My friend and I were craving some bubble tea early during a weekday and this was one of the nearby places that was open. Their bubble tea selection was large although interestingly enough they automatically do bubble teas as smoothies unless you request it to be a milk tea. I ordered the Misutgaru (grain powder) smoothie with boba whilst my friend ordered the Taro milk tea with ice and jelly. We liked the taste of both drinks although I've never seen Misutgaru at other boba shops. The boba was a tad overcooked - mushy, soft texture with minimal chewiness. There is plenty of parking, seating, and space inside. It's potentially a good place to study as it wasn't too loud. The bakery items during the weekday didn't have a lot of variety, so be warned. There seemed to only be one person manning the cash register as well as preparing the orders. However, the wait time wasn't too long. Overall, this place was okay and good if I had a sudden craving and was not willing to travel far. However, this is not somewhere I would crave to go.

Ordered online for someone's birthday. Paid $50. The girl behind counter messed up the order, decorated mango instead of mocha cake. Also, the name was misspelled -- should have been 'Nagaraj'. To add insult to injury, the taste wasn't great, bland and heavy on cream/fat. Rather dull. Time to try another cake shop.

Shilla in Centreville is pretty good by itself compared to the overwhelmingly too-sweet American counterparts in the area. However, there are so many Korean competitions in the DMV that it really cannot stand out. Is it bad? Not at all. There are just so many great places, it pales in comparison. I usually get my cakes at Tour le Jours. I usually pick up custard cream-filled pastries. They taste great and are my favorite. If you want cake, you talk to the staff, and they are generally very helpful. If you don't know what cake to get, I'd recommend trying the smaller slices. The interior decor is a little worn out since this place has been around for a while. Decor is below average. Food is average, I'd say.

This bakery is a local favorite and its been my go-to for a quick bread fix! I absolutely love the sweet potato cake at Shilla Bakery. I'm not sure how its made but I've never had anything like it before. It's such a unique dessert and tastes amazing. They offer a huge variety of baked goods, from subtly sweet pastries to savory options, and there's always something interesting to try. Its mostly a self-service experience so you grab a tray, pick out your items, and add them to your basket and go to check out. And everything is very reasonably priced making you want to get everything. The bakery itself is super spacious, with plenty of seating, making it a great place to study or meet up with friends. There's always groups of people catching up and chatting. Not sure how it compares to the other locations but the vibes and food are great at this one.

I think this location is okay but it's not any different when compared to the other Shillas Bakeries in the area. There's a lot of ample seating, it's really surprising that the location is pretty spacious compared to the location in Annandale and the one at Tysons. I stopped by here in search of the legendary Crookie ( it's going viral as it's a crossaint & and a cookie ) but I realized that's only in the Annandale & Tysons location. Bummer. I was hoping to indulge in bad decisions today but instead I got some snacks. I got their Ube Cookie & Churro Donut Bites for a pick me up snack if I get the urge wanting to eat something while driving around. I can't say it's good because I haven't tried it out but over all I think this place would fulfill your needs for a Korean bakery. It's been around as long as I remember Iron Age being open right next door so I'm sure it has its mark in the plaza. Check it out if you like Korean sweets, or a place to get your boba fix!

By far my favorite bakery to go to when I make a trip up to Virginia! Their pizza bread is to die for, I've had many pizza breads from different bakeries in Maryland but Shilla does it the best. It is not pictured because I am as so excited I stuffed my face before taking pictures. They also have a wide range of uniquely designed cakes and fun beverages to try. The hello kitty brown sugar milk tea was actually really good considering it was canned, I was definitely caught by surprise and honestly only bought it initially because I liked the design of the can.

i love the space in the cafe, it's big and good for medium sized groups. The christmas decor is cozy and cute as well. but the icecream tasted icy, like they had been frozen for a while. The latte was on the stronger side, but was yummy with the icecream, like an affogato. i give a 3/5 because i liked the inside vibes, but the quality of the icecream and latte were just okay. they tasted chalky and old.

Haven't been to a Shilla for at least a decade. This Shilla was frequented back in the day; boy has it gone downhill. We stopped in for bingsoo after dinner, there were only a few tables occupied. We were assisted quickly though the staff carried no smile and were not pleasant. We ordered matcha bingsoo and the matcha color looked unsafe/ off. Some dark green with a hint of brown/dirty color. Could barely locate any dduk. It wasn't very good and then 10 minutes before closing time we were ushered to leave. Won't be back.

Every time we're in the area, we try our best to stop and grab some drinks and pastries. When you walk in the baskets are directly on the right. Be sure to grab one because I guarantee you'll need it. You can order cakes and drinks and grab a great assortment of different breads. My favorites are the ones that are filled with mocha or the almond crisp. Best variety and great prices.

Like other Shilla Paisseries this one did not disappoint us. On a HOT summer day, Bingsoo with Mango was the perfect to cool us down. Ample of seating. Staff was super friendly and helped us understand unique desert choices. Bakery as always is one of my favorites to take home goodies.

I went to the bakery during the soft opening. Everything looked nice and clean. It has a nice trendy atmosphere. They are working on getting things ready for the official grand opening. I ordered a latte mocha and got some pastries. The coffee was good. They have a large verity of pastries. You can grab a basket, walk around and fill it up with goodies. They also have larger cakes for special occasions or just to enjoy. Overall a nice trendy coffee shop with good service and food.

They had savory and sweet pastries available. All of them looked so good so it was difficult to choose. We needed up getting the ham and cheese pastry- which was crispy, warm, and tasty! My friend got the crème brûlée cappuccino and I got the pistachio latte- both were really good and smooth! This was my favorite pistachio latte ever (just fyi- no coffee was in it). Would definitely come back and would love to try some other offerings; though, I would get all the things we ordered again. We asked for to go cups because we had to get on the road and there was a really sweet lady who gave us all the materials and hot cover with a smile.

Be warned most of their pastries are pretty big so you should be prepared to share. I haven't tried their cakes yet but will be ordering from them for the next occasion. I wasn't too impressed with their version of the smoked salmon open sandwich because it was difficult to eat. Everything fell apart and/or would break down easily to make a balanced bite. I would imagine it's the same for all of the open sandwiches. Everyone should give this spot a chance if you passing through the chantilly area.

Nothing that made me say, "Mmmmmmm, this is really good!" Coffee drinks are expensive for smalls & also just kinda ordinary. It's a great place to meet up with friends & family, but it's also a small venue that can get really squishy during peak times (e.g., early morning, after dinner). Worth the drive? This is tough. It's a good place to meet up & the food & beverages aren't horrible, so to connect with people, yes, worth it. For the food? Not exactly. Seriously, everything looked absolutely wonderful. Makes one want to buy everything in sight. Textures are great. Light, fluffy bread on red bean bun. The filling nothing special. Same with the blueberry pastry... nothing super yummy & not much filling. Couldn't taste the blueberry. Kinda disappointing. So, while I'd not go out of my way for their baked goods & coffee, I'd definitely nosh on something while hanging out with friends as long as we could find seats. To me it's a destination for meeting up and not one to go out of your way for out of this world sweet treats. Gotta pick up a cake on short notice or pastries to take to an office potluck? It's a convenient location for this.
