We stopped by Bakery Museum & Co. and had a nice experience overall. The restaurant looked inviting from the outside, even though it's at the end of a strip mall. Ordering is done at the counter, and the process was quick and easy. The staff taking orders were friendly and helpful, and our food was brought out very fast despite the lunch crowd. My husband and I both had the ham and cheese sandwiches. They were good, although nothing especially memorable. The desserts, on the other hand, were delicious. We also picked up a couple of muffins along with an iced tea and coffee. One thing that really stood out was the huge selection of desserts, danishes, cookies, teas, coffees, and other drinks. There was plenty of indoor seating plus a few outdoor tables, so it never felt cramped. The only disappointment was that there were no free refills on the iced tea, which is what kept this from being a five-star visit for me. On the plus side, we signed up for the loyalty program and were pleasantly surprised to earn a free pastry from just this visit. Since we don't live in the area and probably won't be back anytime soon, that was a nice unexpected bonus. Such a wonderful cafe with an extensive menu to choose from. They range from baked goods, sandwiches, bagels, matcha, refreshers, and coffee. You truly cannot go wrong with any of their options. Be warned it does get packed on weekends and I understand why. There are lots of seating with plenty of outlets to study at. The latte was especially good - smooth, well balanced, not overly sweet or too heavy on the lavender. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese, lox, capers and tomato. The bagel was delicious and had the perfect texture, it was just soft enough and chewy. The toppings were delicious. This was my first time here and it did not disappoint! Another great addition to Fairfax. There is no such thing as too many coffee shops. As soon as I entered, I was taken aback by how large and packed it was....and so nicely decorated. They had a list of fall drinks, as well as pictures to go with the drinks, which always helps. We ordered the pink matcha and biscoff latte. I typically prefer hot drinks, but Bella suggested iced instead. Luckily, I Was able to place the order with no ice and still not order hot. Both drinks were insanely amazing. They had a lot of pastries and other food items in front of the counter. After I placed the order I noticed the bretzels and had to try the chocolate one. They offered to warm it up, but the staff said it'll get soggy, so I said I'll take it as is and air fry at home. They also have a lot of Dubai chocolate flavored food items (macarons, brownies, croissants). The customer service provided by Bella was amazing. She was very helpful and friendly. We came on a Friday afternoon, and it was packed. There were also a lot of customers picking up orders to go. They sell a lot of super cute swag including pop sockets, totes, stickers, fancy candles (that look and smell like the beverages they sell). I didn't buy any as I prefer to drink my beverages versus smell it. The coffee shop is located at a small strip mall. There is parking available in the front and around, but fills up fast, shared by other businesses. Would I return? Yea for sure! read more

Sometimes you'll get your order in 2 minutes, while other times the drinks arrive well before the food. I've been coming here for the past two months and have visited five times so far, including two to-go orders, and honestly I've had a great experience overall. I've tried four different latte art drinks, and every single one was beautifully made with excellent attention to detail. My only advice: avoid the busiest hours if you want the full dine-in experience, otherwise you may end up switching to to-go like I did once. There are so many cafés these days that I usually don't leave reviews anymore, but after coming here a few times and trying their coffee, I felt it was worth mentioning. The place is large but almost all seatings were taken so they are extremely busy. As a result, the parking situation is really bad. If I ever owned a coffee shop, this would honestly be it. Bakery Museum & Co somehow gets everything right; the atmosphere, the drinks, the food, and the people working there. The staff is always warm and welcoming, which makes it the kind of place you want to keep coming back to. They also have a rewards program you can sign up for, which is a nice little bonus if you end up becoming a regular (which is very easy to do here). One of my favorite things is that they serve breakfast sandwiches all day, which has officially made this my go-to hangover cure spot. The food is seriously impressive. I've tried their chicken burger (the best chicken burger I've ever had), the lox bagel with the perfect balance of flavors, and the caprese sandwich where every bite is a burst of freshness. The drinks deserve their own moment too. I used to think I didn't like matcha... until I tried it here. Their mango matcha and strawberry matcha are to die for. I recently tried their Lavender Kiss and it's sooo smooth, and the lavender is not overwhelming at all. What a beautiful bakery and surprisingly good coffee! The beans are not bitter and notes of nutty and caramel... it was pretty good. The sandwiches were spectacular and freshly made with care and love! The baked goods are fresh and delicious and it makes the sandwiches soooo much better. My wife loved the lox bagel and dirty matcha. I loved my morning stack on croissant... definitely will try it with the brioche next time. I think a little jam and Tabasco would make the sandwiches soooo much perfect. The service was great... but the best part was the interior decoration! I have really mixed feelings about Bakery Museum. First, the parking situation is rough because of how popular it is. And if you're coming during the weekend, the chances of finding a seat inside are low, even with the ample amount of seating they supply. Second, the line to order gets a bit long, but everyone working is super nice and moving as quickly as they can. Food is where my I don't have a solid opinion. I ordered the hot'n'spicy, which was near perfect to me. The soft pita was the best vehicle for the fillings. The chipotle mayo and pickled jalapeños were pretty flavorful, but the way they wrapped it kept them on only one side. The other side was then pretty standard, bordering bland because the eggs were under seasoned. Decided to give this a try after my nails appointment and got my bf the basque cheesecake. It was very different than the other basque I've tried. Although the top is not as caramelized and burnt as normal, the inside is very moist and creamy, getting that custard like interior. 9/10! I also tried their signature Pink Matcha, and I must agree that it's really good. I can taste a good balance of the matcha flavor and strawberry foam, that is very creamy. I cannot believe that I have never heard of or been to this business before today! This location is absolutely bustling and busy. Upon walking in your greeted with the harm of many different conversations, laughter, and the sound of pure enjoyment on a weekend morning. I do have to highlight the major con of this location, which is the parking. While the parking is not plentiful on top of that, it is a little bit difficult to locate and on a one way inlet. People get very impatient before their morning coffee and it was dicey to get out. All of that aside, I was very happy with what I purchased. I purchased a chocolate chip cookie, which was really large, thin and crunchy. I also purchased a butter cookie, which I think they call elephant ear (at least that is the Spanish name translated to English). Prices seemed reasonable at about three dollars a cookie. I also tried their unsweet tea (1/2 green 1/2 black tea with 1/2 a pump of pomegranate sweetener), and their best known beverage, the tiramisu iced latte. The staff took their time with each individual person did not make you feel like you were being rushed even though the line was long and all the tables were completely full at 10 AM this morning. The lady at the cashier helped me customize my beverage to make it less sweet! The coffee took maybe about five minutes to come out, which was no problem. The food options looked tasty with plenty of breakfast sandwiches on the menu. At the cashier, they had several discounts available if you followed them on Instagram, they provided 10% off which I absolutely utilized and if you provided them a review, they would give you a small beverage for free! I will attempt to claim this at the next time I visit. All in all as a coffee aficionado who very much enjoys a fancy latte after pilates, I would come back again, and I think this business is in fair competition with the other coffee providers in the area. read more

This was such a hidden gem until most recently. They have such a good selection of pastries and drinks. The atmosphere is very nature-like and it's typically extremely crowded. The sandwiches here are so good! They're always on point and I plan to go down the entire list and try all of them. Their pink matcha is really good. There's only once or twice they didn't make the matcha good but most of the time, they're good! There's very limited parking but it's in a small shopping center area. Came here on a Sunday (2/8) after a Fairfax corner 5k run :) lots of other people had the same idea to come here! This place has an industrial cafe feel but still very warm atmosphere. Every spot is filled with seats or decorations. The high ceilings make the place not feel so crowded even though there were so many people! The menu is written as a chalk menu. The bakery items are on an island near the cashier and had lots of unique treats that you wouldn't see at other places. I was very impressed with my egg hash sandwich. The other sandwich we got was a spicy flatbread? The only thing about that is the flatbread gets super soggy so the sandwich fell apart. Very frustrating. Requested no spicy mayo 2xs still had the spicy mayo. Asked for no jalapeños, still had jalapeños. Asked for a different type of cheese, not right. It's gotten a bit old where I won't order food there anymore. Even when they take your order they can't get it right and you have to repeat yourself. Then whoever is making the food, pays no attention to any request. The only positive is that when you send it back and request what you actually ordered they get it right. This round, I tried the pink matcha, which was a little too sweet and had an artificial strawberry note that made me miss the clean, nutty taste I like in my matcha. Balanced it out with my forever fave: the Hot n Spicy brekkie sando. My partner went for his beloved orange espresso tonic -- bright, zippy, and basically a mood booster in a glass. Lunch was the chicken sando, and wow -- juicy chicken with a mustard seed kick that made it dangerously easy to inhale. Wrapped things up with the tiramisu, which had me conflicted: gorgeous presentation with sparkly gold glitter balls, but they were weirdly hard, like someone sprinkled festive marbles on my dessert. Ordered the largest size cold brew they had (with Half n' Half) and a breakfast sammie - a "Morning Stack" - which is scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cheddar cheese, spinach, tomato, and a Sriracha mayo - on a brioche bun. I added extra cheese. The Morning Stack breakfast sammie is filling and tasty. The cold brew was strong and delicious. The only thing I wish they would do different is offer some larger cup/drink sizes on the cold brew. There is a ton of seating inside, free WiFi, good AC, and clean restrooms!
