A large brewery that hosts a lot of festivals and special events. The key with attending special events is to go early. We attempted to go to the stout fest the first day and were unable to find parking and saw lines out the door at 1pm. So, we went for the second day when they opened and had no problems at all finding parking. The space is large with high ceilings and lots of tables, which they supplement with outdoor tables during good weather. There are a number of pinball machines (which only take quarters) along the wall to the right of the entrance. They were very well organized for the Stout Festival and servers were helpful with answering questions about the large number of (around 20, didn't actually count) stouts on offer. You can select a flight of 4 brews to try or go straight for a pint. Eugene's sausages are also sold here and they are outstanding. We opted for sample flights of the stouts since it was the Stout Fest, but they offer a wide variety of brew styles. All of the stouts were excellent and varied from a dry style to much sweeter. My personal favorite was the Black Forest which featured distinct notes of cherry and chocolate, as the name suggests. If you love beer you might just find your new favorite here. We came back to the now Bunnyman Brewing and it is great to see this place still thriving! Got to try a few beers and really enjoyed playing pinball and hanging out. Although we came later in the evening, it was still lively here. We got to chat with the bartender serving beers and learned more about the transition to Bunnyman Brewing. My wife and I arrived early b/c the online notes said the parking and seating fill up fast. Saturday April 4 is when they held their Oyster Fest featuring oysters from Nomini Bay Oyster Ranch. The oysters were delicious but could have been a little bit more chilled. The shuckers were shucking as fast as they could trying to keep up with the orders. I the went back for a dozen grilled oysters. Excellent and rite off the grill, seasoned with herbs, cheeses and bacon! Their beers are delicious and I went for the blonde ale. Very tasty and not hoppy. Great atmosphere for outdoor seating. It was a loverly spring day in VA! read more

Really solid brewery. The merger with Mustang Sally earlier this year means the Bunnyman branding has replaced all the Mustang Sally stuff. With a lot of northern VA breweries closing their doors recently, I'm happy with a merger. It's a big location with a lot of TVs. The Eugene's Sausages location inside is good but it also means they don't allow outside food, so that's good to know. Like nearby Ocelot Brewing, this place has a big pinball machine presence. Came here recently and I guess this place was recently acquired by Bunnyman Brewing. Since I have been to Bunnyman Brewing, I tried to sample all legacy Mustang Sally Brews which they did have. 22 March update: Stopped by Mustang Sally's fundraiser and adoption event with Vindicated Pitbull Rescue. Oh my gosh, the pups were so cute and cuddly. As always, the beer is great and so is the food. Tried the cherry sour ale, paradise stout, vulgar display of coffee stout, and red velvet stout. The pretzels are always good. Tried a couple brats as well; the classic and the Diablo. Both were yummy. If you like some spice/heat, get the Diablo. The pinball machines are always a draw as well. Fun times all around. This place was hoping, Had to really search around this huge establishment for a place to settle. Across the back and side is where you find the beers and food. The staff was super friendly and eager to help. Today, while I was there, Trivia was happening, live music and I saw three or four parties of some sort....balloons and cakes. Looks like with approval you could bring in outside foods. ( I didn't see cakes or cupcakes on the board) This place can accommodate larger groups, great for parties before or afters... Beer tasting is a great way to explore and find what interests you.....like the " White Chocolate" They canned it for me to bring home..which is pretty kool in itself - -- it was pretty loud, soo be ready for that... .....dress is casual or as you please...though I do believe you need to be clothed! My wife is a huge sour beer fanatic, and when she stumbled upon an advertisement for the Sour Phreak Fest at Mustang Sally Brewery, we made immediate plans to check it out. Mustang Sally is located in an industrial/office park complex off the main road in Chantilly. Parking is ample. The sour beer festival set up was interesting. The event required a $5 cover charge on Saturday but was free on Sunday, we subsequently chose to attend on the latter. They had the main patio area cordoned off with yellow police tape and staff at the entrance checking IDs. Patrons were required to pre-purchase drink tickets at $4.50 a pop for an 8oz pour of beer. Additionally, we were given a wrist band which nobody really checked. We opted to buy 4 drink tickets which was good enough for a flight of four beers. We didn't have cash on us and weren't prompted to tip with credit card when we bought our drink tickets, which was a bummer as we desired to tip our hard working bartender. We decided to get our beers inside as they were served in proper drinkware rather than the flimsy plastic cups offered at the outside bar. The bartender informed us that we were only allowed one sample of beer each. We chose four beers for the flight and felt a bit puzzled when they all looked almost exactly the same. The similarities continued when we actually tasted the beers. Despite ordering flavors as varied as strawberry beet and pumpkin cheesecake, the beers all had a congruent flavor profile of clean malt and a slightly tangy finish with subtle superimposed differences (e.g. berry notes for the strawberry beet and pumpkin spice in the cheesecake sour). We are used to more fully flavored sour beers and beers that taste more of their advertised flavor profiles, so the actual brews themselves felt disappointing given that this was a sour centric event. We did enjoy the Mustang Sally space itself. The inside has the classic warehouse brewery vibe but with ample seating and a ton of pinball machines for entertainment. The outside patio, despite essentially being a parking lot, was pleasant and had a good amount of seating. Overall, we enjoyed our afternoon out but found the set up of the sour beer festival a little odd and the beers themselves strictly okay. We would maybe return if in the area, but probably will look to get our sour beer kick elsewhere. read more

They have additional seating inside in the back. They have bar food like pretzels. They have plenty of beer like sours and even beer flight. The service was fast. Excellent beer selection. Food from Eugene's is a perfect pair. Nothing finer than beer and tater tots. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. They have a bunch of pinball machines to play, monthly events catered to specific beer types (Sour Phreak Fest was last month), and trivia nights. This is such an amazing brewery. The selection of beer is always great and I'm able to find something I like (I'm slightly picky with beer). There's like an arcade section in the corner that's always fun. And they have a Eugene's Sausage and Fries here! I like coming here in the fall when I want a more indoor brewery type of experience. Very inviting brewery in Chantilly. I ordered the Flight Risk, appropriately named since they're located near Dulles. But this beer is a Triple New England IPA, 11% ABV. Despite the very high ABV, it was still nicely balanced, kind of strong on the tongue, but not too much. Staff was pretty friendly, they let me sample two beers before I ordered. And of course, there is plenty of pinball and board games. read more

Came to a festival here recently and stopped in the brewery while I was there. Had a chance to try one of your beers while playing pinball. I checked out the sign on the wall about the pinball leagues and I hope to be a part of that at some time soon. The service was fantastic. Even though it was crowded and there were a few tables available for us to sit at, the line line to get a beer moved very quickly and my friend and I were able to quickly get seated. The ambiance of the brewery was big and wide open spaces with lots of tables and a couple of TVs. Unfortunately the TVs weren't showing the football games I wanted to watch and therefore headed off to watch them. The pinball machines were definitely a nice added touch and considering some of them were older machines. It brought back the good old days of playing them at arcades as a youngster! Came here after a visit to the National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy. It's a great place to grab a cold delicious beer and sausages. The menu here is vast and delicious! It has a nice crowd, good and unique beers (the scarlet smoothie sour for example), abundant parking, and what looked to be very tasty food. We discovered this place when we had a sudden craving for Eugene's Sausage & Fries. It's a nice and spacious spot to have beer and food, play arcade games, attend weekly events or just hang out with friends. We got our usual LA Street Dog and Truffle Fries from Eugene's Sausage & Fries. Both were delicious as always. We also tried a flight of 5 beers and I found Phreak: Raspberry, Guava, Pink Himalayan Sea Salt as my favorite among the sours. Service was quick and staff were helpful and friendly. The Mrs. and i went there - a location tucked wayyyy in the back in a nondescript business park - midday on a Saturday. Very ample parking, plenty of lunch-hour seating, helpful staff. Got a five-beer flight and both very much enjoyed the Twisted PBS (a sour with a smoothie-like consistency) and enjoyed some of the others. There's a Eugene's Sausage and Fries location in the place itself, for food needs. And, as mentioned, there are numerous pinball games costing 75 cents to $1 per game. We shall return. read more

This errs more on the 3.5 then 3 stars. Atmosphere- I give this place 4 stars and come on a Thursday night for trivia! The trivia night host is amazing and fun! Also plenty of tables, old school arcade games and cool paintings on the wall. Also nice big bathrooms. Beer-for a brewery I only really liked one beer after trying 6. Wish they had more brews I enjoyed. Food-Eugene's provides food for this brewery and I only tried a strawberry shake and churros but both were delicious! This was a cute little brewery that friends told us to visit. The beer was overall good. My husband liked his hazy IPA, and I enjoyed the mango kiwi sour. They also had food, but we didn't try it. There's tons of pinball machines inside. We didn't have cash so I was disappointed we didn't get to play. My first visit to Mustang Sally was during their stout fest and it did not disappoint! So many stouts to choose from as well as other very delicious beers. They have onsite food truck food options as well as indoor food ordering. Service was great, everyone was pleasant. It's full of pinball machines which was very cool. Very family friendly. Pets are welcome at their outdoor seating option. Pretty big setup in side so I'd say good for groups but get there early! read more

This place is BIG!!! Oh, and this is my 207th brewery visit as well. Anyway, lots of tables and surprisingly lots of pinball tables too. I walked in at about 6pm on a Friday night and it was pretty hopping. Hopping. Get it? That's a beer joke. Yeah, I'm a Dad. Bad jokes come with the territory. A flight of five was in order for me although I did have the option for a flight of four which provided slightly larger pours. I appreciate this flexibility in a brewery just like I appreciate SWPFTD's flexibility. Article One amber lager is a very easy drinking amber. Malt flavor toward but light. SWPFTD would order this one and enjoy it. Laugh With Sinners imperial IPA had good hop flavor with a little citrus. Folk'n Around pale ale had the expected bitterness that lingered on my tongue, but certainly not in a bad way. Crumbs: Key Lime Pie. I sing that song to SWPFTD sometimes. She says I'm naughty, but I do love her key lime pie! Oh...the beer. Right. Sorry. I've run across quite a few key lime pie beers in my brewery travels and this was a really good one. Mr. Anderson imperial stout is dessert in and of itself. Chocolate and molasses on the tongue. Just a great stout. Add some vanilla bean ice cream and this would be a killer ice cream float too. I ordered some food as well since they have "Eugene's Sausage & Fries" right in the tap room. I went with a bratwurst Reuben. A brat topped with pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and 1000 island dressing. It was really, really good! Why does anyone order a hot dog when bratwursts exist? I highly recommend MSBC. They have a great space, if a little industrial and cold, but the energy made up for it. The beers were great and so was the food.
