About a 1-1.5: I was super excited to check out Frame to get a bit of a caffeine fix, but the experience was just super disappointing. We ordered a drip (freshly brewed), a Banana Bread Latte, and a Pistachio Latte - unfortunately, the coffees were just not strong, and both lattes were super weak and didn't have any distinct flavor to them; they literally tasted the same. The cashier was super sweet and friendly, but the baristas could have been dressed in a smile. The cafe itself is small and have limited tables, but there are also benches outside in their small patio-like area. It seems as if there's somewhat of a limited staff, but the tables/seating areas are not well kept - surfaces could be wiped down often. Parking is available in the shared lot, but can be tight; there's also residential spots as well. No dice, Frame. +watered down lattes +weak coffee +limited seating +parking available

Stopped by Frame Coffee and tried a few drinks -- overall a solid experience. We ordered a matcha, a strawberry matcha latte, and an iced Milky Way latte. The strawberry matcha was the standout for me -- it had a nice, authentic matcha flavor that wasn't overly sweet, and the strawberry added a light, refreshing touch. The iced Milky Way latte had a strong espresso kick, which I enjoyed, and I loved the milk layer at the bottom that made it extra creamy and fun to mix. Service was just average. When I asked for a new lid, the staff kind of "tossed" it toward me, which didn't feel very friendly. On the plus side, the ambiance is nice with plenty of seating, making it a comfortable place to hang out. Overall, good drinks and a nice spot if you're craving specialty matcha or a strong coffee fix.

It was a small coffee shop and nicely decorated. The barista was so nice! There was so many specialty coffees and she helped us pick. We decided on the iced berry blossom white mocha and iced pistachio creme latte. They were both amazing! We loved the coffees. We also got a warmed chocolate croissant which was so delicious. We'll definitely be back!

My coffee was so picture perfect it belonged in a FRAME! We stopped in here on a Sunday and it was super busy- they have 5ish tables and we were lucky to snag a seat. Definitely come early if you want to hang for a while. They have a few parking spots in front which is great! I got the pistachio latte, the coffee itself was good- not sure I liked the pistachio bits in the latte itself (I get it for the aesthetic) but it's weird to chew your coffee... it was a bit on the pricey end $6 for a small coffee. Also, their AmEX acceptance is a bit iffy btw! Overall, loved this cute coffee shops. Would definitely want to come back Monday-Friday when they have their pour overs to try those!

I am always excited to find a new coffee place in the area, and Frame is definitely a good one. The service was friendly and the drinks (my espresso and my fiend's cappuccino) came out very quickly. My espresso was very good. It was my third coffee of the day (and the best of that day), so I didn't try a second coffee during this visit, but I will be back. They follow the specialty coffee blueprint of having a modern, clean aesthetic--a lot of white, chrome, and light colored wood. You could be forgiven for forgetting where you are, but the quality of the drinks is what matters most, and they were nailing it. I look forward to another visit soon.

I'm obsessed with this place!! Too bad I don't live close, but when I'm in town I will be there for sure! Love the coffee / drink options, there are SO many! It is really small inside, but there are a few outdoor seating options as well. They also have an extensive pastry selection! Workers were ON TOP of it, super high flow customer volume but didn't have to wait more than 5min for drinks every time I've been!

I feel like this is a standard cafe. The flavors and quality weren't anything outstanding but still good. The service is friendly and quick. It's a very small cafe with only a few tables so it's not an ideal place to really hang out. I'd come back again if I was in the area but wouldn't really seek it out or go out of my way.

Quick Summary: Outstanding coffee! Food Options (Pastries, Menu): pastries Machine Manufacturer: Slayer Beans: unsure Cup Type (Porcelain, Glass, Paper): porcelain Milk Options Avail: various Latte Art (None, Ok, Great): Great Time taken: 10 mins Merch Avail (Yes or No): tote bags Parking (Plentiful or Minimal): plentiful Indoor Seating (Plentiful or Minimal): minimal Outdoor Seating (Yes or No): Some Cleanliness (1-5): 5 Ambiance (1-5): 5 Review: A fantastic find! This is a small shop but clearly high quality. Soft music plays overhead and there are not a lot of tables. But, the coffee was awesome! The baristas were very busy but still took the time to craft a quality drink. My latte was exquisite! Perfectly textured milk. Great temperature. Awesome tulip on the latte art. Great flavor and super enjoyable. My wife ordered the pumpkin pie latte which was also very tasty! Overall, if you are looking for a high quality coffee drink, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

My only complaint here is that they close at 5 so during the week I can rarely go because of work but finally got to try them out. I got the pistachio latte which was delicious. It's a small cafe but there is indoor and outdoor seating and do they offer some small bites and pastries.

    Signature croffle
    Caroline R.

Overall food was delicious, staff was nice and lattes came out fast! The croissant sandwich was considerable for only $6 and the signature croffle was excellent, so unique. Beware it is a very small space. We were lucky to arrive just before a major rush and could score seats but line behind us built fast and there aren't a ton of seating options if it gets crowded.

I was there when it just open and forgot to review. Just got back for lunch and a coffee. This is a great neighborhood coffee shop. The service and ambience of a standard coffee shop coupled with really good food. Food selection is not huge. Reminds me of coffee shop in Seoul, Korea. Egg and Cheese - pillowy egg and cheese on croissant was extremely satsifying Pout Over - great pour over, very clean and smooth. The beans was not exceptional that day

Small location and limited parking. Seating inside is not the comfiest HOWEVER the staff are super sweet and very kind!love how they bring out the food items to me (im used to going up to get my food) The inside felt very gray and rainy (I did go on a rainy day so it felt gloomy). Ambiance was calm, quiet and nice spot for "locking in".

    Pistachio Cream Latte
    Salma C.

My mother cannot stand coffee, but LOVED the Pistachio Cream Latte (this says a lot!) We both agree we'd come back again for this and other drinks! Out of so many pistachio lattes I've tried, Frame's is more artisanal with high quality ingredients and coffee beans. You taste the pleasant salty notes of the pistachios sprinkled on top, the cold foam is balanced and absolutely delicious (I want to try to recreate this a home now), and it tastes more "natural" as in, it isn't filled with a sugar loaded pistachio syrup/paste. It's a bit pricey- $7 total after taxes, but it's a great treat once in a while. I asked for half amount of simple syrup and found this to be sweet also- good if you want less sugar. I wish this place had other locations since this area is congested in a small building. It seems this place is always busy no matter the time; there isn't much seating inside so it's more of a grab and go place. Maybe next time I can snag a spot and get some work done there!

I was intrigued by the pastrami sandwich options on the menu and really appreciated that gluten free bread was an option, so I had to try it! I was not disappointed at all. The sandwich was hefty - packed with meat, and flavorful. I'm not sure I liked the pile of salad that comes on the side - it's a lot to finish for one person and seems a bit wasteful. The service was good, but the sandwiches did take a bit longer than expected to come out. That might not be the case for other dishes though. I would certainly visit again!

For example, yesterday, I had their Peter's Special, a sandwich made from 1/2 lb of pastrami and 1/2 lb of corned beef. Except that it's not "a" sandwich, but three, all on delicious rye bread, each with its own pickle, and a small helping of slaw, sauerkraut, and a major pile of salad. It was my lunch yesterday; the remaining two sandwiches are my lunch today and tomorrow. That's three meals for $30, which, to me, is a reasonable price. The problem was that the more they do to create the food, the less flavorful it is. For example, on another recent visit, I had their Country Style Omelet. Again, it was huge and contained everything that goes into a great omelet. Except, there wasn't a lot of flavor. And that seems to be the theme. I grabbed a slice of their 24-layer cake and, again, big but not much taste beyond sweetness. If you crave a lot of food, then this might be the spot for you. However, if you prefer less and more, smaller portions with better, more nuanced flavor, then maybe try one of the other nearby restaurants.

They offer a prix-fixe menu that changes seasonally (?) for brunch and dinner. The ingredients here are high-quality and well prepared and cared for before serving. I've heard great things about Maple Ave from a friends, so I took my family here for dinner this past Wednesday. We really enjoyed the creativity of how the dishes were crafted and plated here and the execution was also phenomenal. This time around, it was 59.00 per person for a 4-course prix-fixe dinner (two appetizers, one entree, and one dessert). Since there were only a couple options per section, we were able to try all the options they had. FIRST: APPLE HAZELNUT SOUP Creamy, pale colored soup with a thicker consistency similar to butternut squash soup. It was lightly sweet, yet savory at the same time. There were some pickled apples and toasted hazelnuts delicately sprinkled on top that added a bit of a crunch. The soup was unique and we enjoyed it. FIRST: ROOTCAKE Between the rootcake and the apple hazelnut soup, the rootcake was my favorite. The vegetables were caramelized and made into a patty, topped generously with almonds with some umami aïoli and pimenton sauce. The rootcake was so good. Each bite was hearty and rich, and it's such a unique way to prepare vegetables. The sauce enhanced each bite and the almonds provided a nutty texture. I would recommend the rootcake as your first option. SECOND: CRISPY SQUASH NUGGETS I didn't think I would enjoy the crispy squash nuggets as much as I did. The roasted squash is breaded with panko crumbs, sitting in some dill yogurt sauce and topped with some raisins and radish. The squash were perfectly seasoned and crispy with a soft interior that left my taste buds wanting more. The dill yogurt sauce was a good complement. I'd definitely recommend this option if you're not a fan of mushrooms and/or you want something more crispy. SECOND: WILD MUSHROOM RISOTTO One of the best mushroom risottos I've ever had. It's rich and creamy, filled with truffle flavor. The shiitake mushrooms had a dry, crispy texture. The manchego shavings on top were a great plus. The squash was used for coloring and probably some flavoring? Not sure. The whole thing was really good and memorable. I'd definitely recommend! THIRD: SHRIMP I'm not a huge fan of shrimp, but my family loved it along with the citrus braised fennel. I was a fan of the creamy semolina, though! Overall, it wasn't for me, but that's more of a personal preference. THIRD: PORK CONFIT STEAK The pork they used was pork belly (?) and seared very nicely, topped with perfectly crispy potatoes, mangoes (?), brown butter sweet potato puree and chimi churri sauce. The pork belly melted in my mouth but as someone who's not the biggest fan of fatty pork, I wish it was a leaner cut. The potatoes were so good and went well with the sweet potato puree. Even though I didn't love the pork confit steak, I'd recommend this entree over the shrimp. FOURTH: MOCK FRIED "APPLE" PIE It was zucchini instead of apple and you can't even tell. I loved the crispy pie exterior which was lightly topped with cinnamon. The vanilla bean ice cream was my favorite as it was creamy and smooth. The dulce de leche and lavender honey were nice touches. Very nice way to end the meal. All the food here were so rich with lots of complex flavors. Each dish was so beautifully plated with many vibrant colors. We were quite full after all the food we ate. I would recommend coming here with another person to try all the options they offer here! The food here is unique and well-executed, and I'd be open to come back to try a different seasonal menu.

We ordered the Poulet Gruyere ($12.10) without the cracked pepper...and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. They cut it it in half, exactly as I requested. This crepe was generously packed with chicken/mushroom/peppers/cheese consisting of intense flavors. While I appreciate the generous amount of filling in the crepe, the ratio of crepe to filling was a little off. The filling probably would have been easier to eat in a wrap form. Nonetheless, it was still very flavorful and I highly recommend it. They have an extensive menu including sweet/savory crepes, all-day breakfast, waffles, various beverages. There is definitely something for everyone. The cafe has plenty of seating (inside & outside), but I would assume it may be a little crowded if/when they get busy. Of course I had to partake, so I ordered the special pie, which was a masala, chicken, curry pie, and it was quite good. A bit small for the price point but with the beer included totally worth it also because their fries are so good. I could demolish over a pound of those fries. They were thick potato and maybe the extra added bonus of having to use a glass ketchup bottle added to it. My friend and I were also taught how to properly hit the ketchup bottle to get the ketchup out by the bartender. You find the 57 on the bottle at an angle and bump you palm there that instead of hitting the bottom and hoping and praying that ketchup comes out. It actually worked or at least it was more efficient than trying to hit the bottom of the bottle upside down. I had never had a hand pumped beer before, but it was quite good.
