Gavi Brunch Cafe is located within the food hall in the middle of Chantilly. Not to be confused with their Centreville location. Parking is easy and free. Service prompt and wait time minimal. The matcha Einspanner I got was very creamy and a tad bit on the sweeter side. Their tarts and pastries didn't taste very fresh. The cream topping on the tart had a hardened toothpaste consistency. Just stale and yucky. Pretty to look at, however. I know this location is well known for their sandwiches so I am willing to give them a try in the future. But the tarts and pastries are a hard pass.

Gavi & Tilly's Cafe is welcoming of PETs on the Patio! I brought my pup to breakfast as we were out running errands all morning and wanted a break. With good food. And not eaten in a CAR. So we can for Gavi's amazing breakfast sandwiches, their little treats like this tiramisu and drink options. The food was good, the outside was relaxing and honestly it's so calming that my pup is welcomed into places making this a experience for the whole family. If they had some rice topped with sweat potatoes I would def buy a bowl for him.

Hibiscus Mango Smoothie, Bulgogi Sandwich, Donkatsu Sandwich, Viet Coffee

The sandwiches were great and very filling. The Bulgogi was our favorite. The Donkatsu sandwich was really good too though. The Honey Ricotta Toast was a bit too toast for me. It was tasty, but hard to eat with the bread being so hard. I wouldn't do the toast again, but the Bulgogi Sandwich was so good that we order another to go. The staff was nice enough to tell us how we could warm it up when we got home. Great! Overall, a very enjoyable experience. I love the idea of a food hall.

First time ordering and definitely not our last! My coworker suggested Tilly's but I asked if she can grab my Gavi order...well everyone started looking at the website and suddenly changed their mind on Tilly's. Next thing you know there's seven Gavi orders! My bulgogi sandwich was so good. I think I ate it in record time like my life depended on it! My associate got the steak and cheese; he noted to add tomato but didn't expect them to even notice but they were on there and he was happy! Another associate said the Peruvian chicken sandwich was delicious as well! Gavi will now be part of our regular rotation

Salt bread, matcha salt bread

I thought the matcha salt bread was gonna have MATCHA CREAM!!! It did NOT. I was massively disappointed by the salt breads both were not buttery or flaky enough. Also didn't taste very fresh. I also tried the matcha cream croissant and while the cream was good the croissant itself was so unfresh and soggy. The mango croffle was good I think because i didn't need to be as flaky to be fresh. The cream again was def the better part of both. The hot chicken sandwich is good though. Maybe it could be a bit more spicy and flavorful but it was solid. The seating in here is great and love the vibe of the whole place.

Matcha and Strawberry & Matcha Bingsoo
Wingyan L.

I stopped by GAVI Brunch Cafe after 8pm and learned that the kitchen closes at that time, so they're only serving drinks, cake by the slice, and bingsoo in the evening. Not a huge issue since I was mainly in the mood for something sweet, but it's definitely something to know before you go. I really enjoyed my Hojicha Latte -- smooth, cozy, and easily the highlight of my visit. For dessert, I tried the Yogurt Blueberry Cake Slice, which was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really stand out or feel memorable. Unfortunately, the bingsoo was the biggest letdown. I ordered both the Matcha Bingsoo and the Strawberry & Matcha Bingsoo, and they were disappointing. The texture and flavor leaned heavily toward tasting like shaved milk, and that's just not how I personally like my dairy-based desserts. I was hoping for more depth -- like stronger matcha flavor, and more layers of fruit and syrup to balance everything out. Overall, I'd come back for the drinks, but I'd probably skip the bingsoo next time.

Matcha Strawberry Bingsoo + Strawberry Cream Scone + Iced Chai Latte

We wanted to try the new addition that replaced Semicolon Cafe. - Matcha Strawberry Bingsoo -- yummy, but pricey for the portion size - Strawberry Cream Scone -- too dry - Iced Chai Latte -- too watered down The interior is a modern food hall with open and secluded seating. Overall, the service was prompt and decent.

Iced Tiramisu Latte (S)

FOOD We tried the donkatsu and kimchi bulgogi sandwiches, both of which were beautifully presented and filling. The donkatsu sandwich was on the heavier side and a bit messy to eat. The kimchi bulgogi sandwich was incredibly juicy, but the juices pooled at the bottom, leaving one half of the sandwich soggy that was prone to falling apart. We found ourselves needing extra napkins to catch the mess and wished the plates were larger to better accommodate the sandwiches' size and messiness. DRINKS I had the iced tiramisu latte, which was light, flavorful, and not too sweet. While it included mascarpone, a rolled wafer, and a sprinkle of cinnamon or chocolate powder, the $7+ price tag felt steep for what it offered. SERVICE The staff were kind and friendly. AMBIANCE Tilly Kitchen provides a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for catching up with friends or working remotely. The space offers free Wi-Fi (no password required) and plenty of outlets throughout the seating areas. The bathrooms in the back of the food hall are clean and tidy. PARKING Ample parking is available both around the food hall and in the neighboring plaza, making it easy to find a spot.

Gavi Cafe ('gabee') is located inside Tilly Kitchen, and they offer breakfast and brunch options - specifically, they are popular with their Korean toast all-day sandwiches, as it was added to this new spot that overtook Semicolon Cafe. We came here for an early lunch, and ordering via the kiosk was super convenient: +a Bulgogi K-BBQ Cheese Egg toast sandwich - this came with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, scrambled eggs with mozzarella cheese, and bulgogi, drizzled with a house sauce; the brioche toast was super thin, and could have been more toasted and buttery, as it just tasted like white toast; another issue was that even though we were waiting for a bit for this order, the sandwich didn't even come out piping hot, and it was didn't seem to be heated through appropriately +a Chai - this was awful - super watered down, not sure if they used some off-brand syrup to just flavor the water, but this was gross and undrinkable; we had to ask for a refund for this one! +and, a Mango Lemonade - this was okay, but it tasted slightly artificial It's unfortunately, because the sandwich, when prepared and actually served piping hot, could have been tasty, especially with the house sauce that they use. The staff here are friendly, but they're more on the slower end and has no sense of urgency. +cold toast sandwiches +avoid their beverages +slow service +located inside Tilly Kitchen +plenty of parking in large plaza lot

Separate matcha from matcha latte
Brandon C.

Food Hall style place. Order at the stand and pick a table. Nice chill spot. Sandwich was decent. $12 for a thicc egg sandwich. Some may find it difficult to eat because it is quite thick you have to smush it down a bit. My issue is with the drink I got. Iced matcha lattes are usually one of my go to, but this tasted super chalky and thick. It was easily one of the worst matcha lattes Ive had unfortunately. I didn't end up drinking it and the matcha eventually separated from the water inside. Pretty gross.

Great for quick brunch and desserts! The kimchi bulgogi is a must try! They also have a good menu for coffee and even bingsu!

Chicken Salad Sandwich - just ok
Linda B.

Yes, this was good, but not wonderful. Not sure what the what the plain einspanner latte was going to be, but it was alright. I ordered through Uber eats and it was delivered quickly, but everything was all right. I also ordered a chicken salad sandwich on sourdough and added avocado. I also ordered a brewed coffee with oat milk. Everything tasted alright. May or may not order from here again. It's up in the air. Sorry!

I was previously a big fan of the Semicolon cafe and was sad to hear that it was no longer. In its place is the Gavi Brunch Cafe. I came to find out that it is nearly the same menu and actually has a bigger menu! I ordered the Bulgogi Sandwich. I got it with Lettuce, Bulgogi, Egg, and the most delicious sauce. It was so aesthetically pleasing that I almost didn't want to eat it. It was so delicious. I can't wait to go back.

Omg what delicious food!…read more Uptown Cafe is a small family owned business in a busy plaza with plenty of parking. The seating is a bit limited as it's a small place but I always order to go. But let me tell you this is some of THE BEST Food I've had in a looong time. It hits all the marks: fresh ingredients; perfect spicing, flavors and mixes; healthy options; tastes homemade because it is; and has a variety of food to choose from. I usually get the Caribbean Jerk Chicken bowl which is amazing because its individual components are just as tasty by themselves as they are complemented by each other in the bowl. It has grilled dark meat chicken which is packed with a unique jerk flavoring special to this place; I literally don't like chicken most of the time and especially have a hard time with grilled chicken, but at uptown cafe I would eat that chicken for every meal by itself that's how much flavor it has! Then it is complemented by house made pico de gallo (I always get extra) always fresh, seasoned white rice, corn, shredded cheese, grilled onions (I don't get these as I'm not a huge onion fan), lettuce, and homemade chipotle sauce that is particular to Uptown cafe (I haven't tried another like it) and so good it's addicting! To top it off they always have a soup of the day which is made from scratch. My favorite so far has been the vegetable dumpling soup which included carrots, scallions, onions and a tasty broth. They also have had tomato bisque, chicken noodle, chicken pho, and spicy chicken tortilla. They offer a range of other food items like salmon poke and beef bulgogi bowls, wraps, and breakfast burritos which I hope to try soon. They also have a huge variety of unique drinks and bakery items that change day to day. The portions are huge and definitely filling. I usually can't even finish my bowl by myself, so the value for the quality and quantity of food is excellent. The service is amazing as it's run by the sweetest owners who are always very kind and accommodating and truly care about you and your order. They always make my day with their smiles. TLDR: A small cafe with plenty of delicious food options and owners who make your day and truly care. Definitely try their Caribbean jerk chicken bowl and their homemade soups! I have been so obsessed with this place since I first went and go there at least once a week now. Their food is so good I literally crave it all the time!! Go, you won't regret it!

It's a nice atmosphere, not too stuffy but elegant enough for a nice dinner. The drinks are good, well mixed, and nice options whether you drink wine, beer, cocktails, or non-alcoholic options. The food, however, is very mediocre. They started with an amuse-bouche that was a fruit tart with cheese. Nice, light, and well balanced. We ordered the tuna tartare, along side a Japanese sweet potato dish and a salmon tartare that were both specials. The tartares were fine. Something you would get anywhere. The presentation was nice but their crisp or cracker was kind of useless as it doesn't have the structural strength to use as a vessel to eat the fish. The sweet potato was probably the best in terms of flavor albeit very rich. The main course is well things really fell apart. The beef dishes people ordered were either under cooked or over cooked. I got the grilled prawns which were limp and mushy. The veggies were underseasoned. The braised beef was small. I think everyone was underwhelmed with the main course. It's fine as a after work dinner spot but if you care about food, there are better options nearby.
