We came here 17 years ago during an pre marriage celebration with our friends. It was a brand new winery, one of very few at the time. We rediscovered it today by chance, exploring the area, and were elated to see time hadn't changed it one bit: just as quaint and precious as it was then. Unlike the larger ones that lost their attractiveness over the last few years in a commercialized expansion on account of service and offerings, this place kept its intimacy, quality, and value. We were also excited to find two outdoor fire-pits for cold days seating out in the beautiful surrounding tree stand. Wines are just as good or better than average, club offering is very reasonable, and food quality is way above what is normally served at these establishments. To top it off, they are very people and dog friendly, which is hard to find anywhere nowadays. We live in Leesburg and always drove down to route 50 to enjoy an afternoon of winning and dining. No more! This is the place for us and you if you like this type of intimacy and quality just around the corner. Almost like our neighborly local pub. More reviews as we continue exploiting the benefits of our club membership. Check out the photos of this place and offerings.

I visited Hidden Brook Winery one hot and humid Sunday afternoon. Thank goodness for good air conditioning in the tasting room! I opted to taste the entire slate of wines - whites and reds. I had two different wine pourers during my tasting. Overall, the wines were enjoyable and the staff was friendly and answered my questions about the winery and their wines. The tasting concluded with a sampling of their white and red wine slashes. Cool and refreshing! The staff was friendly and interactive. I'd come back here again! #HiddenBrookWinery

Super friendly staff! Beautiful quaint grounds. Nice wines, kid friendly, Can being your own food. Check check and checkmate! Winner in my book. My favorite wine was the Cab reserve. Super tasty and drinkable.

My favorite wine in Loudoun County! My wife and I did a white flight and then a red flight, and really liked every wine! That just never happens! The staff is friendly and chill. Dog friendly inside and out.

Friendly service, pretty location with lots of winery neighbors. Maybe not my first stop, but I'd repeat it as part of a wine trail. They have an impressive selection of older vintages, and serve excellent Panini sandwiches. Hidden Brook and neighboring Lost Creek were originally part of the same winery family but several years ago Lost Creek was sold. Fortunately Hidden Brook is still going strong, with an emphasis on fruit forward Italian style wines. A full tastings is $12 for 10 wines, using locally sourced grapes. 2500 cases/year & 22 acres of vines. I liked a few from my tasting, but overall fruit forward wines are just not my style. But that probably says more about my palate than their wines. 2010 Chardonnay; pretty decent, fermented in both steel and neutral oak. 2012 Reserve White; off dry 2012 Vidal Blank; honey nose and somewhat honey on the palate Reds; 2010 Merlot; dark fruit 2012 Reserve Merlot; very nice (and I had a glass). 2012 Reserve Chambourcin; another one that I enjoyed, and not quite as fruit forward as I'm accustomed to for this grape 2012 Reserve Cab Sauvignon; very fruity nose, drinkable but didn't do anything special for me 2010 Cab Sauvignon; much softer than I expected for a vintage from a stellar year; maybe the tannins softened it up quite a bit 2012 Reserve Red; very nice 2011 Chambourcin; bad year for VA wine but this was excellent, and unexpectedly peppery

I'm with the other reviewers wondering where the grapevines are at Hidden Brook Winery. Are there any? Unfortunately the girl doing our tasting didn't mention anything about the winery itself and its workings. She was supremely pleasant and lovely, however. Our winery-freak friends who were escorting us around on a Potomac Circuit wine tour have been to Hidden Brook many times and know her quite well at this point, so all 8 of our tastings (a "dry" and a "sweet" for each of us) plus three bottles of wine were all comped! She told us the owners of the winery don't mind at all... The wines themselves here aren't super impressive. Included in the Dry Tasting were an '08 Chardonnay, '08 Reserve Red, '07 Cabernet Sauvignon, and '07 Merlot. None of them particularly stands out in my mind, although the Merlot was probably the best of the bunch. In the Sweet Tasting (I shudder just thinking about sweet wines) were an '08 Rosé, '06 Reserve White, '06 Vidal Blanc, '08 Sweet Amber, and '07 Late Harvest. The last four tasted like simple syrup to me, with the exception of the Late Harvest which tasted like watery simple syrup. Of the lot the Rosé was the most palatable. Wines themselves would get 2 stars, but the people working here get 5, and the setting gets 3. The tasting room is a rustic log-cabin building set back in a pine grove with enormous trees. There's a porch and a patio area where you can enjoy your wines and cheeses or charcuterie -- available in the tasting room for purchase -- in a shady clearing...next to the neighbors' above-ground pool. At the time of our visit, their bathroom was out of commission, tho: not at all convenient when the whole reason you're there is to get your drink on! Not sure I'd go back if I had to pay for everything...

I am basing my review solely off of the winery's Harvest House, which is used for private events such as the wedding I recently attended. The House is beautiful, spacious, and well decorated. There are two bars located within the house and several dining/seating areas for socializing. The vineyard is a short walk from the House and also provides excellent scenery for a wedding. There is a patio area with limited seating but several high top tables. My biggest complaint regarding the House is the fact that there is only one downstairs bathroom. There is also one located upstairs, but it can be difficult to find if you're not exactly sure where to look. Usually for private events such as weddings, the upstairs area is reserved for the bridal party which can make it difficult for regular guests to find. The service at the bar was wonderful and the waitstaff was friendly. The House was air conditioned, which was perfect for a summertime event!

We really enjoyed this winery nice log cabin atmosphere, the wines are absolutely great, this is a must stop on your wine tours, check out their vine membership 3 bottles $60.00 every quarter 20% off you wine purchases. Nice fire pit, they have a comedy night. All around it is a wonderful small winery. The chardeney is extremely good. Wow if you do a check in on Yelp you get $5.00 off on a bottle of wine

The layout of the outdoor space also meant the kids couple play without disrupting other patrons, which is important to me. We came back today for the first time in years, and wow - we were blown away. We did a wine flight, and each one we tried was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and delicious. My husband also tried their beer and was impressed. The sandwiches are generous in the servings of meat, and the bread was fresh and the perfect texture. On top of the delicious food and beverages, the location is beautiful. The only negative is that there were young children everywhere, but at least the shrieks they emitted were happy. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Loved all the greenery and they had lots of indoor and outdoor seating. When we first arrive we were a little confused on how things operated. There was no one to greet us at the entrance, so we had asked an employee who let us know we could wine taste at the bar and sit anywhere. We ordered from scanning the QR menu and placing the order on our phones. This place was pretty much a self service which gave a nice and chill vibe. We ordered a bottle of the 2024 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve. It was light, crisp and smooth which is what we were looking for. The food came out quickly too. We really enjoyed the crab dip! I ordered the steak frites as well. The fries were good but the steak was just okay in my opinion. Overall, the service was quick, the views were great, and we would definitely be back again to try more wine :)

First, a shoutout to our wine server, Hannah, who was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the wines without ever making us feel like we needed a sommelier certification to enjoy them. She guided us through the $20 tasting, which included a wonderful mix of whites and reds. It worked out perfectly because I'm a white wine fan while my husband prefers reds, so naturally we shared every pour and declared ourselves a two-person tasting committee. Now let's talk about the food. The truffle popcorn should probably come with a warning label because it is highly addictive. We kept saying "just one more handful" until the bowl mysteriously emptied itself. The fresh baguette with pimento dip was equally delicious and paired beautifully with the wines. The winery offers plenty of seating options, whether you prefer lounging on the grass, relaxing indoors, or enjoying the covered patio. We chose the covered patio, which provided the perfect balance of fresh air, vineyard views, and shade. And yes, I'm actually going to mention the bathrooms. They were some of the nicest winery restrooms I've encountered--modern, spotless, stylish, and clearly well-maintained. It's one of those little details that says a lot about the overall experience. Great wine, delicious food, beautiful setting, immaculate facilities, and outstanding service from Hannah. Greenhill Vineyards has earned every one of these five stars. We'll definitely be back for another "research trip" in the near future.

We came here first before heading to brunch and a second winery, and honestly, it set the tone for the entire day. The grounds are absolutely beautiful--peaceful, scenic, and everything you want when you're trying to escape the city for a bit. The wine selection is solid, and everything we tried was smooth, well-balanced, and easy to enjoy with friends. It's the kind of place where you can actually relax, take your time, and be present. What I love most about Greenhill is the vibe--it feels elevated without being pretentious. Just good wine, great views, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer. If you're planning a Middleburg wine day, start here. You won't regret it.
