Great views of the rolling hills and friendly service. Kids welcomed (but upstairs is adults only). A large menu, pizza, charcuterie, sandwiches, etc. but the food was just ok. I got a flight and did not like any of the wines; many were very very sweet.

Nice service and scenery. Beautiful view since the winery sits way up at the top of the hill. We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. I had a chicken pesto sandwich with chips on the side which was delish. Others ordered the pizza, cheese, and hummus platter. Note: no outside food allowed. Sorta bummed because I packed a small travel cooler with fruit and snacks, but I didn't check their website in advance. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time at Chrysalis. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, which really helped. It wasn't super busy during our visit, which was nice. I love that they have a childfree area. We really, really enjoyed the wine. I did the dry flight and my friend went with the Norton flight. I was really impressed by the wine. The few VA wineries I've been to in the past few years have left me unimpressed. But Chrysalis has great wine. My favorite was the alvarinho verde. I got a glass after and then my friend got a glass of her favorite, the Sarah's Patio. They also have great food so you don't need to worry about bringing anything (which isn't allowed anyway). The pizza crust could've used more color, but overall the flavor was on point. I'm looking forward to returning in the spring as they have a gorgeous outdoor area.

I can't believe I waited so long to come here! This place is AMAZING!!! Location is great! Service was one of the best things and then the wine omg wow! We got the Mariposa rose and loved it. We also got a Marguerite pizza. Pretty DISAPPOINTED to be honest. It was over cooked to the point where it was burnt and almost not edible but we were so hungry and did wait at least 20ish minutes for it, we just didn't want to complain and wait to get a good one. Ambiance wise: lake a little vineyard-winery warmth for my taste ;) Pizza was my only complaint. Everything else was absolutely wonderful! Can't wait to come back during the warmer season! Oh, did I mention I love the fact that they close at 8?!

What a great venue!!! Our family had a lovely picnic (indoors)!! It was quite hot out and most of the tables were taken. We ok some beautiful pictures outside. Great views! Good service too!

The views alone speak for itself! It's spacious and gorgeous! Plenty of IG worthy pics! Visited a few days ago with some friends but can't say that I'd be impressed to return. We walked in and literally no one greeted us. That was already a bad vibe for me. Since we were already here, we were going to make the most of it. We proceeded upstairs to grab some seating. Then we went back downstairs to order pizza and a few bottles of wine. They have 4 tasting flights available for $12. I ended up getting a bottle of their Mariposa (it's a dry rose) and it wasn't bad. The bottles were reasonably priced! The pizza was really good. My review rating is based on how I felt the staff interacted or rather did not. Even when we ordered the pizza and wine, they didn't say anything! Maybe it was just an off day but either way, pretty place but there are many others in this area I'd like to check out!

His knowledge of wine, the grapes, and the high praise of their wine maker really made the whole experience so much better. The low sulfites bring out the flavors of the wine and make it truly enjoyable. The white wines were nice but the reds are the ones to bring home. I must say, huge compliments to the wine maker who is trying something different and new with bold and delicate flavors. The remodeled horse stable presents a beautiful ambiance with a fireplace and windows all around to absorb the views. The main level and the upstairs area are nicely designed in a modern rustic style. The outdoor patio is perfect for the summer or fall days. We also met Elizabeth who is a treat to chat with. We started at Greenhill Vineyard (still one of my absolute favorites), then had a phenomenal brunch at Salamander Middleburg, and wrapped everything up at Cana. And honestly? Ending here was the right choice. The views are stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the wine made it easy to fully settle in and unwind. There's a relaxed elegance to Cana--it doesn't try too hard, but still delivers a really elevated experience. After a full day of good food, great wine, and even better company, this was exactly the reset we needed. It felt like luxury, but approachable. Intentional, but effortless. Simple questions about the wines were met with "I don't know, ask someone else," which took away from the experience. Later, family and friends joined us, bringing the group to around 14 people. Everyone continued purchasing wine, drinks, and food throughout the visit, but the manager told us we needed to move outside despite many open tables being available. We offered to split into smaller groups, but the situation quickly became confrontational and included threats to remove us from the property. Had there been policies for larger groups or additional fees, we would have completely understood if they had been communicated upfront. Instead, the interaction felt unnecessarily hostile and unwelcoming. Beautiful property, but unfortunately the hospitality did not match the setting.

They had one marked for families and one for adults. And it is indeed dog friendly. There was plenty of space for dogs outside with a pet station. The day we went it was very windy so we headed straight inside. The tasting area is open and they have clear covers on the openings to keep the warmth from the heaters in and all the crazy wind and cold out. We opted to do a tasting and Emma assisted us. We did the traditional tasting and were able to try three reds and three whites. It seems like there was something to everyone because folks had different favorites. Emma talked us throihh each selection and happily answered all our questions about wine. After our tasting we were hungry and decided to get two pizzas and some dips. I also tried their cider which was yummy. The pizza was good, we had the mushroom flatbread and pepperoni pizza. Both were yummy or we were really tipsy lol! The icing on top of the experience was the live music. There was a musician singing and playing the guitar that really set the mood. We sat down inside, sipper our drinks, ate our food and played games. Hope to come back with the dogs in warmer weather.
