We came for the first time during their Harry Potter event. The whole thing was poorly run and there was no organization. They had us wait in a line that snaked around the tasting room to purchase anything whether it was bottles, a tasting or food. It would've been much more organized if they had separate areas to purchase tastings, and food and bottles. Instead there were workers at tables where the tastings were poured (into plastic cups) after purchasing in the long line just standing there doing nothing. I only tasted the white flight and only one of the four was palatable. We also ordered the special cocktail flight which tasted like it had zero alcohol in it and were ok but was basically fruit punch. The Diagon Alley Market was a joke. 3 of the booths were sold out at 3:30 when the event was supposed to go to 5, and the booths that were there were goofy, nothing I'd want to buy. Oh yeah, the tasting room was also out of butter beer at 2:00. Ridiculous. Clearly no one here knows how to plan and run an event. I will not go back to this winery. It is a gimmicky joke. If you want good wines there are many other options that are better. Oh, and the parking and line to get out of this place.... Don't get me started. This was not a fun event.

I had a good time here with a small group of friends. There is a decent variety of wines and fun ways to try them. From wine only tasting with 2oz pours to a snack pairing menu and another tasting options. I decided to go for the month special - April Outlander Wine Tasting Menu. This option comes with 1oz pours and an accompanying cellar made snack so that you can experience how their wine will elevate the food pairing that they created. I must say that there were some interesting snack combinations, for example #4 includes a tasting of their new 2019 Petite Sirah (yum) and it is paired with a Bourbon BBQ quinoa chip with balsamic cheese, artichoke asiago, Chik-Fil-A sauce and Jacobs cream cracker... and it actually worked together lol. It was fun experiencing some creative snacks and enjoying the wine as suggested - sip, snack and sip. Their in-house menu included the usual vineyard pairings, cheeses, charcuterie, meats, etc. I like that there was a food truck available on the premises which provided another option outside oft he usual vineyard snacks. Our party enjoyed food from the truck as well as the host cellar. The tasting room under the main level has some interesting decor and plenty of room for guests. The bathroom was clean and there were workers that frequently checked on us and cleaned up after departing customers. Overall decent Vineyard.

On Sunday January 22, 2023, my wife and I took a trip to Fabbioli Cellars. My wife loves this place and we decided to take a random trip post Covid. This place is one of a kind with there food paired wines. This weeks menu was a tailgating addition which structured wines around the foods you would normally see during a game. We loved every single one and the way they were paired together was amazing. This is a family business and the owner was wonderful with genuine care and dedication to her craft. We went in the cold time of the year just to see how things were and this place is jaw dropping, the views of the grape vines and open space was really peaceful. We spent hours just relaxing and the peach sangria is a must try.

I have been here a few times, and have not been disappointed. Aside from a beautiful location and nice decor and setup, I really enjoy their wine tasting. Fabbioli pairs their wines with small food bites - and they even have Gluten Free and Vegetarian options. No matter how many tastings, the pairing has been spot on. During COVID, they are offering self-guided wine tastings with five wines and paired food bites that you can enjoy on location or take home.

When I tell you I had the absolute best experience ever , I came here with a friend and we had a fabulous time. The host gave us a list of what we were tasting and the pairings of food that go with each selection of wine . Mind you these are small bites but they have so much thought behind them and they pair so nicely with the different wines . My favorite out of the many we had was the Una peara , it was undertones of crisp pears and had a few notes of spice . The thanksgiving bite is what we had with this one , cranberry and a cracker and something else it was so delicious . We ended up going up stairs in the restaurant, it was a beautiful view of the winery big bay windows . We ordered some more of the bites for that month and got a whole bottle of the Una Pera . Prior to leaving I mentioned to the host that my wife died , he gave me a snowflake cut out of her name . It was the most beautiful kind gesture . This was above and beyond the call of duty and the fact that he took the time to listen and do that speaks volumes about the level of customer service and just human kindness this man had . I cannot wait until the next time I will return , please go this place is gorgeous .

I absolutely loved Fabbioli Cellars. They have a unique array of wines for those who are intimated by fancy places. This place isn't intimidating, the staff is friendly and they do themes every month which is super fun! When I went our server was Dam who was very nice and personable. Our wines and ciders were paired with food and crackers. There was a speak-easy type atmosphere in the next building. Would definitely recommend for a nice afternoon out.

Hands Down, BEST WINE TASTING I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED! Our wine guide, Gayle (sp?) was a blast to be around and she knew her thing about the wines she poured up to this excited group of about 25 wine enthusiast! Located in Leesburg, Virginia, the wine tastings are paired with gourmet food pairings to compliment the wine. We did a "sip-bite sandwich," if you will. Sip the wine, take a bite of the food pairing provided, repeat. No lie, each food pairing enhanced the flavor of the wine 100%! Delicious! Our wine tasting was held in the basement of the facility where wine barrels are located, but they have wine tastings in other areas on-site. We tasted 7 wines, with 7 accompanied bites, all for the reasonable price of $15. They have other packages and prices, inquire within. You can of course purchase bottles of wine, glasses, glasses of wine, wine charms, other knick-knacks, and food to accompany your wine. While you sip and chill you can either stay on the main level, where tables and chairs are provided, sit on the porch to admire the 360 degree view of the vineyards or go upstairs. On cooler days, fire pits are operational for guests to snuggle up around while toasting the evening away. A fun and interesting way to enjoy locally grown wine while on a date, a girl's day away, or just a fun get away with friends.

Love was in the air yesterday (Monday) at Fabbioli Cellars . Bae and I decided to celebrate Vday a few days before the frenzy! I chose Fabiolli because of the titanic theme and the food pairing. I love the decorations and the view of the vines from upstairs is beautiful! We arrived around 3pm and was greeted by a gentleman ( Jason or Justin i believed) . We had a choice between sitting in the barrel room or upstairs , we chose upstairs as I wanted to enjoy the view, there were only two ladies . We chose the flight with the food pairing which was $15 for a total of 7 wines . Only one of the wine did not have a food pairing. We had a blast trying to figure out what were the different type of cheese, how to pronouns certain words such as "Manchego Michita cheese" lol. Oh I was forced to stop taking pics as I was trying to enjoy us so sorry for not many pics of the winery. Bae enjoyed pretty much everything , he decided to get us a bottle of Sangiovese to enjoy. Our two favorite were the Sangiovese and Carmenere. I decided to get a bottle of Merlot to take home. He definitely wants to go back smoke a cigar and enjoy the port which he thought was not too sweet but perfect ! *Masks required while moving around* *tables are 6ft apart * *Fire pire available * *Food is allowed so I brought us a heart shape charcuterie * Definitely recommend going on a weekday (Monday) so u get to enjoy the winery for yourself lol!! Till next time #MELANINONTHEMOVEDC #nadjmaqueen

I visited Fabbioli Cellars for the first time earlier this year for a wine tasting. It was a hot and humid day out - so the tasting room air conditioning was a welcome respite! We procured our tastings and were instructed where to hang out as the staff prepared for the next tasting. As we got started started - plates of food morsels were brought out and we were instructed to leave them be - and they would advise us - with which wines to taste each tidbit with. Fun! We very much enjoyed all the wines - would love to come back here again! #FabbioliCellars

We had a very nice time here! The outside was dog and kid friendly. We did a few 3 wine flights that we picked ourselves. You can also do a tasting menu with 5 sips and 5 snacks. The PB&J was a favorite snack. I ended up buying the cider, pear wine, and pear cider. It's a more chill vineyard, you go up and order what you rather than a seated experience that happens all at once. That staff was very nice and knowledgeable.

This is a nice winery in an area with many. We visited for the 1st time recently after receiving a recommendation to come here from another nearby winery. It was quite busy on a Saturday afternoon and we actually waited outside for a bit until some of the other customers checked out. After a few minutes, we went inside and were showed all of the options for the day - buying bottles, doing a self-guided tastings, snacks, etc. We opted for the tasting and were given all of the samples at once to take outside. It was a beautiful day and we were happy to snag a spot at one of the tables right off the main house. The wines we tried were pretty good and we enjoyed just relaxing in the shade for a bit.

Ask the Community - Fabbioli Cellars

    Pet friendly (inside? AND/OR outside-patio?)

I know dogs are allowed outside, but I'm not sure about inside the tasting room. Keep on watch for the winery cats Warren and Goldie who have the run of the property inside and outside.

Is the tasting area wheelchair accessible?

Yes, they have a walkway ramp to get into the tasting area. The tastings are at bar height but they also have tables in front of the bar seating and I'm sure they would accommodate and do a seated tasting for you .

Super short version: Great winery with good service that is also not rowdy. Fantastic place to…read morego for a glass or three of quality wine in relative peace and quiet. Short version: Casanel, a small family owned winery, simply put our favorite winery bar none. Notable for their Cabernet Sauvereign (hard to grow in Virginia) and their Petit Verdots, all of their wines every year have been good to great. Service is good, pricing is fair and reasonable considering the market, and the atmosphere is welcoming and warm. They do allow dogs and food outside, but do enforce a no dog and no outside policy indoors, in part to ensure that there always is a place that is quieter for those who seek it. Long version: My wife and I judge wineries on three scales - quality of the wine, quality of the service, and other (which includes the views, value for price, food options, etc). Wine Quality - Casanel wine has been consistently good to great in spite of difficult years. Although they have had a change in wine makers, the samples we have tasted of the product that their new wine maker Adam has produced, I believe, will continue their reputation for quality. While many of these produced by Adam are not yet available for sale, they also have a strong library of wines that are well worth checking out and, we believe, value for money. That said, our pallet tends to lean toward the dry reds (PV, Cab Sauv, and others), but they also produce a Chardonnay that has gone through malolactic fermentation and lightly oaked, producing a flavorful wine that is not a butter bomb. They also produce a few other whites and reds that are also worth a visit, including Norton (both still and as a bubbly), a Carmenere (an all but lost burgundy grape), and Pinot Gris in several styles. In the warmer months, they also have several roses including last year an orange wine (based on a white wine made like a red). And that is about half of their offerings. If I had to say that they had a weakness in this category, it would be that they don't have that much to offer sweet wine drinkers, but they do have an option or two. Service - The Casanel winery team does all they can to create a warm, welcoming environment to their guests and, being that we are frequent visitors, they have become our winery home away from home. Notable is Theresa, the operations manager who with her team handles the front of the house. Victoria does a great job keeping interesting events going on. Nelson, the owner, is a character with great passion for the US - while you may not always agree with his views, you certainly will never question his love of what his hard work and the opportunities of this nation have granted him. Elliotte does a thousand jobs including helping with communications and the website. And one cannot go on without mentioning Anna - the general manager who quite literally is the glue that keeps everything going. Hers is a thankless job of putting out fires, dealing with difficult customers, and ensuring that her team (mentioned or not) have the resources to have all run smoothly. If Casanel had a weakness in this area, it would be that this is not a place for loud drunken parties nor a place for children and animals to run unrestrained or without supervision - but to us, that is a strength and not a weakness. Other - As noted above, this is a catchall category for us. Casanel's main tasting room was hand built by its owner, and the secondary tasting room is a historical structure. Both are lovely as are the grounds. While the wine is a bit pricey, the quality is there and therefore in our books represents a good value. Further, there are a number of efforts that occur behind the scenes that also contribute to the experience. Be it from the vineyard crew who manage to keep the vines healthy and attractive in spite of weather and pests thus allowing quality fruit to be had to the production staff ensuring that quality never fails, there is significant effort that goes into the bottle before it is labeled. In closing, when one considers the consistent quality and superior customer service this small winery provides, it certainly should be on your list of wineries to check out.

The Bordeaux, Cab Sauv were very good, and the Norton was almost like a port, which I really enjoy. The Petit Verdot was the weakest of the batch by far and one I would never touch again. On the other end was the Carmenere which was an excellent wine I would absolutely come back for. Its quite a pleasant winery with some very good wines to try.

First, a shoutout to our wine server, Hannah, who was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the wines without ever making us feel like we needed a sommelier certification to enjoy them. She guided us through the $20 tasting, which included a wonderful mix of whites and reds. It worked out perfectly because I'm a white wine fan while my husband prefers reds, so naturally we shared every pour and declared ourselves a two-person tasting committee. Now let's talk about the food. The truffle popcorn should probably come with a warning label because it is highly addictive. We kept saying "just one more handful" until the bowl mysteriously emptied itself. The fresh baguette with pimento dip was equally delicious and paired beautifully with the wines. The winery offers plenty of seating options, whether you prefer lounging on the grass, relaxing indoors, or enjoying the covered patio. We chose the covered patio, which provided the perfect balance of fresh air, vineyard views, and shade. And yes, I'm actually going to mention the bathrooms. They were some of the nicest winery restrooms I've encountered--modern, spotless, stylish, and clearly well-maintained. It's one of those little details that says a lot about the overall experience. Great wine, delicious food, beautiful setting, immaculate facilities, and outstanding service from Hannah. Greenhill Vineyards has earned every one of these five stars. We'll definitely be back for another "research trip" in the near future.
