Been there twice. Got an Avocado toast and a vanilla latte. Both great. Service was quick. I love the ambiance. Nice and cozy. We enjoyed board games with my son.

Definitely a cozy cafe nestled in an area with plenty of parking (the garage) and good food (ate everything every time). Nice and casual interior decoration plus a fair amount of seating for small and large groups. Service was great - definitely will keep this place in mind if I am nearby.

Cozy District Cafe is a nice find -- a quiet, comfortable, hidden little casual cafe with good drinks, surprisingly high-quality food at value prices, and free parking, right next to a beltway exit. It's a good place to connect with somebody who may be traveling on the beltway to meet, because it's just easier than Tysons or Mosaic.

Was at Doctors office . This was inside the building . Ordered coffee must say it was horrible .Bitter taste . Muffin was good . Sandwich we got Cozy breakfast sandwich. Was ok not bad . Tables are wobbly.

Convenient cute little breakfast and lunch spot while stopping by to get bloodwork at Labcorp. Nice staff and cute decor. Prices are sort of high, but I guess expected for area. Got a bagel with sausage egg and cheese and it was fulfilling. Vanilla latte was good but a little too sweet. They also have smoothies.

Really like this place! Probably the best place I found for working or studying. The play list really pops off. When I was there, a ton of medical students were in there doing multiple choice questions. They have cute furniture like couches and desks to eat or work at. The salad I had was also very fresh with a good dressing.

Come for the cute aesthetic interior, and stay for the delicious food and drinks (or is it the other way around?!) I visited this cafe recently, and I can confirm that the beautifully adorned interior lives up to the hype that I've seen on social media. The cafe is surrounded by lots of plants (probably artificial, but hey, that's ok!), cozy rugs, and plush furniture. I ordered a venti mocha, a glacé (ice cream served with espresso, kind of like an affogato!), and a smoked salmon sandwich served on a croissant. Overall, the sandwich and the drinks were tasty, and the service here was top notch. I came on a Saturday and it was a little quiet, but this would be a great spot to sit and study for a bit. Don't be deterred by the fact that this location is basically in a medical office building. There is a large parking garage nearby, so parking was a breeze.

The ambiance of this cafe is amazing. The location is hard to find I almost left because it looked like only a hospital. But believe me the inside is gorgeous definitely lives up the the cozy name. The staff was very kind. We got an iced latte, iced coffee, breakfast burrito, and the breakfast sandwich. The iced coffee was sub par however when we asked to add milk to it the staff noticed we didn't like it and remade without question into a delicious iced coffee. The caramel iced latte was phenomenal would recommend getting that. The breakfast sandwich was good but so thin so for $8 it was a little light. The burrito was very good and well worth it so I'd go that direction if coming here. Will say the croissant was so crispy and flaky so definitely enjoyed that. Great spot to hang out with friends they even have board games and some comfy seating.

A very interesting surprise near Merrifield. Tucked away in the 8503 Building lies a cafe full of décor that you could say looks very botanical and very calm. Even the music selection here is on point too... very interesting to hear a place that plays Ichiko Aoba and even Laufey ( some one my favorite artists ) but that's not the point. The overall aesthetics; I absolutely adore and I think it's very instagrammable! I came here on a snowy afternoon looking for some coffee and something to eat. I got the Matcha Latte and a Bibimbap bowl. While I was hoping it'd be served in a thick porcelain or a ceramic cup, it's fine if it's in a to go cup. Probably better since they don't have to worry about washing it. The matcha latte, very smooth and not too bitter. You get a hint of that earthy flavour but it's countered with a hint of sweetness to it. Not too bad but I wish it was a bit hotter ( it's cold outside when I went ). I think the coffee is still worth getting! The Bibambap consisted of Bean sprouts, Spinach, Radish, Lettuce, Fried Egg, Gochujang Sauce, Jasmine Rice, and Beef ( it's optional ). It wasn't too packed but it did not make me full either. Enough to keep you from starving and that's fine; I don't want to feel bloated at a café. Plenty of seating here, and they even have board games if you just want to hang out with friends here for a bit. I think this may be a hard place to find and I think they should have a sign to let people know where this place is! Check it out!

Pretty typical cafe fare for breakfast but tasty and in a unique space - the decor is very homey with cottage core vibes. The breakfast bagel wasn't anything fancy, but it was good and reasonably priced. Pretty quiet spot for a Saturday morning too and there's plenty of seating.

Going to a cat cafe…read morehas been on my bucket list for quite some time, probably since I moved to Philadelphia back in 2022/2023. I didn't knkw that this was a thing until I had gotten there. After living in Philly and trekking my way down to Virginia, I learned about Crumbs and Whiskers in DC and Mount Purrnon (play on words for Mount Vernon) and man this did not disappoint. It is a well run operation. It has been awhile since I have been there so I am going off of my memory from 2023/2024, but you had to take this stairs down to a lower level basement area where you were let in by appointment time. The place was pretty packed. There were cats all around climbing the walls, sitting in people's laps relaxing, hanging out in this little plastic basins. I felt so fortunate that I was able to participate in this or even discovered it. The directions were pretty straight forward. You have to be mindful of your belongings though and move your shoes in a cubby hole. Some cats are friendlier than others. They all had cute namesI even got to chat with some folks. I went by myself as I have no shame and don't wait around for others or need other people in my life to do fun things that make me happy. I like solo dates lol but it was nice getting to see how much joy cats and kittens bring to people of all ages from all walks of life. I felt honored when some cats slowly made their way towards me. One even proceeded to sit in my lap in the clear basin bowl and curled up into a little ball and fell asleep on me lol The neat part or perk is that staff will come around and take pix of you on a polaroid instant camera to capture the memory for you. I still to this day have my polaroid back of the little grey kitten and me. If I was ever in DC again, I would definitely go back. It was an entirely different experience and a bit more crowded as it's popular, than Mount Purrnon in Alexandria, VA but it was so cutely decorated with the black/pink aesthetic. I even went home woth a souvenir mug:)

There are two kiosks where you order. I got the french toast matcha latte which was ready quickly. The matcha wasn't the best quality or wasn't prepared properly, imo. It tasted very soapy and the french toast flavor wasn't very noticeable. I've definitely had much better matcha in Baltimore and wouldn't recommend Llamas' if you're particular about your matcha. Maybe their coffee is better? I also noticed a section on the menu labeled "gluten free" but the only option listed was a bag of chips. Would be nice to see some other offerings for GF folks.

The positives first: the restaurant is attractive inside, the staff was genuinely friendly, and the food itself was good. My chicken fajita omelet was flavorful, although it contained surprisingly little chicken. Everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their meals. Unfortunately, the pricing and constant add-on charges really overshadowed the experience. At $15 for an omelet, the prices are already toward the high end for breakfast. Then there are extra charges for things that feel like they should be included. Real maple syrup is an additional $1.50, and coffee was an eye-popping $4 per cup. Looking at our receipt afterward, it really felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed. The biggest surprise was the 3% credit card surcharge. In 2026, charging customers extra for paying with a credit card feels outdated. Very few people carry enough cash to cover a $100 breakfast meeting, so it comes across as another hidden fee rather than a genuine choice. One other odd thing I noticed was the floor. Whenever someone heavier walked through the dining room, the entire floor visibly bounced. It wasn't unsafe as far as I could tell, but it was noticeable enough to the table to be distracting throughout the meal. I wanted to like this place because the atmosphere, service, and food were all solid. But between the high menu prices, the extra charges, and the credit card fee, I left feeling like the value just wasn't there. Unless the pricing structure changes, I don't expect to return.
