We hadn't heard of it before, but thanks to the magic of social media, we discovered it and decided to check it out. The space itself is charming and cozy, with neat art on the walls and a great vibe overall. We were greeted by a friendly staff member, but unfortunately, she didn't explain how things worked which led to some confusion. Ordering happens at the counter, then you seat yourself, and later return to the counter to pay. We figured this out ourselves, but a quick orientation would've helped. There were no explanations of the wines, no mention of available food, and we only discovered the charcuterie and samosas by walking around. Even then, the signage was unclear, and the staff didn't offer guidance. Things went further downhill when a large Meetup group (20+ people) arrived shortly after us. The staff was clearly was unprepared. Service slowed to a crawl, and while they did call in backup, it felt like chaos behind the counter. Flights were delivered piecemeal and with some confusion, and at one point, a staff member accidentally knocked over a tray of wine being carried by another. That said, the wines ranged from good to very good and the pours are far more generous than we expected. I had asked about the samosas, and after a vague back-and-forth, was told they'd bring it over. They didn't. Every time someone made eye contact with me, they'd vaguely say "the samosa" without confirming what I ordered (they never asked how many, and only my wife wanted one). By the time we were ready to leave, the place had become far too loud and chaotic, and I didn't even finish my flight. We bought a bottle to go, and again, they mentioned the samosa; at which point I just told them to skip it. This place has potential; it's a cute spot and could be great with better organization and communication. Maybe it runs smoother when there's a smaller crowd. But based on this visit, I'm not likely to return.

The machine has an ever-changing selection of reds, whites, and rosés to either taste or get a full pour of. Both times I have attended I have gravitated to the red blends, becoming favorites of mine. The staff were really nice to chat with and I love the way out of the place, though small. I would be excited to sit outside when the weather is better, though it's just the sidewalk with a bunch of cars going by a busy street. The inside has bar seats, a small lounge area, and a high long table. Did I mention they also sell a bunch of wines, snacks, and more? They have events too, so I will have to check those out.

I found reasonably priced metered parking right outside. There's also a nearby garage. Demi was a pleasure to chat with and learn more about this business. I liked the self-serve option for tasting and/or a full glass. I was impressed with the selection of wines. My fave was the Castella D'Alba (a red blend from Portugal). I was impressed by the wide selection of meads on tap so it actually took me a while to decide what to order! I ended up building my own flight with five different flavors. Overall, the meads leaned more toward the dry and crisp side rather than being overly sweet, which made them easy to drink without salty snacks. My personal favorites were BA Knotty Soda (Vanilla Bourbon) and Blueberry Brunch. In addition to mead, they also offer ciders, beers, smoothies, and snack plates like hummus, so there's something for everyone to enjoy. The staff was welcoming and friendly, making the experience even better. Parking was also convenient, with plenty of spaces right in front of the meadery. I'd definitely come back to try even more of their meads!

Their views are incredible. You can see the Blue Ridge Mountains from practically anywhere on the property! I hadn't seen my friends in months, so we stayed for almost five hours. We started with their white wine flight, and then we had a few bottles, too. We also ate (beef empanadas, a flatbread, and some black bean hummus). We enjoyed most of the wines (between the flights and bottles, I think we tried 6 whites and 1 rose), and the food was pretty good, too. The service was great - Lily and Rose were our servers (there was a shift switch, since we were there for almost 5 hours) and they were wonderful. They were a little busy downstairs when we arrived, but it's such a large space that there was plenty of seating for more. (It seems to be a spot on wine tours, because there were a few buses when we arrived.) I'm not sure if you really need a reservation, but I'm glad we had one since our plan was to eat lunch at the winery. We had a great time at the winery. This may seem high for only one hour, but my kids had fun and my hour without worrying about them or being interrupted was very productive so it was worth it. Staff are friendly.
