I got an odd vibe visiting this shop with bubblegum pop playing and a clientele of active duty military service members. The options were many, and while I passed on the vegan breakfast burrito, there weren't a lot of other places to get one of those around here. I did get a freshly heated waffle with pearl sugar and an abundance of fruit. The oat milk in my chai was a generic one, and the chai strong but a bit syrup-y. Having said that, I've spent many years driving through Southern Maryland, and if we've progressed to the point where I'm concerned about the brand of vegetarian/vegan products available, progress has been made. The location is what mattered to me, and for this location, I doubt I could have done better for breakfast.

I stopped by for a wee bit to checkout Wee Bean Coffee and was very impressed. The customer service was excellent. They asked clarifying questions regarding the size of my drink, whether I wanted whipped cream in my iced mocha with almond milk, and whether I wanted a bag when they handed me a couple of items. Many places just move past these niceties but not their employees. They even confirmed the spelling of my name to ensure they got it right. Nice touches! The ham and Swiss sandwich was excellent. The Dijon mustard on it added the perfect compliment to the ciabatta topped meal. I also tried the Belgian waffle, and it was the perfect 'slightly but not too sweet' flavor that I enjoy. It was very soft too, making it a treat to eat for sure! The environment was also cozy, with inside and outside seating available. My only slight complaint was the iced coffee needed a bit more ice because it wasn't quite chilled enough. But that minor complaint wasn't enough to bring down the perfect rating. This is a good alternative for those looking for a place other than the big chain coffeehouse. Well done!

Husband and I have dropped by now a few times. So enjoy. The quiche is well worth a try. I get hot chocolate since I normally go home to sleep afterwards, go after my shift. Husband had had regular roasted coffee, ice coffee, black eye, and some huge ice coffee with some kind of foam on top. Oh oh. They can do all kinds of foam flavors.

Wee Bean Coffee Roasters is a popular coffee spot in La Plata. We stopped by after having a meal in the area, and the place was definitely busy; we ordered: +a Chai Latte with oat milk +a Platinum Pumpkin Spice - with pumpkin pie sauce, turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, black pepper, and a hint of cayenne pepper; opted out of the homemade whipped cream +a Cinnamon Fig Latte - prepared with ube, NOLA style +and, a Maple Butter Pecan Macchiato - prepared with steamed milk, maple and butter pecan 'marked' with espresso, topped with a salted caramel drizzle Unfortunately, the drinks were not served 'extra hot' as requested; some of the beverages were nice and strong, while others just tasted like warm milk. Staff could have been more friendly; there is limited seating inside, but most seem to take theirs to go. Tight parking available in their small lot. +tight parking available

Great coffee, I have been coming to wee bean since it was a coffee truck. I don't live in La Plata any more but whenever I am in town I make a point to come back to visit Wee Bean. Great coffee, warm atmosphere, and kind staff! Lots of fun flavors to try. Definitely a must try when stopping by!

Ah mazing! Fast. Reasonably priced. Delicious drinks, toasts, sammies. Highly recommend if you're passing by (skip the Starbucks across the street!!)

Big shoutout to my favorite coffee shop in Charles County. Come on down to La Plata folks where they roast their own coffee. What's up Nick? Appreciate the amazing customer service my guy. My Columbian roasted coffee was amazing. The blue berry muffin I had was packed with flavors I could see. My God it was amazing. #EatGoodAndBeHappy

Worst matcha latte I've ever had. It was a cup of milk with a dash of match to make it green

Appeared accessible to get in with wheelchair use but may have some challenges navigating inside as it's set up like a house inside and there are plenty of tables packed in. I called to see if we could add our name to the waitlist, but they were only taking walk ins. Once we arrived, we added our name and waited about 5-10 minutes before we were seated. The menu is quite simple, but includes breakfast, lunch, appetizers, sweet and savory crepes. I ordered the chicken breast with potatoes and scrambled eggs. It also came with a biscuit. The portion size was good and I was super excited about the food because it was home cooked. As a person with special dietary needs this was the perfect place to come and enjoy a home cooked breakfast that wasn't full of salt. The eggs were real eggs and scrambled perfectly, the potatoes appeared fresh cut (did not come salted, I added my own), chicken breast cutlet with a crispy breading and a gravy or sauce on top. My food was served HOT!!!! Each table also had sea salt/pepper grinders. I ordered a Sunrise mocktail which was also very good. I enjoyed my meal and left stuffed! Looking forward to coming back again.

Here's what I didn't like about Number one see my picture, they served me the platter with a hair on it. I don't send food back but honestly that's not a very good first impression. Tells me a lot about the cleanliness of the place and their attention to detail Number two I really like pork sausage links which they don't have they have patties but not links. They do have salmon cakes which are very pricey and from the way the waitress described don't seem to be quite filling so I didn't order them. It would have been nice to see that on the menu as a side option but I didn't ask the waitress about it Number three. They charge an extra fee if you use a credit card. Plenty of off-street parking. It's in a nice location. Honestly I found this a little bit disappointing because I usually like supporting local restaurants as opposed to chains. I think I would have gotten a better meal had I gone to cracker barrel Price is okay give him the quality and quantity of food Overall I'm not too impressed with this place

Unfortunately, the location in DC has permanently closed and we were still very much in the mood for some pastries... my cousin who is French has previously sang the praises of this Lil French pastry shop, so of course I had to give it a try. I am so happy that I did because I truly believe that I have stumbled upon my new favorite pastry shop in the area! Upon walking in the smell of croissants and almonds and sweet, sweet delicacies filled my nostrils. I basically became the human version of Remy from ratatouille inhaling a delicious bouillabaisse simmering on the stove top for hours....seeing colors and flavors so bright and intoxicating I simply had to have it I walked in and my eyes were instantly attracted to so many delicious options from classics like Palmiers and Napoleons to some unique flavor combos I've never tried before combined like raspberry and pistachio. Of course, I decided to grab a little bit of everything to make an accurate assessment as a YELP Elite should!! My favorite hands-down was the Berry Millefuille. The way the pastry crumbled in my mouth with every bite, combined with the tart, fresh raspberries, and thick flavorful custard.... Was worth every penny. Honorable mentions go to the peach rosemary tart, which was so unique with the added botanical of rosemary with some fresh sweet peach slices on top and a very crunchy tart base. We all enjoyed everything we purchased! I also ordered one of their seasonal specialties, the rosemary latte with skim milk and iced. The flavors were so uniquely crafted to where you could taste everything but everything combined together for the perfect sip. The ladies who greeted us at the cash register were so patient, so kind, and so understanding of my excitement and difficulty deciding and they even helped me add on a little chocolate happy birthday rectangle to the pastry I purchased for my husband! Without a doubt, this is only the first of the many times I will visit the establishment. It was so authentic, so delicious and passed all the vibe checks even from the French side of the family. I was told I have to return when they first open to have a fresh croissant and a fresh baguette that is on par with what you would have in Paris. Even the items in the fridge were made in France and were delicious fruit nectars that were very unique- we purchased a passionfruit nectar that didn't even make it past the doors before we had completely inhaled it and purchased a lychee nectar for later. I am so excited to have learned about this establishment and believe me when I say you must run, not walk, to experience it for yourself. Note- The dine in area inside the establishment is limited to a couple small tables. Definitely not equipped for large parties and a couple outdoor seatings right outside.

It was a beautiful summer afternoon in the DMV area - the low-humidity and happy-sunshine type of day when your hair doesn't frizz, and you would be just as happy sitting indoors or outdoors because the weather was perfectly cooperative. We found ourselves at Un Je Ne Sais Quoi, which was teeming with people - line out of the door, small space, tiny tables, indoor and outdoor seating, first come first served. We snagged seating indoors and soaked in the laid back European vibes. We had our delicious coffees - mercifully served in proper ceramic cups and some sweet treats. Would definitely be back - perhaps in the morning because I hear that the croissants are supposed to be on point!

You're going to love this place." She knows me well. Walking into Weird Brothers feels a little like stumbling into the cantina after taking a wrong turn through Mos Eisley. The place is loaded with Star Wars, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, and Nightmare Before Christmas memorabilia. As a longtime Star Wars fan and hardcore comic collector, I immediately went into "Okay, let's see what they have" mode. And that's before even getting to the coffee. Weird Brothers roasts their own beans and has a bunch of sci-fi-themed blends. The names alone had me reaching for my wallet. I'm the kind of person who will buy a comic because it says "First Appearance" on the bag, so naturally I'm susceptible to coffee with a geeky name. They even have a special blend for the CrossFit gym next door, which I thought was a pretty cool touch. Nothing says community partnership quite like supplying caffeine to people voluntarily throwing heavy objects around at 6 a.m. Supporting your neighboring businesses? +5 reputation points. Now, about the food... Come here for the coffee. When we visited, they were completely out of the breakfast sandwiches. The remaining options were quiches, so we grabbed the ham & cheese and spinach. Unfortunately, they weren't freshly made and were simply reheated. They were perfectly edible, but definitely more "side quest" than "main storyline." The Americano, however, was good. That's what brought me back to the primary mission: coffee and geeky stuff. I definitely want to return and pick up a few bags of their beans. At this point, I'm basically looking at the coffee menu the same way I look at a wall of long boxes at a comic shop: "I don't need all of these... but I should probably check every single one just in case there's a key." Four stars for the coffee, atmosphere, in-house roasting, and ridiculous amount of geek cred. The food kept this from going to five stars, but I'll absolutely be back. Now excuse me while I go investigate these coffee blends like I'm hunting for a first appearance of Boba Fett in a stack of back issues. May the roast be with you.
