Our typical spot for brekkies Omelette House was closed today, but lucky for us it was because we got to try Willy's! A brunch place with a Mediterranean flair was uncommon and this was enough to entice me to give it a go. Immediately when I walked in I knew it was going to be a good experience. The cashier (I assume the owner) was very nice and upon hearing it was our first time, he gave us tips and recommendations on what some popular breakfast items were. Even though egg benedicts seemed to be the popular choice, I opted for the corned beef hash while my bf got the Greek Omelette (feta cheese, olives n herbs, tomatoes, and more). Together, the meal cost just under $20 and came out real quick! The dishes were hefty and came with crunchy hash browns or the house special ones (that contained bell pepper) and toast! They were tasty and served as a solid meal to start off the day. While the cafe is small, it is sure home-y! Willie's is a decent place to grab a cheap breakfast. They're located in an strip mall and parking is easy to find. Willie took our order and was friendly. I opted for an omelette with those potatoes (country fried potatoes with bell peppers and onions). The wifey chose pancakes and iced tea. The potatoes were excellent. I personally hate when restaurants call an omelette an omelette when it's really not. If you're not going to mix the toppings into the eggs but rather throw them in between layers of egg you've failed in my opinion. The wifey is thirsty and they're out of iced tea so she's patiently waiting. She's not thrilled with the pancakes and out comes freshly brewed iced tea in an coffee airpot. I'v been meaning to come here for quite some time now since it's near where I live and (to the best of my knowledge) it was only open during the week during normal business hours. When I came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch, I came to find out they changed their business hours, so they're open on weekends now. It's a small restaurant where you order and pay first, then your food is brought to you at a table. You get your own drinks. I came here with my family, and my brother and I split a classic eggs benedict ($9.99) and a smoked salmon benedict, which was a few dollars more. Both dishes came with house potatoes, so I ordered them extra crispy. Credit cards are accepted here. It took about 10-15 minutes before we got our food order, and it looked good. The eggs benedict was by far a lot better than the salmon benedict, so I would stick with classic if you're dying to try a benedict here. The ingredients just went well together, and the smoked salmon one came off a little too salty for my taste but was still good - just not as good as the classic eggs benny! The potatoes were crispy and delicious. There was a lot of it too! I'd love to come back here and try their Greek food. Now that they're open on weekends...next time! read more

Really cute mom and pop's shop for brunch and Mediterranean food! Came here one afternoon for brunch and we ordered the egg bennys and a chicken kebab wrap. The egg bennys came with hash browns and had a good layer of ham and hollandaise sauce. Definitely very fatty but so delicious. The chicken kebab $8.95 was also very tasty and very authentic, it was a la carte, so sides need to be purchased separately. We also got a side of the greek salad and that was ok. On the day we were there, the shop ran out of baklava, I was soooo disappointed. So we got an order of the french toast to satisfy our sweet tooth and that was amazing! Not too sweet and very fluffy. Hey Willy's, I love you. How in the world have I lived in Anaheim practically all my life and never heard of Willy's before??? The only reason i've now had it is because my job orders from them for company lunches at least once every other month. Their Greek Chicken Wrap is to die for!! Their rice is freaking fantastic. I get SO excited when I hear that my work is having Willy's delivered. Seriously, try those items. Their hummus and tzatziki are both delicious. I read that they also have the best Eggs Benedict ever, so my husband and I finally went for breakfast last week. Yep! Seriously the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had, and I have had a lot. SO happy this place is now open on weekends! Nearly 10 years ago, my husband and I used to dine here on Mondays when we were dating. At the time, we both had Mondays off. Fast forward through life, and we now have Monday-Fri jobs, which meant we had to say good bye to Willy's. We just recently found out they are now open on weekends! We stopped in for breakfast, but we wanted gyros. You are allowed to order gyros for breakfast. They are among the best we have had. The pita bread is toasted to perfection. The meat has so much flavor. The yogurt sauce is delicious, and the sandwhich is loaded with plenty of tomato and red onion. The meal comes with a side salad, which is also amazing. We will be spending many weekends here! Don't expect anything fancy, this is a simple yet historic sandwhich shop. The staff is so friendly, and most are related. I told him no onions and that is exactly what I got!! Wow, I cannot wait to eat this delicious piece of meat again!! The rice is super soft and it definitely comes with a lot!! Had to take the rice home because it was too filing for me. The salad was also very fresh and delicious! Chicken Pita: That pita wrap was definitely filled with that chicken! It was almost like a big giant taco!! Chicken was also very flavorful as well! Got a side of macaroni salad which was just okay. Comes with rice as well. Hands down best EB in OC indeed. I went at 8am for breakfast and all the employees were super friendly and hospitable. I was recommended the avocado EB and it was eye-opening, especially the hollandaise sauce. I also tried their Greek lemon soup but it was a bit too sour for me. My salad was chopped into such small pieces that I had a hard time forking it, which worked out because it was a tad heavy handed on the dressing. Overall a good place to get your gyro fix though. Just a note: There isn't a lot of tables and there is a ton of foot traffic! Go slightly before or after peak lunch hours if you plan on getting a table. $1.50 baklava. This is still one of my favorite lunch spots in the area. The quality has not changed at all in the last 2 years I've been frequenting this place. Willy is still here and welcoming as always. It really feels like going over to a Greek family's house for a meal. The gyro sandwich combo is still my favorite. There's something very satisfying about it and it's the perfect amount of food for lunch. If you're not that hungry, their hummus is amazing too! Customer service was fantastic, the big dude workin the reg has a great personality but seeing the cook work and touch various things including food without any gloves was a no from me, in general but especially with COVID. The microwaving is a no as well from me.. and the food... we got eggs Benedict and an omelet. The Benedict was okay, not bad not fantastic, pretty average.. the omelet was a big meh. I don't know if this is abnormal but every place I've ever been, the contents of the omelet are cooked into the egg. This was more like an egg sandwich. Not seasoned at all and pretty much everything except the egg was undercooked... sorry. I give the extra star for customer service but otherwise won't be returning or recommending. read more
