Omg what delicious food! Uptown Cafe is a small family owned business in a busy plaza with plenty of parking. The seating is a bit limited as it's a small place but I always order to go. But let me tell you this is some of THE BEST Food I've had in a looong time. It hits all the marks: fresh ingredients; perfect spicing, flavors and mixes; healthy options; tastes homemade because it is; and has a variety of food to choose from. I usually get the Caribbean Jerk Chicken bowl which is amazing because its individual components are just as tasty by themselves as they are complemented by each other in the bowl. It has grilled dark meat chicken which is packed with a unique jerk flavoring special to this place; I literally don't like chicken most of the time and especially have a hard time with grilled chicken, but at uptown cafe I would eat that chicken for every meal by itself that's how much flavor it has! Then it is complemented by house made pico de gallo (I always get extra) always fresh, seasoned white rice, corn, shredded cheese, grilled onions (I don't get these as I'm not a huge onion fan), lettuce, and homemade chipotle sauce that is particular to Uptown cafe (I haven't tried another like it) and so good it's addicting! To top it off they always have a soup of the day which is made from scratch. My favorite so far has been the vegetable dumpling soup which included carrots, scallions, onions and a tasty broth. They also have had tomato bisque, chicken noodle, chicken pho, and spicy chicken tortilla. They offer a range of other food items like salmon poke and beef bulgogi bowls, wraps, and breakfast burritos which I hope to try soon. They also have a huge variety of unique drinks and bakery items that change day to day. The portions are huge and definitely filling. I usually can't even finish my bowl by myself, so the value for the quality and quantity of food is excellent. The service is amazing as it's run by the sweetest owners who are always very kind and accommodating and truly care about you and your order. They always make my day with their smiles. TLDR: A small cafe with plenty of delicious food options and owners who make your day and truly care. Definitely try their Caribbean jerk chicken bowl and their homemade soups! Service and food here were both great! Unfortunately it's a little small so it's not ideal for a group if you want to dine in, especially because it seems so popular. There's one large table that's maybe good for a family and then a couple of smaller tables and a counter, so there IS seating just very limited. I got the dirty matcha and the breakfast burrito - both delicious! My sweet tooth wanted the matcha to be sweetened but that was my miss for not asking. The burrito was pretty filling and I was stuffed after eating both halves of it (there were 2 others in my group who also got the burrito and they could only finish half). Uptown Cafe definitely exceeded my expectations. The online ordering was a little odd to me because they use Shop, which I associate with retail not food, but it all worked out. The man working, presumably the owner, was so kind and helpful when I came in to pick up my order. The food being wrapped in newspaper is cute and I like that the menu isn't too stacked, makes choosing easier. I ordered the chicken fajita wrap and I couldn't recommend it more! First time, won't be last. I love me a good Korean deli that's well run. Uptown Cafe has all the hallmarks- fresh ingredients, clean interior, fusion items, Korean handwriting on signs, etc. I placed an order online and when I went to pick up, the owner? Manager? Was conversing with the girl in front of me and he remembered her order. The cafe is adjacent to an apartment complex and seems to be a hub for its residents. It's also directly across from from Sedona Taphouse. I got a California wrap no ranch, add chipotle sauce. Delicious! I thought cucumbers in it would be weird but it was actually really refreshing and added a nice crunch. My friend got the chicken panini which was also delicious but not as good. I thought the bread was just okay. Both were assembled well with even layers of ingredients throughout. Next time I want to try the jerk chicken bowl everyone seems to be raving about. The place is small but very clean, priced well, great portions and the food was amazing. The special of the day was grilled onion beef Sliders and they were to die for. They gave us some recommendations on what's popular and about their specials that rotate and gave us the menu so it's easier to look at then the big board behind them. It's clean and bigger than you may think with seating going down the little hallway on the side. Visited Uptown Cafe this weekend for brunch, where both their breakfast and lunch menus were still available. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly welcomed--by who I assume is the owner. We probably looked a little lost while scanning the menu (because we were), so he kindly gave us insight into the most popular items, which we really appreciated. I ended up going with their well-loved breakfast burrito and a white mocha iced latte. The burrito did not disappoint--in fact, it was beyond excellent. It was packed with flavor, yet surprisingly light, and unlike most breakfast burritos, it wasn't greasy or oily at all (no messy spillage!). As for the white mocha, it was exactly what I expected--delicious and satisfying. The cafe itself is super cute, though I will note that indoor seating is limited. Most tables are set for two, with one table for three, and there's a high-top bar that could fit a group of four, though that doesn't seem to be its main purpose. However, I heard there are plenty more seating options outside when the weather is nice, so I'll have to come back and check it out. I highly recommend stopping by this cafe (they also have fresh pastries!) and trying a breakfast burrito. Plus, the owner and his family are the sweetest people. read more

I'd also imagine their coffee is just as good. Now let's get on to the food. Bulgogi Banh Mi Most Banh Mi's tastes more like a salad than sandwich to me. This is not most Banh Mi's. It has the classic pickled Banh mi flavor with a clean shot of that sweet and savory bulgogi profile. Also the bread was the perfect combination of crunchy and soft. Almost like I was biting down on a toasted cloud. Never imagined I'd describe Banh Mi as Hearty, but that's the perfect way to describe this sandwich. 16 oz Pho Drink Pho out of a 16 oz size soup cup is life changing. The experience was just more nourishing for the soul. I couldn't tell you why, but it's something you're gonna have to try and trust me on. The Pho was amazing by the way. Still had noodles and good portion of chicken. Was told they only serve this on Tuesdays, so if you have the opportunity I would definitely stop by. This place is very unique in the sense that I'd rather come here to catch up with a friend over food than go to a coffee shop. Everything I saw come out to other tables looked great too, and they have different drink options and a grab and go section too. I've had plenty of jerk chicken and there was no taste of the seasoning in this one. Although the vegetables in the bowl were fresh, it was topped with a bit too much chipotle sauce, which ruined it even more. I will say that the portion of the bowl was decent, though. My latte was also mediocre. They didn't have oat milk either. The staff who took my order looked like the owner or manager and he wasn't the friendliest nor was he trying to be helpful. read more

A friend recommended this establishment to host a small gathering with my closest friends who lives nearby to explore a new venue. I am very pleased that I had this opportunity. The cafe is located within a small retail center that is part of a new development in Chantilly. The weather was ideal for outdoor seating; however, the area was quite busy with others enjoying the weekend, just as we were. Uptown had indoor and outdoor seatings offered. First and foremost, the food was outstanding. Some of my friends ordered breakfast dishes that were accompanied by a delightful aroma. Each meal was prepared to order and featured an abundance of fresh ingredients, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Although a bagel with cream cheese was not on the menu, the cafe owner graciously made an exception for us. The staff at Uptown were exceptionally attentive, providing prompt service. I am curious if this is a franchise, as I recall seeing Uptown Cafe in another business location. I look forward to returning to sample more items from their menu especially their espresso drinks. If I could give this place 50 stars I would. Incredible. When I walked in, I noticed the place was very clean. I was greeted by a very pleasant woman who was courteous, friendly and patient with me as I ordered a few dishes with adjustments and things on the side- yes I am that guy. Exceptional customer service which is hard to find these days and worth going back for just for that alone. Now for the food. Exceptional. The fries and the Hawaiian salmon bowl were delicious. I have never had a poke bowl that had such fresh quality ingredients. It was also very filling and a very large portion. My friend loved their steak and cheese sub as well. Superb. They have a decent amount of outdoor seating, but obviously it's reliant on the weather. I have been trying to keep this place to myself for a little while but I could not much longer. I have grown fond of everything this little cafe had to offer. The food is outstanding. Not a lot of cafes/restaurants can do asian/american fusion well however, uptown cafe does it perfectly. From their daily soups that ranges from tomyum, pho, to chicken noodle soup, I have loved all of them. Their wide variety of sandwiches, bowls, and wraps makes me struggle to choose. Every single menu item that I have tried (even the drinks), I have enjoyed delightfully and its been made with love. The service is another level. I believe that it is ran by a family and they are super sweet. The owners always ask me how I am when I return, and they greet us everytime whenever we enter or leave. They are super caring and they are even more attentive to their customers, always doing their best to accommodate. They truly make you feel like family here. The ambiance is very welcoming. They have big windows that lets the light shine brightly through, and it captures such a great atmosphere when you are conversing or enjoying your food. If I could keep this place a secret I would but I wanted to share and encourage as many people as I can to visit here. First the service, despite my arrival at 7:57 when they closed at 8, they were extremely warm. They answered all of my questions, and they gave me great recommendations. I was debating between the dumplings and the onion rings. The owner recommended the dumplings based on my order and threw in a few delicious onion rings with my order. What a beautiful new store started by the same owners who previously had the store in Centreville's Trinity Parkway... This new store is a beautiful store front near the 28 exit near Texas Roadhouse.
