Beers and burgers. Great spot for meeting with large groups because the inside is actually quite large and there is some amount. There's a top area that is usually open, but for a Sunday afternoon was reserved. Almost the whole day for events. The downstairs area has a couple of high tops and a couple of normal tables and window bar seating. Parking can get a little bit tight here, even though the place is pretty big. There's parking across the street in Mosaic District, but I can also get crowded on the weekend especially when there's a farmers market. I ordered the mushroom burger that came with a side so of course I had to get fries. The bird itself is quite good and it was cooked well. My friend ordered the sweet potato fries and to be honest the salt and the crunch on the normal fries were better than the sweet potato fries. I attended their Oyster Festival this past weekend. The grilled and fried oysters were delicious. However, they did not have horseradish for the oysters. Horseradish is a must for oysters. I hope they consider it for the next event. It is a great atmosphere. They have outdoor seating with activities. They also have live music if you like to sing or dance. The establishment is huge. It reminds me of a warehouse or Barndominium. I belive there is an upstairs providing a loft style vibe. The service is more food drop off, not a lot of interaction with the staff. Food was poor to meh, and service was poor also. Of three items we ordered TBLT was the only one decent. Nachos came cold and without the chicken they were ordered with. Chicken wings were ordered extra crispy and arrived undercooked. As for the service, it was exactly the poor quality and entitled attitude you expect when asked to order on an app and pre-tip. First a manager type came out with crossed arms and an angry attitude saying an order we made 'confused the hell out of my barista!' Another server brought out a beer saying it was root beer - which could have been an issue becsuse one of our kids grabbed it for a sip. Then the next server seemed less than happy to fix the nacho issue, and was visibly put out when asked to bring the water we asked for, and asked again to bring cups for our kids to drink it with! Very cute interior. Probably great for cocktails and booze. Cute outdoor patio outside, which is kid and pet friendly. That said, I probably wouldn't come here again and call myself enjoying coffee. I met up with a couple of colleagues and ordered the Biscoff iced latte. It was absolutely terrible. I even had them remake it because the first time it was made, it tasted like nothing. They gladly remade it, and it was a bit sweeter and more flavorful the second time, but it definitely wasn't worth a nine dollar price tag. I also appreciated how kind the staff members were, but we waited more than 15 minutes for coffee when we placed an order through the QR code whereas people who walked in and purchased coffee got their coffee almost instantaneously. I have been to Caboose last year and had a good experience and this year I went back with friends for some after dinner drinks and snacks. Since it was a warm night we decided to sit outside, there was still plenty of space available on a Friday night. I do have to say that the tables were a little dirty. I got the Drunken Barista cocktail and really liked it, it wasn't too sweet which I liked. The menu has something for everyone and the food quality is pretty good for a brewery. I also like the fact that you can simply order from your seat with a QR code and they bring out the food shortly after. I love their bistro lights outside, it really makes for a cozy atmosphere! Caboose is a perfect space for a casual hangout, meeting coworkers after work, and (as we found today): Tuesday trivia! We are local to the area and we love how Caboose always hosts fun events (like a Maker's Market). I have always loved Cabooses' drink selection (including their non-alcoholic cafe selections). Their food is also delish and easily shareable (my favorites are the pretzel and brussel sprouts). The QR code ordering system makes everything super easy and organized (I like how names are associated with orders so the servers have 2 ways to find where an order goes). I've also been to a few work events here and I love how there's multiple levels and areas that can be rented out for events. I like how the space is oriented. Need a quiet place to work on your laptop? There's a long countertop that faces some open windows or small tables to work. Have a larger group? This is a very open and fun cafe/brewery that is great for hanging out at and even dog friendly in the outdoor area! Also great for brunch. Came here to do some remote work for a few hours and I liked the convenience of being able to scan a QR code at my table and order food either to stay and/or to go. So far I've tried their avocado toast and was pleasantly surprised by their gochujang mayo (as a Korean too)! My friends love coming to Caboose Commons to get work done. One of them is a big coffee snob, so he recommended that I tried their cold brew because it's his favorite in the area. I stopped by with them a couple days ago and was surprised that a tap room could be this cozy and warm. There's a lot of space on the second floor that's more like a cafe/study area. A lot of people here were getting work done while sipping on a beverage or munching on a side of fries. The ordering system is pretty easy -- scan the QR code on each table, place an order, and someone will bring it up when it's ready. Since my friend was adamant about the cold brew, I got the cold brew with light ice. The cold brew here is strong (like really, really strong) with a good chocolate flavor but also pretty tart/citrusy. I would not recommend light ice. Definitely get the regular ice and let the ice dilute a bit. Overall, pretty solid. I was shocked at the strength of the cold brew here. Good space to get work done. It's a bit far from me, but if I'm in the area, I know Caboose Commons is a reliable location. They get their beans from Lone Oak Coffee Company out in Winchester. I'll have to try their other coffee drinks and grab a bag of beans in the future. Oh, I'm sure their alcoholic drinks and food here would be pretty solid, too! read more

The chicken tenders were everything I expected and more (they come with Heinz ketchup) -- crispy and flavorful. But the SIDE SALAD. It was perfection. I don't know what was in the dressing but it tasted almost yogurt-y and it was so refreshing and light. The latte was creamy and had a light natural sweetness even though I didn't get it with any sweetener. The interior is super spacious and very industrial feeling and would be the perfect place to get some work done. A friend recommended Caboose so we came to check it out. We ordered some food and drinks. We missed brunch by a few minutes, but no big deal. When we came in, the dining area was still decorated for Christmas in some areas. Seems fine as Christmas was just 2 days ago. We placed our orders through the QR code on the table. The food and drinks came out super quick. The fries and pickles were delicious - I didn't eat the pickles, but my daughter said they were delicious. The Buffalo chicken wrap was good and a bit hotter than I thought it would be. I thought there would be a side of ranch to dip it with, but I must have read the menu wrong when I chose ranch instead of blue cheese. No worries, I still ate it. My daughter got the chicken parm sandwich, but she said she didn't like it and it made her stomach upset. She said it wasn't flavorful and the sauce could have been more to bring out the flavor, but it was barely on there. Some may have eaten a quarter of the sandwich and most of the fries and pickles. If you know the food at Caboose Tavern in Vienna, know that the food here is not the same. It's good but not as good. The pretzels are not the same a don't come with cheese sauce. Chicken tenders are good but do not have the same in house quality as the other location. Otherwise, it's a good spot with lots of space and a nice outdoor area for warm days. Their Wi-Fi is super fast, their are outlets at almost every table, and the industrial beer warehouse aesthetic makes a Killer Zoom background. There is something about the quiet buzz of the place that makes me super productive. In fact, I am currently writing this review from Caboose right now. It is a fabulous meeting spot - - if you are meeting with a large group of people there is plenty of room to spread out and the QR code ordering and splitting tabs really easy. They truly have something for everyone: beer, wine, cocktails, vegan, gluten-free, burgers, and barbeque. I have tried almost everything on the menu and it is ALL fabulous (even the poke bowl which honestly is questionable to eat at a brewery but they kill it every single time). Their croissants and muffins are also phenomenal. They also: - Support local charities (their Pride month drink is great and proceeds go to a LGBTQ+ organization) - Are woman-owned - Pay a living wage: I've literally seen some of their workers grow up over the years, which means they must be doing something right. - Are woman-owned - Do fun community oriented events like maker's markets, drag bingo, and more I am truly, truly a fan and thankful to have a place like this in my neighborhood. Came here to do some work before my dog's vet appointment nearby. Their patio (and only their patio) is dog friendly -- they even leave out water bowls which is really sweet. The ordering process was a little confusing. I tried going inside to order but it seemed like they only really take orders from the QR code. I didn't like that we had to make a new account for the ordering website. I did like that the inside was super spacious -- it looked like it could've been a warehouse or a factory in the past. It has an upstairs and a downstairs, but I didn't have enough time to explore the upper floor. However, the food really made up for the process. We got the chicken tenders and fries. The fries were typical bar fries and were a little less than salted and on the softer side, but the chicken tenders... WOW! They tasted like their were truly homemade with Panko breadcrumbs and were pretty juicy on the inside (all white meat chicken breasts were used too!!) We paired the tenders and fries with some good ole ranch and ketchup. It was a filling lunch shared between my partner and me. The patio provided a nice ambiance with others sitting down to enjoy lunch and do work under the umbrellas on a nice sunny day. Parking was pretty packed but there is ample space. It's also near mosaic District if you wanna do some shopping over there too. If I go next time, I would try the affogato that I was eyeing on when I went. Met up with my colleague to do some work together, and I was so excited to check it out. I have been hearing about this spot for YEARS from some of my best buds, so it's nice to make the trek out to Fairfax that I wouldn't normally make. Fairfax is kind of far from my way, and when the traffic hits, WHEW. So, parking was easy and I saw plenty of festive outdoor seating. It was a little hot for that, but the benches were plentiful and I saw a giant chess set for folks to play at. If I was a better chess player, I know I'd be all over it. The inside was just as spacious as the outside area! There were multiple floors, a counter with some yummy looking pastries on display, and plenty of tables to sit at. I found myself just looking around as I entered, and staff asked me if I needed any help. I learned that it's self-seating, and each table had a QR code to scan. PERFECTION! The Wi-Fi was easy to connect to with signs being posted in multiple places, water was available to grab, and there were outlets everywhere. I was starving, so I grabbed a Pink Dragon and an ahi tuna poke bowl. The drink had passion fruit puree, condensed milk, and some other flavors going on. It was quite the outstanding combination of flavors, but it was so refreshing! The poke bowl was wonderful as well -- $20 is one of the more expensive poke bowls I've purchased, but really, it was good. Caboose is so many things in one -- a cafe, a brewery, a summer hangout spot... This is definitely NoVA's version of Zinnia. Whenever I'm in the area I would love to return. We did have to change seats a few times but eventually we found seating with shade/rain shelter to get us through our meal. The order process was very simple with QR codes so we actually never went inside. I don't even know what the inside is like. There's plenty of outdoor seating. Ordered a cider and an avocado toast. I think one of the things I dislike about the menu is that it doesn't have pictures and you don't have a server to ask. So I was surprised by the avocado toast having a sunny side egg.
