Caboose Tavern is the perfect stop after spending some time on the W&OD Trail! Whether you're finishing up a long run, bike ride, or just exploring the trail, this is a great place to relax, grab a drink, and refuel. I especially love how convenient the location is right next to the trail. There's something extra satisfying about finishing a long run and rewarding yourself with some good food and drinks afterward! The laid-back atmosphere makes it an easy spot to hang out and unwind. read more

This was my first time here today and I enjoyed it! It's a nice casual spot for a beer and some food, with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's right off the W&OD trail so perfect if you're biking or running and need a little break! Servers here are so nice too. I'll be back for sure! read more

Visited the caboose tavern the other day it's a cute corner brewery. Small parking area We went in and no one greeted us for about 2-3 minutes It's assigned seating inside Free seating outside We sat outside You have to order from your phone Drinks- juicy caboosy 10/10 Brew flight 5/10 Food- 2 chicken sandwichs & sweet potato fries with honey mustard, BBQ & buffalo sauce The chicken sandwich decently sized & heavily breaded, the meat was a little pink on the inside. Tucked away Gem that should be explored. I was surprised walking in because of where this brewery was located. I've visited their other location and thought I'd check this one out. First thing I notice was how laid back and cozy this place looked. The staff were dressed in normal clothes and were very welcoming. The either scene felt like you could stay there all day with your favorite group of people. Went with the beer flights and fish and chips. The waiter suggested to try their award winning beer as one of the choice and I see why it was top tier . The food was fresh and delicious and overall had a great time. Parking could have been better and the location was odd but it's very minor things compared to the actual establishment. I highly recommend. read more

I love the casual, laid back vibe of the brewery. The staff is attentive. What surprised me was how good the brunch was. This Bourbon French Toast was top quality. Four thick slices of fresh toast with an amazing flavored butter. The brownie was bigger than expected and mildly sweet. The salted caramel gelato was a nice compliment. Add the hot apple cider as a drink for a cold winter meal. I ate so much that i didn't have any room for their beers. I guess that means i have to come back again. read more

Right off the belt line, this place serves coffee on top of brews. I came here for an event, but we got brunch here as well. I shared a hash with chorizo and an over easy egg. The chorizo was spicier than expected. The iced coffee was alright, I would probably skip on the coffee and just order the food next time. However, it's a great stop for those who are on the belt line as I saw a lot of people who came here as a stop before continuing on their morning rides/runs. They also offered water to those who were on the belt line which I thought was nice. Inside, it's a brewery through and through. Industrial type of seating, no carpet so it's loud. But it's like any other brewery. One thing that did separate them was that there was an upper level seating/second floor which I thought was neat that looked down on the bar and the rest of the tables. Overall, Caboose Tavern I thought was pretty neat and would definitely recommend to check out. read more

This place is great. I'm a regular and live right around the corner...so it's my "pub." I'll always be here but there is significant room for improvement. FIRST: no-one wants to see your kids at a brewery. If you do bring them do not sit in the bar area and they should not impact anyone else's time. Caboose really should limit "who" can sit in the limited table areas within the bar area. So frustrating to want to relax with a drink, and kids are howling. It is way overpriced to be a dinner/ food spot. The occasional snack...sure. I think the beers would be better with more focus. There are a lot of beers (plus coffee bar, plus constantly rotating menu etc) and editing or more of a seasonal focus ex: darks in winter, pils in summer. the staff is always smiling and gracious. Just based on turn over, I sense there are some challenges/ lack of organization. The bar staff is great and my favs. I do avoid on the weekends during good weather. Just because of the crowds. read more

I had a good time here. I was hoping for something located on the beaten trail, with more people in the area. This location is pretty much a warehouse, industrial area, not far from the main action in Vienna. Decent spot. I ordered an enjoyable beer and bounced. This is not a sports bar. It's a chill spot, likely for locals. Food options looked great. All good. read more

Good place for a quick cocktail post bike ride. It's conveniently off the wo&d! The pink wyvern was a bit more tart than I thought but still good. Not super boozy and didn't know what it meant by super syrup. My friend got the Eleanor which was pretty good but you can definitely taste the tequila, also a bit tart. None were my favorite but pretty good to try, also wyvern just sounds so cool. read more

Living on a budget with my partner out of work has made our usual outings for food and play more sparse. But when we heard long distance friends were going to be in the area, we had to find a place where we would all enjoy. Caboose Tavern not only met our expectations, but exceeded them with their queer-friendly environment, budget-friendly menu, and excellent quality in drink and food. I ordered the breakfast hash with chorizo, a brown sugar iced latte, and the seasonal drink, the femme fatale. Everything was exceptional, and I loved that I could get the femme fatale to go! Our server was also a complete delight! All in all, we can't wait to return! read more

Located right next to the O & B trail, this brewery is super convenient. They even have bike racks if you want to grab a bite on your next weekend bike ride. You can choose between indoor or patio seating, and if you opt for the patio, you can bring your dog . Our server Drew, is friendly and provided top-notch service. He kept checking in on us and made us feel right at home. This brewery has something for everyone. Their house-brewed hard cider is way better than Austin's Cider and Angry Orchard. Sitting on the outdoor patio on a crisp fall day, enjoying a homemade classic pretzel with freshly ground mustard and great company, this brewery is a real gem of the community. read more

Food was great. Had the grilled cheese with bacon. My husband had the berry salad and that goat cheese vinaigrette was so good! Our appetizer made it out after our food so it wasn't warm. Our waiter had a great attitude and the ambiance was nice. It wasn't too loud and their bathroom had great art. read more

I've been coming for a while (both locations) as I frequent the bike trail and am a huge fan of their beer. Really cool location and interior! I dined inside on this occasion and it was quite hot; it felt like a greenhouse (and I usually have the opposite complaint in the summer). Noodles were way too oily. Combined with the heat, an underwhelming experience. read more

Stopped by when walking along the w&OD trail, and was particularly excited to come here. When we arrived, we failed to be seated, and a waiter told us there were no more seats. We managed to find seating at the bar, and while our bartender was friendly, I hope management organizes staffing much better - everyone seemed incredibly stressed and overworked, which is never nice to experience as a customer. As for the food, I enjoyed the breakfast hash with chorizo, as it was spicy and flavorful. The sandwich was a decent portion, but not too flavorful. My partner was not very satisfied, Overall, felt like the restaurant was too disorganized but has such a nice environment - a shame! read more

I love this location in mosaic and was pleasantly surprised to come across this location while on the w&od trail. It has an opening facing the trail and an area to park your bike. I mainly came in because I needed ice cold water but decided to get a drink to treat myself. My server Sophie was great despite how awfully sweaty i was after my run. She was kind and very personable. She was quick with the water refills and brought me a second glass wish I appreciated so much. Food looks good here but I settled on a pint of the Citra Ipa. The perfect hazy and citrus-y drink. Hindsight I should have ordered the 10oz but they also offer 4oz. They have seasonal cocktails, mocktails, and coffee drinks. The inside was spacious and there is outdoor seating along with an upstairs area. They have a run club meeting here monday nights at 6:30, so that is interesting. read more

Caboose Brewing Company & Tavern is a fun spot to hit up while biking on the W&OD trail in Vienna. ‍ They have a great selection of beers and a variety of options for brunch and lunch. It's all self-service: you scan a QR code on the table and your order will be brought out to you. I ordered a chicken sandwich with a side salad. The sandwich was really good, but the salad was pretty simple--just spring mix and dressing. I wish there was a bit more to it. Overall, it's a great place to relax and refuel during your ride! read more

Stopped here for lunch yesterday after bike riding on the W&OD trail. (Love how convenient this place is, being right ON the trail! Plus there are bike racks with plenty of space for locking up bikes.) We ate at a high-top table on the patio, which was very pleasant. The online menu and ordering system (GoTab) works well (ask a waitperson for the WIFI password for their guest network): one person can place the whole order or each individual in a group can place their own order, and payment is a separate process, where the check can be split in a variety of ways as desired. Some of the menu items shown on their website and in Yelp were not on the menu when we were there (e.g., I don't recall seeing the Brussels, Pork Belly, and a few of the other items), so perhaps the menu changes periodically. Also, when we were there, the Eggs Benedict was "sold out". We tried the Watermelon Ceviche , the Caboose Hash (with chorizo and egg), and the Shrimp and Grits (with a side of bacon); I also had a matcha latte. The Caboose Hash was excellent. The Watermelon Ceviche was very good. The Shrimp and Grits had plenty of shrimp, but it was very "soupy" and salty - it would be better with much less sauce. (The side of bacon was excellent.) One of the hash orders included an over-easy egg but was served with a hard yolk; however, the waitress cheerfully offered a replacement egg, which came out quickly and just right. The Matcha Latte was excellent (I love that unsweetened is an option here, as is a variety of non-dairy "milks"), but it could have been hotter (they were busy, which may be the reason). The whole meal for the three of us cost $84 (including tip), which is a bit pricey for lunch (4 appetizer-sized dishes and 1 matcha latte). read more

Friendly service. Lots of good options and a diverse beer list. Really enjoyed it. Wish it were closer to me but I'll make it a regular stop when I'm in the area or on the WOD. Lots of things on the menu I'd like to come back to try. It's larger inside than it looks from the outside. Heck, it's a lot nicer inside than it looks from the outside! Great brewery. Just one annoyance... ...They have this stupid note on the menus saying they will add a 15% wage fee so they can pay their employees a fair wage. That's great and all but this is confusing and annoying. Just increase your prices until you can pay the wage you want. Don't burden me with the fee notification. Put a note saying your prices may be higher but you believe in paying living wages if you must.... But this, what do I do with it as a customer? Do I still tip? Am I now tipping 35% if my default tip is 20%. No? Yes? I notice your tip suggestions are lower on the receipt which just adds to the confusion... should I use them?!??? Just pay your employees and don't involve us in the itemized expenses. Or charge me an additional 5% for the cloth napkins. And 2% if I use the bathroom. And $1 per beer sample. And an extra 3% if I eat outside because it takes longer to serve out there. Just not a fee followed by a receipt tip suggestion without an explanation of its own. read more

I love this place any time of day, whether with kids, just adults any situation. Great food, great service, great beer.

Clean, airy, pleasant environment with delicious, fresh and local foods. Seasoned and cooked well. The best chicken sandwich around. Love the rotating menu too. Had a nice time at Carboose Tavern with my family, staff were kind and accommodating. My daughter enjoyed watching the cyclists. This place has a more chilled out vibe, they offer a number of healthy bowls, we ordered the adobe chicken (slightly spicy) and the chickpea with feta bowl, they also have a kids menu, so they were happy with Mac and cheese and chicken with salad, they have a variety of different IPAs and we tried their blackberry sour and citrus. Will definitely be back to try out more menu items. read more

This is there smaller location right off the bike path in Vienna. Love the food the servers and the atmosphere

I've been to Caboose a few times now, and while the service is consistently great, the food and drink can be hit or miss. On one of my visits, I went with a group of 6 friends, and two of them weren't happy with their cocktails -- one simply had no flavor, I tasted it myself and agreed with her. However, when we mentioned it to the bartender, they were really understanding and even comped one of the drinks. So while the cocktails might not always hit the spot, the staff is always willing to make things right. I know that beer is the thing they focus on, but I'm not a beer drinker, so I can't really comment on that aspect of the menu. It's possible that their beer selection is excellent, but I haven't tried it myself. As for the food, there have been some dishes that I've really enjoyed, but others have been underwhelming. In particular, the shrimp and grits were not something that I would order again and were a miss. Some of their food seems quite pricey for a tavern but the menu does seem interesting. Nothing particularly stands out as memorable that is a go-to dish that I order. Overall, I would say that Caboose Tavern is a fine choice for a night out with friends. read more

Came here last Saturday with my wife and our best friend before heading to Wolf Trap. We didn't have a reservation but they had a table for us upstairs. They use a QR and mobile ordering system which was easy for us all to use, including our friend that was not tech savvy. The beer was excellent as all 3 of us shared flights. We all agreed that the Bienvenidos Mexican Lager was the best and exceeeded our expectations. My wife and I's second favorite beer was the Clurichaun Nitro Dry Irish Stout. The reason to dock a star is the food is pricy and portions are small so we ended up getting more food at Wolf Trap. We only ended up sharing a Nordic Knot Pretzel which was tasty but smaller than expected and the Chicken Wings with Fog IPA BBQ sauce which was also tasty and about the portion size we expected being six wings. read more
