Ventured here today looking for some fresh fruits and vegetables. Was happy with the selection for today. Picked up some yummy fruits and veggies. Was excited to see seeded watermelons and seeded grapes! We also grabbed some jelly's and apple butter. The Apple Butter took me back to Sunday mornings breakfast at Grandmas. The bakery side had a variety of yummy treats from doughnuts, pies, cookies and cakes. Definitely grabbed a few for later. The Apple Pie ice cream my hunnie ordered was delicious. Tasted just like Apple Pie. Looking forward to our next adventure here already. read more

I visited the nursery section only and the variety was impressive. I found most of what I was looking for which was a win. However the service was very hit or miss. The woman who checked us out was an absolute delight, warm, funny, and exactly what you hope for at a local farm stand. Unfortunately my experience in the herb section was the opposite. When I asked about strawberry plants and was told they didn't have any, I mentioned I was a first time gardener and asked if she could recommend something beginner friendly. Her response was essentially "just pick something, all you have to do is water them." When I explained again that I was new and looking for guidance, she told me she couldn't help me. As a first time gardener trying to learn, that kind of dismissiveness was discouraging. If it weren't for the lovely woman at checkout, I likely wouldn't return. I ended up going to Ed's Plant World in Brandywine where the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful to a beginner. The difference was night and day. That said, I'm giving 4 stars because the place is really awesome in terms of selection and variety. The woman in the herb section may have just been having a bad day. We were in the area visiting family and my daughter took us to Miller Farms. Good selection of fruits and vegetables, including a wide variety of potatoes. Large selection of meats, especially pork products. They were unfortunately out of double yolk eggs which we were curious to try. The bakery section was excellent, especially since they had a no sugar added apple pie that turned out to be delicious. We also bought donuts for the family. Not sure if we'll ever be in Maryland again, but will stop at Miller Farms if we do. read more

Note: summertime crowds yet worth it A friend lives nearby Miller's Farm and introduced me to their farm made ice cream and bakery items (not pictured). I finally got to stop by on my own to grab some of their banana pudding. It was amazing as their other products I've tried at my friend's. It wasn't too sweet yet had the perfect sweetness to fill your craving. The bread inside the pudding was soft. The pudding itself showcases the quality of their farm. I also grabbed a Dutch Apple Half which was perfect. The top is dressed with nuts and caramelized apples. The baker entrance is on the left had side. You make your way through the bakery full of donuts, pies, ice cream, cookies and an area full of swag. The counter to check out is near the front of the building at the exit door. So the customer foot traffic flows well. The exit door takes you to the front of the building near the concession counter. The concession counter has a variety of food options; I have yet to try. That's on the list for my next visit. I usually visit my friend for meals so I'll have to set a time to have food at the farm. Next is the market on the right side of the concession stand. The market has farm fresh vegetables and meats. There are dairy products such as cheese. You'll also find jam and pickled peppers. The section of Amish goods caught my eye; the medicine in particular. Customer service was excellent. I'm glad I finally got a chance to stop by the farm myself, and plan to stop by to try more items. read more

This is such a cute place to stop and experience some of the joys of fall. We walked through the different pumpkins and stopped in the quaint market. We walked away with some mini pumpkins and green tomatoes and will frequent Miller Farms next fall. read more

I had a very poor experience with the quality of a fresh watermelon that I purchased from Miller Farms.. I purchased a fresh watermelon expecting professional quality fruit, but received the exact opposite.The spoiled watermelon was, completely different from what was advertised (fresh/sweet). I called Miller Farms multiple times on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Each time I called, I left a voice mail message. As of today, I have not received a phone call or text message. Obviously customer server and replying to customer phone calls is a low priority item for them. Paying full price for sub-par quality and zero accountability is incredibly frustrating. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I want to start by saying that I genuinely love this place. I've never had a bad experience here, and the ice cream is always amazing. Unfortunately, my visit on the 4th was disappointing. I came in to purchase 2 pints and 1 quart of ice cream (peach/strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla). I asked for a pint of the peach/strawberry but was immediately told that they were running low on peach but she could ask if I could get a cup of it. I am purchasing ice cream for my family. A cup wouldn't suffice nor would it last on the way home but I did want her to ask. Maybe they could put it in an actual container with a lid. She inquiried and I was told no. No worries. I decided to just get the chocolate and vanilla and was also told I couldn't because those flavors were also running low. I could only order a cup or cone instead. What made the situation confusing was that I had just seen a few customers ahead of me purchase two quarts of vanilla. I completely understand if there was a temporary policy to limit pint or quart sales because of the holiday or low inventory but I wasn't aware of it and I don't believe that was posted anywhere. I ended up leaving empty handed. I still love this place but was just disappointed on today. read more

I went to the strawberry festival on the weekend of May 11 and it was a blast. The strawberries were so yummy and worth the mud. Afterwards we went to get some hot dogs, chips, and ice cream from the bakery. Found some really yummy treats and I plan to come back for more. read more

Great Country Store and find. This place is a hidden gem. All under one roff, they have fresh vegetables, eggs, cheese and lots of great pastry items and snacks. One item for sure that caught my eye was the Apple Butter and Jams. I love a good Jam and the strawberry jam here did not disappoint. In addition to a great variety of farmer's market produce and meats, there is. a garden supply store and bakery attached. The bakery itself will definitively make me put this place on repeat....there were so many great offerings to choose from.... Pies, fresh doughnuts, cakes, cookies....and soft-serve ice cream! I was like a kid in a candy and didn't know what to choose because everything looked so good. I decided on a Cherry Pie that just kept calling me and an Apple Caramel Cookie out of curiosity. Ice cream was a little bit on the soft-serve side (something you get from mcdonalds or ice cream truck) and i was expect more creamy and regular milk product. I've tried three times and I'm done. Every time was just as disappointing or more than the last. Twice it wasn't even clean. Stepping over various items in the floor (pallets, boxes, etc) the lack of more local products, and since I'm critiquing - the service was nonexistent. I'm not buying anything if you can't find the time to answer my questions. These are basic things. However, the mold on my bakery items is what sealed their fate for me. Oh well, with everyone else giving them high praise, I'm sure they won't miss my opinion but it really begs to question- what are others requirements for 4 or 5 stars because I haven't seen it yet here. Great fields of strawberries to pick. The strawberries were sweet and delicious. And the staff manning the field were so nice and helpful. There's a nice market and bakery too but you have to drive to it. It's not too far but if you're use to everything being in one place when picking one may find that annoying. The market and bakery had a great assortment of goods that were reasonably priced. We had a fun day and would return. I recommend checking it out if you like yummy strawberries! read more

Miller Farms is a community staple in southern Prince George's County. Besides the variety of produce, the best part is the ice cream! They always have a seasonal flavor and it is usually delicious. You won't love every flavor but I can appreciate the freshness. Produce and goods are reasonably priced for a farm store. As with anything, quality can vary so be sure to check as best you can before you buy. In addition to that, they offer some seasonal activities such as strawberry picking and fall harvest. Honestly, this review is overdue but I love Miller Farms and can't believe I wasn't hitting this place up all summer long. The homemade, flavored ice cream, though.... Come on. It's so good and so reasonably priced. We came for ice cream, pumpkins and mums one fine fall day. The mums and pumpkins were purchased outdoors. Mums were $15 but gorgeous! I've cream is purchased in the bakery, which smells amazing. Some of the prices are high AF but you can't deny the quality. We also came for fall family fun day one weekend and it was the perfect Sunday outing. I've tried the apple pie and pumpkin flavored ice cream... egg nog is up next! read more

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT buy an expensive watermelon from Millers Farm. We purchased one and it was over ripened and mush. We took it back for an exchange and they wouldn't exchange it. The barcode was still on it and they still wouldn't exchange it. Go to Food Lion off of St Patrick drive for lot cheaper and very good watermelons. We have bought 3 from them and all were good. I wanted ice cream So we went an got ice cream from the bakery side and a few veggies and apple butter from the market side. The ice cream was delicious and as usual, we took our time and ate our dessert before getting back in the car I noticed that there was black drapery on a few of the signs - then my husband noticed something else; a sign. Chuck passed in June 2022. He was the manager of Miller Farms. I was so sad to learn that. That explained the somber attitudes of all of the workers. DONUTS & LOAF CAKE REVIEW: I purchased a variety of mini donuts from Miller Farms. Surprisingly they were pretty good. One thing I've noticed about farmers market bakeries is that they really can't miss with their baked goods. They might not be premium or novelty baked goods however they do take you down memory lane to the days when your parents or grandparents would bake homemade treats. You don't see too many donut shops (or bakeries for that matter) offering mini donuts and certainly not in the variety that Miller Farms offers. I really enjoyed the cinnamon sugar, cake, dutch sour cream and powdered donuts. It seems their thing is the cake donut and they do a good job of diversifying it with different flavor combinations. Easily you can scoff down 6 of these mini donuts in one sitting. I also purchased shortcake and banana loafs which were OK. In fact I wasn't overly thrilled about the loafs. They were a bit on the dry side and for the two to be cakes they certainly lacked in sweetness and in my opinion were overpriced because of it. I will give them another try to experience their other baked goods and food. Give them a try. read more
