Was SOO excited to try this place after seeing so much hype all over social media. I've heard amazing things about carrot cake matcha especially. Unfortunately, I didn't think the matcha was anything to write home about. The ratio of matcha powder to water seemed off for the kyoto matcha latte- a bit too watery. Also, $7.50 post tax for a 12 oz matcha latte (not a specialty, regular matcha) is a bit too steep in my opinion. Maybe the hype is due to the aesthetics, because I do agree that the ambiance and vibe of the place are amazing. But if we're strictly talking matcha, it's honestly nothing special and the hype may come from the fact that NOVA lacks good matcha spots.

I loved KIN so much! I felt like I walked straight into Japanese cafe. The vibes were very relaxing and I loved all the wood and little decorations they included. I can tell it's meant to be very homey vibes with the lamps and vinyls! The girls that were working were also so sweet and allowed our dog to stop in as well which was so nice. The star of the show, the matchas. We got one regular matcha latte which had oat milk to have a baseline and then got one banana matcha latte. We loved both of them so much. The matcha is clearly high quality so you're not going to like it if you like American matcha which is more lightly colored and less bitter. Japanese matcha is bold and these drinks did not disappoint. The banana matcha latte was sweet while the matcha latte was less sweet. When I come back I will be back for the matcha latte :)

I had enough share of overrated matchas but this was not one of them. It was a small parking lot but upon entering it felt like someone's apartment, felt like a tight knit area. I ordered the carrot cake matcha as well as banana bread and both were delicious. Banana bread felt like it was fresh from the oven. For the carrot cake matcha, it felt creamy and had the subtle taste of carrot which was interesting but very flavorful. There were 12oz and 16oz and I liked that you can upgrade for only 0.50 cents more. The drink was good and didn't feel watered down and had flavor, overall would come back but note that there will be a wait.

I think this café is owned by a Korean owner because it has a very similar atmosphere to cafés in Korea. I was a little disappointed because they told me they didn't have any bread when I visited. I asked if they sold pastries, and they simply said they didn't have any. At first, I thought they just didn't sell them since there weren't any on the menu, but later I found photos showing that they normally do have pastries. It would have been nice if they had explained that they were just sold out for the day. The café itself is quite small, so seating is very limited. It's also not a good place to work on a laptop. However, if you're just looking for a coffee to go, I would definitely recommend this café. The drinks were good, and it's a nice spot for takeout.

Kin Espresso Matcha was a decent experience overall, but it felt a little pricey for what you get. I tried the matcha yuzu and enjoyed the matcha itself, but I was hoping for a stronger, brighter yuzu flavor. The citrus notes were pretty subtle and got a little lost in the drink. It was still refreshing and enjoyable, but a more noticeable balance of yuzu would have made it stand out more and feel worth the price.

We went on a wednesday morning around 8:30am and there were only a few people inside. There's plenty of parking at the back and plenty of seats for groups and pairs. There is a washroom available for customers. We ordered the banana pudding latte and the biscuit latte. The service was quick and we didn't wait too long for our drinks to be ready. The banana flavor was subtle since it's from the cold foam but the latte was still tasty. The biscuit latte was also good. I will definitely come back to try their espresso tonic when I'm back in the area.

Yummmmm. Heard so many great things about this place and I was so glad I was able to check it out! Smaller parking lot, but right in the heart of downtown vienna. I went on a sunday morning and it was very busy. The line moved pretty quickly. We got the banana latte and kyoto matcha. Both good. I thought the banana flavor was not too strong and the matcha was very smooth. It is a bit more expensive for the size in my opinion (12 oz) but still good quality. Decent amount of seating inside but does give basement vibes.

Tucked in a small unassuming location but clean and bright inside! The menu had a variety of standard coffee and matcha drinks with fun specialties. I got the carrot cake matcha with a slice of banana bread and both were 10/10! Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Very quaint coffee shop in Vienna that has a fun selection of lattes served up with delicious espresso! The drinks were very tasty and the service was fast, and friendly. I will definitely come back to try seasonal drinks. Banana pudding latte was delicious

Excellent service and a great menu. All the drinks are awesome and the toasted bagel was a nice addition. I will definitely return.

Their smoked salmon sandwich is perfection -- fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. The ambiance (hello, soft jazz and warm colors!) makes you feel instantly relaxed. But the real magic is the staff ( M and Soko). Their attention to detail and genuine care turned my tired Friday into a moment worth remembering. If you're anywhere near town, go. Don't think twice.

This cafe is located in Vienna, and there's plenty of free slanted parking in front as well as parking in the complex next to and across if you're willing to walk. I've been to this location when it first opened years ago and they've really upped their menu and decorations inside since. The ambiance inside is beautiful, ideal for anyone looking for a good Instagram picture. There's so many angles and details so that no matter where you're sitting, there's a good vibe. There's also gorgeous seating outside since it can get crowded. For food, you order from the front and they'll call you when the food is ready. We ordered the dubai gelato and pistachio lokmas. Both were presented tastefully to make sure our eyes and cameras wanted to eat before our stomachs. The dubai gelato was a quality dessert with a good ratio of milk: cream. The pistachio flavor was evident on top, but it was just a kinda tart vanilla ice cream with toppings. I did like it, however, and it paired well with the lokmas. The lokmas were fried to perfection, a nice amount of chewy, and covered with a good ratio of pistachio cream. They were a decent size and conducive to sharing. The prices of everything, overall, was pretty expensive, but the quality definitely made up for it. I'd recommend this cafe to someone looking for a unique sweet treat, catching up with a group of girl friends of 2-4 people, or for a first date!

As soon as we entered, General Manager Sam welcomed us like old friends. After we were seated, my wife asked if he had previously worked at The Dabney, and sure enough, that's where we recognized him from. It was great catching up as he shared what he'd been doing since then and how his dream had always been to open his own restaurant. Seeing that dream come to life made the evening feel even more special. The restaurant was busy (definitely make reservations), but we were able to enjoy cocktails while we waited for our table. My Grey Goose martini with bleu cheese olives was phenomenal and set the tone for the rest of the meal. We started with the Bison Tartare and the Ceviche. The bison tartare was leaner than traditional beef tartare, and the crispy chips added the perfect savory crunch. The ceviche was incredibly fresh and bright. For our entrées, I had the ribeye while my wife ordered the Dory. The ribeye was cooked perfectly--juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. My wife couldn't stop talking about how buttery and delicious the fish was. To finish the evening, we ordered the 100-Year Port Flight featuring 10-, 20-, 30-, and 40-year ports. Vertical tastings are such a fun way to experience how a wine evolves over time. The 40-year was absolutely outstanding, and the 20-year was another favorite. The 10-year was enjoyable but still showed its youthful character compared to the older vintages. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between upscale and relaxed. The main dining room can feel a little tight when the restaurant is full, while the bar area has a few TVs for anyone wanting to catch a game. One thoughtful touch that stood out was the women's restroom being stocked with amenities like hair ties and hair clips. We noticed they also offer a tasting menu, and after this experience, that's already on our list for our next visit. Between the outstanding hospitality, exceptional food, excellent cocktails, and welcoming atmosphere, Evelyn Rose absolutely earned five stars.
