Create Your Own Crepe w/ 2 fried eggs, spinach, Gruyère cheese, extra tomatoes, extra goat cheese and creama.
    Tanya B.

Picked up the Clifton Cafe for breakfast one morning when I wanted a breakfast burrito, and found a more unique option instead with savory crepes. I got the build your own savory crepe option with two fried eggs, Gruyère cheese, extra goat cheese, spinach, extra tomatoes, and dill creama to put on top. The crepe instead of a tortilla option was definitely unique, but tasted light and went well with the ingredients I had chosen, not overpowering it at all but being the nice burrito casing it should be. The veggies were all fresh and the tomatoes were red and they actually gave me extra which was nice...most places won't add extra when you ask for it. The eggs were cooked well, though I wish they had another way of cooking them as an option for the build your own crepe, as they have scrambled eggs available for one other savory crepe. The service was great as they also added extra goat cheese inside my crepe as well as adding the two sides I paid extra for. Most places won't look at the notes and so I ordered two sides just in case, but I didn't end up needing them. They were quite generous with their extras. The creama dill sauce topped off the crepe quite well, and was a tangy, creamy addition to the meal. Their sauces had pretty decent portions, so even those like me who love their extra sauce will find one enough. You are definitely getting value for your money as the crepe was as long as my fork and super wide. IT WAS HUGE! I had to save half for later, so it was like getting two meals in one. TLDR: I highly recommend going to Clifton Cafe for your brunch needs! The food is fresh, delicious and has enormous portions, which will have you taking home a to go bag. Their take on food is unique and a refreshing change for breakfast, or brunch. I will be coming back to try more dishes!

The Clifton Cafe is located on the lovely Main Street area in Clifton. The cafe itself resides in an old home that gives it a comfortable vibe. The wait staff were friendly. I didn't order any coffee products but others at my table did and they raved about their lattes. I ordered a breakfast bowl which came in a cute skillet and really hit the spot.

My friend grew up in Centreville and suggested this place for a Saturday brunch. I'm happy I had a reservation, but it seemed like people were being seated fast. Our waiter wasn't around always but we weren't to the point of looking for him. He was nice and gave us time to think about our orders. My crepe was delicious! And my friend really enjoyed the avocado toast as well. I'll definitely come back!!

We really want to love this place,but... We have been here many times and unfortunately, the service seems to get worse each time. Things like, servers who purposely ignore you, incorrect orders multiple times per meal, drinks and food which come out cold, main courses being served at different times to the table, table parties who arrived after you being served first, etc. Also, the quality of the food has gone from good to mediocre. :-(

We've been wanting to try the crepes at Clifton Cafe, so when family came in from out of town, we all decided to go. The cafe didn't disappoint. The cafe itself is located in a historic house on Main Street in Clifton, and it has a lot of character. The staff was very friendly and gave us good service. And all of the crepes were delicious and served in generous portions. I tried the Chorizo and Hash and loved it. My wife tried Evan's Exotic Equation, with chicken, feta and spinach. And my sister tried a sweet one, Alli's Berries and Blintz, with berries, blintz cheese, and cinnamon. All of us enjoyed. This was our first visit to Clifton Cafe, but won't be our last.

I can't believed I've missed out all this time on the Clifton Cafe. After coming across them on Yelp - and seeing their online menu - I knew I needed to visit ASAP! Stopped in for breakfast on a Monday morning. The business is located in a quaint small building - that obviously used to be a house - at some point in the distant past - based on the interior layout. Very quaint, homey ambiance. I was promptly seated and looked over the menu. I ordered the Chorizo & Hash Crepe: Chorizo, potato & onion hash, cheddar, topped w/ jalapeño sauce. I had them add an egg (over easy) to top off the crepe - and a side of bacon and coffee. I visited the coffee bar after eating to order an iced Americano with half n' half. I can't say I've ever had a crepe of any kind before. It's kind of like eating a more delicate burrito. The Chorizo & Hash stuffing was delish! The egg yolk breaking over the crepe was yummy. The bacon was savory and outstanding. Coffee was strong and good. There are a number of other menu items that sound amazing - which means I will need to return to sample them. Service was very good. Paid with Apple Pay. #CliftonCafe

Place has been renovated with more space and seating. They have a beautiful back yard and parking in the back, as well as extended indoor seating and more outdoor seats in the front. The drinks can take a bit of time it seems especially on the weekend when it's busier. The drinks we ordered came out just about when we finished our food .. but no worries .. I got it to-go. I really enjoyed the back yard view the most ... also their blueberry pancakes were amazing and our waitress was very sweet

I normally don't update reviews, but I felt it was necessary since I no longer feel that Clifton Cafe is anywhere near 4 stars (unfortunately). Let me start with the positives. They have expanded their space and they're accepting Resy reservations, which I'm sure helps with controlling the crazy influx of breakfast/ brunch goers, especially on weekends. And for the most part, their young staff is friendly and helpful. However, last time I visited and sat at the bar, you could hear some passive aggressiveness going on behind the bar. That was unprofessional and it made me very uncomfortable. I usually just get a latte and a blintz crepe. Their lattes are pretty good, but lately they've been lukewarm by the time they actually make it to the table. And unfortunately, on several visits now, their crepes have been hard and not soft and delicate as back in the day. Also, pay attention to your check. Notice in my picture how the amount changes in the tip guide from before running your card to after. May not be a big deal to some, but definitely off-putting.

Was lucky to get a spot on mother's day! Always love the staff and food here. It's always busy but the service and food never disappoint! Definitely come here for weekend brunch vibes.

Beautifully decorated Cafe. They have some outdoor space and also dining area that is very calm and great for brunch. The coffee here is really good and the staff is always very friendly. I try to stop here on my way to the hike. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Great new breakfast spot in the heart of old town Clifton. A client recommended this place to me and I can't wait to go back. They have a rather extensive coffee menu with a lot of tasty options along with a nice sized menu. Very friendly atmosphere and good kids menu. My son and I enjoyed a Nutella crepe and breakfast sandwich!

I was visiting my family during Christmas week. This was my first time eating here. The cafe is located on the second floor. You walk up a ramp on the right hand side of the building up to the second floor. We arrived at 12 noon for lunch with my family of five. The place was packed. No tables were available. Luckily five bar stools became available at the bar, which we seized upon immediately. At the bar I started with and enjoyed my White Christmas cocktail with vodka, kahlua, half and half, gingerbread syrup and a ginger cookie for $14. I also enjoyed my cafe Cuban sandwich with pulled mojo pork, ham, Swiss, pickles, coleslaw and mustard on ciabatta for $14. My total bill for the 5 of us was $107 excluding my cash gratuity. Kat and Dominic M. served us very well at the bar. We agreed we will return here for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We ordered the Poulet Gruyere ($12.10) without the cracked pepper...and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. They cut it it in half, exactly as I requested. This crepe was generously packed with chicken/mushroom/peppers/cheese consisting of intense flavors. While I appreciate the generous amount of filling in the crepe, the ratio of crepe to filling was a little off. The filling probably would have been easier to eat in a wrap form. Nonetheless, it was still very flavorful and I highly recommend it. They have an extensive menu including sweet/savory crepes, all-day breakfast, waffles, various beverages. There is definitely something for everyone. The cafe has plenty of seating (inside & outside), but I would assume it may be a little crowded if/when they get busy. The employees were very friendly and accommodating in that they gave us an extra cup with ice and split and plated the crepe. I thought it was cool they sell the crepe mix separately. There are plenty of outlets for anyone who needs to charge their devices. One thing to note, the cafe is located in a very tight and potentially busy strip mall. While there is enough parking, it can be limited in the evening (from past experience. Would I return? Possibly, if I'm in the area.

I ordered a vegetarian crepe, and my friend got an Oreo crepe. Both were decent, but honestly pretty underwhelming. The flavors were fine, just not memorable, and definitely not something I'd go out of my way to get again. I also tried a vanilla chai latte, which was the same story--good, but nothing special. The biggest downside for me was the value. I ended up spending around $17, and it just didn't feel worth it. Between the portion size and the overall taste, it felt like something I could've easily made at home for a fraction of the price. Service was okay. The woman working there had a more straightforward, no-frills personality--not particularly warm or welcoming, but not rude either. Just very to-the-point. The space itself is also pretty small, with limited seating. It's probably best suited for quick stops or takeout rather than sitting and hanging out for a while. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but it didn't give me a strong reason to come back. If you're nearby and curious, it might be worth trying once--but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

All of the hip young girls in high school recommended this place to me and my friends and lets just say, they have never been more wrong. My girls and I went this weekend for a birthday brunch. I wanted a crepe, but when I saw it was 17 DOLLARS to slap some Nutella and strawberries on a piece of crepe is outrageous. I ordered a "Continental Breakfast," which, with tax and tip, cost me $30 DOLLARS. I wish you could have seen the look on my face when they gave me a plate of rabbit food. All 6 of us looked at the plate and laughed. Seriously, my 5 year old neice can eat 3 times as much of that in one sitting. So, in what world would that be enough food for a grown woman? My friend then went on to order the French toast for a grand total of $36 DOLLARS. Mind you, there was only one piece of toast, and the Inside was raw and soggy. Tasted like eating wet, soaked toilet paper. On top of the overpriced food and small portions, our "server" came to our table for a total of ONE SINGULAR TIME. My friend had also ordered a Chai Latte. Surprise, Surprise! It never came, and they still charged her for it. I think the nice man who brought us our food could see the look on our faces when we received our food, because he then brought us a free side of French fries. It is a huge problem when the french fries were the only sufficient thing I put in my mouth at this restaurant. I please, genuinely beg all of you to NOT waste your money. I promise there is anywhere else where you can get a crepe for double the size and half the cost. Once we left, we went down to Call Your Mother, the Jewish Deli, to get more food, as all of us left with our tummies still rumbling. Mind you, a full bagel sandwich and coffee cost HALF THE PRICE of one meal at Fontaine. Horrible. Mind you, it is 2 days later, and I am still thinking about this. I fully created a Yelp account just so I could leave a review. I think I would have a better experience eating an IHOP Continental breakfast than whatever I put in my mouth at this restaurant. Not worth the hype at all. Save your hard-earned cash and be a big baller elsewhere!
