I got an odd vibe visiting this shop with bubblegum pop playing and a clientele of active duty military service members. The options were many, and while I passed on the vegan breakfast burrito, there weren't a lot of other places to get one of those around here. I did get a freshly heated waffle with pearl sugar and an abundance of fruit. The oat milk in my chai was a generic one, and the chai strong but a bit syrup-y. Having said that, I've spent many years driving through Southern Maryland, and if we've progressed to the point where I'm concerned about the brand of vegetarian/vegan products available, progress has been made. My wife and I stumbled across Wee Bean Coffee Roasters while driving by and decided to hit quick U-turn to check it out, and I'm glad we did. The seasonal offerings caught our attention, and we ended up picking up a small bag of whole bean coffee that turned out to be absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful, answering our questions and walked us through the options. That said, it was a bit off-putting to hear loud, personal conversations among the staff, including gossip about other people. It didn't ruin the experience, but it was definitely a little awkward. One other note: while the small bag of whole bean coffee was good, the larger bags felt hugely overpriced (at least in my opinion) so we opted to stick with the smaller one. I usually buy a 5lb bag on Amazon and was hoping to buy one here but...yikes. Either way it was a very good visit and the coffee itself was delicious. We'll definitely be keeping an eye on their seasonal releases and plan to stop by again to sample more. read more

I stopped by for a wee bit to checkout Wee Bean Coffee and was very impressed. The customer service was excellent. They asked clarifying questions regarding the size of my drink, whether I wanted whipped cream in my iced mocha with almond milk, and whether I wanted a bag when they handed me a couple of items. Many places just move past these niceties but not their employees. They even confirmed the spelling of my name to ensure they got it right. Nice touches! The ham and Swiss sandwich was excellent. The Dijon mustard on it added the perfect compliment to the ciabatta topped meal. I also tried the Belgian waffle, and it was the perfect 'slightly but not too sweet' flavor that I enjoy. It was very soft too, making it a treat to eat for sure! The environment was also cozy, with inside and outside seating available. My only slight complaint was the iced coffee needed a bit more ice because it wasn't quite chilled enough. But that minor complaint wasn't enough to bring down the perfect rating. This is a good alternative for those looking for a place other than the big chain coffeehouse. Well done! read more

It's a coffee date with my sissy! Yes! Need a place to meet in Southern MD and Wee Bean is it! On a Saturday morning, this place was popping! It was super lively from the music to the staff. There is a plethora of selection with a differing variety of drinks to a seasonal menu. Since it was my first time, the associate gave me a dope break down of how it works even though there was a line. The place is highly customizable related to how you like your drinks, which I dig. They have lots of food/pastries and appear to support local vendors. I got a cookie latte (very customized) and a quiche! Everything was perfect! There is plenty of seating and the staff was amazing. This coffee shop has been a favorite of mine for years. The drinks are so unique and the flavorings never overpower the taste of the coffee. For instance, the Spring menu consists of strawberry shortcake and white macadamia mocha coffee pairings iced or hot, amongst other things. These are some of my favorites. The specialty menu changes often (at least seasonally) however. There's definitely a difference between a coffee roaster and a trendy coffee shop; their coffee offers the best of both worlds. They also offer pastries and cereal options; some merch too. The inside is small but clean and there is expanded seating in the back of the shop. As far as customer service goes, the staff is always nice and welcoming. It's like no one on staff even shows signs of irritation or frustration or anything..even tho they're busy quite often-they handle the crowds well and with a smile. It's a neighborhood spot for sure. People gather here daily for their coffee fix-the staff knows them and they know the staff. It's such a great experience all around. The shop is situated in a small parking lot. Unfortunately, that's where what was good could have been great. Quite frankly, she just didn't do a 'craft' level preparation. The milk was not individually steamed. She batched the milk with another drink. It's not like it was busy or a rush time so there was no need to do that. After steaming the milk, she just dumped the milk in the cup. No attempt at latte art whatsoever and that meant a poor milk incorporation to the espresso. Perhaps this is just an indication that more training is needed but it was not great. For those who read my reviews, another thing that was disappointing is they don't have real mugs, just paper cups. That is ok, but for me it means not the top level. Overall, the drink was ok to good, but not great, which is what I think it has potential to be. One day a few years back I was fishing at Myrtle Grove and needed my daily coffee. I went to Yelp and they delivered as always. LaPlata is only so big so I figured there had to be at least one shop. WBC appeared and I gladly tried and enjoyed. I purchased a sticker that reminded me of the Wu Tang logo which said Wee Bean and I stuck it in the corner of my window. Years later I was afforded the same opportunity and I can say they have really stepped their game up. Nice sitting area, online ordering, plentiful parking, and just a nice chill ambiance. One of the associates of Wee Bean was kind enough to share their back story and upcoming events. All happy! Smiling! Working! The store is super clean and well organized, and everything looks great! The theme in white and black and the store logos are everywhere! I loved all the chalkboards! They also have the Nitro cold brew, which is my summer coffee drink, but since we're in the winter, I tried their Espresso! It was so good and bold , brewed with an authentic Italian machine! My daughter and I went by Wee Bean today to grab coffee. She lives out of town and when she comes to visit it's a must that she gets coffee here. The staff was very inviting, and I decided to get a hot Caramel Macchiato, it's typically the only coffee beverage I buy . As I took the first sip, I was anticipating a basic coffee taste that I get from chain coffee places, to my surprise it was the best Caramel Macchiato I have ever had. The coffee blend was smooth and delightful and the cold foam on top added an extra layer of goodness. The caramel and vanilla were just enough and not too sweet. I ordered a small and my daughter saw my face frowning when I drink the last drop, I wish I had gotten a larger size. I will DEFINITELY be back soon. read more

The coffee is incredible! I am from Seattle and have had a really hard time finding good coffee out here so was stoked about this place. My reheated quiche was still very cold and my pastry very dry but hopefully it will be better next time. If I wasn't pressed to get to work I'm sure they would have reheated it.
