We decided to split the $15 tasting of 7 wines. My friend was driving. All were good. Stand out comments: the Tango Blu was my favorite and I bought a bottle. The blush wasn't pink but loved it and the strawberry came through. The fat ass red was really good and had a good story. I bought a bottle of that as a hostess gift for a friend (who does NOT have a fat ass btw). Lol. Loved the service. Friendly and chatty. We stayed inside but the outside looked nice too.

We just finished a fantastic wine tasting. The staff is very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. The wines were so good we left with 3 different bottles. If you are in the area do yourself a favor and stop in...you won't be disappointed

I had planned on stopping here, but we kept going by this locate along the highway and said we got to stop. I was a bit confused when I arrived and parked in the back and walked into what I thought was the winery but a restaurant. Then I realized that the building has multiple businesses in the same building. We arrived at the winery at the right time. Nobody was really there. They had a couple trying wines and then us. Our waiter was incredible and explained really good about the different wines. One of the things he did was dry to sweeter and then started back with white. A purpose for that and it made sense after he explained why. We tried all of the wines. I thought they were all superb. The reds were great, but I only chose one red wine and a white. The reds were pricey like most wines in the area. Big Ass Red was my favorite. The couple trying wine, the young lady was from Uniontown, PA in which were are from the area as well but live near Pittsburgh, PA. The winery expert behind the bar is from McKeesport along with his wife. Small world. I'd recommend going here. It's nice a quiet place to have some wine.

Nice little winery tasting room right off of Route 7. The tasting room was empty when I rolled in - humid, rainy day. The two staff members greeted me and we kicked off a full wine tasting. The wines were nice - I especially enjoyed the Reds. The tasting room ambiance is very comfy. The two staffers I interacted with - were friendly, fun, and personable. We had some interesting conversations. #BogatiWinery

Beautiful rustic theme wine tasting room. We went on a Friday night- no one was really there. Wines were ok, did not find a favorite except for their most popular- FatAss Red. Bartender was not helpful- you expect them to assist you throughout the tasting or even selecting other wines to match your preference. Update: owner reached out and appreciated the feedback. Customer Service is everything and for that I'll definitely come again!

    Pepperoni pizza was good!!

Enjoyed all the wines here. The host was kind and made us laugh. I would come back again as we tried 7 wines and liked them all. The Malbec was delish, and only slightly peppery. Their whites are dry and tangy. I really enjoyed everything here.

Bogati is a winery that uses a very different business model. While most wineries set up shop in a farm, Bogati has a tasting room right off the highway, next to an art store and Mom's Apple Pie (which I TOTALLY recommend as well). But don't be fooled; this family is deeply involved in all aspects of the wine making process, from growing grapes to making the final product. According to my absolutely amazing server Sherry, in addition to Bogati (serving their Argentinian style wines), the family also owns nearby Veremar winery (Italian styles) and James Charles winery (French styles). All utilize the same 30-plus acre vineyard at Veremar, so I'd say that meets the criteria for being mostly 'estate'. All of them also make around 2,500 cases/year. While the tasting room lacks vine-clad views, it does have a nice porch behind the tasting room overlooking the pond. It's certainly easier to visit here than trekking down a dirt road like most places I've been to lately. What I tried: 2015 Seyval Blanc: Neutral Oak, tart, Granny Smith finish. B Thin: Pinot Gris: A low-calorie, summer sipping wine. So light I barely noticed anything on my palate, but the low sugar content is why it's called "B Thin". Viognier: Light apricot notes. "Tango" white blend (Riesling, Vidal Blanc, and Viognier): The sweetest of the bunch, but in reality calling it off-dry would be generous. NV Collection I (Merlot, Cab Franc, Cab Sav): Nice red berry nose, earthy finish. NV Fat Ass red (Merlot, Malbec, Cab Franc, Cab Sav): Softer than the Collection I; maybe it had less Cab Franc? Gets the name from the bold finish. 2015 Merlot: Plumb notes; not bad. 2015 Malbec: Ohhhh baby! Strong nose, medium to full bodied. I rarely see Virginia Malbecs, and those I do see are usually lighter bodied wines from Charlottesville. I was afraid this would be too soft, but I was pleasantly surprised by how full it was. I totally would have gotten a bottle if my Christmas shopping wasn't finished.

Pizza and Fat Ass red wine...

Directly off the highway if your going to fast you'll miss it. The road is definitely Corvette friendly. There is a restaurant right next door (not affiliated with the winery). Dogs are allowed outside. There is a pond connected to the property. Decent amount of outside seating. Now to the wines or should I say wine. They are not doing flights. So I asked the young lady what would she recommend for a full bodied red. She highly recommended FAT ASS red. It was good, smooth with a little pepper on the end (Malbec, Cab Sav, Cab Franc and Merlot) not a lot of tannic structure but was good. There pizza was also very good. Def. worth a visit... SWaddell

Great food, good wine. BUT when 4 wines are public, and 7 are members only, something is BROKEN.

They offered both tastings and flights, but my friend and I both chose a glass of Rosé. The staff member had described it as crisp and dry, but it was still a bit too sweet for my preference - not terrible though. We sat on the rocking chairs outside and admired the nice view of green fields. I think they were setting up for a private event in the meantime, because people kept showing up with their own trays of food, and a whole bunch of children and dogs. Overall, we liked the ambiance here but the wine wasn't especially memorable and service was lukewarm.

This place is serene and extremely peaceful and I could probably just sit outside and take everything in for hours. There are a few boardgames to play as well. There aren't a lot of seating inside, but during the daytime, the place was very laid back and not overcrowded. There are no marked parking spaces, but people typically park on the grass and there is ample space for so many cars. The interior of the main building was very simple and "bare bones" but had a homely charm to it and the lovely woman who served our flights was such a gentle, warm person who complemented the peacefulness of the place! My friend and I ended up buying our own bottles of wine and my fiance absolutely loved the Barren Ridge's Touriga wine that I got for him! Will definitely be back to bring him the next time around! Just a great place to take a step back and enjoy some wine!

Let me first add the context that I don't really identify as a wine drinker, but will still occasionally visit vineyards because I think the experience is nice. 61 vineyard was a cool spot for sure. They have a nice open location with tons of space (I think they said around 40 acres) and they've been expanding their main location for the four years that they've been open. They have a main tasting room, an expansion seating room, and an outdoor patio area that are all well maintained and great for parties of all sizes. I partook in the wine tasting which was very good and the staff was very friendly and easy to talk to (which I find often makes or breaks wine tasting experiences) The wine itself does seem on the pricier end for what I'm used to where I think the average bottle here goes for over $20. But there are also member and subscription types of services to take advantage of discounts. I'm not entirely sure if they have relationships with food vendors, but they didn't have many food option in the main location itself when we were there. The food options that I saw were prepackaged charcuterie packs, so I would keep that in mind for your visit. All in all a very nice winery spot and would recommend even if wine isn't typically your drink of choice.

I'm not sure how tastings would work when they are more busy. We went at opening on a Friday, so we could sit at the bar and hear about all the wines. There were so many good wines, but the Albariño really stood out as crisp and fresh and different.
