Such a shame as i wanted to try this place for a while. I went in for happy hour at 4.30pm but was told the staff were not in to serve and was sent away and told to come back later. Such great service!!

Le Bistro is a wonderful addition to the Vienna restaurant scene. We opted for the restaurant week menu, which offered a nice "tour" of their dishes. The servers were all friendly and attentive, which I always appreciate. Food: highlights were the Onion Soup Gratin (amazing!) and filet of Trout Amandine. My date thought that the meat quality of the Steak Frites needs some improvement. Oh - and the bread with herbed butter was fresh & delicious. The featured desserts were the perfect way to complete our meal. I especially loved the Bistro Mousse Au Chocolat with raspberry coulis. I will most definitely be back!

Overall I'd give it 3.5 stars. The service was 5 starts but the food was a mixed bag. We started with bread and butter, the baguette was the warm and crispy perfection! The escargot was quite enjoyable with the baguette. I expected fresh parsley and garlic, but it tasted like a frozen version. The onion soup was suspiciously too sweet! The Duck Confit was pretty good, but the meshed carrots were way too rich with duck fat in it, and the fried potato cubes were over salty. You see the pattern here? Someone in the kitchen needs to lighten the hand! The best was the Lamb Tenderloin, not overly salty with plenty of meat and vegetables, just the way I like it. The Sautéed Spinach was also too salty and we couldn't eat more than a bite. We took it home to give it a hot water bath. But we did indulge a little dessert, the macaroon was not overly sweet, just right! I'm glad that we have a French bistro in the hood, albeit the food was way too salty for us to fully enjoy. Hope they will improve over time!

The aesthetics and vibe of this restaurant is on point with French theme. We ordered a mussels which was cooked with creamy leek and that dish alone deserves a 5 star. It came with French fries and wish there was an option to substitute. I do have to say the service seems to be on a little shaky grounds since they may need more help. We went in when it first opened and it wasn't crowded but it was hard to get them to come by. We wanted a little more bread to dip in the mussels and had to ask 2-3 times. Once more dinner crowds got in they were more attentive. I'd like to come back and try other menu items and hope to see it gets better.

Yallll this place is PACKED! Okay Vienna I see that you like French and not Latin American. I loved the place that was here before Le Bistro, but I guess Vienna couldn't appreciate it. Anyways. Service was great! The host was fantastic and made sure we were comfortable, as he sat us near the back door and it was chilly every time they opened it. The manager came by a few times to check in, which was nice. My husband got a steak and was pleased with it. I ordered the duck and wish it were a little more tender and juicy. Overall it was a good meal. I expected better because many people from Vienna were raving about it. Check it out yourself!

Excellent dining experience! Had a reservation for 7 people and we were sat right away. The appetizers were delicious, especially the snails in the parsley butter. Dip your bread in that butter and you won't be sorry. All the entrees were great however, the star was the duck confit! The service was wonderful and very attentive. The restaurant is cozy, inviting and charming. We have been here for brunch as well which was also a treat. This restaurant will continue to be on our list!

My wife and I had an absolutely amazing dinner at Le Bistro on Church St in Vienna tonight. They start off with bread that comes with French onion whipped butter. I started with a glass of Bordeaux and my wife had a sparkling white wine. I had the steak fries, and my wife ordered the duck confit. The steak was cooked perfectly, and very, very tender. The fries were excellent as well. The duck confit was also amazing, it comes with a potato side and both came with a side salad. Did I mention it was an absolutely amazing dinner? I guess I did but it's worth repeating . For dessert we shared snow eggs with caramelized almonds. A fluffy, sweet delicious end to our amazing dinner. We will return, probably many, many times, and we both highly recommend Le Bistro.

3.75 - service was fantastic - friendly and helpful (which I didn't expect after several bad experiences with service at their sister restaurant Roberto's). Decor has been changed from the earthy Blend 111 space to generic French paintings with grays and whites that make for an upscale casual vibe. The front of the house seating was very drafty - we were so cold we had to cover our legs with our coats. Food was a bit hit and miss, but the highs were very high. Their bread is out of this world (I was told they source it from a special bakery in New Jersey). The server recommended a "rabbit foie gras" appetizer - I didn't know what he was talking about so I said let's try it. Unfortunately, the dish was like a bland, dense, rabbit meatloaf. It had little to no flavor and the texture was unappetizing. When the server asked for feedback I let him know it was bland and overly dense - he apologized and took it off the bill. The manager came by to ask for additional feedback and was very gracious. My salade lyonnaise was delicious (could've used a touch more salt, but great otherwise). My wife really enjoyed her tomato and fennel soup. Unfortunately the fish special (dorado - or mahi mahi) was underwhelming. The fish was cooked nicely, but lacked flavor. The sauce was delicious too - but something about the way the food was plated didn't allow for the sauce to accompany the fish as it was buried underneath green beans and mushrooms. A couple small tweaks could make it good though. I sadly didn't get a photo of the duck confit, but I have to say this dish stole the night. Super crispy skin with tender, juicy, succulent meat. The potatoes on the side were extra garlicky and served as a great delivery mechanism for the jus served on the side. I would come back time and again for that duck. Our server recommended the apple tart for dessert, and we're so glad he did. This is one of the best desserts I've had in months. Flakey, buttery pastry with perfectly sweet and tart apples served with house made ice cream were all incredible. The portions were generous so we both left full. The bill was $126 which I thought was reasonable. Despite a couple of misfires this place was good, and we will definitely be back.

He seemed to know a lot of the customers which makes it feel homey. They gave complimentary bread which came with butter, olive oil, balsamic, and other fixings. The bread was super soft on the inside and had a nice crunch from the exterior. My boyfriend and I ordered the calamari, scaloppini mare terra, fettuccini con funghi, and fettuccini al frutti di mare. In simple terms: calamari, a seafood vodka pasta, fettuccini alfredo w mushroom, and veal with lobster bits served with green beans and scalloped potatoes. Surprisingly, I didn't love the calamari. It had a good size but lacked flavor. It also could have been cooked a tad bit more for better color and texture. The fettuccini alfredo was super creamy and had such a strong mushroom taste! The veal was nice but a bit chewy for my liking. The scalloped potatoes were good but nothing special. However the star of the show was the seafood vodka pasta! It had such an amazing vodka flavor with loads of seafood! I have to admit, they put way too many calamari pieces and not enough of the other items mentioned in the dish. Another thing was that I found a strand of hair on my plate. When I notified the server, he said it was just from the green beans but would exchange it for me. Later, he explained that the "hair" was green bean skin.. which was odd to me considering the hair was turning black to white. I didn't appreciate him trying to make an excuse. I decided to look past it even though the server didn't apologize. Good first experience (other than the piece of hair). The seafood vodka pasta is def a must-have. The vibes are great and the owner makes you feel like family.

However, we never saw Kelly from the time she took our order until we finished eating. She then showed up with an empty wine glass, said the wine order did not get put in, and asked if I still wanted it. I said "no" since we were done with our meal. At that time, I requested the Cheesecake w/cherries for my complimentary dessert, a small box for pizza, and the check. More than 20 minutes later, Kelly brought a box and the check, but no dessert. She then asked if I "had decided" on a dessert. I repeated that I would like Cheesecake with cherries. After nearly 30 minutes there was no sign of our waitress and no dessert. We were not happy at this point, left cash payment on the table, and walked out. We have eaten at Reston 60 Vines multiple times. No complaints about previous visits; food and service were very good. However, due to the long waits, inattention, and mistakes by our server on this visit, we were very disappointed. We felt management should be aware of this so they can correct the problem. I'm sure you expect better from your employees. We will have to think twice about dining on your patio this summer. Linda

I got chicken piccata and my friend chose a pasta with red sauce and meat, I forget the name, but she told me it didn't have much flavor. I actually enjoyed my dinner, the chicken wasn't rubbery but also not very tender, and the sauce was what brought it together. It was lemony but not too overpowering as I know to many capers can make a dish sour and bitter. An issue was getting the server's attention, even though he was nice and attentive when he came by, he didn't really check on us, and I had to ask twice for the complimentary bread initially. My friend wanted to get another coke but we had to try and find him to flag him down, and honestly the restaurant didn't seem that busy, a lot of tables were empty, so I'm not sure if our little corner was forgotten. The other time we went, we both got different types of pasta with one undercooked and the other overcooked, which is why I avoided the pasta this time in favor of the chicken and broccolini. I'm not sure if I'll come back to try the pizza. At least the coffee was good at the end that I ordered, and my friend liked her dessert as well.

A couple we've befriended told us they lived in Fairfax for several years. They are big fans of Dolce Vita. We were told that a reservation is necessary as the place is popular. We decided to finally try Dolce Vita this past Saturday and reserved a table for an early dinner. When we got there, the place was practically empty. We were seated at a four-top table and were told that they had hosted a large party earlier in the day. They were still rearranging the dining room when we arrived. The staff was friendly and efficient. During our meal, the manager checked on us more than once. Alas, there is no sign in the dining room indicating where the restrooms are, so we asked the server for their location. Sadly, we weren't impressed with the food. We started with a bruschetta appetizer and also ordered some garlic bread. When the bruschetta arrived, it was very attractively presented. It consists of: "roasted garlic, tomatoes, basil, and fresh mozzarella". The bread was tough and chewy, with little garlic flavor. We've had bruschetta before, and it was made with fresh tomatoes. I picked up a piece, bit into it, only to have half of the toppings fall on the table. The fresh mozzarella was basically 4 thin, small slices that one adds to their serving rather than a sizable ball of mozzarella. There was also a small pile of microgreens that were meant to be added to the bruschetta, an unusual addition. I ended up cutting up the bread, which wasn't easy. Nothing like having to fight with one's food. For my main course, I chose "chicken piccata," which consists of "pan-seared chicken and broccolini in a lemon, caper, and white wine sauce". The chicken breast was well prepared, moist, and tender. The sauce was fine, although I wished it had more capers. As for the broccolini, it was barely cooked at all, not even tender crisp. Again, I had to fight with a menu item. My husband chose to have "baked ziti bolognese al forno" which consists of "ricotta, tomato sauce, beef bolognese and mozzarella." He found part of a bay leaf in the dish. The dish was very cheese-forward, and the cow had walked through it, leaving very little of itself behind. In conclusion, we don't plan to return as it was rather disappointing.

I made a New Years Eve dinner reservation for our group of 8 over Open Table on Dec. 2 (almost a month in advance). With numerous half-hour interval times to choose from, I selected 7:30pm. My reservation was accepted and confirmed. I am sure the restaurant was notified within no time. On Dec. 30 (4 weeks later), Sayeed, the owner, phoned me and in what sounded like accusatory tone asked me why I made the reservation for 7:30, because he said I was supposed to have known he was only doing seatings 4pm, 6:30pm and 9 pm and that the times and the menu were posted on his Facebook page. Who checks Facebook? There was nothing on the restaurant's website. I told him I couldn't have known that because Open Table offered times all night long and it had accepted my reservation. He admitted that "maybe I should have changed Open Table sooner." Really? He repeatedly tried very hard to push me to change to the 9pm seating, but I told him that was too late for us 70+ year old folks to begin eating. Then, he told me "it is obvious (I) you are unwilling to work with (him) me. So, come in at 7:30, and we'll seat you when we can." Yeah, right! So, the fully booked dining room starts dinner at 6:30, and when was he likely to have a table for the 8 of us? Guessing we'd have had to stand around til very close to 9pm! He closed the conversation by telling me "I don't have time for this." And he hung up on me. I called him back to cancel our reservation. It took under 2 minutes for me to receive an email from Open Table confirming the restaurant cancelled my reservation. This is why I am confident he was notified on Dec. 2 that my reservation had been booked and confirmed. #VIennarestaurant #Caferenaissance #Frenchfood
