Just drove 10+ miles to get here because I'm a fiend for the gravy. Where seated along a row of people served by two people. After waiting ten minutes, guy behind us sat down. Server goes directly to him ignoring us saying "good morning sunshine!" "The usual?" I said WTF which she heard and promptly gave me a dirty look. Manager came over to take our drink order. Got our drinks, but needed silverware and napkins. She said she would be right back. Oh she came right back to tell me they don't have poached eggs! Still waiting... got up to remind her and she said she knew and asked for a minute! My food was good, but it definitely sat. read more

I am so disappointed they closed. The manager and servers were extremely kind. We moved from the Chicago area and this was the best place we found for breakfast. We now have to scout out another place to go after church on Sundays. I hope the staff find other jobs. read more

I can only critique this place from the perspective of a to-go order as that is how I dined. Given a recent offer I had received, I was entitled to several separate orders of strawberry pancakes for free. Accordingly, this made for a interesting experience and thus review on which to speak about. All sets of the pancakes or somewhere between outrageously terrible to the level of moderately depression you would expect from me continental breakfast offered at a roadside motel that is completely empty, ensconced in the mountains of a low population state. Bland, artificial, and overly hard with no texture or flavor, my partner, despite knowing that these items were free, expressed a great aversion to the time and effort spent even acquiring them. I cannot say I disagree, struggling to finish them simply so as to avoid being wasteful; but deriving little to no pleasure whatsoever. As another poster commented, however, this may be an ideal choice if you're going to fly out it IAD either really early or really late. Now that the area has developed more, however, there are manifold other options. read more

Service was great as our server was very nice and checked with us multiple times and offered refills. Food also came quickly and it wasn't too bad, but I guess I expected better. My main complaint is that almost everything was sticky. Overall not too bad. read more

First off really like the staff here. Usually go in for breakfast, but occasionally lunch or dinner works. You'll always be greeted immediately. Also the servers are quite friendly, and it is a family spot. I'm glad this one survived, as quite a few aren't around anymore. Breakfast is their best meal. The reason for that is simple. That would be because of their famous sausages. These are quite delicious. Their pancakes work for me, and my friends like the omelettes. Coffee is decent enough, although I prefer a bit more of a boost. It's time for the chain to upgrade the menu with new choices. Whether that'll be done, it's up to the corporate people. This is a clean and comfortable restaurant. read more

*their friendly and cozy vibes make this place great! A lot of veterans and grandparents like to enjoy their time here! It's not just about the business, but about the people. Parking: don't worry! There is a ton of parking! There's a lot of space in the back for parking. Seating: there's a lot of seats, including booths! It's nice and quiet with lots of distance. It's very family friendly and feels homey. Food: classic American food. I like their brunch food and their banana bread! Bathroom: clean bathroom. Price: it's a good deal for the food you get. Service: I think Bob Evans is known for their friendliness and home-like environment! Our server was so kind and friendly and she was so helpful! She definitely made our visit here better! read more

Bob Evans , Bob Evans was mentioned a few times for lunch as we were running errands. With a name like Bob Evans you can't go wrong. The food was really good and reminded me of a home cooked meal. It was delicious and served piping hot. The menu selection was vast and overwhelming, making it hard to decide what to pick. I have been hitting the jackpot with delicious food, great company and warm atmospheres. Best of all my friends were happy we stopped there read more

This was our first time here and we will never be back. Coffee cups had stains and Daphne our waitress said it was normal bc everything is old. I could literally wipe off the residue with my napkin. Our food was terrible as well. My daughter was the last to get her food and the service was horrible. The only saving grace was the GM. She tried so hard to apologize and make things right but we were already pretty disgusted. She was so gracious though and I gave her a hug and said it wasn't her fault but Daphne needs more training. read more

Based on reviews my expectations were low. We were groggy from a concert the night before. Our waitress let us know that she was brewing a fresh pot of coffee and it was worth the wait. I ordered the Southwestern omelet and it was very filling with black beans, corn, salsa, sausage, and cheese. I got fresh fruit instead of potatoes. The strawberries, blueberries and banana were all perfectly ripe. I ordered wheat toast but was too full to eat much of it. My husband ordered a custom omelet with hash browns, chicken sausage and toast. Must have been good, he ate it all. The restaurant was very clean and we were greeted immediately upon arrival. Our waitress was phenomenal and I wish I had gotten her name so I could mention her here. She anticipated our every need and was friendly. I missed my flight at IAD so my BF and I went to grab some breakfast together. He nostalgically remembered him and his grandparents going to Bob Evans when he was a kid and wanted to go for the hot coco and some breakfast platter to share. We got in right when they opened. Was funny as they have regulars that power walk in and sit all together and know one another. We waited to be seated though - and I even pulled menus for my BF and I cause they didn't have anyone to seat us when we got in. Finally a lady - the only server, came and sat us. We ordered hot coco, I asked if they could make mine with milk as I don't like watered down powder. She said no - they have hot coco made with water and powder - so I passed. I asked for a tea latte on the menu and she brought out luke warm water with some random tea packages and nothing else. I left it on the table and when she came back I mentioned I didn't find tea package for the tea latte on the menu - and wasn't offered milk or honey for the tea so I didn't use package in the (now cold) water. We were still charged for tea. We also got the platter with home fries (which we asked to be crispy- they came out mushy) and sausage patties (which were burnt and hard) and scrambled eggs dry (which tasted like it was from pourable egg solution and not real eggs). Needless to say we were not impressed. I also want to say Fatima, the manager put on a show yelling at the ONLY server in-front of customers saying if she messed up again she would send her home. The server, who was already short-handed and not in a good mood, dared Fatima to do it. All while, the customers were overhearing. Fatima also didn't know how to ring customers up - when we went to pay, she gave her our slip and she had to call a guy over to ring us up. The whole experience was very off-putting. I rate this location and experience as a Eek! Me thinks Not! read more

We had breakfast this morning and Ruth was our waitress. We asked her to keep the coffee coming, and after she brought out the coffee she also set the thermal pot on the table. Kiddos Ruth! Came here for breakfast. Yenifer was our waitress and she was kind and pleasant. The food was not so great. The pancakes were cold and the bananas they used were brown and going bad. Just tried to eat here. Arrived at 8:20, seated at our table at 8:35, ordered drinks and food right away. At 9:50, when the folks who came at the same time as us had finished their meal and left, we took that as our queue to leave...without ever receiving our food. Asked our waiter at least half a dozen times about it over the course of our wait. Suggest you go somewhere else unless you just want to waste your time waiting. Okay, I do understand that but why did you put my mac & cheese under my SANDWICH?! What kind of farm animal would like to eat her/his sandwich covered by mac&cheese? That's disgusting! Please look at this sandwich! What kind of BLT is this? 2 pieces of lettuce, 2-3 pieces of bacon and bunch of tomatoes! Bread was extremely greasy. The worst food I've ever had! It was a very hot day and I just didn't want to walk far from the hotel. And...I didn't want to go to the "bland Bob Evans" chain. But I am so glad I did. BOB EVANS has upped their game. Charles was amazing!! We stopped by on Saturday afternoon around 2:00 pm. Charles was pretty much running the restaurant aside from the kitchen while most of the staff was either sitting down on the other side of the glass wall or joking around. His tables stayed dirty for a while but what else is the server to do when he's seating guests, taking orders, running food, printing checks, etc. Nobody helped him. When he did have time to wipe his tables a female server commented with "why didn't you wipe my table while you were over there?" And then she proceeded to sit back down. And still didn't wipe her table down. Don't ask for help if your not willing to help others. The reason for 4 stars is not Charles. Charles gets 10 out of 5. The attitude of the other staff surprised me. Charles even mentioned loudly that he was "busy" and the other staff continued to stand around and watch him. He didn't ask for help (which is admirable) but being a previous bar manager myself and having worked in the industry for a number of years, "teamwork makes the dream work." Really disappointed with the work ethic of his colleagues. However, Michael, the MOD, stopped by the table and was nice too. But then quickly disappeared to the other side of the glass wall where it sounded like most of the employees were "hanging out." I even heard another employee say "if I'm not making money then I'm leaving" at the front desk. Atmosphere was nice and Charles was stellar. Definitely coming back and requesting him!! read more

We had a great breakfast experience! Zufan, our waitress was fantastic! She is amazing! Good job guys!

Nostalgia all the way. My family and I used to go to Bob Evans all the time when I was a kid. This is the place dad brought us, as a special treat for weekend breakfast and sometimes dinner. This isn't the same location as the one we used to go to as kids, but it's a chain and so its incredibly similar. The host (also the manager?) was friendly and quick to seat us on a Saturday for breakfast. I've been to this location twice now and both times had Zufan as our server. She is the best! Super friendly, personable, professional, and attentive. We didn't have to ask for extra napkins or refills on our drinks. She always had us covered. She makes our visits to Bob Evans that much more enjoyable. The food was good and incredibly filling. We enjoyed ourselves. I love their biscuits and am sad that they don't give complimentary biscuits, rolls, and sliced banana nut bread like they used to. I'm guessing they needed to cut food costs. They sell their banana nut bread near the cashier, along with plenty of other sweet treats. When you're finished with your meal, take your receipt to the cashier at the front of the restaurant and pay there. read more

I do not go into a lot of different restaurants, but Bob Evans, in Washington, deserves a perfect five star review. The service was great and friendly, the waitress provided us with drinks when emptied, and their food was spot on. I forgot to take a picture of my order, but it was great. read more

This review is for the hostess - Decided to go to Bob Evans on route 50 in Chantilly when here for a weekend. When I arrived there were 3 guest ahead of me. A couple came in and said they wanted to be seated where Patron is the server. They were immediately seated. At this time there were three guest that came in after meI asked the host why were they seated before me she said "because they requested a server and he had an opening". I said is this not first come first serve? She looked as though she was confused about the question. Does asking for a particular server put you at the top of the list? Although the wait was not long after that. The point is everyone on the list should have been seated prior to them. The host should have known that. SMH - talked to the mgr - what a waste of time! read more

So I know that this is a restaurant chain and the experience at one does not reflect the experience at all, so this review applies to this location only. I've been coming here for breakfast on the way to work for several years and while the food has been consistently good, the service has suffered. It's not uncommon to wait 10-15 minutes to order the meal, even when not really busy. Why? The wait staff seems to know those early morning patrons and spends time catering to their needs at the expense of others. It's great to be friendly to repeat customers but there needs to be some line drawn. Anyway, expect good food but not a quick meal. read more

Aside from the rock hard pancakes, cold hash browns and eggs, the food was good. We were not greeted with a smile, and the hostess gruffly told my daughter, "get your straw." Once seated it took several minutes to receive our beverages. Our waitress did not provide her name, nor did she make eye contact once during our exchange. My husband had to get up and go to the cook line to ask for more water and tea. She had another waitress (very kind btw) bring new pancakes after ANOTHER waitress recognized our displeasure with them and put the order in. Took even longer to for an entirely different waiter to bring our check. Saw her name on the check. E - Please find another job if you can't or won't provide the bare minimum in customer service. Given our overall experience we will not be back. read more

The service at Bob Evans has gone down the hill. I'm currently at this location. I have observing 2 managers behind the counter while one is busy playing with her phone and the other doing service been seated now for 10 minutes and not one server had approached us for our order. Then a server walked up a table and offered a refill on coffee and didn't even bother to say have you been help or has your server been to your table to take your order. No wonder why people are ordering from online service to get there food because people have no customer service moral anymore. People want to get paid but not help you. read more

All I can say is thank God I've never ordered out for Thanksgiving dinner before. Here's my experience with Bob Evans in Chantilly the one next to the Longhorn steakhouse. My son arrived to get the food on time called them and they said they would be right out. He waited 15 minutes, no one came so he went in. They said they couldn't find the order so he showed the confirmation number and the order. They look perplexed obviously they gave it away to somebody else. He proceeded to wait another 20 minutes while they made the meals. Two of the meals were supposed to be the same and one was different, and all of the meals had in bold letters, no gravy, they put gravy on every single item in the dinner! Yuk! The turkey was from a processed turkey roast. Tasted nothing like a real turkey. The stuffing was mushy and spicy like we were having a Cajun dinner! The gravy also had a hint of Cajun. What is going on with Bob Evans? A traditional American meal preparation and ingredients changed over night. Perhaps I should have stuck with Cracker Barrel but they had no ham option. The Manager was not too concerned when I called from home. read more

Took over an hour to prepare a carry out order for three people. No explanation why. Will never order from there again.

I went to Bob Evans on 11/1/19 for dinner. I really wanted to like this restaurant because it is close to home. However it took over 30 mins. to receive my eggs. I asked for additional butter.
