Cheddar cookie
Lauren F.

The white chocolate cheddar was unexpectedly delicious! I ran into this bakery as a stall at the Met Park farmers market and had to buy one. I don't know if I was sold on the marshmallow on it, but every other aspect was delicious: savory and sweet and a little bit salty, generous in size, a perfect soft texture even without reheating. They had a banana one to sample as well, and while I'm not a banana person I can say it was a good, strong flavor! I want to come back to try the ssuk now that I know the flavors and textures are so on point! I hope they come to DC soon.

Amor Cafe & Pastry - Opening July 1, 2023

Amor Cafe & Pastry

Located in Sully Station Shopping Center. Opens at 7am- plenty of room around 8:00am on a Saturday…read more Beautiful and home-y interior. Plenty of parking in the shared public parking lot. They had savory and sweet pastries available. All of them looked so good so it was difficult to choose. We needed up getting the ham and cheese pastry- which was crispy, warm, and tasty! My friend got the crème brûlée cappuccino and I got the pistachio latte- both were really good and smooth! This was my favorite pistachio latte ever (just fyi- no coffee was in it). Would definitely come back and would love to try some other offerings; though, I would get all the things we ordered again. We asked for to go cups because we had to get on the road and there was a really sweet lady who gave us all the materials and hot cover with a smile.

Amor Cafe is a solid option if you are looking for a place with a great vibe, is clean and…read moreorganized, and has an amazing selection of pastries, desserts, and even snacks/small meals. The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to answer questions. They have a huge selection of cakes, pastries, cream puffs, breads, and even sandwiches. I very much enjoyed the matcha croissant squares which are super light and flaky. Any of their almond pastries are delicious! Be warned most of their pastries are pretty big so you should be prepared to share. I haven't tried their cakes yet but will be ordering from them for the next occasion. I wasn't too impressed with their version of the smoked salmon open sandwich because it was difficult to eat. Everything fell apart and/or would break down easily to make a balanced bite. I would imagine it's the same for all of the open sandwiches. Everyone should give this spot a chance if you passing through the chantilly area.

So many fresh pastries and desserts to choose from! Everything looks amazing!…read more Love the tiramisu king donut! So decadent! Their hazelnut latte was good and creamy. Order with half and half! The flavor profile is amazing !! I wish there was more seating though!

BLUF: I'd maybe lean a little more toward a 3.5 star rating for the great service we received. The…read morepastries themselves looked wonderful. Taste was decent. Nothing that made me say, "Mmmmmmm, this is really good!" Coffee drinks are expensive for smalls & also just kinda ordinary. It's a great place to meet up with friends & family, but it's also a small venue that can get really squishy during peak times (e.g., early morning, after dinner). Worth the drive? This is tough. It's a good place to meet up & the food & beverages aren't horrible, so to connect with people, yes, worth it. For the food? Not exactly. Seriously, everything looked absolutely wonderful. Makes one want to buy everything in sight. Textures are great. Light, fluffy bread on red bean bun. The filling nothing special. Same with the blueberry pastry... nothing super yummy & not much filling. Couldn't taste the blueberry. Kinda disappointing. So, while I'd not go out of my way for their baked goods & coffee, I'd definitely nosh on something while hanging out with friends as long as we could find seats. To me it's a destination for meeting up and not one to go out of your way for out of this world sweet treats. Gotta pick up a cake on short notice or pastries to take to an office potluck? It's a convenient location for this.

I decided to check out Cafe Moment because I had a random craving for bingsu. When my husband and I…read morewent to the self ordering kiosk, we noticed a very pungent sewage smell in the hallway area. The floor was also very sticky. We ordered the Greentea Mochi Snowflake and were pretty disappointed. I was hoping that the green tea flavor would be more of a matcha flavor but that wasn't the case. I like the taste of green tea so I wouldn't have minded but the bingsu was so sweet, I could barely taste any green tea flavor. The best part about the bingsu was the corn flakes and mochi bits but I don't even like corn flakes. The portion was pretty generous and could easily be shared with 2-3 people, which would be nice if the bingsu was actually good. We ended up only eating less than half of it. Would I go back? : Definitely not. I've never had a bad bingsu before and unfortunately this will be the first. We ended up going to Chateau de Chantilly Cafe afterwards because of how unsatisfied we were with our experience.

The snow is milky and soft. The cereal adds a very nice texture. The vanilla ice cream on top is a a pretty sizable scoop. It's a big portion for one person, so I recommend sharing or just ball hard on your own. The croffle choco was So yummy as well. The texture was crispy and soft. The warm waffle with the cold ice cream is a wonderful contrast. The chocolate sauce kind of reminded me of Nutella. The Blue Portion-ade wasn't worth it imo. It pretty much tasted like watered down Sprite. Despite having two desserts, I still wouldn't say I was sugar overloaded. They weren't TOO sweet where I felt sick afterwards, but I was definitely stuffed. I'm a big fan of the self checkout and just grabbing your tray of food without much interaction. To some maybe it feels a little cold? But to me, this is paradise to not have much interaction prior to me devouring the food. Overall, I love coming here and eating yummy desserts in a chill environment!
