My friends and I were looking for a winery with a nice view in the area and this place was perfect! It was not too far from home and the scenery was beautiful. Loved all the greenery and they had lots of indoor and outdoor seating. When we first arrive we were a little confused on how things operated. There was no one to greet us at the entrance, so we had asked an employee who let us know we could wine taste at the bar and sit anywhere. We ordered from scanning the QR menu and placing the order on our phones. This place was pretty much a self service which gave a nice and chill vibe. We ordered a bottle of the 2024 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve. It was light, crisp and smooth which is what we were looking for. The food came out quickly too. We really enjoyed the crab dip! I ordered the steak frites as well. The fries were good but the steak was just okay in my opinion. Overall, the service was quick, the views were great, and we would definitely be back again to try more wine :)
Came here Labor Day weekend it was absolutely slammed! The good news is we still got parking and a table, despite the huge amount of people. This place is massive, it basically has multiple spaces to seat anyone who wants to show up, including one for families and one for 21+. We sat in the adult only section and had food and wine delivered to our table via QR code. The view was spectacular, the food was good, the wine was good. The sauv blanc was my favorite. Next time we plan to come when it opens so we get a table with the awesome view.
This winery is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. The grounds are well maintained, there's plenty to do, and it's easy to relax and enjoy the atmosphere whether you're with friends, family, or on a date. The drinks are reasonably priced, especially for a winery, and the food was surprisingly good as well. Overall, it's a great spot to unwind, sip some wine, and make a day out of your visit.
4 1/2 stars. I took the metro from downtown Washington DC to Virgina where my uncles retired friend from over 50 years ago picked me up. It was a Monday, so she decided to bring us to one of the few wineries that were open for wine tasting. Formerly a cattle ranch, this three generation 300-acre estate is a family-owned winery. I discovered that Virgina was the first state to start producing wine since 1607. The estate is beautiful with a large wine tasting area and massive patio to enjoy with their fine wines and offer a diversified menu to dine on. Our sommelier was friendly and detailed with our tasting. I ended up purchasing a few bottles to enjoy and one gift bottle for our host. I would put Stone Tower Winery on your list of wineries to visit when you are in Leesburg VA.
The white wine here was so excellent!! The ambiance is so refreshing and I highly recommend a day here
Beeeeeautiful winery with a well kept & photo worthy property inside & out! There were several wines that I enjoyed here! It's pretty crowded during the summer, but even so the service is great!
Ambiance: beautiful property. There are 2 separate tasting rooms, one is for adults only. Seating can be found inside or outside. They had 3 cute ski gondolas you can reserve. Super cute!! Service: great service. There are QR code that you can order drinks and food. Food: Pizza was great! Wine were delicious as well.
This winery is absolutely stunning! My boyfriend took me here on a date and I loved it! There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. We did the wine tasting at the Harvest Barn Tasting Room. They had a signature tasting menu with a mixture of white, red, and rosé, but I requested only white wines and rosé since I typically don't enjoy red wine. The server graciously substituted the red wines for me and I loved all five types of wine that I tried! After wine tasting, we ordered some food and ate at one of the tables outside so we could enjoy the nice weather and the beautiful view. We got the burrata which came with baguette slices, tomato, and arugula. It was tasty and refreshing! We also ordered the mushroom sausage pizza. The crust was slightly burned and there were not enough mushroom in my opinion, but the sausage and cheese on it was good. The truffle fries were incredible and loved the sauce that it came with. We of course took pictures around the property and overall had a wonderful time. We plan to return in the fall!
I enjoyed my visit to the Stone Tower Winery. The staff were very nice and informative and the wine tasting was great. We also had lunch and I enjoyed my meal. We also order a bottle of wine and sat outside on the veranda and took in the fantastic view of the vineyard.
Love this winery! One of my favorite places to hang out at when the weather is nice! Wine and our Truffle Fries came promptly to the table after we ordered. For some reason though, our pizza took forever to come out, but once we were able to flag down a waiter, it was resolved. Overall, the food is good but on the pricier end as expected. There are many picture perfect locations around the property, and all the staff is extremely friendly!
I truly didn't know what to expect when coming here but I left pretty impressed. As I walked and turned more, the amoint of seating just kept going. I said wow! This was an extremely busy day. Everyone had the same idea because it was nice outside. The service was also pretty good for how busy it was. The staff was so nice!! All very knowledgeable about the wine and even let me sample some of the wine (Petit Manseng and Port) that wasn't on their menu and that I could only buy a bottle of. They had my favorite wine (Petit Manseng) but somehow I ended up loving the 2024 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve. I even ordered a glass of it after my tasting. It was light, smooth, and had a hit of guava taste to it. Very refreshing. Loved my pizza too! I was stuck between getting a pizza or their smash burger, but happy I chose the pizza. The brownie I got was pretty good too and apparently it was gluten free. The property is pet family friendly. I think the 21+ side looks the best and has better views as well.
Came here on a Sunday with a group of coworkers - the day was partly cloudy (photos attached) - and it was just beautiful and perfect!! The ambiance is absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of photo opportunities all around the property - the food/drinks, the landscape, the barn/gazebos/decor... plenty to see and it is very well maintained. The wine and food was also wonderful! As a gluten free person- they were incredibly knowledgeable and even had gluten free pizza which was delicious. Highly recommend that you come here my gluten free peeps! Service was great. I truly have no complaints and can't wait to return!

We had such a great experience at Stone Tower Winery! Coming on a Monday was perfect--it was peaceful, relaxing, and a great way to enjoy the beautiful property and views without it feeling too crowded. Sara took wonderful care of us and guided us through the wine tasting. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. We also ordered the charcuterie board, which was a little pricey, but it was very generously filled and ended up being worth it. Great wine, gorgeous views, and wonderful service. Definitely a lovely place to spend an afternoon! read more

Stone Tower Winery is a winery in Leesburg. It's a little hard to find on maps, but definitely worth the drive. There's 3 gates - the first one is general admission and the second one is 21+ only. If you're going with a group, make sure to tell them which lot you're parking in and where to find you since it's very easy to get lost. There's sooo much seating and it looked like you can make reservations for groups, so the ambiance is great for big parties or to celebrate an occasion (like a birthday or bachelorette). You can either be indoors or outdoors, but this place is very conducive to any type of group energy. Also, there's so much scenery and seating, it's soooo beautiful - great for pictures. To order food, you place an order outside at the barn and get a pager. It'll buzz and let you know when your food is ready for pickup. You can also order wine downstairs by the bottle and get as many glasses as you'd like for sharing. There's also a small gift shop as well. The food was expensive, but good quality overall. The chicken strips and fries with a peach tea was $20, but the vibe was worth it so I didn't really mind. I'd definitely come here to celebrate something with a group! read more
Outstanding wines served at a great winery with soothingly scenic views. I was so impressed by the wine quality that I joined their wine club. Everyone we met with for wine, food, and vinicultural knowledge was exceptionally pleasant and helpful (Rebecca, Kevin, Maureen and Elizabeth). We planned on 1-1/2 hours, yet spent 3 delightful hours there. The cellar tour was both enjoyable and informative, especially since it was accompanied by glasses of wine so we could taste what was being described in the barrels. Can't wait to return. read more

Such a relaxing environment with comfortable seating. Cushions can be cleaned. The staff was really friendly and checked in a few times to give us a heads-up about last call, which was actually appreciated. We ordered the margarita pizza, sausage & pepperoni, and truffle fries--everything tasted fresh and homemade. We had a wine that we loved--fresh, crisp, and semi-sweet--but totally forgot the name. (If you're curious, just show them the picture of the bottle below and they'll know what you're talking about.) Bonus: they give you complimentary wine glasses to take home! Parking can get tight, especially on weekends, but there's usually a good amount available. Definitely a spot I'd return to. read more
My first time in over a year and this winery and it was better than I remembered! It was definitely a nicer weekend so I was expecting them to be busy which they were- but they were also very efficient. They have two buildings and pretty ample indoor and outdoor space. I actually love their harvest barn that has indoor tables and the tasting bars but was not overpacked. The wine here is really good- I'm partial to the sparking wines but also enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc and the reserve Chardonnay. The person who conducted my tasting was so nice and she adjusted to my white, rose and sparkling preference so easily. I really appreciated the conversation and background of the wine. Also had some snacks (chicken tenders and fries) that were a good compliment to the wine! read more

One of our favorite wineries - best views, wine, and pizza in the DMV. Our favorite bottle is the Wild Boar Sanglier Noble. The grapes are shipped from California so it doesn't have the "Virginia skunk" taste many vineyards have in the area. We always pair it with a wood-fire pizza. We have made it a goal to try every single one on the menu with our favorites being the pepperoni and the hogback. Service is always fast and friendly. The place gets busy so come early! read more

Service: Very warm and welcoming. I took my parents to the winery, it was their first time and had a zillion questions. Staff were patient in explaining the details. Ambiance: the Views, and views in every direction. Scenic and peaceful. Perfect place for photo shoots Food: we had truffle fries, gelato,pizza and chicken tenders. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend. They have ample parking too! read more

Came for my friend's bridal shower and it really is a great spot for big groups! The food was solid and the wine was, of course, great. Service was alright; they weren't the friendliest and we had some issues with some of our orders (one order wasn't properly sent in and there was a while where no one checked up on us). I think it'd be a great wedding venue, though, and judging from the other reviews it seems service is usually better (to clarify, it wasn't bad, just not the most inviting vibe when we went). read more
Incredible views, expansive outdoor and upstairs dining areas easily accommodate the crowds on the weekends when the weather is nice. The wine is actually great as well! The Nebbiolo is our go to, but have also enjoyed the other varieties sampled. It's an entire experience whenever we visit and appreciate the family / dog friendly atmosphere. Food is ordered in a separate "barn" and you get a buzzer to pick up when ready. read more
Really lovely winery with a ton of places that you can sit and enjoy the views. There is seating inside, rocking chairs, picnic tables, bar tables, and so many options. They have a really nice food menu to pick from too. We got the butter board and the brussels sprouts. I really liked the cinnamon butter. It was so yummy with the bread and went perfectly with the wine. I would recommend this spot! read more
This vineyard is absolutely adorable! We came here on a Friday afternoon and we're very happy with the selection of high quality wines, great views and excellent food. The hummus was fabulous and dairy free. They had perfectly crispy French fries, that came with and without further seasoning. There were more substantial food options, but we did not order those this time. The wine was all wonderful. We tried out a few of the whites before settling on a Chardonnay and a Riesling. The service was quick and the atmosphere was just beautiful. They had a covered indoor area, plenty of outdoor seating and everything in between. They have seating options from high top tables to rocking chairs to more of a couch like outdoor setup. Overall a perfect vineyard to visit! read more
It's a hot 94 degree Saturday in July and the place is packed!!! Seriously guys with backlot parking. They had a wedding and another function and their come as you are section. The staff is great and they are fully active. We didn't wait at all. There were hundreds of people and they know how to move a crowd! Choose from their reds or whites, it was hot we did a bottle of white and ordered wonderful food from their outdoor food location. Could we actually find seating with so many people? Yes we can. It was like only at half capacity! This place caters to you finding your own adventure. We absolutely loved the staff and comfort and the dog friendly/kid friendly experience. They even rent Airbnb experiences. (Next time for sure) read more

First off, this place is beautiful! Thankfully, when we visited, it wasn't as packed as it could have been. There's plenty of parking, and the winery has three different sections. I forgot the third section, but the first one is family-oriented and welcomes dogs, while the second is for adults 21 and over. Whether with family or on a date night, it's perfect. We even strolled down to the pond, and the vineyard felt magical. Weddings are an option here, and the staff was excellent. We didn't eat there, but the food looked absolutely delicious. Had I known in advance, we would have definitely dined there. read more

Amazing place! Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of our food, BUT it was after our wine tour with Karen. Stone Tower winery was beautiful. The service was classic. We plan to visit again. We started with truffle fries before our tour scrumptious! After I THINK we had a mushroom pizza! I was slightly toasted :) Everything we ate was very delicious. read more
Beautiful winery & amazing staff! I visited to experience their winter time gondola's. It's super cute & they're heated. Our waiter took us on a tour of the amenities and offered to take all of our pics & videos...so nice. read more
Oh this place is beautiful fun. The wines were also decent and one of the reds was complex tasting like what you would find in fine dining featuring the petit Verdot grape. Staff were well informed and conversant on the wines - it felt like an East Coast version of Napa only more fun. read more

What a great winery! The tasting rooms is beautiful and the views are outstanding. I love that they have an adults only tasting room. That's definitely a plus!!!! The grounds are gorgeous and there are many places to sit outside to take in the views and enjoy you wine. I tried the Rose'. It wasn't too sweet. I'm not really a white/rose' girl but this was lovely. It was such a hot day I wanted something chilled. lol I highly recommend this winery! It's worth the trip from downtown DC. read more
It is a busyyyyyy winery. We shared a bottle of pinot, a charcuterie board, fries, and pizzas. We sat outside but could only sit and eat so long before we decided to come inside with the crowd for warmth and do a stand up tasting. I honestly think that for $25, the tasting was a steal, as I am used to Napa Valley, CA prices of $50-$70 per tasting! While I did not leave with a bottle, I was so intrigued with their efficient wine openers I ended up ordering one for myself. I can't wait to come back, but with more layers this time! read more

They don't have any... No good winery would have a "selection" of sweet wine, rather a select few might have a dessert wine.
