thursdays, The Monday night supper is always a sweet surprise, and there is always room for desert. Mark your calendars every year for the Month of October for the biggest event in Mesa, AZ for the Jim Bob's Burgers event. BRIGHT AND ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS ! I am visiting here in Gilbert, Arizona and decided to come looking for a sandwich joint. This place hit every mark on my list with a variety of options. I love the fact you can get each item as a sandwich, wrap or in a bowl. The first thing that caught my eye was the Spicy Candied BLT. The cold brew latte was also so delicious giving hints of French toast! Def come on by and try this joint ! read more

I ventured to Worth Takeaway for lunch on a weekday and was surprised at how busy it can get in there! The fried chicken sandwich was perfectly crispy and so juicy. All their sandwiches come with fries, salad, or chips, which the menu doesn't explicitly state. I opted for the fries which came with ketchup. To cap it off, I indulged in their butterscotch and oatmeal cookie. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, with the option to dine inside or enjoy the lovely patio seating area. I stopped by this spot on a whim and ended up having one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. The menu had a great variety, and everything we ordered came out fresh and full of flavor.
