This beer was a sleeper hit from a birthday grab bag I received back in February. After sitting in the beer fridge for a couple of months, I finally cracked it open at a recent poker night, and the quality was undeniable. Silent Wings is a Coffee Brown Ale from Honor Brewing out of Sterling, Virginia. As a veteran myself, I have a massive amount of respect for this veteran-owned local outfit. The brew is excellent--smooth and flavorful with a distinct coffee profile. While it was delicious in April, the flavor profile strikes me as a perfect fit for a fall or winter evening. I'll definitely be looking to stock up on this again once the weather cools down. I may never make it out to Sterling but will keep an eye out for the brew! read more

Man, I was glad to leave my last brewery since this place has real food! The food was great, the atmosphere, and the servers! My Old Fashioned was filled less than halfway, which made me a little sour, but everything else was great. My Son Daniel celebrated his Birthday yesterday with a group of 35 friends. The reserved space was excellent and perfect on a rainy day. Our Server" Jenna, was friendly, accommodating and a bonus to work with. The food was excellent. I had a Grilled Chicken Sandwich, with a side of roasted Brussel sprouts. Others had personal size pepperoni Pizza, Mac and Cheese, and appetizer varieties. One suggestion for Manager: Perhaps the other parties that go in the back of the room can have another access so they don't walk through the party in the front space to get to their space. read more

Came here while brewery hopping with my husband and it became one of our faves! Although we had just a few beers, we LOVED the variety and the aesthetic. The menu is extensive -- not only do they have a good variety of beers, they have cocktails and food too! We honestly want to come back to try actual dishes and drinks. We did try a snack from the happy hour menu -- got fried pickles, our usual go-to any place we go. It was very good, HOWEVER, it was disappointingly small and very greasy at the end. But we're giving benefit of the doubt that maybe it's a smaller portion to reflect the happy hour price (but the whole point of happy hour is being able to pay a discount off a FULL item -- so I'll tell ya we'd NEVER order it full price if it came out with those 8 little pieces lol). Despite the pickle we had (no pun intended), we still had a good time and the beers were delicious and crisp (I got blueberry and lychee, hubs got his usual IPAs that he enjoyed). Let's first start by saying I am definitely a fan of this place and I will be back! Honor Brewing is such a cute spot (disclaimer, I spent all of my time outside). It just gives nice, relaxing, kick back spot to me. The parking here is abundant and the service is great! Then the food... Oh it was a HIT! Everything we had, with the exception of the wings, were delicious! The wings had the perfect crunch, however, the seasoning was just lacking. My favorite dishes were the loaded sidewinders, the pizza rolls, the veggie pizza, the brisket cheese dip... essentially most of what was ordered lol. This is such a beautiful space! The bar is huge, there's ample seating, and the outdoor space is incredible. I love that outdoors is dog friendly and they have an outdoor bar. There's usually some live music and everyone is super friendly. The vibe is honoring those who serve, military, police and otherwise - so I love being able to support. Both indoors and outdoors are kept very clean and I'm always surprised at how clean and big the bathroom is. The beer is great. It's consistent and done right. The hazy IPA's are my favorite. Bar tenders have always been super friendly and let you try before you commit to one to ensure you like it. Food is great. The wings are HUGE. I really like the salads, especially at lunch, but the smoked pulled pork is delish! Pizza is always good. They have fun events, which can be a nice way to spend time with friends. The candied jalapeño's are to die for. Atmosphere is phenomenal! Why 3 stars- because 3/4 times I've been here the service has been horrendous. Bar tenders who has zero awareness- I've had to wave them down to get another beer every time- and had to beg them to order food. If the food wasn't incredible I'd have walked out. We tried the Classic Lite, which was crisp, refreshing, and perfect for a warm day--super easy to drink and well-balanced. We also went for the Red Sangria, fruity, smooth, and not overly sweet. A great option if you're looking for something a little different from the usual beer. Tried the veggie pizza and the street corn pizza - Creamy and just the right amount of spice. And don't sleep on the beet and goat cheese salad and the baked mac and cheese - comfort food done right. They also had live music the night we visited. The food here is great and I loved all of the decorations military and law enforcement. There's fun stuff outdoors like cornhole and the service was exceptional. This could have been five stars but there were so many flies I could not finish my meal they kept biting me and that's truly my only complaint. If they could find a way to get rid of flies in there it would've been a perfect time. The chicken schnitzel was cooked perfectly and the guys all loved their burgers and queso brisket dip with chips. Absolutely recommend this brewery. We came here twice in one week. We first came here on Memorial Day as a group of 10 I believe and they had a table big enough to accommodate us all. The beer here is awesome! I say that as someone who's been to a lot of breweries. My girlfriend can be picky about beer and she really loves the Hazy IPA and I loved it too. The lager and the Mexican beer they brew are awesome. The Mexican beer reminds me of Modelo or Corona. There's also wine and liquor if you're not a fan of beer! The food here was also really good overall. We had some pizzas, the sidewinder fries, some bbq, smoked chicken wings and more. The sidewinder fries are one of the best appetizers I've eaten in this area. Highly recommend it. The bbq is smoked in house and the brisket is amazing! My gf is a brisket expert and loved it so you know it's good. The service here was good both times we were here. For the first time we had a group of 10 and they were fairly quick with the service, even with it being Memorial Day. The second time was a Thursday night for trivia and it was still fairly quick even with new people being trained. The ambiance is open and bright. There are tables all around the bar top area. There's also tables outside in the patio as well as out in the grass area. The outside area is great if you have kids. It seems like they're still working on their outdoor bar but it doesn't take away from anything. If you're outside, just know you need to order from the QR code on the table. Walk into a sunny room with floor to ceiling windows so you can see the outdoor bar and grass areas with seating and games. The inside is sleek and if you have a large party you can sit amongst the working brewery. Service was prompt, helpful and attentive. They had a slushie that could be virgin or not but it was broken the day we went. There is a good variety of beer with cocktails and wine too. A mix of adults and families all enjoying time together. The party room was in a separate area where the brewing equipment was. The table we had was actually too short to sit on the stools while eating, but I didn't mind standing since it was a party. I love Honor Brewing. My wife and I were looking for a venue to host a retirement party, but I wasn't going to choose a place without first trying their food and beverages. We came to Honor Brewing for dinner three or four times to try different things on the menu. LOVE the food here. Particularly love the brined chicken sandwich and the street corn pizza. The service is always top notch - very attentive and cheerful. Some breweries drive me nuts with IPA, IPA, IPA, IPA. I love it when I find a good brewery like Honor Brewing that has a good variety of beers on tap, especially those of us who aren't IPA fans. After we were confident in the quality of food and service, we booked my retirement party here. They can take up to about 120 people in the Back of the Brewery (BoB) space. We had about 70 people at our event and there was plenty of space. The beef brisket, pulled pork, and salmon were all excellent (especially the brisket). The servers were especially kind, attentive, and helpful to my guests, particularly some of the elderly who weren't so steady on their feet and needed help with their food plates. The staff were very accommodating and provided us everything and anything we thought we needed for setting up the party. 10/10 would absolutely recommend Honor Brewing either for just going out for dinner or for a party venue. read more

What a great spot! We came here for hubby's birthday. It was more of a restaurant, but outside had a great brewey set up with plenty of seating. The only drawback was how hot it was that day. But we managed and had a great time. A couple of friends joined us and we were able to place separate orders using the QR code at the table, which is super convenient. They had a variety of drinks options, which catered to everyone, from beer, wine, blushes, cocktails etc. The food options were pretty good also. You can't ever go wrong with pizza. Which is what we ordered. My husband loves IPAs so he tried a few and really enjoyed the freedom and sonic boom. I tried a variety of drinks there, which were perfect during that hot weather. The Secret Stache pastry stout while tasty was too much of dessert like beverage to have more than a 4oz pour. I'd like to see a dry stout, porter and maybe a brown ale added to the tap list to balance things out more. Food: I think this is where Honor shines and is better than most breweries in NoVA. Excellent BBQ and pizza. Also recommend trying to smoked wings with dry rub and no sauce. Everything else: Plenty of parking. Vibe inside is sports bar like. Service was good once we got it. Venue: A+ modern, high ceiling, large glass windows, huge space. It is like a restaurant bar, so I would leave the kids at home. It was packed when we visited, and the staff seem a little overwhelmed, but I never found myself waiting long for drinks or anything. Beer: B/B+ I've had several before visiting. I enjoyed the mango IPA and pastry stout. The raspberry lemon wheat was decent. I was hoping to try the cider, but they were out. I think one of the smartest things they did was offer a full bar with liquor and seltzers. A lot of women don't enjoy craft beers, and I know my wife and her friends were happy they had High Noons and margaritas (the strawberry one was a hit at our table). Food: the BBQ is smoky! We had the pretzel bites, fried pickles, pork rinds, honor dog, and pizza and they were all delicious! We were a party of 6 and easily found seats at the large bar. Our only complaint was the staff. They need to be trained to interact with everyone in a group, not just one person. When the bartender would finally show up, he'd only ask one person in our group if they wanted a drink. He'd then go it, bring it back and leave, while the rest of us sat there trying to get his attention to order another drink! This happened all night long! The bartenders also spent all their time at the far end of the bar (the farthest point from the front door), instead of interacting with the customers. Seeing that the brewery honors first responders, we were rather shocked and disheartened to see that they sell THC and CBD infused products. I came here the other night for the first time with a friend who comes regularly and had a nice time. It's a nice place to have a drink and some good food in a great atmosphere. We sat at the bar and we were able to watch some of the Thursday night football game on the numerous TVs surrounding the bar area. We didn't take a brewery tour, but we could see the facility from where we were sitting. It was much too cold to be outside but they do have a nice outside area plus a nice upstairs sitting area. They have plenty of different drinks on their menu from beers to hard seltzer to hard cider to a variety of mixed drinks. I had their boysenberry seltzer which was delicious and highly recommend. I've never had or seen that type of seltzer anywhere else. Prices were reasonable both for food and drink and I look forward to coming back in the future. To the team at Honor Brewery & Owner Allen O. Cage Jr., We have truly enjoyed your brewery and the mission you stand behind. However, I feel compelled to share a disappointing experience that has left us disheartened and, frankly, disillusioned with the values you promote. Your website states that your mission is to make a meaningful impact in the community, to support and give back, and to honor those who serve and sacrifice. Sadly, we did not see that mission reflected in the way a young man--our son--was treated when he was recently hired as a dishwasher for the summer. He was interviewed by a member of your team, hired, and showed up ready to work. After just one shift--approximately five hours--he was told the job was too fast-paced for him. He received no training, no support, and no real chance to succeed. This young man is on the autism spectrum, a fact he openly disclosed during the onboarding process. He is a college student with a 3.9 GPA, he drives, he works hard, and he's kind and eager to contribute. In short, he's exactly the kind of person any business should be proud to employ. But instead of being given an opportunity, he was dismissed without any effort to accommodate or support him. You speak of honoring bravery and selflessness. I hope you can see the bravery it takes for someone like him to step into a new environment and the selflessness he shows in always trying to be of help to others. That courage should have been recognized--not dismissed. Did you discourage him? Yes. But will it keep him down? No. He's had to get back up too many times in his life not to know how. Still, he walked away feeling rejected because of his disability--and that should never happen, especially in a place that claims to champion those who overcome hardship. I hope you will take this to heart and reflect on what it truly means to support and include all people--especially those who have already had to fight so hard just to be seen as equal. Inclusion and respect are not just words to print on a mission statement; they're values that must be lived out in every hire, every interaction, every decision.
