I ordered the Bulgogi sandwich, and it was so flavorful! The bulgogi was tender and packed with deliciousness! I enjoyed every single bite! I for sure want to try the rest of their sandwiches! They also offer a lot of pastries and desserts that I really would like to try. They have macarons, brownies, cupcakes and other pastries. They all looked so good on the shelves. The staff are polite, and they work quickly to try to get orders out in a timely manner. There's plenty of tables and chairs and would be good for a small group or a big group. Went to Tilly's Kitchen/ Gavi Brunch for a quick snack and drink.. From Gavi Brunch Cafe, I ordered their Lady Matcha which is labeled their BEST drink on the menu. It's a matcha latte with strawberry milk base and strawberry popcorn as a topping. I asked the worker if the drink came sweetened and she said yes. I have been craving a Matcha Latte all day so I was super excited to try it. While I was waiting for my drink, I noticed that the table next to me didnt drink their Lady Matcha drink either. I was thinking that the drink wouldnt be good since they didnt drink theirs but I was holding out hope. .. This is one of the worst drinks I have ever tried. It was grassy and bitter. Whoever made the drink, did not fully whisk out the matcha powder and my drink was spotty and powder-y. The drink was not sweet in the slightest. I asked one of the workers if they could add simple syrup; hoping that would make it test better.... it didnt. Gavi Brunch Cafe is located within the food hall in the middle of Chantilly. Not to be confused with their Centreville location. Parking is easy and free. Service prompt and wait time minimal. The matcha Einspanner I got was very creamy and a tad bit on the sweeter side. Their tarts and pastries didn't taste very fresh. The cream topping on the tart had a hardened toothpaste consistency. Just stale and yucky. Pretty to look at, however. I know this location is well known for their sandwiches so I am willing to give them a try in the future. I thought the matcha salt bread was gonna have MATCHA CREAM!!! It did NOT. I was massively disappointed by the salt breads both were not buttery or flaky enough. Also didn't taste very fresh. I also tried the matcha cream croissant and while the cream was good the croissant itself was so unfresh and soggy. Some may find it difficult to eat because it is quite thick you have to smush it down a bit. My issue is with the drink I got. Iced matcha lattes are usually one of my go to, but this tasted super chalky and thick. It was easily one of the worst matcha lattes Ive had unfortunately. I visited Gave Cafe on Metrotech Dr in Chantilly today and ordered an affogato. The portion I received was much smaller than what is shown on the menu. It looked like only one scoop of ice cream instead of the two pictured. I brought this up immediately to the staff member who prepared it and even showed her the cup. However, she insisted that she had added two scoops, despite the quantity clearly not matching. This was very disappointing, not only because of the portion size, but also because the concern raised was not acknowledged even after I pointed it out on the spot. Normally I would order no tomato (I don't like the slimy texture in sandwiches/burgers), but i ordered as is. The only thing I would change is asking them to hold the lettuce, there was an overwhelming amount of it...and I'm a messy sandwich eater! The Tiramisu Latte... it was just ... weird? I opened the lid and there was something floating in it. I thought maybe it was an accident, something fell in the cup when they were making the latte, then I thought, maybe it was an attempt to add "texture" being that it's a Tiramisu latte.....either way, I didn't like it at all. I liked their citrus and ricotta salad that comes with arugula. The arugula isn't as peppery which I prefer. My kids enjoyed their bacon egg sandwich. The food items are solid here but I think I prefer their drinks. We like their smoothie options and lattes. I like how I can customize my tea with oat milk and different flavors of simple syrup. At 10:15am on a Saturday, I had no trouble finding a good spot. Accessibility The main entrance near Gavi café has ~6 shallow concrete stairs with metal railing. There appears to be a wheelchair-accessible side entrance with a gentle incline and railing. I didn't confirm the full path, but accessibility seems reasonably considered. Food The standout was the bulgogi cheese egg sandwich--messy but flavorful, especially the meat and bread. Use the box and wrapping to manage the spill. The black sesame bingsu was also great. Sandwiches run ~$12, drinks ~$6. Free lemon water, plastic water cups, and (I think) plastic cutlery are available. Napkins are essential if you're getting a sandwich. When we came, it wasn't that busy but the crowds tend to follow us so it got pretty hectic. We had to wait 30 minutes to get my sandwich and two drinks. Pretty long in my opinion. My wife got her short rib dish shortly after. It's honestly hard to point out any of the positives, besides the space itself. The sandwich was hard to eat and broke apart, was messy and wasn't that good. The barista was incredibly respectful and accommodating though and made me a different, less sweet Biscoff Latte on the house, which I enjoyed considerably more. It wasn't as sweet, and I was a fan of the latte coming with a Biscoff snack on top to nibble on. also tried my friends' black forest latte and pistachio bomb. the black forest latte was decent if you like more fruity or tart flavor in your drinks. the pistachio latte was okay - I still prefer the ones at 1) Frame, or 2) Shotted Ate the Tonkatsu egg sandwich. The bread texture was crisp on the outside but fluffy inside, just wish it came with a little more Tonkatsu sauce. Also tried the spicy chicken, and kimchi bulgogi egg sandwich. My favorite was the kimchi bulgogi, it tasted the most balanced (acidity from kimchi, sweet/umami from bulgogi, and butteryness from the brioche) of all the sandwiches my friends and I ordered. Atmosphere: spacious and lots of seating. There are separate enclosed rooms for more seclusion if you want to get some work done or more private space with your friends. I got the cream-filled scone, which has always been my favorite thing to get here. Lately, I haven't seen them around as much, so I was really excited when I finally found one. Unfortunately, when I brought it home, I noticed something was off--the smell wasn't right, like it had been sitting in the fridge for a few days. The cream's consistency was thicker and hard, not the soft and fresh texture I'm used to. The flavor also had that "been in the fridge too long" taste.
