The donuts sitting in the rack are soft and moist as if they were just made. The workers are very friendly and smile. The prices are pretty good but, the donuts are again moist and full of flavor.

HONEY DIPPED -- Had these a few Saturdays ago and have been craving them ever since. Never thought I'd find a glazed donut that I liked better than Krispy Kreme glazed, but this is it. These donuts were soft and not too sweet. This hankering will be dealt with this week! (My fiancé's pic posted to detail the seriousness of it all, lol) __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

Many beverage choices, but their coffee is the best!

Best donuts in Southern Maryland!!!!! This place is a gem!!!!! (Or dive some people may call it!) I love vanilla cream filled donuts and this place has the best. They are freshly made here at this location and delicious... lots of filling! The customer service is always great. Warning, they sell out out of certain flavors quickly, so get there early on the weekends. My husband loves the honey dip and the blueberry and crueler are yummy too! The outside and inside are older looking, but I prefer classic. They've been around forever and stay amazing. It's clean inside and I've never had a donut from here that I didn't love. Simply the best!

Best donut shop in Waldorf and LaPlata! The price is a bit higher than KK and DD however the quality is much higher $17.10 for a dozen i.e., the portion of the filling (custard, lemon, jelly) is fuller inside and the size is slightly bigger than of KK and DD. Excellent customer service and the lady at the counter is super nice - serves with a smile. The place is clean and seems popular in the area because there's always patrons inside buying donuts. My only advise is to get there early as the donut favorites (bavarian and boston cream) are always at shortage. Highly recommend this place to all fellow yelpers!

Once you have a Donut Connection donut you won't want DD anymore, no comparison in freshness, and the customer service is on point.

Solid, modern eats with a nostalgic vibe!…read more Always a fan of Silver Diner and this location does not disappoint. The vibe here is of a casual diner, with an expansive menu that changes often with the seasons and local eats. I came here after visiting a friend out in the Waldorf area and decided to grab take-out before heading back into DC. I will admit I almost did not stop here because it was near closing time and I hate order from place near closing. I got here near closing and the food was just as fresh as if it was opening time. We all know how it is getting somewhere to eat near closing time.... You tend to get subpar service and food. You subject to getting a scraps, bad orders, guilty eye rolls from your server, "ain't got this, "ain't got that," issues....lol. But, this was not the case at this Silver Diner. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Our bartender/server was Cameron C. and he did an amazing job serving us and making us feel welcomed. He's truly a people person. He kept the drinks on point while we waited for our food and made sure our orders were prepared exactly how we requested. During this visit, I tried the Short Rib Burger, Loaded Fries as a side & Buffalo Wings. Everything was delicious and fresh. And, the burger was the star!...A juicy 1/2lb burger pattie cooked to perfection....topped with bacon & tender braised short rib!! It was complete meat overload, super fresh and sooooo good! For anyone that is "meataholic" like myself...you gotta try this thing. My wings and the loaded fries complemented my dish well too. Not to mention, everything was packed well for the long haul and drive back to DC....of course, I couldn't resist and snuck in a few bites of the fries at each stop light heading back down Route 5. Let's just call it a #qualitycheck! lol ;-) In all, I enjoyed my visit. This location gets two thumbs up in my book. I'l definitely visit this SD again if I am ever in this neck of the woods hungry and in need. * Yelp Elite Tip & Honorable Mention: Sign up for their "Eat Well Do Well" Rewards Program. Today I finally visited and was a bit disappointed to see the underwhelming interior where it is strictly carry out and cheap metal guest chairs to wait on while the food is prepared. But it's really about the food right?! Meh. It was very hit and miss. I ordered the (4) sliders with grilled onions. They were slightly charred which was nice, and they were juicy, but they could have been cooked a little more (they were like medium to medium well and I prefer well done - I should note they didn't ask how I preferred my burgers cooked). I also ordered their jumbo fried wings and picked sweet and sassy sauce. The sauce was tasty and the wings had a nice texture, but beyond the sauce the wings had a plain flavor suggesting they didn't season the wings before frying and then coating them with sauce. Overall the food was solid but not awe inspiring. I was less impressed with their cakes. I ordered a strawberry slice and a carrot cake. The carrot cake was moist and wasn't bad at all. I've had much better, but it was edible and satisfied my sweet tooth for the day. The strawberry cake however was dry and grainy. Perhaps it was old. It was definitely a waste of $7.99! On the plus side the employee was friendly and nice, so there's that!

The steak and cheese featured soggy bread with a side of limp lukewarm fries, and the jerk chicken was a poor imitation of jerk flavor, as the best word I could use to describe it was lifeless. On the bright side, the employee was friendly and the food was ready on time, so at least there was that. Unfortunately, this was a total miss so my first time will also be my last time.

We walked in and saw a variety of food and drink items both made fresh and pre-prepared. I ordered the avocado toast and it was the best I've had in a very long time! I also ordered an iced coffee with sugar-free vanilla and it was perfect! I was also very happy to see that they carry the B-Doughnuts cinnamon buns, so I had to get one of those to-go! While I waited for my food to be prepared I took a lot around the market and they have so many different items for sale (spices, honeys, cheeses, etc.) There's a little sitting area where you can enjoy your food inside if you'd like and a nice selection of wines, vodkas and whiskeys in the back. Alexa, play "always time" by Miguel…read more Cracker Barrel in Waldorf will always hold a special place for me. It's the kind of spot that makes you imagine Sunday mornings with your person, the two of you settling into a table sharing life, and growing old together without even noticing time passing. I probably won't make that long drive from the city again, but the good memories tied to this place are ones I'll always keep close. I never had any real issues here, aside from one cold cup of coffee and even that feels small now. The wait staff was always warm and friendly, the kind of people who make a place feel familiar. And that little store inside? Still one of my favorite parts. All the cozy, quirky things you don't need but somehow want anyway. That's the charm. Parking is plentiful, and if you go, take that left when you exit. Trust me, it will make life easy. And well, life should be an easy and pleasant journey as possible. Let's get into it! Grandma's breakfast Always! - Blueberry pancakes and eggs with bacon. My little Sunday ritual. The kind of plate that feels like comfort, memory, and a hug all at once. For about $18 (before tax and tip), you get three selections and two sides, plus biscuits and cornbread ,which is definitely a good value for the quantity of food. I chose the fried chicken, meatloaf, and chicken & dumplings with turnip greens and mashed potatoes. The restaurant was pretty empty, and while the country store area is always charming, the dining room itself felt very cold .....literally. I will say my waitress, Tamara, was amazing. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made sure my drinks stayed full. Truly top-tier service. As for the food, it just wasn't good. The fried chicken was crispy but had a strange, almost watery taste. The meatloaf was dry and not appetizing. The chicken & dumplings were the only decent item, but it's hard to mess that up. The greens and mashed potatoes tasted old, and even though the biscuits and cornbread were warm, they tasted like they'd been baked earlier and reheheated. The peach sweet tea was good, though. I usually come to Cracker Barrel for breakfast because their pancakes (with the crispy edges) are good. But lately, even breakfast hasn't tasted as fresh as I remember. It could just be this location, but overall the quality feels like it's declined. The value is there for the portion size, but the freshness and flavor just aren't. I hope it's not the brand overall, because years ago Cracker Barrel tasted hot, fresh, and truly country. This visit just felt old and reheated.
