A nice and cozy ambiance, I can only assume this feels like a cafe in France would. I don't know much about french food, but the omelette, croissant, and pastries were of a higher quality than anything short of a michelin star reataurant and tasted simply amazing. The service, however, was not very good. Our waitress rarely returned to the table, only once refilling our small water glasses. They brought us the wrong side, and considering their menu is rather short and our order was quite simple, this didnt make much sense. They dont have much seating available, only about 10 tables total, and when we arrived 3 tables were already seated and dining. While others arrived and were seated after we had placed our order, they still took a long time for our food to be served, and considering they got 2 tjings wrong in our order we had to wait evwn longer for them to correct it. Finally, when leaving, I was completely ignored at the counter while waiting to order a few pastries to go. Being busy is understandable, but at least an aknowledgment would have gone a long way.

Fresh ingredients, friendly service and charming ambiance We came Sunday around noon and there were several available tables. It is a tight space so if you have a big party, try to make a reservation. They have several outdoor cafe tables as well. Ratatouille tasted like it was fresh from the vegetable garden. The quiche was rich with a delicate crust. Pastries were delicious! The croissant muffin was my favorite.

Everything is great! The ambience, the food, the service! Even the chefs would come out to check on you! Everything we ordered is scrumptious. Their wine selection is well picked. All pastries are delectable and yummy! It's a great lunch date area, a cute friend meet-up spot or a quaint coffee break in the Clifton location!

Highly recommend this simple and quaint cafe for a cozy meal with high quality ingredients and preparation. It's like dining at your fancy aunt's house. We purchased some items out of the pastry case (apple turnover, leek croissant, blueberry cream cheese croissant) and all were perfect in terms of texture and flavor. The entree items were all exceptional; full of flavor and prepared with precision. My only regret was that I came too early and would not be able to enjoy the lunch items such as coq au vin. I shall return :)

Lovely place! We had an amazing experience with friendly service and delicious meal. We went there on a Saturday morning for a brunch menu and everything was tasty. We also got some pastries and cakes to go and it was one of the best cakes I've ever had! I would love to go back for their dinner menu as well. Reservations are recommended.

Authentic French cuisine! Service was excellent as well, we did not have reservations, but the friendly staff accommodated us quickly. The ambiance is a cute bistro and I can't wait for warmer weather to sit outside soon. We had theFrench onion soup, which was prepared in a lighter style and more authentic than the dark soups you ate probably use to in the US versions. Highly recommend coming here and grabbing a freshly made pastry. They go quickly!

A bit a France nearby us. Outstanding selections. Pastries! Only lunch until Friday's dinners.

Had lunch here on a Saturday -- cozy restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was kind and polite. We also had the opportunity to meet the Chef! Very sweet and you can tell how much joy it brings him to see folks enjoying their meals. My friend and I shared 3 dishes together (captioned in picture). Everything was delicious but my favorite had to be the Croque Monsieur and the salad that came with it. It was so savory! We also had a cup of Cafe creme. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!

Was looking for a cozy place for weekend breakfast. Found this little gem in Clifton. Environment is very nice. We sat next to the window. We ordered omlete and quiche Lorraine. Both dish were delicious. All servers are nice and attentive. We wrapped up with coffee and napoleon which brought us perfect experience in this restaurant. The restaurant is small so recommended to make reservation in advanced.

I have been here a few times and it is always amazing!! The ambiance, service, food, everything really is what brings me back every time. This time we had the sea bass special, omelette, almond croissant, and the French onion soup (HAVE TO TRY). We went during brunch and everything was so tasty. We always get the French onion soup - it is the best I have ever had. It is so light, well balanced and extremely refreshing. We don't have a photo because we devoured that and the croissant immediately. The location is in a cute and cosy area that you can explore. We went hiking after as there are a few trails near by. Would recommend to anyone!!

Service | Chicken & Waffles | Raspberry Latte…read more Service - The service was the weak point of the experience. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and pleasant to interact with, but overall the service was slow and inattentive. I'm not sure if he was covering multiple sections, but we visited on a Friday morning when the restaurant appeared to be about 65-75% full, so it didn't seem overwhelmed. Chicken & Waffles - Overall, a tasty dish. The chicken was flavorful, and the waffle was well prepared. My main critique is the ratio. There was significantly more waffle than chicken--roughly a 5:8 ratio. Personally, I prefer a 1:1 chicken-to-waffle ratio so that every bite has the perfect balance. Good meal, but the portion balance could be improved. Raspberry Latte - The highlight of the visit. The raspberry flavor complemented the coffee perfectly without being overpowering. It was smooth, well-balanced, and something I would absolutely order again. Why Not Five Stars? - The slow service. We noticed several tables in our section experiencing the same issue. One outdoor table waited a long time for drinks and didn't receive their food until we were halfway through our meal, despite arriving before us. Pro Tip: There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant, which makes visiting easy. After your meal, take some time to walk around the town. It's charming, pedestrian-friendly, and worth exploring.

I had been told what a great spot this was for breakfast and lunch by so many people, so when a friend invited me, I couldn't wait to try it out. Since then, I've organized a few brunches with friends, and we have never been disappointed. The menu is absolutely HUGE, both for food options and beverages. Whether you are looking for a savory crepe with coffee or avocado toast with a mimosa bucket, you can get it all here. I could probably dine here every morning for a year and get something different every time! There's plenty of seating inside and outside the restaurant, and dogs are welcome for outdoor seating. (When my friend brought a frenchie she was petsitting, several employees asked if we needed water or other items for her!) There are also umbrellas for the outdoor tables for sunny mornings. I've received great recommendations from my servers, and they are knowledgeable about their extensive menu. Even when we've had complicated orders, everything has always been perfect, and I've enjoyed my experience every time. I look forward to many delicious visits to Clifton Cafe in the future!

And, if you get lost easily even with GPS, you might arrive with the gift of daylight. Especially if you are not familiar with Great Falls. The drive does really double the charm of the meal, here. I love the old world aesthetic of L'Auberge Chez Francois. It is intimate, elevated, classic and offers many diners Alsatian meals to remember. I used my hiring bonus to take a new hire here. We both enjoyed steaks. It's been awhile but I loved the French Onion Soup and whatever fabulous steak they were offering that season. I just took a look at the current menu and if I was ordering this season, the Chateaubriand de l'Auberge - for two - is looking like the winner. I think they have their own garden which the vegetables with the steak come with. We went in the evening, so I didn't get to see the lush gardens pictured on their website. And I am sure the béarnaise and truffle sauce are divine. I might have enjoyed a hot soufflé here. The current soufflé options, aside from the dessert tray, are Grand Marnier, Chocolate and Raspberry. Where else can you find 3 variations of soufflé? For that matter, where can you enjoy soufflés, at all? Definitely check their event list for the special wine dinners and musical events at www.laubergechezfrancois.com. By the end of our two - hour seating, we were more than eager to get up and go. An unnecessary distraction. We'll bring our own set cushion next time. 2) Water glasses smelled off. It's not the water as the odor remained in glasses used for bottled water. Based on experience, we guessed a dirty dishwasher was to blame. 3) A pesky fly was with us the entire meal. Although they offered us the elevator, it was located on the opposite side of the restaurant, making it a bit difficult. I asked if it would be possible to move to the first floor, and they kindly accommodated our request, which we really appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were just as good. The portions are quite generous, so if you're not a big eater, you may want to consider sharing a dish. One thing to note is that the restrooms are gender-neutral. While they were very clean, I found this a little inconvenient when visiting with children. If you plan to go on a weekend, expect the restaurant to be lively and a bit noisy. Also, avoid the parking lot next door if possible--it was very chaotic and not worth the hassle. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience with excellent food, great drinks, and friendly service. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you enjoy French cuisine.

We arrived at 7:45 on a Saturday night to see if there was room for two or at least room at the bar. I wish the hostess had told us that we could wait at the bar for a table to open up, as we saw that's what many other patrons did, but she told us there was bar seating and high tops and so my husband and I went on up. We easily had our choice of two seats at the bar or a high top, and we selected a high top. After 5 minutes of no one acknowledging us, my husband and I told each other we would wait two more minutes before we would bail. Right as we were about to jump ship, a server came by and asked if we wanted menus. We said sure but it was just strange that no one greeted us, it was just "you want menus?" Lol. Another server brought us menus and asked if we would like water and a breadbasket. We said yes and after about 15 minutes, bread arrived. We chatted with the server about what drinks we should order; I ordered a French 75 and my husband ordered a special Sazerac. We also ordered the tuna carpoacio. After about 10 minutes, the server came back and to confirm if I wanted the soft side cocktail and if my husband wanted an old fashioned. We said we did not and corrected him. Then, a server tried to give our drinks to the table next to us and our server corrected him and brought steak tartare. And then he goes "oh wait, did you order this?" We said no and he asked if we wanted it because if not he had to throw it away lol. And then 5 seconds later, the tuna came. Both the tuna carpaccio and the steak tartare were delicious. But this was the entire evening: we ordered something, something else came. I ordered a glass of sparkling rose, and an espresso martini appeared on the house. We had to ask for our bill twice and when we got our bill, it was definitely someone else's. Finally, as we were preparing to go, the original server comes back and goes "here's your espresso martini." Like bro we asked you originally for the check and we are clearly leaving. Luckily, my husband and I had plenty of time before our show, it was a great atmosphere, and the food was super delicious. It was just such a comically bizarre experience and I feel like they are definitely losing money. I think we paid for half of what we ate and drank and probably ate and drank other people's food! Maybe we will go back? Maybe not lol
