Today, we played Russian roulette with family Sunday lunch time. That's how we came upon this little family dinner. Our entire experience was great, nothing to truly complain about. The dinning area has a real hometown feel with conversation billowing from each table about individuals being regulars and discussing the last time they were here. The staff are primarily made up of teenagers who were all friendly and helpful. For food, we partook in a few things from the menu: - Chicken tenders (5) with fries - The American burger with fries - Western omelette with home fries - Avocado toast with home fries - Protein smoothie - French toast latte - Beignets (6 small) with all three sauces All the food was delicious and prepared just right. After reading the reviews, we decided to make a reservation. However, the hostess seemed frazzled and overwhelmed by something that did not pertain to us and the reservation appeared to not matter. The restaurant prefers you pay by cash or debit. If not, they attach a 3% processing fee. The only criticism I have is that the restaurant charges extra for anything not directly associated with your meal. For example, $3.50 for salsa, .50 per extra beignets sauce, .50 for bbq sauce, and $1.50 for fries with a burger. This is a small thing but can add up quick. We stopped by Chloez Cafe for a working breakfast with several colleagues. Overall, I left with mixed feelings. $100 for four adults was..excessive. The positives first: the restaurant is attractive inside, the staff was genuinely friendly, and the food itself was good. My chicken fajita omelet was flavorful, although it contained surprisingly little chicken. Everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their meals. Unfortunately, the pricing and constant add-on charges really overshadowed the experience. At $15 for an omelet, the prices are already toward the high end for breakfast. Then there are extra charges for things that feel like they should be included. Real maple syrup is an additional $1.50, and coffee was an eye-popping $4 per cup. Looking at our receipt afterward, it really felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed. The biggest surprise was the 3% credit card surcharge. In 2026, charging customers extra for paying with a credit card feels outdated. Very few people carry enough cash to cover a $100 breakfast meeting, so it comes across as another hidden fee rather than a genuine choice. One other odd thing I noticed was the floor. Whenever someone heavier walked through the dining room, the entire floor visibly bounced. It wasn't unsafe as far as I could tell, but it was noticeable enough to the table to be distracting throughout the meal. I wanted to like this place because the atmosphere, service, and food were all solid. Wow!! What an experience! Very impressed by our brunch meal at Chloez. This up beat local café is an affordable and delicious brunch or lunch spot any day of the week. We ordered the breakfast burrito, pancake combo, and waffle combo. The breakfast burrito was hot and well assembled. The eggs were fluffy, it was full of cheese, and I was able to substitute sausage for bacon. The home fries that came with it were soft, well seasoned, and DELICIOUS!! I was blown away by these. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The Belgian waffle was also good. The combos came with a small side of fresh and delicious fruit. We had an amazing server named Darlene. She was super friendly and funny, and very attentive to our needs. Highly recommend asking for Darlene when you come! The ambiance is super cool. It's like a farmhouse with a little groove!! Stopped in at Chloez Cafe for a late breakfast on a Wednesday morning - arrived around 11:00 am. I was promptly seated at a table. After looking over the menu - I ordered a Western Omelette with some tweaks: Substituted Chorizo for the bacon and ham, added mushrooms and spinach, also ordered a side of bacon, and a cold brew. I did not see cold brew on the menu - I asked and my waiter stated that they had cold brew. I note that they have iced coffee on the menu - I hope that is not what he ended up giving me. Harder to tell once Half n' Half has been added. As others have noted - there is a beach vibe going on with regards to the color of the place - a big emphasis on a teal/aqua like color. Food came up in about 10 minutes. Presentation-wise - everything looked appetizing. I tasted the omelette - and then I added some black pepper and hot sauce to the omelette as I always do. The omelette was tasty; the breakfast potatoes were hot and the texture was on point; and the bacon was very good. The "cold brew" seemed a bit on the weak side to me - so not sure if it was iced coffee... I was not paying attention to the pricing - when I got my bill - it was $40 dollars for an omelette, side of bacon and cold brew. Seems a bit steep to me. This spot is cute and reminds me a lot of the breakfast restaurants you visit when you're at the beach. It is a good breakfast spot option if you're in the area. However, there are a couple things to keep in mind. First, there is always a long wait especially for breakfast given that it is a popular spot. I would advise that if on a time crunch, this is not the spot. On top of the long wait for a table, there is also a wait after your food is ordered. On this one particular visit, my party of 4 arrived around 12 noon and weren't seated until 12:20pm. There was then an additional wait for our food and it wasn't until 1pm that all of us received our food (all of us ordered the breakfast combos). We patiently waited for our food but noticed that there seems to be a lot of waiters/waitresses standing around, but they were all waiting on the kitchen. In addition, some of the pricing on the menu is relatively high. For a side of 3 breakfast sausages, it costs $6. There is also a credit card surcharge of 3% to keep in mind. read more

The beignets tasted fabulous though they were slightly overdone. Neither here nor there. For my entree, I had the daily special, which was an egg and chorizo bowl. The bowl came with black beans and avocado, and everything sat on a bed of home fries. The taste was great, but my only complaint is the bowl was mostly potatoes. The benches we sat on were super hard and the cushions completely deflated, so that was the biggest downside as it was pretty uncomfortable. I stopped in this morning with my daughters who were visiting from out of town. Ordered the avocado toast with the poached egg. It didn't look appetizing but I tasted and it wasn't good. As I approached the counter area all eyes, behind the counter, were looking at me. I asked myself, what's going on. I sat down and started looking at the menu. A nice waiter immediately approached and took my order. As I observed, there were too many school age kids behind the counter with nothing to do; so, they were not only watching me as I approached, they were bored and steering at all the guests. Now, the food was good, but, I sat at the counter and had to observe over and over again one of my pet peeves. I saw these bored kids unwrap folded napkins and prepared them to wrap silverware. This is the part that bothered me: one girl patted the pile of prepared napkins each time she walked by; another girl played with her ponytail, picked a nail and her face nose area, and continued to prepare the napkins; at one point, a guy joined them. They did all of this without gloves. I am a stickler for good hygiene and maintaining cleanliness throughout the food handling process. It is a lovely casual dining experience to come to Chloez Cafe. We enjoyed Eggs Benedict and Beignets for Brunch. The water poured from the pretty blue carafe was fresh & delicious to drink. The Eggs Benedict had Canadian Bacon, which is not found in many restaurants these days. Our potatoes were a bit overcooked. The Beignets were deliciously warm with 3 dipping sauces. Our Server was gracious even though the spacious dining room was very busy at about 1:00 to 2:00 pm. I noted how the restaurant is named for the Owner's daughter and that they were established in 2019. The local community certainly makes this venue very popular. TL;DR: If the taste of the food was as jarring as the vibe, then at least the food would taste like something. I did find the chairs comfy, though. My mom wanted to eat here. I told her I didn't want to come, but hey. Sometimes you do shit you hate for people you love. There was nothing on the menu that appeared remotely appetizing. I remarked it was... The whitest of menus. And ooof, they couldn't even make a grilled chicken sandwich that didn't have the texture of mashed potatoes in bread. How could a grilled chicken sandwich just be mush? There's at minimum chicken! The menu claimed it came with avocado, but instead it was about one teaspoon of guacamole. These are not interchange items. If it's guac, call it guac. I did try some on its own. It only had a mild flavor of lemon. The lettuce was about a teaspoon of shredded lettuce. Onion was two small bits. There were maybe three rings of pickled banana pepper. This sandwich made a Wendy's burger look like a salad. The ONLY flavor came from the banana peppers. For real. That was it. Everything was so incredibly bland I wasn't sure I even ate anything. Also? The thinnest, smallest pickle spear I've ever seen in my life had taste. It came from a jar, but good for them, buying a decent jar of pickles. Chips were well made and crisp, but had zero taste. No seasoning, just nothing. Not even salt. I tried adding them to the mush sandwich for texture, but it still had zero taste so what was the point? The other day I saw a news parody about a white woman being rushed to the hospital after eating seasoned food, and I can only assume that fictional woman, Becky Blanderson, would love this place. The vibe was like someone desperately trying to pretend they are still on vacation. It was incredibly loud, and the super elongated menus are ridiculous. I would absolutely not recommend this to anyone I know, but if you like to eat food that sucks the joy and flavor out of life, this is for you! Personally I stopped and picked up a different lunch on my way home. Just crappy drive through. A million times better. (I never do reviews but today I had too) Just finished eating here, and unfortunately the service was terrible. When we arrived, we waited a while to be seated. I could understand that if the restaurant had been busy, but it wasn't. Employees were standing around talking to each other and no one acknowledged us. Once we were finally seated, our server rarely checked on us and never offered drink refills. Whenever we needed something, I had to get up and ask because attempts to wave someone over went unnoticed. When the bill arrived, I discovered that a 20% gratuity had already been added. As someone who has worked as a server, I don't usually have a problem with automatic gratuities, but it's frustrating to be charged one after receiving such poor service. especially when the restaurant wasn't busy. The food was just okay and overpriced for the quality. The burgers were the only item our group really enjoyed; everything else was underwhelming. This is a super cute cafe and I love that it's a local business. I came for breakfast and really liked that the menu had very affordable options with all the usual things you would want for a brunch/breakfast. I ordered the breakfast combo that had waffles, eggs, fruit, and potatoes, cause I always love an option that has sweet and savory foods included (sometimes you just can't decide which one you want). I ordered a breakfast burrito, which was well prepared, but hardly had any bacon. It was mostly just tortilla and cheese. I would have liked some veggies and more bacon for it to be a true breakfast burrito. My daughter's Reuben was pretty greasy and fell apart. She ended up eating the other half of my burrito. My youngest seemed to really enjoy the ham and cheese omelet. I just wish this place had a kids menu. It took an hour to get our food with no updates on when our food was coming out. We watched two of our items sit in the window for ten minutes waiting for the last item to be made. However, my review is about the "famous" beignets. Don't bother - five small pieces of over-priced, overcooked, chewy dough, with a sprinkling of powdered sugar. Maybe I am prejudice because I compared them with "Cafe Du Monde" in New Orleans' French Quarter and "Coffee Call" in Baton Rouge. They should be ashamed to even call this concoction a "beignet". You would be better served buying a box of beignet-mix and have your nine-year old child to bake them in an "Easy Bake Oven".
