THE place to go in Vienna for straight-forward food, cold beer, and great service... at very reasonable prices. Hasn't changed in decades - and makes it feel like home. If you're looking for fine dining or fancy cocktails - plenty of other options in the area... this isn't your place

A staple of Vienna, VA, you know this dive bar if you're a local resident or a sucker for cheap chili cheese dogs and beer. And that's what this place does. It knows what it is and hasn't changed since it's opening which gives it a special appeal. If you're looking for this spot to be a pristine shiny bright bar like Cheers, well, that's not it's style. It's a bit dark with the chess/checkered floor tiles with tables all around surrounding the bar area. But you do get a Cheers vibe with all the locals/regulars who stop in here for quick eats. As mentioned in previous reviews, all the servers are usually college students who make sure your beer is filled and you've had enough to eat. Eats start and end with their hot dogs, usually with chili and cheese if you're being proper. It's not the greatest chili cheese dog and sometimes you may wonder why you're ordering it. But the price and nostalgia always hit the spot and the taste reminds you why you're in here. Other eats I recommend are the wings (surprisingly good) and the fried zucchini (always eat your veggies!). Beer is either domestic or local brews that are Vienna Lager. Served in those classic cold mugs, the 80's-90's bar vibes hit once you pick it up and sip from it. Plus they are affordable compared to other places so that's a win in my book. As for other beverages, they have a serve-yourself soda station so you can get as many fills your stomach can handle. I make it a priority to stop here whenever I'm passing through Vienna and you should as well. Don't expect anything boujee; just enjoy a beer and a chili cheese dog here and call it a day. Read less

Fun spot. Chili is decent. Local divey vibe and tons of regulars who seem to be known by name when they enter. No prices on the menu and you tell the cashier what you had on the way out. Nonalcoholic drinks are self service. Odd but it works though they don't really explain it, so if you're a first timer you've got to figure all this out on your own for the most part. Unlikely to return though given the political sign on their front door.

I have been going to the Vienna Inn for a number of years for everything from breakfast to cold brews to a place to watch a game. I decided it's time to post. If you're not paying attention in the car you'll miss it. Small location and small parking lot. I was thinking about a burger and a cold one so I'm sitting at the counter ordering up. The tap is right there, ice cold Yuengling and a cheeseburger with FF. Medium well for the cooking time. The game is on and I'm relaxing enjoying the atmosphere. The building is original to the open date in 1960. It's a Mom and Pop place that has a friendly people working there. My burger comes up with the french fries and and I dig in. The chili dogs are very good as well. Cold brew and chili dogs...solid! Definitely worth the visit before the town of Vienna wants to sieze the land and build a high rise or something.

    The best hot dogs!

By far, my favorite hot dogs of all time are here! I Always get two chili, cheese, mustard. The chili is very smooth with just the right amount of spice. The cheese is a sauce. It's magic and a good amount. The mustard is brown and it just rolls into the other flavors perfectly. The dogs come out in those little, white cardboard vessels. Eating one takes a certain technique so there is no spillage. It's tricky business! You can feel the weight when you pick it up and you need two hands! Turn it with one end aimed at your mouth and bam! All those flavors kick in! OMG! Heaven.

    Gross buffalo shrimp!

We saw mice running crazy, food was disgustingly gross. My stomach hurts!! We showed the videos to the server and she said it's NORMAL!! This is business needs to be closed!

As soon as we entered, General Manager Sam welcomed us like old friends. After we were seated, my wife asked if he had previously worked at The Dabney, and sure enough, that's where we recognized him from. It was great catching up as he shared what he'd been doing since then and how his dream had always been to open his own restaurant. Seeing that dream come to life made the evening feel even more special. The restaurant was busy (definitely make reservations), but we were able to enjoy cocktails while we waited for our table. My Grey Goose martini with bleu cheese olives was phenomenal and set the tone for the rest of the meal. We started with the Bison Tartare and the Ceviche. The bison tartare was leaner than traditional beef tartare, and the crispy chips added the perfect savory crunch. The ceviche was incredibly fresh and bright. For our entrées, I had the ribeye while my wife ordered the Dory. The ribeye was cooked perfectly--juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. My wife couldn't stop talking about how buttery and delicious the fish was. To finish the evening, we ordered the 100-Year Port Flight featuring 10-, 20-, 30-, and 40-year ports. Vertical tastings are such a fun way to experience how a wine evolves over time. The 40-year was absolutely outstanding, and the 20-year was another favorite. The 10-year was enjoyable but still showed its youthful character compared to the older vintages. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between upscale and relaxed. The main dining room can feel a little tight when the restaurant is full, while the bar area has a few TVs for anyone wanting to catch a game. One thoughtful touch that stood out was the women's restroom being stocked with amenities like hair ties and hair clips. We noticed they also offer a tasting menu, and after this experience, that's already on our list for our next visit. Between the outstanding hospitality, exceptional food, excellent cocktails, and welcoming atmosphere, Evelyn Rose absolutely earned five stars.

They are known for their homemade pastas and offered a half size portion so you could try both- couldn't pick a favorite, each different and delicious! One of guests had fish which they loved and another had the ribeye and enjoyed it as well. Don't leave without sharing a dessert- the salted honey ice cream that topped the carrot cake was beyond perfect! Can't wait to celebrate another event there!

It has a clean, upscale feel that honestly reminded me of walking into a Louis Vuitton boutique. Even the logo has that same luxury vibe. We ordered four drinks: the Pistachio Tea, Snowy Jasmine, Jasmine Tea, and Jasmine Apple Tea. My favorite part was that you could actually taste the tea instead of just sweetness. The jasmine teas had a delicate floral aroma that lingered after every sip, and the finish was smooth and refreshing. The Pistachio Tea was rich and nutty without being heavy, and the Snowy Jasmine had a light, creamy texture that paired really well with the fragrant tea. The Jasmine Apple Tea was interesting. I personally enjoyed it, but both of my kids thought it had a slight Pepto-Bismol-like aftertaste. Taste is subjective, though, and I'd still order it again to give it another try. The shop was moderately busy, and all four drinks were ready in about five minutes. We spent around $45 for the drinks, and I also picked up a Molly pin for my teenager, who loved it. The only downside is the price. It's definitely on the expensive side for tea, so it probably won't become an everyday stop for me. That said, the quality of the tea, the beautiful presentation, and the overall experience were excellent. I'd happily come back as a repeat customer when I'm in the area. If you enjoy premium tea that lets the tea itself shine instead of just tasting like sugar, Molly Tea is worth checking out

First time: I had the lobster roll which came heaped with lobster chunks. I had to eat the lobster for a while before I could pick it up or risk the lobster falling out - so nice not to be hungry after getting a lobster roll! It came with a generous serving shoestring fries - really good and grilled corn on the cob. We had Aracely and Delilaha, two friendly and wonderful waitstaff, one of whom was being trained and the other had been there for years. My friend told them that it was my birthday, and they came out later with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with happy birthday written in chocolate and a candle in whipped cream. I was also impressed how even a straw wrapper sitting on the table was scooped up by someone coming by. The tall ceilings gave the restaurant an open, airy atmosphere. Next door is the associated bakery where they have cupcakes, pastries, cinnamon rolls, and other lovely treats.

I ended up biking and there's a bike stand really close by. My friend was craving fish and chips, so we ventured out this way. Because we came on a Thursday they had a deal going where if you ordered a pie, you could get a beer for free. Of course I had to partake, so I ordered the special pie, which was a masala, chicken, curry pie, and it was quite good. A bit small for the price point but with the beer included totally worth it also because their fries are so good. I could demolish over a pound of those fries. They were thick potato and maybe the extra added bonus of having to use a glass ketchup bottle added to it. My friend and I were also taught how to properly hit the ketchup bottle to get the ketchup out by the bartender. You find the 57 on the bottle at an angle and bump you palm there that instead of hitting the bottom and hoping and praying that ketchup comes out. It actually worked or at least it was more efficient than trying to hit the bottom of the bottle upside down. I had never had a hand pumped beer before, but it was quite good. They offer a prix-fixe menu that changes seasonally (?) for brunch and dinner. The ingredients here are high-quality and well prepared and cared for before serving. I've heard great things about Maple Ave from a friends, so I took my family here for dinner this past Wednesday. We really enjoyed the creativity of how the dishes were crafted and plated here and the execution was also phenomenal. This time around, it was 59.00 per person for a 4-course prix-fixe dinner (two appetizers, one entree, and one dessert). Since there were only a couple options per section, we were able to try all the options they had. FIRST: APPLE HAZELNUT SOUP Creamy, pale colored soup with a thicker consistency similar to butternut squash soup. It was lightly sweet, yet savory at the same time. There were some pickled apples and toasted hazelnuts delicately sprinkled on top that added a bit of a crunch. The soup was unique and we enjoyed it. FIRST: ROOTCAKE Between the rootcake and the apple hazelnut soup, the rootcake was my favorite. The vegetables were caramelized and made into a patty, topped generously with almonds with some umami aïoli and pimenton sauce. The rootcake was so good. Each bite was hearty and rich, and it's such a unique way to prepare vegetables. The sauce enhanced each bite and the almonds provided a nutty texture. I would recommend the rootcake as your first option. SECOND: CRISPY SQUASH NUGGETS I didn't think I would enjoy the crispy squash nuggets as much as I did. The roasted squash is breaded with panko crumbs, sitting in some dill yogurt sauce and topped with some raisins and radish. The squash were perfectly seasoned and crispy with a soft interior that left my taste buds wanting more. The dill yogurt sauce was a good complement. I'd definitely recommend this option if you're not a fan of mushrooms and/or you want something more crispy. SECOND: WILD MUSHROOM RISOTTO One of the best mushroom risottos I've ever had. It's rich and creamy, filled with truffle flavor. The shiitake mushrooms had a dry, crispy texture. The manchego shavings on top were a great plus. The squash was used for coloring and probably some flavoring? Not sure. The whole thing was really good and memorable. I'd definitely recommend! THIRD: SHRIMP I'm not a huge fan of shrimp, but my family loved it along with the citrus braised fennel. I was a fan of the creamy semolina, though! Overall, it wasn't for me, but that's more of a personal preference. THIRD: PORK CONFIT STEAK The pork they used was pork belly (?) and seared very nicely, topped with perfectly crispy potatoes, mangoes (?), brown butter sweet potato puree and chimi churri sauce. The pork belly melted in my mouth but as someone who's not the biggest fan of fatty pork, I wish it was a leaner cut. The potatoes were so good and went well with the sweet potato puree. Even though I didn't love the pork confit steak, I'd recommend this entree over the shrimp. FOURTH: MOCK FRIED "APPLE" PIE It was zucchini instead of apple and you can't even tell. I loved the crispy pie exterior which was lightly topped with cinnamon. The vanilla bean ice cream was my favorite as it was creamy and smooth. The dulce de leche and lavender honey were nice touches. Very nice way to end the meal. All the food here were so rich with lots of complex flavors. Each dish was so beautifully plated with many vibrant colors. We were quite full after all the food we ate. I would recommend coming here with another person to try all the options they offer here! The food here is unique and well-executed, and I'd be open to come back to try a different seasonal menu.
