The outside was beautiful with plenty of outdoor seating. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great this day, so we sat inside. They have plenty of options in wine and beer, which is great for those who may not like one or the other. They also offer slushies!! Our friends ordered a bottle of the peach port, which gave us a small glass each. It is very sweet, but delicious. The service there was great! I can't remember the woman's name, but she was very helpful and informative. We plan to stop by another day, so we have more time to try their wines and do a wine tasting. We came here years ago immediately after they opened and were pleasantly surprised with how good the wine was for a new vineyard. We came back today for the first time in years, and wow - we were blown away. We did a wine flight, and each one we tried was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and delicious. My husband also tried their beer and was impressed. The sandwiches are generous in the servings of meat, and the bread was fresh and the perfect texture. On top of the delicious food and beverages, the location is beautiful. The only negative is that there were young children everywhere, but at least the shrieks they emitted were happy. There's a lot of space both indoors and outdoors, the food options are more limited, but we did not have any issues with that, and the wine and slushies were great. Just came here this afternoon with my dad and best friend and it is amazing. They have so much seating inside and outside to enjoy their beer and wine. The server was very friendly and told us rush have flights you can try the wine and beer together. They also have their own cider but it's only in bottles at least now in late May so we didn't get a chance to try it. The beer is good but is limited to only IPA, Pale Ale, Wheat Ale, and Hefeweizen. We tried all of them in the flights except the Hefeweizen and were quite impressed with the smooth, rustic, farmhouse taste. The wine is really amazing too. Our favorite was their award winning Five Dog Night that my dad got for me and my wife to enjoy as a gift as my best friend drove her to Dulles airport with us for beer flight to Seattle to see her family. The property is beautiful, comparing favorably to some of the other large wineries in the area, though with a distinctly more laid-back vibe. We were two families with kids, and there was plenty of room for the kids to play, including a mini-soccer field. The layout of the outdoor space also meant the kids couple play without disrupting other patrons, which is important to me. The wine and beer were both above average and the servers were very knowledgeable on their products. What an excellent spot for a chill, glorious afternoon! It's a bit off the beaten track so not yet mobbed, and there are only 20 or so tables so it feels less corporate than many of the larger nearby wineries. There are several tables, some in the shade, some not. For the kids, there's a huge heap of sand with toys which is a real hit, along with a structure made out of sticks for the kids to play inside. There's an outdoor bar, as well as an indoor bar, and then great live music. The indoor bar area has a single bathroom, but there are more bathrooms at a separate structure labeled family restrooms. The food options are limited: hot dogs and a few snacks, so that could be expanded. As for the wine itself, it's actually pretty good. I enjoyed my crisp Sauvignon Blanc, and the rose slushee's pretty clutch on a hot day. I'd like to try the other wines which also look good. read more

The tasting room is impressive as is their merch. Someone did a fantastic job designing the labels and coming up with cool merch ideas. The wine isn't great. We tried the bullfrog heritage, cab franc, mad frog, Merlot, five dog night, Rose, Bleu Blanc, Vivi Blanc and none were great. We enjoyed our Saturday afternoon visit to Bleu Frog. The wine tasting flights work a little differently than I experienced elsewhere (a limited number of wines, but a lot of wine in each sampler pour) and costs were not for the faint of heart. The venue is very pretty and the guitarist who played outdoors was quite good. We enjoyed the wine flights, breads and cheeses. In fact, thre are lots of snacks. In nice weather, this makes for a perfectly charming afternoon. There is some shade too (early birds get that worm). The wine is delicious, pretty much across the board. But the prices for everything make Wine prices were past our budget in terms of buying bottles, so Bleu Frog remains an occasional, special occasion destination. If we lived in Loudoun County, it would be a more regular haunt. read more

The Bleu Frog Vineyard is one of my favorite places of my trip to Virginia last week. Upon arriving here, I immediately noticed a sense of calmness. They have it all figured out, at Bleu Frog Vineyards. They have miles and miles of vineyards still growing. There was live music, and a space if you choose to have your own party. They didn't forget about the littles who are too young to enjoy wine. They have a whole mountain of sand, with trucks and cars to play with. There was a tunnel made of twigs that was perfect for playing in the shade. Dogs are also welcome to play here too. You can get their wine, in a bottle, in a glass, half a glass, and they'll let you sample anything. The wine I got was the Five Dog Night, this was so delicious! It's a red, very creamy, and a bit heavier, it's got obvious notes of plum and blackberry. This place is so peaceful, relaxing and a great little gem I'd for sure visit again when in the area. read more

In fact, after our first visit, we only order the slushies. The property is large, with new buildings including a new tasting room and a very clean building for bathrooms. I like this winery and it's so close to my house, so easy to stop on a whim. I prefer it in warmer months and it's also a fantastic winery to bring kids. They have a sand pit with lots of toy trucks and a tree branch tunnel. They just built a church that looks like it's right out of a Nicholas Sparks movie, if you're into that sort of thing. The whole vineyard is gorgeous and perfect for stunning photos. I framed the one I took here last year. The wine is simple and drinkable, with one of the best frozen Rosé in the area. I went there yesterday for the first and lady time. It was a beautiful day and sat outside. Ordered two glasses of wine a pretzel and a hot dog for $44. Then a tour bus pulled up right by all the tables running for 30 min. It was very loud and the exhaust was blowing directly into our wine and food. I nicely asked the driver to please turn off the bus while it was sitting there because the exhaust was coming right at the table while we were eating and drinking, He told me tough, He'll stay there for as long as he needs to. Staff were around as well as a guy driving by in a golf cart. No one did anything. The buss just sat there spewing the exhaust all over the table area. The people at the table right next to me left, as did we. And then saw them about 10 minutes later at another winery close by. I won't go back there. read more

Wow, what an unexpected gem. We have driven by this Vineyard just outside of Leesburg for years, and finally stopped in on this beautiful Labor Day Saturday. Everything was perfect, from the parking to the Restroom Barn to the beer and wine to the shady seating under a tree near the vineyards. We stopped and ordered at the first building, the outdoor bar, and it was wonderful and quick, but I would recommend going all the way up to the indoor bar, with air conditioning, a merch stand, all the same food and drink, indoor seating, along with three patios of outdoor seating and live music on a Saturday afternoon. Food is only hotdogs, pretzels and charcuterie, but we loved all of those, especially the charcuterie platter, which fed three of us with a huge variety of finger foods. I'd love to see more variety in the food choices, but we loved both of the white wines and both of the beers that we ordered. And the place is large enough to not even feel crowded. Perfect location along Route 15, Bleu Frog is a great spot for a summer afternoon. There were plenty of tables set up and they have an indoor/outdoor area to buy glasses of wine, bottles, snacks, and Froze slushies. A band was setting up in the afternoon and they have a GREAT new private party area that you can rent out. The owner was on property and came over to check in.
