It's a "no" for me. There was nothing unique about Wildfire. Atmosphere: Inside The Galleria at Tyson's, one would think that you're in for outstanding food and top notch service. Think again. I wish I had taken a picture of the glassware, but the glasses were an eyesore; they were foggy and had scratches all over the glass. Food: Meh. I was highly disappointed with the Shrimp and Crab Bisque. The shrimp seemed like the krill shrimp or small frozen shrimp that you get from Costco. Really, Wildfire? Also, I've had better pork chops at more esteemed steakhouses. There was nothing particularly wrong with my pork chops, I've just had better. My side of potato at gratin was cheesy, but lacked salt. The broccoli was tasty; but then again, it's hard to mess up steamed broccoli. All-in-all, save yourself the trip. Dined here for the first time with my mom for Mother's day and it was alright. I got the macadamia crusted halibut while le madre opted for the bacon wrapped scallops n a side of loaded baked potatoes. Mom had to ask for her baked potato to be reheated bc cheese was cold and the potato itself wasn't even hot enough. The second potato came out basically the same. She did enjoy her scallops though and my halibut was fine-cooked nicely and tasted fresh. Overall my mom said "ehh" and we all know mama knows best. read more

I'm so mad at myself for not finding this GEM OF A RESTAURANT. Im a frequent shopper at Tysons corner galleria mall and usually when I come here i have my Italian or Asian cuisine. I have yet to find a steak restaurant that will satisfy my taste buds in every aspect and this it it people. This restaurant not only has the best service but one of the best steaks, I have tasted since visiting Gordon Ramsey's & Jose restaurant in Vegas. You guys beat the 5 stars of excellence here. I was served by Brian and Raul who gave us royalty treatment. The restaurant was full we were lucky to get seats in the Martini Loungue, so we sat at the bar. I ordered a filet mogón butterflied cut and well done. Yes I know a lot of my friends ask me why is it that I like my meat well done? Well that's what I prefer and to me it tastes delicious!! This particular cut was fresh super juicy, seasoned to perfection. The potatoes were fresh and creamy. I enjoyed every bite! The lemon broccoli didn't enjoy much I wished I had asked for sauce on the side. However if your into a more citrus taste this would be tasty. Prior to sitting we were offered corn bread, now people this isn't no ordinary corn bread it's one of s kind. When I tell you that I had to pace an order to go it was that delicious. You just come here with an empty stomach ;) I had the three course meal but was extremely full I had to take my dessert home. I ordered the cherry pie and let me tell you the reason why it don't make it to the Yelp pic collage was because it es to good I had to eat it right away. I had been going here at least once a year since 2012, stopped during the pandemic and had an old friend back in town so we decided to go back as is our tradition every time we get together. Honestly, while there are many steak options in Tysons I would still recommend Wildfire over some/most because of the filet medallion trio. Not many places offer steak crusts, at least not that I've seen so far. For that alone, I think it's worth at least one visit. Also the vibe is a lot more casual than other places which I dunno depending on what you're looking for may be a plus. read more

WOW. I just finished cedar planked salmon and fresh broccoli with lemon vinaigrette that I ordered from Wildfire through a delivery service. The broccoli WAS fresh and not cooked until it turned gray and was writhing an inch of its life like you get from lots of restaurants. No puddle of water at the bottom of the container, either. Someone in the kitchen took their care with it, and it showed (and tasted!) It was bright green and al dente. Delicious! The salmon was done PERFECTLY,not dry at all, but not raw, either, and the dry rub that they used was very pleasant and not overpowering. I could still taste the salmon, and it was really good. I also got a piece of cornbread which was sweet; that's not my favorite, I prefer the savory kind, but it had kernels of corn in it, which was a nice touch. I will DEFINITELY order this again. We've been to Wildfire many times over the years for group events, but it's been a long time since we dined in the main restaurant. We went on a Saturday night and walked in with no wait. We ended up all choosing burgers as our mains, as they sounded very appetizing on the menu. Unfortunately all 3 burgers we chose fell short. Every dish came out with a pile of sad soggy fries. Mine even had a long white fry - clearly uncooked! We notified our server and asked to bring out fresh fries. He brought out a plate, which was better, but frankly not the amount for 4 people. The prime rib french dip was VERY dry. Used up all the jus dip on half a burger because it was so dry. The strip steak sandwich was the same - dry and dry. The Angus burger was at least ok, cooked medium. Frankly, the best thing we had that night was the cornbread. Can't speak to the other items on the menu, but the burgers are awful. read more

The wife and I decided to stop by for a lunch date. We had our rehearsal dinner here a month ago at one of their private rooms, so I wanted to check out for their normal menu. We came during Sunday lunch, the restaurant had a few tables occupied. I literally stood by the empty host stand for 5 minutes until someone showed up. I understand if it was busy but it was pretty empty and a couple of servers walked by but not even an acknowledgement. When we eventually got seated our server was friendly and helpful. I understand if you are short staffed but at least acknowledge that someone would get to you. We ordered the prime rib (10oz) with mash potatoes, the small wildfire chopped salad, and a side of fries. the meal comes with cornbread which always hits the spot. The salad is always a favorite for us, the small is deceptively named as it is good enough for 2 people. The prime rib was pretty good, maybe needed a bit more salt. Wow, who knew? This came as a recommendation while shopping in VA, so I gave it a shot. I'm so glad I did! The food was delicious! The dining area was quite crowded with large parties, so I figured that was a good sign :) Our server greeted us with water and cornbread immediately. I ordeeed a house salad, which turned out to be on iceberg lettuce (motioning thumbs down) but the balsamic dressing was tasty, so it was quite palatable lol I cleaned my plate! Maybe it was the carrots and cucumbers that helped ? Haha I then ordered the short ribs from the dinner specials menu, and substituted the sides for broccoli and red mashed potatoes. Yeesh, another review several months late...upside I actually took photos and remember what I ate!!! I came in with a few coworkers for a late lunch...around 2 pm or so. We were quickly seated and given time to pursue the menu. Ultimately I ended up with the crab cake (singular) and mashed potatoes. Honestly, since I ordered the meal and not an appetizer was was expecting more than I got. But maybe its more that I needed to adjust my expectations since this was a somewhat fancy steakhouse.... But that being said...I wasn't totally blown away by the food. It was good, but I just didn't feel like it was worth the cost. But the environment was quiet and we were well taken care of by the servers. Hmmm lets see, I want to give them the benefit of the doubt because it was Mother's Day but some things should be standard. I came here with the fam to celebrate and thank goodness we had a reservation because if not you could only eat at the bar, because all the dining area tables were secured for those who had a reservation. Well played Wildfire, well played. Once we were seated it was like sitting in a meat cooler as it was extra cold and it seemed like the longer were we there the colder it got. Our waiter greeted us took our drink orders and gathered our food orders upon his return. We started with the calamari which took so long to come to the table that they comp'd it. Now you know it had to be long time if that was offered up automatically. When the calamari did arrive it was cold as if we missed the last notch before lukewarm. At this point there was no need to send it back since it took so long for it to arrive in the first place. In honor of Mother's Day I ordered one of the specials which was the Ribeye and the Shrimp. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and had a decent taste to palette but it was not hot. My loaded baked potato was decent but once your broke through the cheese it was barely holding on to its warmth. The remainder of the dishes were about the same. The hottest thing to hit the table was the Barbeque Chicken and it was not the hottest. The Filet Mignon was the toughest and chewiest piece of meat to be had and the Salmon was so cold it would have been better off on a salad than the cedar plank it arrived on. Overall taste was not an issue but the temperature was its ultimate demise. Oh, I almost forgot the cornbread was okay if you are not opposed to tasting an immense amount of butter in every bite. As much as I would love to love this place, I would not recommend coming during a time that it is super busy. Part of me feels like if this were any other random day, the food would have been better as the level of urgency would be appropriate if the kitchen were not overwhelmed or understaffed, take your pick. They were running a special on a kale dip which was like a healthier version of spinach and artichoke dip. That was definitely very tasty and a big serving. The cream spinach is just OK and I love cream spinach so I will like it at any restaurant I go to. But this is definitely not a stand out side here. I tried the steak tips, I think they were the tenderloin tips. I ordered a medium but they definitely came a little too cooked. They were tender but not that flavorful. Went on Thanksgiving. They had clearly overbooked. We had a reservation but were still seated 30 minutes late. Once we were seated and ordered drinks, they took another 30 minutes to arrive. The places were set with plates already at the table, and the plates were greasy and not totally clean. We returned them, and when they brought out new plates, another was dirty. The food was served family style. Half of the roast beef was less cooked than rare. Inedible. We had to pick around it, but we were not willing to wait another hour for it to be replaced. Since this all occurred on Thanksgiving, I think this place might be okay on non-holidays. But we'll never find out. We won't be returning. read more

Dined at Wildfire for a friend's birthday. The ambiance is wonderful and the number one reason to dine here. My group started with the calamari, it came out hot and was pretty good! The complimentary cornbread was good as well. After digging through reviews on Yelp I decided the salmon would be a safe bet. It was just okay, a little dry and overcooked. The flavors didn't blow me away, it probably could have used more sauce to mask the dryness. My husband ordered a burger which he said wasn't great (it was undercooked). Also they have an extensive cocktail and wine selection. Food quality is very consistent and service is good. They rotate their fish selection, but they always do a good job with the preparation. On my lady visit I had the almond crusted cod with a lemon butter sauce, served with sautéed spinach and broccoli, and the result was very good. Sometimes they serve Salmon and trout, and if you like scallops, they do a really good job. Also, they serve a complimentary corn bread before your meal that is great. If you like meat, they have all the traditional cuts, but if you want something light, try their salad with steak... it is pretty good. Specifically, this is in the Tyson's Galleria on the third flood. We didn't know what to expect, and were pleasantly surprised that it inside there was a traditional steak house design. Very nice, dim lighting, and the low capacity makes it really intimate ( only two other couples in the huge front dining room). Now we are Ruth's Chris lovers, and i have to say it wasn't quite the RC experience. The waiter was excellent. The ambiance was great. The steaks were pretty good. The Flavor award of the night goes to the moist, delicious, corn bread! We both let out an audible " mmm" when tasting the melt-in-your-mouth pre meal treat. Our steak of choice are always filets, which came on a plate Au jus. My petite filet was butterflied, which made it a less tender. Hubby's medium rare filet was cooked as he liked it inside but had a charred surface which he gave to me ( he does not like any crusty or charred meat). I got a side salad which was average. Our first dinner of 2021 was amazing! I love that they are apart the Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises. I was able collect points through their frequent diner club membership. I noticed that some restaurants have limited menus now and I love that Wildfire still has a pretty large menu selection even during Covid-19. They are following all CDC guidelines with cleanliness and stopping all food/beverage service at 10pm. My ribeye was charred to perfection. Our waiter was fantastic at bringing out the old fashions at the perfect time. The only con I experienced was entering the mall. The only entrance is through the Tysons mall which was closed at the time of our dinner and all doors were locked. We had to wait until someone exited in order to enter the mall to get to the restaurant. read more

In hopes to impress me on the first day at my new job, my new coworkers took me to Wildfire, which they raved about, for lunch around noon. There was plenty of seating, although, reservations were made in advance. After it was hyped up by my coworkers, I had pretty high expectations for this place, but sadly, it fell a bit short of those expectations. The restaurant itself is located inside Tyson's Galleria and can be accessed directly from outside, or through the mall. There was ample parking so we parked right outside of the restaurant. The restaurant had a speakeasy sort of feel to it--dimly lit, black and white photos tiling the walls, a mix of stone and wood interior to add to the ambiance. As a group of 7, we surprisingly got our food pretty quickly--maybe they weren't slammed with customers yet. Our server wasn't particularly enthused to serve us though (but I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that maybe he was just having a bad day? *shrug*) I ordered The Steakhouse Salad without the blue cheese and replaced the blue cheese dressing with a red wine vinaigrette--best decision ever, by the way. The salad itself was pretty good, although, the steak was a bit dry and overdone. During our lunch, the server never checked up on us, even to refill our water...the basics! Oh well. For a restaurant that has $$$ next to it, I expected more--especially customer-service wise. However, I will give him credit for bringing me the gluten-free menu when I mentioned that I had a gluten allergy. (Actually, kudos to Wildfire for even having a separate menu for that!) On this trip, I made an appointment to get my hair cut at Vidal Sassoon Salon, but not until later in the evening, so I decided to have an early dinner. It helps that all I had to eat was a boiled egg and a handful of veggies. I decided to sit at the bar, so I walked through the mall entrance to the opposite side of the restaurant to the bar area. Happy hour was in full swing, but I still found a spot at the bar. I was quickly greeted and given the happy hour menu. They had some half-priced appetizers, cocktails for $7 and Chardonnay for $5. I also requested the full menu, which the bartender brought over. He also brought a seasonal menu...so many options! I was in the mood for something healthy and found a dish with grilled chicken and artichokes, arugula, roasted tomatoes and Parmesan cheese with a wine and lemon sauce. It came with a side so I picked broccoli. I loved it but the portion was too large. I only ate about a quarter of it, focusing on the vegetables. If I weren't at a hotel, I could have taken it home and had it for lunch or dinner the next day. Oh, forgot to mention I had the happy hour shrimp cocktail, which came with 5 shrimp. Maybe that's why I was so full?! The shrimp were good. Love that the cocktail sauce comes with a healthy dose of horseradish. I really enjoyed my meal. It was exactly what I was in the mood for. If you come here, definitely come during happy hour to save a little cash. I have been to Wild Fire 2x now, today was my 2nd time. I really wanted to like this place and give it a 2nd chance. Let's start with the service! Both times that I've been here, the service was consistently professional, friendly and as always very helpful. I always ask what they would recommend or what others like most. I can tell they've tried most, if not all dishes! It goes beyond just "It's good, I like it a lot", they actually took the time to describe the actual dishes. The food is the only reason why I'm rating it 3 stars. Surprisingly the bone-in rib eye was less flavorful than the NY strip steak. Surprise right?!? Me too! I'm paying alot more for less flavor. Honestly I so badly wanted to add salt and pepper on my rib-eye, but that's uncalled for! The NY strip steak was definitely alot more flavorful. I can taste the natural flavor of steak enhanced by perfectly seasoned by salt and pepper . Also it cut like butter! No need for a steak knife. My daughter enjoyed the burger according to her it was "Juicy" and managed to finish the gigantic of a burger! We had to cut the burger in quarters, it was humongous!!! This restaurant need not to be afraid with salt! The fries were bland! How can y'all not season your fries?!?!?! And your steak?!?! Lastly I enjoyed the Key Lime pie! My daughter not so much. I love tart! And it definitely delivered! But it was cut with the whip cream and the sweet, buttery crust . If they improved on the steak and their fries, I might come back and give it a go again! Came here for late lunch after shopping in the mall. Had never been here before but we weren't disappointed. Everything we got was flavorful. The shrimp and crab bisque was to die for. The cornbread they serve is so sweet and full of bits of corn. My boyfriend had about 3 servings of it lol. I read mixed reviews about Wildfire, but went anyway and loved it. We were fortunate to get a sidecar table, which is a booth with sound-absorbing curtains. I think that set the tone for us. It was cozy and quieter. The important thing for my guests was the allergy accommodation. This restaurant DOES NOT USE ANY NUTS!! And they have a full gluten-free menu! As for the rest of the food, the wine was amazing, the flatbread with goat cheese very good (though next time I would ask for the tomato sauce on the side), the kale side salad was HUGE (3 of us could have split one), and the Angus burger was perfect. The desserts were tasty too. The service was good, though my one tiny quibble was that we informed management and our wait staff we were there for a milestone birthday. They did provide a candle in her dessert, but at those prices, a comped dessert would have at least matched chain restaurant standards. read more

There were some empty reserved tables as well. The happy hour is from 3pm-6pm. The waiter came right over to us with water and menus (excellent service). We ordered a margarita and a Cosmo (the Cosmo was SO good, and margarita was good too--but I am not a big fan of margaritas). Cocktails were $7 each! They start you off with a nice homemade with actually bits of corn in it. For food we got calamari, shrimp cocktail, and crab cakes. AMAZING. The calamari had a nice crunch but very tender inside it was amazing with the sauces provided. The shrimp cocktail came with 5 shrimp and was very juicy and meaty--tasted great with lemon and cocktail sauce. Such a disappointment. I think for some reason, my opinion went from high to low so quickly because of my first decent experience. I honestly did not expect to get a wrong temperature steak from a steakhouse like Wildfire which has such a classy high-end service and ambiance. How can you serve well-done to the medium-rare table? That's not even close to how I would imagine if by accident, the steak was sitting at the serving countertop for too long. And then I don't know what happened to the server. I asked the server for a recommendation between a few options and according to him they are a steakhouse so I opted for the Filet Mignon, Medium Rare. It was...fine? Far from the worst steak I've had but not the best, just pretty average across the board; nothing to write home about. Very nice ambience and you definitely get a feeling of cozy luxury. I've been going here for the past few years for their brunch and always order their steak and eggs. Steak is always cooked perfectly to my desire. My favorite thing about this meal is just getting a bit of everything all in one fork. Their complimentary cornbread is amazing as well. Was so excited to eat here. We are staying at the Ritz hotel and was really wanting a good steak. My filet was absolutely horrible and no taste! No seasoning what so ever. I couldn't put enough salt on it to give it a taste. I could tell when I got it, that it didn't even look like a filet. I even asked the waiter for steak sauce that I never did get. The baked potato was old and hard. It's tasted like it was a week old. My husband had the fish and he said it was ok but again his baked potato was horrible too. You would think that the food would be much better considering the price of the food. The best thing I ate there was the cornbread they give you when you sit down. read more
