This charming local…read moremeadery is tucked away in a warehouse complex, but the inside was surprisingly spacious and cozy. I was impressed by the wide selection of meads on tap so it actually took me a while to decide what to order! I ended up building my own flight with five different flavors. Overall, the meads leaned more toward the dry and crisp side rather than being overly sweet, which made them easy to drink without salty snacks. My personal favorites were BA Knotty Soda (Vanilla Bourbon) and Blueberry Brunch. In addition to mead, they also offer ciders, beers, smoothies, and snack plates like hummus, so there's something for everyone to enjoy. The staff was welcoming and friendly, making the experience even better. Parking was also convenient, with plenty of spaces right in front of the meadery. I'd definitely come back to try even more of their meads!

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday there, and Staci Collins and her incredible events team went above and beyond to make the occasion truly special. From beginning to end, Staci and her team were warm, kind, attentive, and incredibly professional. Their hospitality was exceptional. They didn't simply host an event--they made me and my guests feel genuinely welcomed, celebrated, and cared for. Every detail and thoughtful gesture helped make this milestone birthday one I will always remember. A very special thank you to the chef as well! The braised ribs were absolutely outstanding--so flavorful and incredibly tender that you could literally cut them with a fork. My guests and I are still talking about how delicious the food was! The beautiful setting, wonderful food, and exceptional service were all impressive, but it was the people who truly made the experience memorable. Northern Virginia has a lot of winery options, but Bluemont offers a few things that make it special. First of all, it's huge - tons of indoor and outdoor seating on two levels. They take reservations. We made for one for noon on Saturday. We were seated upstairs/indoors but eventually moved to their upstairs deck (we were there for hours and wanted a change of scenery). Their views are incredible. You can see the Blue Ridge Mountains from practically anywhere on the property! I hadn't seen my friends in months, so we stayed for almost five hours. We started with their white wine flight, and then we had a few bottles, too. We also ate (beef empanadas, a flatbread, and some black bean hummus). We enjoyed most of the wines (between the flights and bottles, I think we tried 6 whites and 1 rose), and the food was pretty good, too. The service was great - Lily and Rose were our servers (there was a shift switch, since we were there for almost 5 hours) and they were wonderful. They were a little busy downstairs when we arrived, but it's such a large space that there was plenty of seating for more. (It seems to be a spot on wine tours, because there were a few buses when we arrived.) I'm not sure if you really need a reservation, but I'm glad we had one since our plan was to eat lunch at the winery. We had a great time at the winery. But the highlight of Bluemont Vineyard is the property itself - the views, the space, and outdoor dining!

I started planning this in the beginning of the year and Sriram Hariharan is one of the most giving, caring and supportive person I know. He put me in touch with all the right resources. He would follow up to see how things are going. I would say his detail to customer service and experience is exceptional. Next is Rohit Ray who assisted every step of the way helping me with my attendee numbers , the set up design and more. He was there throughout the whole party. Rohit's kindness and grace that is unwavering. Finally, our server Astrid. She oversaw my last shower in January and I know we were in good hands when I saw her last Saturday. she is truly A+. She made sure the event went smoothly. Was proactive in helping us get things organized, and when one of the guests reported she was a vegetarian she made changes so her tea party food was vegetarian. The entire celebration was impeccable. I had 26 people attend and one person shared they've experienced three high teas in London and the experience at this party was the best one yet. After the party ended, I received so many calls telling me how elegant the party was, how exceptional the service was. And how wonderful all the food was. I will give honorable mention to Smail and the director of valet who helped us bring up the party favors and flowers and more. my heart is full. During dinner, there was live music which created a nice ambiance. I ordered the half roast chicken and chicken Bryani. The half roast chicken was disappointing. The breast was dry and flavorless. Dinner menu seems to be the same as the dinner menu from last year. Breakfast we ordered the chicken and waffles and also the lobster eggs Benedict. The chicken and waffle was cooked fresh. Chicken crispy and juicy. Waffle fluffy. The lobster Benedict was a let down. Eggs were cooked nicely but the lobster bits were mushy. Overall the room was nice and the food was hit or miss.
