I came to Wildfire on a Sunday evening with a large party of nine adults, two kids and one toddler. We made reservations ahead of time and were seated immediately. Wildfire is located inside of Tysons 2. Menus were brought out by our server and I have to say I love that kids get a mini menu to select their meal from. It wasn't a printed piece of paper like most places, it had a menu cover and everything. I loved the detail and the kids loved it as well, this is a very family friendly restaurant. I ordered the Lump Crab Cake Sandwich that comes with a side of fries and coleslaw. The sandwich was very filling, the crab cake was filled with crab meat and minimal other fillings. Fries and coleslaw were also large portions. It was all delicious, I would definitely order this again. Overall, the staff were attentive, friendly and food came just as ordered. I usually go to Wildfire for drinks after shopping or just as a meeting point since I live right by galleria. I have had about 4-5 actual meals here and they were all fine. Their cornbread is what really hits home but I wouldn't say their steak is great by any stretch of the imagination. Their crab cakes have the usual amount filler you'll find at most restaurants (but a bit better in quality- as it should be considering they're on the higher end of pricing). Their chop house salad is great- lightly seasoned with a citrus dressing with lots of fresh ingredients like corn, avocado, tomatoes, etc. just make sure you keep in mind that the size is HUGE. The regular one takes up half a high top table so it's definitely a filling meal. Last time, service was absolute garbage. I had to actually physically walk around to find our waiter bc he didn't ask how we wanted the steak cooked. Anyway, it's one of the only options for eating at galleria that's not more or less the lower end crap like Cheesecake Factory, PF Chiang's or maggianos. This is my go-to work lunch place. There's always room, the menu is large, service is predictably good, and portions are ENORMOUS. Like everything is big in Texas vibe. Wildfire has been on my list for years and I'm glad to report, the wait was not in vein! What a great first experience. Because I was solo, I dined at the bar barely missing the lunch menu. What a blessing in disguise. The single crab cake lunch portion was not available and although I wasn't starving, I ordered the double portion to save one for later. OMG was my meal amazing. The crab cakes are nearly all meat with very little filler, I almost ate both in one sitting! I forced myself to take the second crab cake home! My sautéed spinach was so good, I almost asked for a to go order. My second visit, honestly, was just okay. This time I wanted to try Steak at a Steakhouse..LOL. I chose the Basil Hayden's Bourbon Tenderloin Tips and my friend (who is NOT a fan of Wildfire and may be the most brutally honest person I know), opted for the Cedar-Planked Salmon. I raved about the crab cakes so much, I insisted on that for our appetizer. In a surprising turn of events, she absolutely loved her meal and I wished I had ordered my customary Ribeye, only thing, Basil Hayden's is my go to bourbon of choice, and I had to just see..BAD IDEA!! My steak was kinda tough with not the flavor that I anticipated. The crab cake appetizer (mushy-more filler than meat), wasn't even close to my dinner portion I had first visit and I was PISSED because I hyped it up so much..OH WELL.. I've been to Wildfire a handful of times - lunch, dinner, Restaurant Week and held a lunch event in one of the private dining rooms. Our most recent visit was for dinner on a weeknight. They were busy, but we were seated in about 5 minutes. We ordered calamari for our appetizer which was served with marinara and ranch? That was a first for me. Complimentary cornbread was served along with our meal. For our entrees, we got the Seasonal Cornbread-Crusted Fresh Atlantic Cod, Roumanian Skirt Steak and Cedar-Planked Salmon. Ok. Sad to say this because I have been here before and loved it, but went recently and it was marginal. Food was not bad but not great. It was the service this time that left a ton to be desired. We had a party of four. The restaurant was pretty busy. It appeared they only had one server who was also training another server. We were not in a hurry, so that was no big deal, however, they forgot one of my wife's side dishes. When we asked the person who appeared to be the manager about it he just said yeah it's probably back in the kitchen, but he did not try to go get it. When we asked the waitress about it, she looked at our ticket to make sure that we had ordered what we were asking for and she seemed like she was put out to have to go back to get the side dish. It was cold by then. The wait staff were all super casual, which I'm ok with as long as they are good wait staff. Ate at the Tyson's location last Sunday at 1PM, prime brunch and lunch time. They were not that busy. Appetizers came out quickly and calamari was very good. The entrees came out much later and were luke warm at best. Most of my party ordered salads and cold sandwiches. My daughter and I were the only ones who ordered a steak sandwich and fries. Fries that have started to get cool and limp are gross. Don't know what happened but the manager actually ended up bringing out our food. Hadn't been there in years. We came here to celebrate the birthday of a dear friend, and Wildfire was very accommodating. I made the reservation a couple weeks prior and had a cake delivered to the restaurant the day of our dinner. They kept it in the fridge and even decorated it with the candles and cake topper that we brought. I love how all the staff made sure the surprise celebration went as planned! Now, regarding the food, it definitely didn't disappoint. They had a seafood special going on, and I was told it was the macadamia nut crusted halibut. So good! At its prime, this place was a decent steakhouse and was the spot to host birthdays. The past few times, it has been subpar quality. This most recent visit was again not up to par. For one, my husband ordered a specialty burger and it was just ok. It didn't taste freshly made and was a bit dry. My crab bisque was also chunky. I don't think I've ever had "chunky" bisque unless it was full of meaty pieces, but it had barely any, just more of pieces of pepper - not much soup, it was odd. My caesar chicken salad was not tasty, the chicken tasted like it was frozen/stale. The other main dishes of our party were nothing to write home about. Although the cornbread and birthday dessert (which were oddly enough free) were delicious- the highlights of the whole meal. Came here for a late dinner date. The place was big and spacious with ample seating. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were seated in a booth and brought complimentary cornbread. For my entree, I ordered their fresh fish of the day which was the Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut. The halibut was cooked perfectly and came with asparagus on top of this sauce that gave the dish great flavor (wish there was a little more). For the side, I chose their roasted vegetables which was pretty good. I came here taking myself on a date on a summer evening. The ambience was very nice and elegant. I did not sit in the formal dining area, as I opted to sit in the bar area inside of a booth. It was a Friday night shortly before a happy hour ended (6:15pm) and the vibe was quiet and kept. My server was very pleasant and recommended I have the calamari as an appetizer. It was crispy and scrumptious. I prefer to use the cocktail sauce over the ranch, but either or adds flavor to the overall bite. I enjoyed this with a traditional Old Fashion. My entree, a crab-cake sandwich, was juicy and succulent. It was little to no filing at all and the sauce they used to keep it together was a great paring. Wildfire decided to make dinner menu available on Easter and did not offer brunch - this was obviously disappointing since I went there specifically to have steak & eggs from the brunch menu. I settled for the prime rib sandwich instead, and requested an order of well done bacon brought on the side. Attention to details is not one of his strengths and the bacon was added to the sandwich as shown in the attached photo. He also forgot lemon for my water which I had to ask twice for. What we had: Caesar salad + Wildfire chopped salad -- These really could have been my meal, especially the Wildfire one. Fresh, crisp lettuce and veggies with just enough dressing to not wilt the salad. Cedar Planked Salmon -- The entire table chose this. It was soo good. Mike's Springfield is my all-time favorite salmon, but this is a close 2nd. Loaded Baked Potato -- I appreciated the big pieces of bacon and cheese in every bite. I attended a work dinner tonight at Wildfire. It's a more upscale American restaurant located on third floor of Tyson's Galleria (park near Sak's Fifth!). We were seated in one of their private rooms and it was a great experience to have a meal with everyone in a semi-private setting. The dinner was served family style, with appetizers, salad, entrees, sides and dessert. We also had red and white wine with our meal. They even made us adorable paper menus with the name of our event on them! We had a server assigned to our party and the restaurant was very good at accommodating allergies. The short rib was EXCELLENT (we also had a chicken option but it looked a little dry) and the desserts were so yummy - we had a chocolate cake and a tarts with berries and ice cream. While it did not feel overcrowded I did feel like I had to yell directly across the table a bit to be heard by those near me. Wonder if smaller width tables could be used just to allow for multi-level conversations. Overall would recommend if you are looking to host a gathering or needing a private room. read more

My friends and I came shortly after 8pm (when they closed) this past Wednesday night and the doors were already locked. We called the restaurant to see if they would still seat us since our reservations were for 8pm--they said they would, so a staff member came downstairs to let us inside. Certainly, a good starter. DESSERT: * Flourless Chocolate Cake * This dime piece was delicious. It seemed more like a brownie cake but regardless of what it seemed like; it was A-MA-ZING! The dab of whipped cream is literally like the icing on the cake. The texture was lite, it didn't have a rich chocolate flavor but it fit the bill. SERVICE: Service was good. We opted to eat outside the actual restaurant in the main galleria area. The waitress checked on us regularly; I have no complaints. LOCATION/FACILITY: This restaurant is located inside the Tysons Galleria on the 3rd floor. It's closest to the main entrance near Saks. PARKING: Galleria parking garage SEATING: Indoor seating; private room area; outside seating outside of the restaurant in the galleria area. COVID-19: [January 2021] Due to the current pandemic; masks are required in the galleria. When you eat at the restaurant, you remove your masks (duh). The staff wear masks and gloves. The tables are cleaned thoroughly after each guest. SUMMARY: We stopped by to check out the menu and initially I thought of a steak. Wildfire is my favorite place to get away from the craziness of Galleria shopping. Tucked away behind the actual restaurant is the "martini Lounge" (the Wildfire Bar). I used to come here pre-pandrmic for they excellent Happy Hour (which, as of this, writing, has not been restored), but also when I have a hankerin' for a perfectly charcoal-grilled steak. However, I had not been to their Brunch (Saturdays and Sundays until 3:00pm) and today I decided I would give it a whirl. I ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. Wow. Served with freshly fried breakfast potatoes (with a hint of onions), it consisted of two Maryland blue crab cakes, perfectly cooked, with two also perfectly poached eggs and creamy, real hollandaise sauce. It was, hands down, the best crab cake Benedict. Ever. I gilded the lily with an order of Wildfire's old-fashion creamed spinach, a side dish that I utterly love at this restaurant. Event review. Please keep that in mind if you're reading this for anything other than a 50+ person event. If you're reading for food reviews, go about halfway down. I had relatively short notice (1 month) to put together a corporate event for a group of 40, so I worked with Wildfire after making sure they were able to accommodate: * pescatarian * vegetarian (not vegan) I picked their executive club supper and narrowed down the dishes to just the ones that worked with their list above. Clayton and Kailee worked with us pretty closely to make everything happen, including a room change (from wine/club to a combination of rooms inside the center of the restaurant) when we ended up needing to exceed capacity less than a week til the event. There was some confusion around the minimums which originally would've made me give 4 stars (3400 for wine/club, but I was originally told 2700 for the date in question), but they kept the minimum unchanged with the room change when we accommodated more people, which helped us mitigate the risk of inviting more and possibly having more no-shows. Anyway, the food part. While I don't have reviews for each thing everyone ate, I can account for what I ate plus what I heard. All the apps, salads, sides, and desserts were served family style, one plate of each per table with each table having 6-7 people. Everything was enough or beyond enough for everyone (I can say by the time everyone was full, a lot of the dessert went uneaten despite being exceptional). The baked goat cheese and flatbread were both great options for everyone we had present, and the kale salad was definitely the more varied and interesting of the two salad options we picked (I kept Caesar for the picky eaters among us, and it was helpful with our group). The filet had a 90% hit rate on doneness and enjoyment (i.e 3 people thought theirs were over or undercooked to their liking, but none so far as to return the plate). Everyone who had the salmon and penne enjoyed what they got. We swapped out mashed potatoes for fries as a side dish a day before the event, recognizing this is something the venue absolutely didn't need to accommodate, but they did it and it was definitely the right choice for our crowd. The broccolini was also a good healthy option, and portions were sufficient for the largest tables, though only just. Lastly, as wonderful as our dessert options were, a lot of it wasn't eaten because of how large the prior courses were, and they were plated as slices of cake family style (not absurdly big restaurant slices but portions you'd expect when you'd go to a wedding). Keep the potential for wasted dessert in mind if you're planning anything, I'd encourage you to box what's left if you're a cake fiend, or explore whether they can deliver the cakes or desserts a different way to preserve more of it, but there was otherwise nothing wrong with the plating; we were all just full. Also, yes they brought out cornbread for everyone, which is probably why we couldn't eat the desserts. And while they only brought out single rounds of the individual courses, the cornbread was available to literally anyone who asked on demand. 4 stars overall. Plus 1 for the exceptionally accommodating team supporting our event. If we didn't have a need to change our room the week before the event or make menu changes the day before or the day of, it probably would've still been 4 stars. This is inside Tysons Galleria on the top floor. It's... ok. We had a weekday dinner here after some shopping. It was convenient in the moment. It was packed for a Wednesday night, so we thought it was worth a shot. For as upscale as this looks, the service was meh, the food was eek, and the ambience was stuffy. We have been to many restaurants similar to this, but something is off here. It just feels sad and droopy. We will not eat here again. read more
