Einspanner matcha and lady matcha
Allison S.

Came here for a quick little brunch. This place has plenty of seating and a cute patio area outside. I ordered an avocado toast with egg and an einspanner matcha latte. Both were really delicious, the toast was made with a thick crispy bread and the flavor was amazing and the einspanner matcha latte was perfect. My husband ordered the lady matcha with a bulgogi egg sandwich and both tasted really good that he wanted to order another sandwich to go. The service was good and everything came out fast and fresh.

i got the Ham K-Street Toast Sandwich. It was really good! Tbh if there was sprinkle of sugar like traditional street toast I think it would have been better. Overall I felt like it was pretty good and the portion is pretty big. I also tried the biscoff coffee and that was good too!! The place is nice there 2 different restaurants. The price is kind of like all cafes nowadays..service was good. It's in a good location. Overall, I recommend it!!

Good food, good coffee. Service was reasonable on a busy Saturday morning. Ambiance reminds me of a Paris baguette but a little different layout. Seating can be limited on a Saturday morning due to the volume of people, but we were able to find seats quickly after ordering for 2 people.

Avocado, egg and cheese sandwich

The place is cute and cozy. Service was good, they were friendly and attentive. I had the avocado, cheese and egg sandwich, tastes just as good as it looks. I also tried their black sesame latte, which is now my new favorite latte. It has a rich and nutty taste to it for those that like it and are not allergic. Ambiance had a nice little coffee house to it. There were people on their laptops there and they also had a large assortment of baked goods.

I love salt bread so I was excited to try the squid ink salt bread. Unfortunately it did not live up to my expectation as the flavor was lacking and the bread was rather dry. However the mocha bun redeemed it for me as it was almost comparable to my favorite mocha bun from breeze in Annandale. Tlj and Pb could never LOL. Overall they have so many variety of dessert and pastries that won't disappoint

The black sesame latte was rich, creamy, and well balanced with a nutty, slightly sweet flavor. So glad I tried that per a friend's recommendation, definitely worth it, and next time I'll try the biscoff drink! Service was friendly and attentive, and overall a cozy place. It's a modern vibe with plenty of natural light and enough seating. Nice spot to relax and catch up with a friends or even do some work/studying. There's also a lot of parking at that shopping center.

One can never go wrong with any of the hot sandwiches offered by Gavi Bakery and Cafe. I didn't care for their Biscoff latte due to the soggy crumbs I kept tasting. The sandwich totally made up for it. I just wish the arugula and the tomatoes weren't so dry tasting. Still, I love that I can have the items delivered to me via DoorDash and I don't have to download a separate store specific app. I wouldn't mind reordering from this location again in the future.

Loved their pistachio cream drink and ham and cheese pastry - so flaky. Loved how warm their staff was, the overall aesthetics, vibe, and selection of pastries, drinks, and sandwiches. Gavi replaced another cafe here, and I must say... Gavi is definitely better.

Yes! The desserts are pretty, but I wasn't too impressed flavor-wise when I checked out this spot. The first time I stopped by for desserts, and found them to be generic and nothing special unfortunately. Second time around, we ordered actual food. The strawberry salad was fine. The bagel sandwich was good. Honestly, left feeling like I could make these things at home.

What a beautiful bakery! It's located near the goodwill store and fun land near the 28 exit. I am so glad such a beautiful store with amazing bread, pastries and Korean breakfast sandwiches is open in this area. ***the only issue... and if I can humbly suggest to the owners... the beans being used for the drip coffee is awful. It's primary petrol and not smooth or sweet. I think just changing the beans could make the entire experience absolutely amazing. Coffee roasters like Haan coffee would probably be equivalent in cost and far better. The Korean toast is absolutely amazing and both the BELT and bulgogi (sweet) is amazing. They also have regular croissant breakfast sandwiches. Make you way to check it out!

I've tried Gavi in Tillys before they opened their own cafe. The inside was quaint, nicely decorated and clean. They have a small self serve bakery section and everything looked super fresh and delicious. They also have a refrigerated cake section by the register. Their menu consists of a variety of sandwiches, same as the Tilly location and all of them I want to try! I had the bulgogi sandwich last time which was amazing so this time, I ordered the Peruvian chicken sandwich. It was just as amazing with the different flavors wrapped into this one sandwich. And it was a big sandwich too! I will definitely be returning soon!

Viet Coffee

I don't want to be a Karen about this situation but this is so egregiously bad I felt compelled to write on yelp for the first time ever. This is my order of the Vietnamese Coffee. As you can see in this photo it is barely coffee. We ended up using it as a creamer for another coffee we had on hand. I never bad mouth a business as long as the effort is there. This was just a straight up joke.

Was super busy on Saturday with all the tables full when we went! Loads of bread options and an overall pretty layout. It's a bit crowded feeling though. Matcha einspanner - fresh cream or milk taste, pretty good! Matcha flavor comes through nicely too. But too sweet and sweet overpowers 2/5 Salt bread - not too salty or buttery. Soft but could be fluffier 2.25/5

They had savory and sweet pastries available. All of them looked so good so it was difficult to choose. We needed up getting the ham and cheese pastry- which was crispy, warm, and tasty! My friend got the crème brûlée cappuccino and I got the pistachio latte- both were really good and smooth! This was my favorite pistachio latte ever (just fyi- no coffee was in it). Would definitely come back and would love to try some other offerings; though, I would get all the things we ordered again. We asked for to go cups because we had to get on the road and there was a really sweet lady who gave us all the materials and hot cover with a smile.

The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to answer questions. They have a huge selection of cakes, pastries, cream puffs, breads, and even sandwiches. I very much enjoyed the matcha croissant squares which are super light and flaky. Any of their almond pastries are delicious! Be warned most of their pastries are pretty big so you should be prepared to share. I haven't tried their cakes yet but will be ordering from them for the next occasion. I wasn't too impressed with their version of the smoked salmon open sandwich because it was difficult to eat. Everything fell apart and/or would break down easily to make a balanced bite. I would imagine it's the same for all of the open sandwiches. Everyone should give this spot a chance if you passing through the chantilly area.

Nothing that made me say, "Mmmmmmm, this is really good!" Coffee drinks are expensive for smalls & also just kinda ordinary. It's a great place to meet up with friends & family, but it's also a small venue that can get really squishy during peak times (e.g., early morning, after dinner). Worth the drive? This is tough. It's a good place to meet up & the food & beverages aren't horrible, so to connect with people, yes, worth it. For the food? Not exactly. Seriously, everything looked absolutely wonderful. Makes one want to buy everything in sight. Textures are great. Light, fluffy bread on red bean bun. The filling nothing special. Same with the blueberry pastry... nothing super yummy & not much filling. Couldn't taste the blueberry. Kinda disappointing. So, while I'd not go out of my way for their baked goods & coffee, I'd definitely nosh on something while hanging out with friends as long as we could find seats. To me it's a destination for meeting up and not one to go out of your way for out of this world sweet treats. Gotta pick up a cake on short notice or pastries to take to an office potluck? It's a convenient location for this.

I loved them so much I followed their instagram and on their page you can find their schedule and where they're going to be next as well as when they do their pick up orders. I tried their cookies again at the winter clubhouse event in dc and this time I tried their banana bread cookie and of course I had to get the cheese cookie again! These are pricey cookies but I would say that it's worth it because you can't get these unique flavors anywhere else and the cookies are pretty big. The service is friendly and they let you sample a few flavors. Their set up is also very aesthetic and cute. I can't wait to see what event they go to next!

The SSUK COOKIE is their mugwort based cookie with a generous marshmallow topping. It's bittersweet and the marshmallow helps to add sweetness, but I found it a bit dry. Overall, I still enjoyed it. I'm typically a fan of banana desserts, but found the BANANA MILK COOKIE a bit too strong and sweet. It's smooth and creamy and described, but it wasn't for me. Lastly, the OAT COOKIE had a ton of various ingredients including coconut, chocolate, oats, and even goji berry. I thought it was a good, standard cookie but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, glad I got to try. The people who ran the vendor were nice and offered great suggestions. Support local bakeries!
