Cool theme in this restaurant plus really neat furniture. It was easy to order on the kiosk and the staff was helpful with questions I had about the items. It didn't take long to get my order. The taste lived up to the hype! What would have made it better was if all flavors were available

It was very good. The ube was tremendous and tasted very smooth and creamy, very custard-like. The breading was very good as well and it tasted like it came straight from the oven. I wish the sizing was a big bigger but the atmosphere was great. Good music, good vibes here. It all melted in my mouth and was soft which was what I wanted. Would come again, even though they don't accept cash

I've been craving ube. Come to find on my way home Rice Culture! If you're looking for a unique dessert experience and a place that brings homage to Asian culture, give this place a try. I am not a soft serve fan, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try this place out. The place is self order, and the staff is available to answer any questions you may have or even want to get a sample before you place the order. It's def a cool sight to see the employees making the taiyakis right there in front of you. The fresh smells hit you as you walk in the place. The bright purple definitely brings some fun to the place. The price is up there for what you're getting but I will say this is definitely a great place to try something new.

Very tasty! Got the mini soft serve ube and strawberry with the fish on top and was just right amount to share.

Saw an IG post about their hot chocolates and had to go try it! Got both the Ube and Pandan marshmellow toppings. The topping is super thick and you have to dig a hole with a spoon to get to the hot chocolate drink. I highly enjoyed the white chocolate version more than the regular chocolate. For the price of it, it was just a one time thing for me. LOL. Their taiyakis are good and even better if you get it made fresh to order. Many options to choose from, but my favorite is the Nutella filled one. The staff there was super friendly and welcoming. There is some seating available inside.

Great dessert spot! I've tried the taiyaki, halo halo, drinks and soft serve and honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their options. Everything was delicious except halo halo was a tad too sweet for my liking but if you enjoy sweet desserts, it shouldn't be an issue. All the taiyaki flavors are great. My favorite was Nutella and the ube flavor soft serve has a very strong, authentic flavor which was also yummy. If you are looking for a sweet solid dessert place, this is definitely a good stop to stop by!

This place was tech friendly and "old" people like us were fascinated at how we could customize our dessert without speaking to a human. I tried their version of Filipino Halo Halo. The ingredients enticed me: lanka, ube soft serve, leche flan, beans. When it came to taste, it was not my mother's halo halo. A nice copycat but very different. The ice was too thick and the flan was like a flat soft cookie. The soft serve Ube was almost there but not really. Service was super friendly. Staff dude was on point in decorating this Halo Halo. The ambiance of the place is welcoming. It has lots of seating and a big window to stare out into the parking lot.

My first time with this soft serve dish. Ordering via kiosk was fun. The portion size was huge. At the counter I had the option to add toppings. I chose Rice Krispies. This topping elevated this dream cup.. Staff was super friendly. He presented my cup with pride. We enjoyed our treats at the window seats. The place was clean and bright.

I know Rice Culture is known for their taiyaki, but imo... their soft serve is where it's at. The taiyaki has a sweet and slightly salty dough. The texture vaguely reminds me of a warmed up leige waffle? The filling is custardy and not too sweet. They're just okay to me. None of the flavors I had really stood out to me, except their strawberry hojicha which had a nice tartness and brightness. I also enjoyed their savory versions a bit more than the sweeter ones. The soft serve, though, is super good! I feel like the flavors pop out more. The texture is nice and smooth! The small cup is a little TOO small for me, so I would recommend getting the bigger one. The combo of ice cream and taiyaki rules though! The flavors rotate, so it's hard to recommend one. Service was quick! The store is pretty cute and has games on the tables to play! I've never been on the weekend, so it's never been too busy.

    pandan was my favorite

To the uninitiated, this is like dessert waffle with mochi or custard cream inside. You order and pay at automated kiosks picking the flavors you like. You can mix and match. Half a dozen sounds like a good deal. The place is on the opposite side of Costco. I didn't know these buildings existed in the area. They have tiny food trucks selling freshly made ones in touristy places of Japan. Rice Culture gets it pretty close. I'd highly recommend waiting the advertised 25 mins to get yours freshly made. The pre-made ones sitting on the shelves do not taste the best they could be. Pandan is my favorite. Ube is pretty good. Nutella and Oreo aren't my flavors. Matcha is bitter than it should be. I wouldn't get it again. Saving the soft serve and drinks for next time!

Matcha black sesame soft serve with corn flakes and plain taiyaki

Ice cream is good, service is even better. You order at the little kiosks. The taiyaki's are made ahead of time so they're cold- I assumed they were like Korean boongobbang and served warm. I sampled the black sesame and ube - both good. I ended up getting the matcha black sesame swirl with plain taiyaki. I asked the person working what flavor filling taiyaki he liked best and he named a few and said he also loved the pizza taiyaki. You can opt to have pizza taiyaki made fresh but it takes 25 minutes. I chose to do that because my friend and I were caught up playing a game of Incoherent anyway. Fresh is the way to go- outside is crispy inside is gooey cheese, marinara, and pepperoni. The batter is sweet so I liked the savory inside. Ambiance is chill and AC amazing. Wednesdays are BOGO 50% off. Will come back!

Service was quick. On that hot Saturday afternoon, the nice cold shop would cool you down. There are tables and chairs inside. The sweets here are yummy! I think it's because of the ube (purple yam) ice cream that they have - very rich and creamy. Soo good. The OG halo halo with ube elote (purple yam and brown butter corn which is sweet corn with browned butter) was very good. The ube custard taiyaki soft serve and ube Vietnamese iced coffee were great too! Very yummy ube desserts. Good value for your money.

Rice Culture Chantilly is in a wonderful location with popular restaurants right near it and in the same shopping center as a Costco and Target. The parking lot can get a bit busy on a Sunday due to Costco shoppers, but otherwise location is great with ample parking. The shop itself is beautifully designed very lively, very inviting and has the delicious smell of taiyaki. Me and my partner shared the Ube and lychee strawberry(July exclusive flavor) swirl in a cup with the taiyaki Ube on top! It was delicious and the Ube was very rich. We personally couldn't taste the lychee and strawberry it mostly just was the Ube flavor that over powdered it which is not a bad thing but just a piece to note if you do a mixed flavor swirl! I would 100% come back and try out the additional items on their menu. The halo-halo options looked delicious!

A majority of the staff left this location 1.5 years ago for a new store and the service has left as well. Although there are several servers who are excellent, unfortunately there are more who are not. Management is probably worse because she doesn't take definitive action, she'd rather be everyone's best friend. I have sent food back countless times: waffles weren't cooked through, waffles were served cold, and oatmeal looked like mush. Likewise, I have also waited over 1.5 hours for the kitchen to get my food correct. After two screw ups, one with a wrong order and the second served cold, I ate little of what was brought because at that point I wanted to leave. My takeaway is have patience and come early.

It gave "homemade lunch" vibes more than "restaurant dish." I tried two smoothies -- the acai one was actually really good, but the green smoothie (I think it was called Island Green or something like that?) was rough. It literally tasted like someone blended up fresh-cut grass and ice. It was super unfortunate. Their menu does have a lot of variety, which I appreciated, but overall it feels a little overpriced for the quality. The service was decent though -- the staff gave a good recommendation and were kind. The best part was definitely the ambiance. The place had cute Halloween decorations and even a little Minion sitting out, which made the space feel fun and welcoming. Overall, I'd give it a solid three stars -- not bad, but not sure I'd rush back unless they tweak those smoothies.
