Apple pie, Ube, mint chip
Aarti B.

With 15-20 flavors, the Apple Pie flavor with a cinnamon base and chunks of apple pie was a stand-out! It's bursting with flavor in every bite! There's a good mix of traditional, classic flavors and unique flavors with some rotating seasonal flavors. My daughter enjoyed purple Ube ice cream and hubby liked the Mint Chocolate Chip. Some of the flavors like S'mores are a bit more plain and bland with toppings spread out and not densely packed. There are a few small tables inside and a chair outside. Want toppings? Let them know ahead of time otherwise you'll pay an upcharge for "wet" toppings. Service was kind and let me sample a variety of flavors (more than a few!). Excited to come back in a few months and try the next line-up of flavors!

Toby has some unique ice cream flavors such as Ube (sweet potato) and Calimansi (lemon/lime) which I tried and settled on the Ube with green tea pistachios on a waffle cone. I appreciated the friendly service and learning about the different flavors. Place has seating inside and outside with ample parking in the strip mall. I would definitely come back if I'm eating in the neighborhood.

Ube ice cream - the best!

If you like ube (purple sweet potato) ice cream, this place is a must-go. The location in Vienna, VA has a dedicated parking lot and is close to Thoreau Middle School. Service was friendly and helpful. You can sample a flavor before buying. The interior is cozy with AC, but a few outdoor seats are available too. I stopped by on a hot muggy Saturday in July 2025 and lots of families and friends were enjoying a dish or cone of ice cream. It has a very positive community vibe!

Stop by hoping to try their avocado ice cream however they didn't have it (sad) but opt for the ube & Pandan combo! Ube - flavorful & sweet Pandan - perfect balance of coconut flavor I will say when mixing the two, the ube definitely overpowers the bite but that's ube for you. There's other options to select from as well! Definitely coming back to hopefully try their avocado ice cream if they have it in stock.

Milkshake Peanut butter, Chocolate, and Banana

Fast and friendly service with a cozy inside vibe. We got a milkshake with peanut butter, chocolate, and banana. Was a very good solid milkshake!

Upon entering Toby's, you are immediately hit with the smell of sweet, buttery, waffle cones in the best way possible. This place offers great house-made ice cream, with some flavors being Filipino-influenced such as ube (purple yam), buko pandan (coconut) and calamansi. The flavors taste "pure" and not artificially flavored. You can tell it is made with thought and care. The mint chocolate chip was lightly minty, filled with delicious chocolate chips. The ube was rich and flavorful. The s'mores ice cream you can really taste each and every component of a s'more. The espresso chip also had great espresso based flavor and worked well with the chocolate. They also offer milkshakes, different ways of serving ice cream, as well as take home pints and "pupsicles." There are indoor seats available, although the place is small. The service is quick and friendly. Love local ice cream shops that use quality ingredients!

Ignore the lactaid in the photo (I'm very lactose intolerant but that doesn't stop me) anyways! This place is stellar, it does get busy so fair warning, but their workers were super helpful with helping us choose flavors as it was our first time being there. They have generic flavors, to some fun interesting ones. I believe I had one of their interesting flavors, thought it was delicious! They have a water machine inside, so that's nice too! Overall, highly recommend coming here and giving it a try.

Delicious ice cream. Go for their unique flavors! They didn't have the pandan when we went but we got the Ube and it was yummmmmy. Not too sweet but super flavorful. A hidden gem! Plus all the workers were super friendly and offered to let us try samples.

I'm a sucker for anything ube, and when I saw ube ice cream on the menu, I knew I had to try it out here. They were kind enough to let me try a few different flavors, and I settled on my classic favorite which is ube. My husband decided on the pandan and cafe au lait. We shared all three flavors together and man, was every single flavor delicious! Nothing was overly sweet, which is perfect because I can't stand overly sweet desserts. The texture was so rich and buttery. With sweets, once I'm at the bottom of the cup, it's very rare that I'm left wanting more. But I think i could have gone for another cup. Such a gem of an ice cream shop! Glad I stopped by. I would be happy to go again!

Delicious, creamy, and high quality ice cream. Hard to decide which flavors to choose from, but I got their Banana and most popular flavor, Ube. They both were absolutely delicious! Quick service in an unassuming location. Would come again for good NOVA ice cream spots!

Hayward L.

Super friendly service, above average ice cream. Not too many flavor choices but everything was a decent quality and they give samples. Really liked their bittersweet chocolate. Would definitely come again.

This is a cute place if you're in the neighborhood to grab a quick scoop. It's not so much that I have anything bad to say,I just wasn't blown away by the flavors . The team was very helpful.

The menu, it's hard to read but it's there in the back, pretty standard ice cream menu
Helene H.

The staff was so friendly. It was bright and clean inside. There were some places to sit if I had wanted to. The milkshake I got was very tasty. I wish the flavors were listed somewhere before I had to look in the case, it makes it harder to make a decision if I don't know what is available until I'm at the front of the line. And the menu was a little hard to read, the font was small for how far away it was.

The purple Ube…read moreice cream and green coconutty Pandan ice cream twist is our favorite and love topping it off with Oreo crumbles or sprinkles, and let's not forget the Ube wafers and Taikayi waffle cones! The flavors rotate seasonally with different combo twist flavors and there's now a Mini 6 oz option as well as the 9 oz classic option with unlimited toppings! There are interesting seasonal flavors that are fun to try: - Honey Dew & Guava Cheesecake Twist - The summer flavor and sweetness of the honey dew complemented the exotic guava cheesecake flavor. - Peach Honey Goat Cheese - My favorite summer! The unique flavor is complex with a bit sweetness and a touch of savory. You can taste all of the ingredients. - Sakura: The pink cherry spring flavor wasn't that sweet and a bit tangy. - Kyoto Taro Cheesecake: A great combo of Taro and Matcha Cheesecake twist that's not too sweet and flavorful Ube Cheesecake flavor - A bit bland with a subtle cheesecake flavor. - Watermelon Basil - Fun flavor to try and tastes like a sour watermelon jollyrancher. It pairs well with the Peach Honey Goat Cheese flavor. - Black Sesame - Grey, savory flavor with a hint of bitterness. - Cookies and Cream flavor is a bit bland. - Classic Ube & Pandan Twist: I always resort back to my favorite default sweet and coconutty flavor. The Taikayi waffle cones are delicious. As the stuffed Taikyai is quite decadent, getting it hollow without any filling is the best way to go with the ice cream. Any type of filling with the ice cream becomes overload of sweetness. The Wicked Pandan Float (from the glass cooler) was delicious with layers of green coconut Pandan cheesecake custard pudding on a bed of Oreo Crumbs drizzled with salted caramel dulche leche. All of the flavors pair well together. I wasn't a fan of the Ube Dulce Leche or the Ube Oreo Floater. The Ube custard was a bit bland and didn't like the jelly topping. Skip the floats in the cooler and head straight to order the ice cream! Sign-up with the app and you can score deals and discounts via text and get notified of new flavors and when some flavors retire. My kids and I enjoyed love coming here and sharing a fun sundae! We came here a dozen times during the summer. There's both indoor and outdoor seating.

As soon as you walk in there are tables chairs and stools by the window. Thing's to consider about…read morethe service, if you order via Kiosk you will either get your order in 20 or 40 minutes depending on if the workers are talking in the back not realizing you put an order in. Talk to the people that work there for orders to make sure the one you want isn't running out and to ask if it's being made fresh. The workers don't ask you anything just make the food when they finally do get around to making it. The food is good but expensive for what it is, the service is a 1/100 if that is possible. Food is 6/10 could be better, honestly go to an asian market and buy ice cream there it taste better and is cheaper. Plus you don't have to feel insulted waiting nearly an hour for an order when you're the only one in the restaurant and ordered via Kiosk. The kiosk is there for convenience to disregard customer to worker interaction making it easy to just gloss over orders until they feel a type of urgency when the restaurant floods with people. ONLY THEN will you get your order faster. Upon finding out they were talking to a manager in the back disappointed me more because a good manager would say look we have an order ticket handle this first then we can continue talking but I had to wait for their conversation to end before they even began working on my order. Do i recommend this place If you order via kiosk and don't mind waiting half an hour go for it If you like mediocre mid overhyped food go for it If you value your time and money go to an asian grocery store and buy their ice cream.

I came by and ordered dine-in. Got a double burger meal with chili cheese fries. All made fast and efficient. The front counter was also friendly as well. And the place was quite clean for a fast-food burger place. Anyway, the burger was smash-style and the chil-cheese added greatly to the fries. I'm not a big fan of shoestring fries but the chili and cheese made it quite delicious. Overall, for fast-food burgers, it was above-average quality and I would gladly come back again for the food. I have yet to try their custard but I will need to do so next time. I'm giving this 4 stars, but in reality this is closer to 4.5 stars.

I add to the burger everything and it and the meat spill over. I hate punny tiny burgers especially when overpriced. When I ask for water instead of the soft drink, they give me a normal sized cup, not a plastic clear thimble - thanks. Like the Pepsi brand cokes but wish there were more diet options. Price is competitive, but less than the "fashionista burgers." WiFi is functional and dependable. Place is clean and staff keeps it that way. Staff is friendly and patrons are having fun but courteous. Not a boring place. Place is open and with lots of windows, not a dark cave. Cheery and pleasant. Not a fan of their super-skinny fries; normal "Five Guys-like" fries should be the standard. Restaurant offers a free burger coupon to Veterans-on-Veterans Day. The quality of the messy burger, the WiFi, the bright clean atmosphere, the reasonable price, options for ice cream, Diet Pepsi, all keep me coming back and back. 1
